Batch Processing
Batches are groups of similar data or tasks. Batch processing takes these similar tasks from a particular app or piece of software and does them all at once. Normally, commands for batch processing are set up to allow one batch of similar tasks to be completed, followed by another batch, and so on. These tasks will run in a specific order. For example, payroll tasks may run in sequence with employee identification numbers. Batch processing is usually automated and can run with minimal intervention.
