> **Pros**: While working as a direct support professional in a men's group home, one of the benefits our company offered was an abundance of continued education in our ever-changing field. &#10;&#10;Relias Learning uses a straight forward approach in teaching \&amp; doesn't flood your mind with unnecessary knowledge that is most likely instilled in us from birth. &#10;&#10;I loved being able to renew required certificates, while on the couch with my family in the evenings.&#10;&#10;The Oregon Adminstrative Rules are constantly updating \&amp; making changes to their regulations \&amp; requirements. When you work with individuals with intellectual disabilities, or anyone part of a vulnerable community .. It's crucial that we are in compliance at all times.  &#10;&#10;Relias Learning is a program that allows you to work at your own pace. Your employer sets the deadlines for completing whatever courses you've been assigned. The website is simple to navigate \&amp; does all the communicating with the employee, in terms of whether or not you met the learning deadlines. Hopefully you are informed in advance about the amount of time you have to meet the requirements. A few of my coworkers over the past few years were temporarily suspended until they completed the modules, re-certified or whatever the case happened to be\!\!

> **Cons**: Its required to watch videos on some of the modules. You aren't allowed to skip any of them without 100% completion of the video.&#10;&#10;At the end of some lesson you will answer several multiple-choice questions. If you have not paid attention to the video, then you will have no idea how to answer these questions. Some of the instructors speak ridiculously slow \&amp; don't seem to be enjoying the process. There's often no inflection in their voice which can be somewhat annoying \&amp; I have been know to lose interest faster then I should.

> Overall I have been happy with Relias. It's does a great job doing exactly what it's intended to do. My dad use to say "if you aren't learning, you're loitering. Learn something every single day." Relias actually helped me learn a "lot of something's" countless times. So my dad would likely approve too if her were still here\!\!

> **Pros**: I loved that when the next courses came out i could complete them at my own pace. I loved how detailed the scenario videos were and if i got a wrong answer i was able to go back and take it over. Everything about it applied to my workdays and was helpful retraining things i may not have ti utilize on a daily basis but need to know. I loved that it showed me certificates after passing each course on it and made me feel like i accomplished something wuth havibg a certificate.

> I utilize relias at work and its fantastic it refreshes my mind on very important topics and procedures that i need to be trained on but may not utilize very often or even at all. It shows videos that are very easy to follow and detailed enough that you wont forget. It issues a certificate once you pass the training making it easy to know how long its been to schedule my recertification on that subject. Also allows me to keep track of all my training which looks great on a resume.

> **Pros**: It's nice that the catalog has content for our ABA employees as well as the DD/ID employees. I'm not fond of the rotating door of Account Managers.

> **Cons**: I'm a 20 year veteran in the L\&amp;D space and have worked with countless LMS in that time. Relias' contract renewal practices are the worst in the business. 60 day cancellation notifications seems acceptable, but if you miss it, you're locked in for the term of your contract. 3 year contract? then you're renewed for  3 years, automatically. &#10;&#10;Secondly, make sure you update your contact names officially with the account. Whether or not you're in communication with them (even as far as renewing a contract with them), because the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Unfortunately, their mismanagement of our account and their business practices, negatively impacted our users. Not an "We apologize", but a "you should have formally notified us" &#10;&#10;If you can find another software to meet your needs, I would encourage you to look elsewhere. Relias has outdated and predatory practices that are not user friendly, and always end up serving Relias, rather than the customer.

When approaching our Account Manager, it was another new account manager, who indicated that it was our fault, that they were reaching out to two former \[sensitive content hidden\], over a 5 month period, when I (still employed) at the organization had negotiated the recent contract renewal with our "then" account manager and renewal specialist.

> **Pros**: Having a built-in compliance team by state is a great benefit, but ONLY if the courses they provide are accurate.

> **Cons**: The reporting, inflexibility, and dated content. Users have taken the same courses so many times that they no longer pay attention.

> Our company has had Relias for years and after many conversations around it, we moved to Absorb LMS. That platform meets our needs a lot better.
