On Time In Full (OTIF)
On time in full (OTIF) is a measure of how well a company delivers the entire quantity of a product to a specified location by the customer’s requested date. It is usually represented as a percentage. OTIF can be calculated using the following equation: OTIF = Fill Rate x On Time
What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About On Time In Full (OTIF)
A business that delivers a perfect fill rate and perfect on time will achieve a perfect OTIF, which indicates a perfect order fulfilled. All items in a sales order must be delivered on time and in full. OTIF is an ideal measure; however, “on-time” can be interpreted depending on many factors. For example, a manufacturer’s promise date may differ from a retailer's requested date. Likewise, a specific time slot may differ from a broad time window.
