UserWay Accessibility Widget is an ADA Compliance accessibility game changer!

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall I am a very happy with UserWay's widget, their support team, and their offerings as a whole. Their price point is very reasonable. I highly recommend them to all my colleagues.

Pros:

UserWay Accessibility Widget is a game changer. For us it was super easy to set up, install, and it's been up and running since 2023 without issue. The live chat support is incredibly knowledgeable, quick with their response times, and always makes sure to go the extra mile in completing our requests timely and correctly. The features and options within UserWays accessibility widgets are the best I've found. Their seamless integration with my Shopify store makes them the best of the best.

Cons:

I sometimes find that I get decision paralysis and the amount of options they offer within their widgets gets a bit overwhelming.

Solid Accessibility Tool

4.0 4 days ago New

Comments: Overall, UserWay’s Accessibility Widget delivers solid performance and value, though refining the support experience and UI clarity would further enhance its appeal.

Pros:

We appreciated the widget’s ease of installation, customization, and reliable performance, along with its competitive pricing compared to options like accessiBe.

Cons:

The main drawbacks were delayed and unclear customer support, frequent changes in account managers, and a portal UI that could be more intuitive.

Alternatives Considered: accessiBe

Reasons for Choosing UserWay Accessibility Widget: We switched from accessiBe because UserWay's widget offered more reliable performance at a competitive price that better suited our needs.

Switched From: accessiBe

Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: We opted for UserWay instead of accessiBe because it offered extra features like more frequent compliance scans, was simple to set up, and came at a more competitive price.

Jira connection needs some tweaking

3.0 2 months ago

Pros:

That it connects with Jira so that we can distribute across the product teams

Cons:

The format in which it creates the issues makes it arduous to discern which part of the website it's on unless you go into each ticket and read the description. It'd be more helpful if the page was the first part of the issue title.

UserWay Response

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear that the Jira integration is helping with task distribution across your teams. Your suggestion to include the page name in the issue title is excellent and will be shared with our development team for consideration. Enhancing clarity is a priority for us, and we appreciate your input in helping us improve!

UserWay is an Indispensable Tool for Users and Web Managers Alike!

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: Overall, my experience with the UserWay plugin has been really positive. As a web manager and user of our website, I find using the UserWay app on desktop and mobile seamless and really helpful. I always find when another website implements the UserWay widget, it always enhances my experience.

Pros:

Visually, I think the widget is really appealing on our homepage, and it doesn't feel intrusive to your overall experience when interacting with the website, while also providing functionality and accessibility to users. I also enjoy the customization options within the management tab, such as color, icon appearance, and button location. Additionally, the options provided in the trial version of the app go above and beyond some of the other accessibility widgets that we tested.

Cons:

I initially had some trouble successfully signing into the widget on our WordPress site. It said that the user that downloaded the plugin was Team [sensitive content hidden], and I was unable to make any changes through our dashboard, and on a few occasions, I got a notification that there was an Account ID Mismatch, which caused us some trouble. Luckily, I reached out to a UserWay customer service representative, and they assisted me in resolving the problem quickly and efficiently.

Alternatives Considered: accessiBe

Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: I preferred the look and usability of UserWay more so than the others that we tested, and the trial version was more comprehensive than other ones.

Easy installation and simple settings

5.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: Great support and well worth the cost. This has saved me so much time as a website developer and provided my clients with more accessibility options and control than I could offer the way I used to.

Pros:

Very easy to install! Simplified settings so it is user friendly for even those who aren't website development savvy.

Cons:

I'd love to be able to change the icon of the button to be white without having to do custom coding. Hopefully that is something they will add in the future.

Alternatives Considered: accessiBe

Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: Looked more professional. I saw other sites using UserWay so I could see the product in use.

Pros:

The Widget is easy to use and understand.

Cons:

A Highly Effective Accessibility Tool

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: Overall, my experience with the UserWay Accessibility Widget has been very positive. It’s an excellent tool for improving website accessibility and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. The widget has made a noticeable difference in how users interact with our site, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to enhance their site’s accessibility.

Pros:

What I like most about the UserWay Accessibility Widget is its ease of use and seamless integration into our website. The widget provides a wide range of accessibility features, ensuring our site is more inclusive. I particularly appreciate how customizable the widget is, allowing us to match its appearance with our site’s design while providing essential accessibility tools.

Cons:

The one downside I’ve noticed is that some advanced customization options require a paid plan. While the free version is quite powerful, it would be great if more customization features were available without upgrading. The initial setup can also be tricky for those without technical experience, though the support team is helpful.

Alternatives Considered: accessiBe and Siteimprove

Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: I chose the UserWay Accessibility Widget because of its robust features and ease of integration. Compared to the alternatives, UserWay offered more flexibility in customization and a user-friendly interface that required minimal technical expertise to implement. Additionally, the transparency and clarity of UserWay's pricing and features were more appealing, making it the best fit for our needs.

Gets the job done!

5.0 8 months ago

Pros:

Pricing is excellent. Our previous accessibility vendor changed their pricing structure which raised our costs by 10x. Onboarding was seamless. By far the best customer support I've seen for an accessibility company as well.

Cons:

The inability for the automatic compliance website checker is a con.

Alternatives Considered: Equalweb

Reasons for Choosing UserWay Accessibility Widget: Primarily because they changed their pricing structure. See previous comment.

Switched From: accessiBe

Reasons for Switching to UserWay Accessibility Widget: Best pricing and fastest communication.

UserWay Is the best Accessibility Widget and Customer Service is wonderful

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Overall, my experience with the UserWay Accessibility Widget has been excellent. It has become an essential tool in my toolkit as a web developer, allowing me to effortlessly incorporate accessibility features into the websites I create for clients. The widget's ease of use, comprehensive accessibility features, and seamless integration with various platforms have made it a go-to solution for ensuring that my clients' websites are accessible to all users. Furthermore, the exceptional customer support provided by UserWay, exemplified by my recent interaction with [sensitive content hidden] reinforces my confidence in the product and the company behind it. I look forward to continuing to utilize and recommend the UserWay Accessibility Widget for future projects.

Pros:

The thing I liked most about the UserWay Accessibility Widget is its simplicity and effectiveness. As a web developer, I appreciate tools that are easy to implement and use, and the UserWay widget fits the bill perfectly. It seamlessly integrates into both custom WordPress sites and proprietary custom CMS sites, allowing me to provide clients with a straightforward accessibility solution for their websites without hassle. Additionally, the range of accessibility features offered by the widget is impressive, catering to various needs of users with disabilities, including text-to-speech, font and contrast adjustment, keyboard navigation, and compatibility with screen reader software. This comprehensive approach ensures that the websites I develop are accessible to a wide audience, aligning with accessibility standards and regulations.

Cons:

While my experience with the UserWay Accessibility Widget has been overwhelmingly positive, there are a few minor drawbacks worth mentioning. One aspect that I found slightly limiting is the customization options available within the widget. While the essential accessibility features are well-implemented and customizable to some extent, there may be cases where clients require more advanced customization options to align with their specific branding or user preferences. Additionally, although the widget is generally user-friendly, there could be improvements in the user interface to make certain features more intuitive, especially for clients who may not be as tech-savvy.

Great product with solid customer support

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: I am very happy with the partner experience. It adds real value for our clients and reasonable recurring revenue for partners.

Pros:

The widget is easy to use and set up with the JS embed code. Also support via chat is solid.

Cons:

Userway needs the official Joomla extension to be updated. It would be easier to integrate with Joomla-based websites.

I fully recommend this product to all sizes of business.

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: The experience has been excellent. the staff pre-sale were helpful, and after sale the support has been excellent too. I haven;t really needed to worry about the app since it was installed, it has been a great bebefit knowing we have accessibility fo rour sudents covered.

Pros:

The way that the app is easy to set up, and instantly has features for all types of accessibility needs.

Cons:

the only thing I cna think of that I would change is let me have my CRTL+U back! As a web designer I use the CTRL+U as a shortcut to see the code parsed in the web browser, but it is now a shortcut to open the app. Seriously it's not an issue, but that's the only thing I would change!

Comments: Provides the functionality we need for compliance with accessibility requirements.

Userway widget on University website

4.0 8 months ago

Comments: So far it appears to be working well, but we have only had it for a week.

Pros:

It allows us to provide enhanced user experience for the students and staff, and even members of the public, who need to use our site for information.

Cons:

We find the screen reader AI-generated American-ish pronunciation of Māori to be appalling. It's almost a liability.

Cons:
