Ideal Product for Project Management

5.0 last year

Comments: As a planning engineer, this software have definitely impressed me with its management tools, project tracking tools to achieve company's goals and milestones.

Pros:

ACC's management tools have impressed me so far as an engineer working on the planning side. Schedule is created when starting a project and I can divide each member's tasks and allocate them to everyone. Then tracking can be done of each member's progress while monitoring the overall progress of the project. This was very useful for me to track cost of the project and compare the cost vs budget. Further its mobile access allows me to work remotely also.

Cons:

Since this is a subscription based software, it may be costly for small companies but we don't have that issue because we are benefitting way more than we spend. There are lots of tools to be learnt so it is time consuming.

Alternatives Considered:

Autodesk Construction Cloud

4.0 last year

Comments: Overall it was okay. The implementation team (3rd party vendor who sold the bundle to us) could have been better, but the product itself was overall good.

Pros:

The fact that all of the modules within Build, Cost Management, and Insight tie into each other makes it very easy to create Issues connected to RFIs to Plans, etc.

Cons:

Sometimes it can be a little clunky with how some items work on a desktop version, but not on a mobile version. In Meetings, for example, one can assign due dates and people to complete the action items on the desktop version, but you cannot assign people in the mobile version.

Not my favorite software

3.0 4 months ago

Pros:

Not really sure. I have to pay as a sub for my own subscription when a GC uses it and there is a ton of information on here that is never used that just jumbles everything up

Cons:

The fact that I have to pay to use this software as a subcontractor when there are so many other software's that the GC pays for so we don't have to. Lot's of products far superior

Autodesk Construction Cloud brings new features

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Overall I think that ACC is a welcome upgrade to BIM360. It offers better co-ordination tools for designers, and makes full use of rendering tools to be able to fly through models to identify clashes.

Pros:

The Autodesk construction cloud follows on from the successes of Autodesk BIM360. It is a simple to use cloud based system for hosting and sharing Revit models.

Cons:

Some of the features of ACC are a bit mystifying for someone new to the software. A simpler interface could solve this as well as better integration between the desktop and online viewers.

Autodesk Construction Cloud

5.0 last year

Pros:

The ease of uploading sheets and files to communicate with field staff is great. The new calibration tool improved accuracy now that you can set the scale and not relay on the 2 pt configuration.

Cons:

The BIM viewing errors out often. Viewing document on a mobile device is great you can search pretty easy. On a computer its nots as convenient. Sometimes zooming in on prints takes a while to load or needs to be refreshed.

Excellent tool for collaboration in the construction field.

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: Our biggest use is Revit model cloud collaboration. We are attempting to use it more for document control.

Pros:

Many different features all in one location.

Cons:

Some of the features need work. Model coordination works well for an overview, but its lacking for extensive coordination. Docs specifications needs the ability for markup. And that's just a few examples. Overall, needs fine tuning, buts its been getting better each year.

Comments: I really like that this website exists because i can use it to provide the Site guys with the latest plans.

Pros:

I really liked the ease that it provides to upload and update documents.

Cons:

That it doesn't have video guides, it would help to understand better many of it's features for us visual learners.

The Innovation of Teamwork through Cloud

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: Works very well after setting up the initial phase. Abit of Lag when working on big projects which is understandable seeing as you are working on the Revit Model between multiple users.

Pros:

I like how we are able to deploy a Revit model for multiple users to work at once. Very convenient and time saving when working on big projects.

Cons:

Can be quite difficult to operate when first starting out. Requires communication with the Autodesk Team to learn the software and the ability to remove unwanted Revit Models/ Projects.

Most impactful review

5.0 last year

Comments: I can describe in a few words, the productivity and efficiency working collaboratively with the work and the office as a whole has been totally enriching.

Pros:

I think that the way of saving and organizing all the files in the same source of truth DOCS is one of the things that has made my productivity easier in my day using ACC. The second is BUILD, the connection between the field and our office. It has been one of the most significant advances in our work workflow on the construction site.

Cons:

I think that in BUILD the way the sheets are organized can be improved, recently you did an update on a way of organizing called collection, it's not bad, it has given me the way to find the shop drawings sets more easily, but after they are in the collection folder that I have created and I cannot take the sheets out from there again, you should create a simpler way to be able to locate the version set more easily, because it gets complicated when I have many, I take them out at least a week 8 shop drawings set, imagine there are around 32 minimum sets per month, it has been difficult for us on many occasions to find a particular set, that is, more than a filter is needed, so it is better to be able to organize by folders.

Happy with Autodesk CC

Comments: Overall our users are happy with Construction Cloud. We used to host our files internally but since moving to CC it has made a big difference as far as ease of accessing and maintaining files

Pros:

Safe and secure place to keep working files. It is great for onsite/offsite collabs. Easy learning curve for users

Cons:

It is pricey per seat. As with any cloud product, internet and product uptime dependency is always a risk

Autodesk Construction Cloud review

Comments: Making design and shop drawing drawings for all projects, whether when I was a student until now, and making inventory of projects...

Pros:

The group's programs are the leading programs in the field of engineering drawings in its various fields. All engineering drawings are made by it.Coordination is made between engineering disciplines. An inventory of projects is made to calculate and price the executed quantities.

Cons:

The cost of the program, especially in Middle Eastern countries, is considered high for students.

Real-time collaboration on construction projects.

5.0 last year

Comments: In the company where I work (multinational), it allowed the team to improve times and to have an idea of the progress of the work on a daily basis.

Pros:

It is a very complex platform that centralizes everything from plans, technical sheets, schedules and others. It also allows users to visualize the modifications made in real time.

Cons:

The cost allows large companies to acquire it, but not small ones. In addition, it requires training of all personnel for a better use of the platform. However, its benefits are highly measurable.

Autodesk Construction Cloud

Comments: ACC is great for collaboration and coordination across all project stakeholders.

Pros:

Ability to link Revit models across multiple firms along with the ability to control permissions to data access.

Cons:

Performance related to viewing models in the web viewer can be combersome at time. The in ability for nested linked models to appear in sheet and model viewers is a major shortcoming.

Overall, while the software may have some limitations, it remains a powerful asset for construction project management, particularly for larger organizations or those with more complex project needs.

Lots of great features

4.0 last year

Pros:

Tons of features, quick to learn, easy to dive straight in. Makes juggling multiple projects more straightforward and manageable.

Cons:

It's always hard to bring new programs into this trade... glaziers like pen and paper, so a con is that this involves a computer and is overwhelming for those not used to computers. But that's going to be a problem with most programs in this trade, unfortunately.
