Pros:

Photopea is an amazing online Photoshop alternative. It's free and very easy to use.Its user interface is very beginner-friendly as all its features are distributed accurately.It works perfectly with project files from Sketch, Adobe XD, CorelDraw, Adobe Photoshop, GIMP, and Adobe Illustrator.It supports Layer Masking, layers, selection, paths, smart objects (SOs), Layer styles, Text Layers, Vector shapes, and FiltersIt's not different from the regular Photoshop or Sketch App, I usually work with (except with a few differences). This tool is free and just one Google search away.What I really like about this tool is the fact that I can work flexibly without signing up or purchasing any paid membership.I get to choose from a range of screen sizes to commence a project with and I can export my files in different formats just like in Photoshop.I can also choose to save the project as a . PSD file which I can easily deploy to other advanced versions of Photoshop. It's incredible and thank the developers for making such an amazing tool available to the public for absolutely free.

Cons:

Here's a little bug I've experienced with the tool. Sometimes exporting an image in PNG (with transparent background) doesn't work properly. It either distorts the image or exports it with a dark blur background.I experienced this like 3 to 5 times and after trying for the sixth time, It worked.Secondly, Photopea is still limited in advanced image editing.

Basically Photoshop but free

Comments: I used to use Photoshop until I found Photopea. The interface is nearly identical and allows me to remove backgrounds, edit images, etc. EXACTLY as I would in Photoshop. It offers the same tools so it was a no brainer to make the switch when I was already trained on Photoshop. After all, it's FREE!

Pros:

Photopea's interface is basically identical to Photoshop but it's FREE! How can you beat that? It's cloud-based so you can easily access it from anywhere without the need to download software.

Cons:

I do not have anything negative to say about Photopea. It's been an excellent alternative to Photoshop!

Used to love it now I hate it

Comments: I used to love photopea, but now I am looking elsewhere because now it just lock ups all the time and the ADS are annoying. I will be switching and finding another program.

Pros:

processing and converting PSD's for card designs

Cons:

always freezes up and locks my pc up and have to continuously reboot. Makes doing my job very difficult.

Pros:

Since Photopea is a free version, you can use it without any burden when using multiple devices such as computers or iPads.

Cons:

There is some inconvenience in using the service due to limited availability.

Comments: Great! turn to it everytime I have a design project.

Pros:

having familiarity with photoshop allows for a quick startup sharing simular GUI & tools. Being web-based allows me to edit from many locations.

Cons:

Saving and exporting can be quite cumbersome, once your design has many layers the browser takes up a lot of cpu, could be mostly a result of the hardware your system is running to gage its performance.

All you need in one place

Comments: I can't believe that it's actually free to use. No need to spends hundreds to get your business what it needs. Can't imagine using anything else.

Pros:

Photopea is something I can't go without on daily basis. Even though I can use more expensive softwares to do the same thing, I always come back to photopea. Easy, supports multiple formats, doesn't take any storage on any device. The best part is that I can use it on any laptop or computer without needing to pay and download on every device. All I need is to open my browser, get my files from cloud storage and I am working from anywhere.

Cons:

Nothing is perfect, and same applies to photopea. With some files, photopea struggles to open and view them properly. Happens rarely but enough so that I have to find different vectors and files etc.

Photopea - a quick and intuitive learning curve for excellent quality results

Comments: Really happy that I found it. I mainly use it for converting jpeg pictures into webp format for my website, but I am gradually working my way through a whole load of pictures of mine from the 1980's and upgrading them. So easy to do with Photopea.

Pros:

I LOVE that Photopea has a Chrome extension. My main use for it is converting jpeg's into webp format for my website.

Cons:

I have found nothing that I didn't like - Photopea ticks all the boxes for me.

Comments: It has been a very positive experience for us as a free software which we use regularly to make YouTube thumbnails and the templates already present help us a lot in saving our time

Pros:

Ability to do almost everything that photoshop has to offer for free, easy to use, online access, readymade templates for convenience

Cons:

The overall look of the software could be streamlined and made to look more appealing, there might be some instability issues occassionally

Photopea great alternative to Photoshop

Comments: For my use cases, it's pretty good. I limit myself to fixing backgrounds, resizing images and improving image tones.

Pros:

It's a free accessible online version of Photoshop

Cons:

It's unfortunately very slow. I believe they have changed their data loads to face cost of servers management. As a result only, premium customers get to have a fast service.

My go-to website when I do not have Photoshop

Pros:

When I had a low-end PC, I would use PhotoPea and it worked like a charm. It had all the needed feature and I would not miss Photoshop at all. Even with a higher end PC, I would use PhotoPea when I did not have access to Photoshop. So, PhotoPea is an amazing alternative to Photoshop which is lite and easy to use on the go.

Cons:

Sometimes, the website can be slow but with the features it gives, we can not complain. It is amazing and nothing really bad to say about it.

Comments: Overall, working with photopea has been a really good experience. I have used it for a good time now, and I don't find any other web-based editing tool so powerful.

Photopea is one of the best free image and graphic editing software. It is available on the web browser, and using it is very elementary. I did not like using much editing software and photopea turned out to be the best option. It has a simple UI, and you can do everything very easily on the platform. It offers multiple import/export models which can help you with multiple file types.

Cons:

Photopea is pretty good, but something that can be further improved is the number of ready-made templates and options for quick image editing. Moreover, the drag and drop UI can be enhanced a little as it lags sometimes while uploading large files.

Another alternative to Adobe Photoshop!

Comments: The app is basically Photoshop but free, if you want or love editing images or maybe making a skin in a game but don't have the money to pay for Photoshop, this is the perfect app for you, you just need to open the internet and type Photopea on the search bar, it will pop out at the top of the search result, now, there is some difference in how this app work, especially the keybind, but you will get used to it eventually, one thing that I hope Photopea has is that the function of "middle arrangement" and range counter, when you can put a set of pictures at a certain distance in which Photoshop will tell you the range of between picture, making your design look neatly organized

Pros:

It's free, yes there are some ads on the border of the window, but that is enough price to pay to use this app, it also supports saving in DDS, which I really appreciate when making game skin, it also has other save options like JPEG and PNG.

Cons:

You need to be online to use it, and it's quite tricky to use if you are already too used to Photoshop

Best free photo editing software

Comments: It has been an overall good experience. It looked visually pleasing, easy to use and fast. I would recommend this to anybody who does requires a fast and easy way to edit his/her photos without the complexity that larger and slower editing software would require.

Pros:

If you are looking for a light software for that does most of your major photo editing work for free then Photopea is what I would recommend. Now the thing that I like the most about is the fact that there is an online version of it. So if you are on the go, you could edit without having a computer on your person. I like that it is fast and simple. If you have used any photo editing software before it would probably be very easy to pick up photopea. I would recommend this software if your needs are like mine which are basically minimal photo editing.

Cons:

I did not see anything that I would consider a con. but for a photo editing software to be that fast, I suspect it would probably lack certain features and functionalities that perhaps professional editors would want, so you might want to check first if it has what you need. because of the trade-off between size/speed & features/functionalities. However it is not an issue because I am not a professional editor. If I were to use it I would simply use it for my own gain. Other than that I don't suspect anything else.

Best Free ImageEditing Software Out There

Comments: I really recommend Photopea for photo editing.

Pros:

Photopea is just like Photoshop as it gets all my image editing tasks done. I use it for only minor jobs, such as background removal, adjusting image size and brightness, for example. I wouldn't consider myself an expert at photo editing, but Photopea has all the features needed to do an amazing job. I think more people should know about it!

Cons:

It does everything I need to do perfectly but there is a learning curve involved if you've never used a tool like this before. I consult Youtube if I have any problems!

Undoubtedly a very complete site to edit images at the level of other professional software

This online editor impressed me, it is very complete, it has the necessary and complete options to make the professional editing space, options such as liquefying, layered work, even filters and smart selection options, I like it because it is online and it is an alternative incredible to use it anywhere with an internet connection without having to install it, and the best thing is the diversity of formats that it accepts such as psd, Ai among others I am really impressed with the quality of the interface that this program has and how easy and intuitive it is to use.

Great Free Alternative to Photoshop

Pros:

Similar layout to photoshop, accessibility via the internet without downloading software, ability to edit both still and moving photos.

Cons:

The lack of a guide for beginners and the software can be a bit laggy when exporting certain projects.

What I love most about Photopea is it is essentially a free, web based photoshop software. I like the functionality and ease of using Photopea for anything I could do in other photo editing softwares. It is simple to use, easy to navigate and a multitude of photo editing options.

Cons:

Not too many font or brush options (possibly able to import your own) and sometimes it lags a tad but other than that, I have had no issue using this software.

Photoshop wasn't working - went to the web

Comments: When I bought my new macbook pro and attempted to transfer my copy of photoshop to it from my old mac it just did not function properly. I then had my old mac that has been working like a champ still, slow but still working and it was doing fine. Just a few days ago it just would not boot up and I had to do an important graphic work for my website and I thought I was doomed. I went on line and looked up free photoshop options and found photopea and man it might as well be Photoshop - very awesome indeed - I got my work done and have had other projects come up and I believe I found my replacement

This might as well be Photoshop but online. I don't use photoshop for expert level graphic design but simple promotional items for events and things for my website and I was able to do the same thing I was able to on Photopea than I was able to do on Photoshop

Cons:

When I open up an image and I save or export it just saves with the name I initially opened up versus allowing me to do a true save as...

Great Solution for Small Business Owner

When I found this software I left all other expensive design softwares. It has everything you need.

Some ads in free version are little distracting, but for free version this is completely OK.

Some pros would be that it is browser based and there's no need of downloading additional software, also it have a lot of features.

Cons:

Well it could be improved, like making EPS files load faster when uploading, a proper trace bitmap tool and some improvements in making it mobile friendly.

The price! It does everything that you need a professional photo editing software to do but doesn’t cost as much. I use it for my hobby (scrapbooking) so I want the functionality without having to pay too much.

Cons:

I am a beginner so it still takes me time to get the desired results. It is easier than other programs that I have used. Would be nice to have more tutorials on the basics.
