I don't need technology for technology's sake. It has to make me a better or more efficient recruiter. I joined Top Echelon initially because of the Network, but TE Recruit has become an increasingly important part of how I run my business. The combination of the ATS/CRM and the Network is particularly powerful. I can work my own searches and candidates while also making those candidates and opportunities available to other recruiters, creating possibilities that simply wouldn't exist inside a standalone database. What has impressed me most recently is the pace at which Top Echelon continues to improve the product. Features such as Data Enrichment, the RingCentral integration, AI capabilities, sequencing and automations, and now an open API aren't just cosmetic additions. They create opportunities to rethink and improve actual recruiting workflows. I find myself looking at new features and asking, "How can I use this to recruit better?" That is a good sign for any technology platform. The support has also been excellent. I recently found an issue with the new RingCentral integration where a phone number already in my database wasn't being recognized correctly. Rather than giving me a canned response, the TE team investigated it, figured out exactly why it was happening, discussed the logic with me, and considered how the integration could work better in the real world. That responsiveness matters to me. TE Recruit isn't perfect, and like any substantial ATS there is a learning curve. There are also areas where I would like to see the product go further. But I actually consider that a positive part of my experience: the company continues to develop the platform, listens to recruiter feedback, and seems genuinely interested in how recruiters use the system rather than assuming they already have everything figured out. For me, the biggest change has been gradual. I originally thought of Top Echelon primarily as a recruiting network that also had an ATS. Increasingly, I think of TE Recruit as the center of a larger recruiting ecosystem. The more I learn about what it can do, and the more capabilities they add, the more of my workflow I find myself moving there. After many years in this business, I don't get particularly excited about software simply because it has new features. I get excited when I can see how those features might help me make another placement, serve a client better, connect another recruiter with the right candidate, or eliminate work that doesn't need to be done manually.
