Reviews of WooCommerce

Good product but more free features needed
Comments: It's done the job but hopefully a better competitor arrives on the scene which will include more features for a fraction of the price (price includes for features not included for free).
Pros:
The integration with Wordpress which is what we use for CMS. It's quite simple once setup, and allows a smooth customer journey from entering the store to purchasing.
Cons:
The issues from updates; always have to backup (good procedure anyway) as well as the security bloatware required in order to setup/use WooCommerce.
Alternatives Considered:
I love WooCommerce!
Comments: I love using WooCommerce. It's the best store platform I've used for a long time. It's easy to customise it for what I need and integrates with a lot of other platforms and payment providers to make selling easy. There's a lot of plugin options that range from free to paid to cover what you want to offer all in one place. The app also makes it easy to track sales and update customers on dispatch and posting details etc. Overall I'd 100% recommend WooCommerce.
Pros:
Love how easy it is to set up and how many different plugins you can get to customise it exactly how you need it.
Cons:
There is a bit of a learning curve but there are also plenty of how to walkthroughs online to make using it easier.

Alternatives Considered:
Easy to start, hard to optimise
Pros:
Is the 2nd fastest tool to create an ecommerce in less than 1 hour. You are in control of your checkout process and your money, and you are not forced to pay fees on every sell
Cons:
You need to pay a lot of plugins or have your coders in order to optimise everything. There is a lot of things you cannot do without coding
WooCommerce Review
Comments: Great overall experience using Woocommerce, the choice of integration plugin is impressive and the SEO features were easy to implement. there are various ways to set up tracking and Shopping feed for our products etc
Pros:
Very easy setup and management, very customiseable and has a lot of integration features and plugins. we love the full control of the data
Cons:
the only con i can think of was the support available
WooCommerce to sell
Pros:
WooCommerce is the best way to transform your WordPress website into a powerful online shop. Setting up the plugin is easy and straightforward. Items management is easy and intuitive. The most important thing at WooCommerce is the compatibility with all wordpress plugins. Increase security, increase website loading speed and the most important SEO.
Cons:
A good webhosting (usually more expensive) is needed for a fluid experience.
Good if you have wordpress and time to fine tuning
Comments: The overall experience is good, we managed to do a really good looking store with top features at a really low cost and full customizable
Pros:
Is really easy to install, integrate really well with wordpress and lot of plugins available
Cons:
It could get slow as wordpress is heavy and this add more load, but if you are smart doing layers of caching you should be ok
Alternatives Considered:
Best open source platform with over 60,000 plugins
Comments: It is far easier to use out of the box while still allowing control and customization than any other platform.
Pros:
Legible code, easy to understand and customize
Cons:
Frequent updates forcing constant development of customized code to ensure compatibility. To be fair, this is largely due to outside influences like hackers and cyber crooks targeting wordpress as a whole.
Alternatives Considered:
An "easy and free" ecommerce solution
Comments: Generally positive, except in complex projects which require an ecommerce CMS instead of just a plug-in
Pros:
Its a fast and free solution to launch an ecommerce, it has a great community and a lot of 3rd party integrations. It is based on Wordpress so should not have a great learning phase.
Cons:
Like any module based system, some basic functionalities require a 3rd party module, and it can be expensive if the project has several requirements. Also, if you need to fully customize your store, this might not be your best option.
Alternatives Considered:
Freemium ecommerce that racks up quickly.
Comments: For simple ecommerce setups, WooCommerce is smooth and easy to use. Again, if you have any sort of custom (even conventional) shipping, coupons, or store setups, you're stuck paying for extras that add up pretty quickly.
Pros:
For the most basic of ecommerce setups, you can't beat free for Woocommerce. It's made by the same people that make WordPress, so it integrates very smoothly.
Cons:
If you want to do anything of any complexity at all, you're stuck either writing a bunch of code yourself or paying yearly fees on their plugins.
Alternatives Considered:
Good if You are Using Wordpress
Pros:
If your focus is on Blogging and content creation using Word Press, WooCom is a great option, but I was not and have since moved to Shopify.
Cons:
It wasn't easy enough for me and using it on WordPress, I didn't want to have to rely on a developer, so I moved to Shopify for something I could do myself.
Alternatives Considered:
Woocommerce gets the job done, cheap! (unless you need a lot of addons)
Comments: We've used woocommerce for years to manage our inventory and sell our goods, merch, and services. It's been very helpful, particularly for anything we need to ship.
Pros:
Woocommerce is enterprise grade software that is free/cheap. You can get started for free and buy the official addons for a relatively low price if you need them. If you have a developer like we do, you can extend the functionality for no extra cost. It gets the job done nicely.
Cons:
Could have more out-of-the-box functionality.
Alternatives Considered:
The most flexible ecommerce platform around
Comments: I'm a big fan of WooCommerce and use it for a number of client ecommerce stores.
Pros:
WooCommerce is open source and built on top of Wordpress, so it is the easiest and most cost-effective way to add ecommerce to a Wordpress website. It is also incredibly flexible, with a huge number of plugins and code snippets that can extend and alter its fuctionality.
Cons:
The user interface is a little dated compared to the likes of Shopify. It is still pretty simple to use, but it's interface does not feel as modern or look as clean as Shopify's platform.
Alternatives Considered:
Turn your Wordpress sites into stores with WooCommerce!
Comments: I used WooCommerce to set up my second e-commerce store. (https://www.fawnandmoose.com) The first one was done using Shopify which took a similar amount of time but was very frustrating. Woo worked great. A few days later, our website became a fully functioning store! We've since added a store to Instagram and Facebook connected to our site.
Pros:
The tutorials and support make setting up your e-commerce store relatively easy. But don't just SKIP over the details. Take time. Read carefully and follow the steps exactly.
Cons:
It can be complicated due to all that it does. You need to read instructions carefully and follow the steps exactly to avoid getting lost.

Woo Is E-commerce At Its Finest
Comments: My overall experience was wonderful, except for the price changes. If it wasn't for the price changes I would still be with them today. I'm actually considering going back because it's such a good platform I'd recommend it to everybody.
Pros:
It's amazing how it's an all in one app. There is nothing u can't find on Woo! It was my initial platform, and I am considering going back
Cons:
Price changed too many times and made it hard to keep up with.
Alternatives Considered:
Affordable ecommerce platform
Comments: Overall it's good. There are quite a few compromises (ease of use, inventory tracking) but if you need to run an ecommerce store on a small budget, this is a great option.
Pros:
It's a great entry point platform, given its open source and free to start using.
Cons:
The user interface can be improved and made easier to use. Given the free nature of the app, it's also likely to attract small solo business users who may not be tech savvy, so it could do with more work on the UI front. Secondly, for an ecommerce tool, it should really have better inventory management features built in.
WooCommerce for commerce
Comments: Overall WooCommerce is a powerful plugin that you can integrate with WordPress and other plugins to create a powerful and well optimized shop.
Pros:
The most powerful feature of WooCommerce is its integration with WordPress. Creating a theme with a page WordPress builder or just buying one is easy and save you a lot of time. WordPress plugins for SEO, speed optimization and security help creating a powerful website where you can sell products and services.
Cons:
With multiple items you webhosting needs to be powerful.

Avant-garde soul and design
Comments: Although it required patience and effort during the initial implementation, I was able to implement very advanced functionality for my store in a short time. In addition, its performance and security have allowed me to gradually scale sales. The community around this platform is very active and we find quick solutions to any problem with the documentation or discussion forums. I would definitely recommend WooCommerce to any entrepreneur for its power and flexibility
Pros:
What I liked most about WooCommerce was its great flexibility and customization capacity. Thanks to its architecture based on plugins, themes and extensions, I was able to configure exactly the online store I needed for my business. I had the opportunity to test various payment methods, shipping logistics, theme designs, among other optimizations. In addition, its native integration with WordPress allowed me to take full advantage of the CMS's functionalities to create content and manage my store in a very intuitive way
Cons:
What I liked least about WooCommerce was that since it is an open source platform, the learning curve is somewhat longer than other e-commerce solutions. It required spending extra time at the beginning to familiarize myself with all of its configuration parameters, database tables, and templating system. I also missed a larger library of natively available themes, although I realized that this is offset by the flexibility to create custom layouts
Create your own store with Woocommerce
Comments: I enjoyed using Woo commerce and creating my store. However, the price just got to be too much each month and I wasn’t making enough sales.
Pros:
I really enjoyed the software because you were able to create your own store with the product you want to sell. WooCommerce makes it easy to build a personal store on their platform using their tools.
Cons:
I did not like the monthly price so I had to shut down my store.
I recommend WooCommerce for you if you want a professional online store
Comments: WooCommerce is a widely used and popular e-commerce plugin for WordPress. Many users appreciate its flexibility, extensive customization options, and large community support. It offers a range of features for online store management, from product listings to payment processing.
Pros:
WooCommerce is a user-friendly e-commerce platform that allows you to create and customize online stores. It offers a lot of themes and plugins, making it simple for both beginners and experienced users to build professional-looking websites.
Cons:
WooCommerce offers flexibility but can be complex for some beginners. It depends on WordPress, has performance concerns with heavy customization, and requires paid extensions for advanced features.
Quite good software for basic shops
Comments: As a developer, I created many shops for my clients. It is a good software for basic ecommerce needs. There are many free plugins for it, but often there is a need to buy additional subscription plugins. So it appears that it is free, but in reality it is not. So you are left with writing extensions by yourself or keep paying for extentions.
Pros:
- Basic functionality is free - Enough for most ecommerce needs - Easy to set up - Quite good documentation
Cons:
- For more advanced functions you need a lot of paid plugins - Seems a litle bit bloated
Such a time saver
Pros:
It saves us a lot of time with our inventory management as it gives you low stock alerts in real time. It also enables our customers to track their entire order with the integrations.
Cons:
I can honestly say I don't think there is anything I do not like about it.

Excellent WordPress-based eCommerce Solution
Pros:
If you have a WordPress site and wish to conduct eCommerce sales, WooCommerce offers an excellent and expandable platform. I have found it to have the flexibility to match my clients' various needs.
Cons:
Some of the plugins have conflicts which can break certain website features.
Woocommerce one step solution for wordpress ecommerce setup.
Comments: It has made my work really easy by providing with the customizable feature to set online business sites and its third party integrations are also very helpful.
Pros:
Its ease of use is the most important factor. It also makes SEO easy to optimize products.
Cons:
It can be only used with wordpress and it is the feature i would love to use in other platforms too.
Review of WooCommerce
Pros:
Comprehensive Features: WooCommerce provides a robust set of features out of the box. From product management and inventory tracking to payment processing and shipping options, it covers all essential aspects of running an online store. The additional extensions available further enhance its capabilities.
Cons:
Complex Setup for Advanced Features: While basic setup is straightforward, configuring advanced features and integrations can be complex. For users without technical expertise, this might necessitate hiring a developer or investing time in learning the intricacies of the platform.

Highly recommended!
Comments: The customer service and helps boards WooCommerce offers to customers are excellent! There has been quite a few times I’ve needed assistance due to unique setups and every time they have provided a solution and a speedy response.
Pros:
From start to finish, WooCommerce really does have it all. Right from the moment you install. And no matter how awkward your own business setup may be, WooCommerce always has a way to accompany it.
Cons:
To be honest other than the app, it’s hard to fault WooCommerce. If you are building a Wordpress website, WooCommerce is definitely the choice to go with. But again, the mobile app needs work.
