Reviews of Wix

Your best bet on web creation
Comments: My first experience with wix was when I wanted to start a travel blog. It went so well. It is the nicest blog I have ever had. Lovely stock photos, smooth text edit and easy design. After that, I started a few websites and along the way I learned more and more about wix.
Pros:
Wix gives everybody a chance. Whether you are planning to market your products or design a website, Wix make it quite easy and enjoyable.
Cons:
I really enjoy wix. It took me a few minutes to learn how creating a blog works on wix but after that it was all a smooth ride.
Give [sensitive content hidden] A Raise!
Comments: Overall it's been good. Confusing and tedious at times, but good. I'm so grateful for the human customer support agents that help me tackle the really weird technical issues that I can run into (like SSL certificates suddenly ceasing to work correctly).
Pros:
How fast I can get a page up. I came to WIX because BlueHost had a massive server crash a number of years ago and I lost my site right before I was supposed to have a big online art sale. Since I hosted my domain name elsewhere I was able to point it at a rapidly built WIX site and was able to continue with those plans.
Cons:
Honestly, the lack of a fluid design options in it's WYSIWYG editor. The websites often look rather weird being just a vertical strip in the middle of a large screen.
Not affordable
Comments: This site was easy to navigate and set up my website. Beautiful templates, and stock photos. The first years cost was reasonable, but after that the price almost tripled. Could not afford the 400.00 plus dollars they wanted to charge so I had to take down my website.
Pros:
Easy to navigate, beautiful templates, and stock photos.
Cons:
How they almost tripled the yearly price after the first year.
My experience with Wix
Comments: My overall experience with Wix has been quite positive. It’s very user-friendly with an intuitive drag-and-drop editor, making design easy even for beginners. The wide selection of templates keeps the site looking modern and professional, and there’s a good range of apps for added features. However, the limited export options and occasional loading delays are small drawbacks. Overall, it’s a strong choice for creating a polished site quickly and with minimal hassle.
Pros:
I love its drag-and-drop Visual Editor, which allows you to customize any element of the site. It's ideal for beginners. It has a wide variety of modern, fully customizable templates for every industry. They're very diverse, so your site will always look professional and appealing. Additionally, you can build a personalized website with AI based on what you request.
Cons:
What I don’t like about Wix is that it doesn’t allow exporting the full site content, which means starting from scratch if you want to migrate. Some apps require additional payments, which increases the total cost of the site. Sometimes, sites created on Wix can be a bit slow to load, especially if they have many visual elements, apps, etc.
Awesome and Easy Website Builder!
Comments: Using Wix has been great! It’s super easy to figure out, even if you have no tech experience. I was able to create a professional-looking website way faster than I expected, and customizing it to fit my style was a breeze. The tools they provide—like SEO and email marketing—are awesome for helping you grow without needing to look for outside services. Overall, it’s a one-stop shop that just works.
Pros:
Wix is honestly awesome. Super easy to use, even if you’ve never built a website before. The drag-and-drop setup makes it so simple to customize everything exactly how you want it. There are tons of great templates to choose from, so whether you’re starting a blog, an online store, or whatever, they’ve got you covered. I also love how they include extras like SEO tools and email marketing stuff—it’s all in one place, which makes life easier.
Cons:
If I had to nitpick, I’d say it’s not the cheapest option out there, especially if you need all the bells and whistles. Also, while most of their templates look great on mobile, a few of them need some extra tweaking to get everything looking right on smaller screens. And if you’re someone who really wants to mess with code and backend stuff, Wix might feel a little limiting compared to platforms like WordPress.

Wix-A Great Choice to Design, Create and Manage Your Website
Comments: Overall, Wix renders a professional site and also offers the ability to manage the traffic to your site with additional features and products. It is great to have all of this available in one place.
Pros:
Website creation is made easy with the use of a plethora of templates. Finished product looks professional and ranks better than other websites not made through Wix. I also appreciate that there are friendly, knowledgeable people to help if needed too.
Cons:
I really have not had an issue with Wix and have maintained my site for 4 years.
Powerful website platform
Comments: Powerful website platform that has improved and developed as web standard have evolved
Pros:
Comprehensive website builder with extensive addons for all business uses
Cons:
Haven’t found any issues in the past 6 years of working with the platform. If features are missing they are proactive to address
A Powerhouse Solution for Website Building.
Comments: I use Wix templates to create websites easily and quickly.
Pros:
It is simple to use Wix because it has an intuitive and user-friendly interface. It is simple to design and build responsive and modern websites with Wix. Wix has a drag-and-drop interface thus I can easily preview and edit website before launching. I can easily create blogs with Wix. Finally, Wix pricing is affordable.
Cons:
I haven't encountered any challenges when building websites with Wix.
Variety with Wix
Pros:
We get more bang for your buck within using wix. From invoices to email marketing to creating a social media post they offer a lot within their platform.
Cons:
I'm not a fan with how when you receive payments they have to outsource it through stripe.

Forget therapy - Wix is the solution to all your problems
Comments: If Wix were made of bacon, Ron Swanson would fully devour it with only compliments.
Pros:
Wix has so many features and anyone with any level of technological ability can create a professional looking website. You've never used a computer before? No worries, Wix has beautiful templates for you to use. You've created multiple websites before? Wix has got a dev mode for you to import your own settings. On top of that, Wix's AI chatbot is extremely helpful, and even if there's something it can't help you with, it's customer service reps respond very quickly and make sure they resolve your issue.
Cons:
That fact that not enough people use it. This site-creator could end all war by bringing users peace and ease when creating websites.
Alternatives Considered:
Wix is your best friend for anyone who is looking to start website building!
Comments: Wix is a decent program for people who are new to building websites. They have attractive components and it is incredibly easy to use this platform. Customization was lacking, which was the reason we ended up abandoning this in favor of another platform.
Pros:
Wix is a straightforward user-friendly platform. Making websites is a breeze when using Wix. Perfect for someone who is new to website building.
Cons:
You don't have a lot of bandwidth to host things on Wix. Its application is rudimentary, and its overall variety is lacking.

Great for small business
Comments: I am a small business owner with a 15 year IT background. I no longer wanted to perform IT duties and wanted a website platform for my business that wouldn’t consume significant time to maintain and manage content. It ended up taking me almost 6 months of web development to launch my site due to Wix’s unavailable mass import for products (they have the feature now and it’s great). I had to do a lot of custom coding on the backend to make my website function for my particular product set because of limited tools and resources at the time. While Wix has been a fairly stable platform that requires little upkeep, the developers do often make changes that affect the websites function without any prior warning or documentation on resolution. For a while, I had to check my website functionality daily, just to make sure they hadn’t made changes that prevented website users from searching for and purchasing my custom goods. The past couple of years (2023-2024) have been somewhat better in terms of changes that significantly impact the website’s function. Overall, I am happy with the platform, but if I hadn’t been an IT professional, Wix (or any other platform) would not have worked for my particular product set. If you have products with few product options, Wix would be great. My unique products often have 100’s of different configurations for a single product with well over 3 million product SKU’s. These simple, easy to use, website hosting platforms are not designed to support this type of product set, but I refused to go back into IT just for my website and knew that in the long run, it was best to have a hosted solution, like Wix.
Pros:
The point and click editor was an initial draw to Wix. Wix was also the only platform that would allow me to have the custom product options that my products require.
Cons:
The developers constantly change things without providing any documentation and frequently kill features that destroy your websites useability, design, and layout. Support (although 24x7 priority support) is virtually nonexistent. They answer the phone, but I don’t think they have ever actually resolved anything.
Wix is AMAZING for Small Businesses
Comments: Overall, I adore Wix because I have been able t create beautiful websites with the functionality I need for my Destination Wedding Brides. I use these as a hub for all their guests to go to get information and book their rooms. I also feel like the templates are AMAZING. However, the adjusting of certain sections and formatting can be a little less intuitive on the more developed templates.
Pros:
I love that Wix has the ability to copy entire sites, as well as entire pages that I can paste onto my other websites. I'm frequently creating similar sites so this has become extremely helpful in streamlining the process.
Cons:
I did not like that at one point for one of my premium sites, I had to update the credit card to even cancel the renewing. Also I feel like that premium site cancelling process is a little confusing.
Alternatives Considered:
what Wix is!
Comments:
I'll start by talking about the speed of creating your website, it's one of the most celebrated features and advantages by its hundreds of thousands of users. Without exaggeration, in about an hour (or even less) you can develop and set all the content you want to include on your new website.
The platform itself is quite intuitive, adaptable and accessible to any type of user
Pros:
With Wix you can project your business, brand or venture in an easy, fun and fast way. The best of all,you don't need to know anything about programming. The best thing is that the templates of this platform are adaptable to cell phones and other mobile devices as well, meaning that it will be super comfortable for any visitor to view your page, no matter where they are accessing it from. So if what you are thinking about is finally venturing into the digital space, which is full of endless opportunities for your business, Wix is clearly a very good alternative. Take advantage of all the potential that you have access to if you decide to display your products or services on your website created in Wix. With Wix you have the freedom to create a very attractive website. Add the images and videos you want.
Cons:
the pricing if you want to upgrade to a paid plan and it's almost impossible to tranfert any database to another sofware
Anticipating Wix’s Effectiveness in Supporting the Organisation's Compliance
Comments: Using Wix brings unexpected efficiency in handling regulatory documents and policies. Its easy-to-use interface makes it simple to update and share compliance information across different university departments. Plus, Wix's strong accessibility features help the university easily meet digital compliance standards.
Pros:
The platform’s easy drag-and-drop interface allows for quick creation and updates of web pages related to compliance, shortening the time it takes to communicate policy changes to the university community. Wix’s SEO tools also help make sure important compliance information is easy to find for students, staff, and external auditors.
Cons:
While Wix provides basic security features, a university handling sensitive compliance data might find them lacking for stricter regulations, requiring extra security measures.
WIX review
Comments: Wix is a web designer that some say is not difficult to utilize and has an incredible by and large experience. It has an intuitive proofreader, a huge choice of layouts, and an easy to understand interface that can assist novices with following Website optimization best practices. Wix likewise offers a free arrangement for testing out the stage.
Pros:
A simplified manager which awards you all out inventive control and the capacity to plan a site regardless of your expertise level. 900+ expertly planned layouts for a different scope of enterprises and site needs, including on the web stores and web journals.
Cons:
Wix offers an immense variety of highlights and instruments to help you get and become on the web, yet it tends to be a ton to truly understand, particularly in the event that you're a fledgling to site building. Limitless extra room is just accessible on Wix's most costly arrangement.

What is the Wix website?
Comments: My experience was in creating a logo. It was easy. I had problems with the image sizes and the design. It was also easy for me to work with. I no longer needed programs like Photoshop and other complex programs and programming.
Pros:
The site is great for creating a logo and appropriate sizes with social networking sites with ease and without effort You can also create a website or online store in half an hour, and you can modify it without the need for a programmer or software developer
Cons:
The difficult thing about it is that when you create an online store, it is difficult to integrate the payment system into it. It is somewhat complicated to integrate the payment system or receive money.
Alternatives Considered:
Great for beginners
Comments: It was great for my particular use-case, which was designing a website from scratch quickly and highly customize what's on it.
Pros:
It's very easy to get started and design a simple website. It's perfect for beginners.
Cons:
A lot of advanced features (advanced animations, menus, navigation) is missing.

Love the Product
Comments: Great. I enjoy the ability to keep all my email marketing, website, and blog in one place.
Pros:
The ability to use templates and to have all my website and search engine things in one place. I like that I can create blogs and post there as well.
Cons:
They changed their ability to have Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram as a part of the standard service and now require another upgrade to have all three to use my social media platform.

Customer Support saves the day...
Pros:
I loved the person who helped me in the customer support. I was assigned [sensitive content hidden] as my support person, and they were FABULOUS. I had a fairly complicated issue and they helped me trouble shoot it for over an hour. I was on the support line with Legal zoom (the cause of the original issue), and [sensitive content hidden] helped me find a work around because the legal zoom people were no help. I like Wix overall too, but my reasoning for leaving this review was solely because of the support I received from [sensitive content hidden], THANK YOU [sensitive content hidden]!!! The 8/10 for recommending to a colleague was solely bc there isn't a help number to be found.
Cons:
I hate that there is no support line to call directly, but a chat bot that I have to go to & be redirected thru chat forum not a live person on a phone call. It was insanely frustrating until I found the lovely [sensitive content hidden] to help me.
Why I think you should give WIX Website Builder a try.
Comments: My overall experience with WIX has been excellent. I've had a few issues over the years but the support has helped work things out. Once WIX figures out a way to have the support easier to reach, then I will give it a 10 out of 10 score.
Pros:
I have been using WIX Website Builder for years and I am very familiar with how it works. It's user friendly and there's plenty of search options to find what you are looking for or to get steps on how to do something. It has tons of options and stays current with the latest trends.
Cons:
The only issue I have found with Wix is the amount of time it takes to get to talk to a person. There's too many questions even though I understand they are trying to narrow down the problem so the customer can fix it themselves but at times, the customer may just need to talk to someone for help. This can increase stress and anxiety when there's already a problem that the customer is having and to keep pushing questions on them, Well, this will raise the frustrations.

Easy way to create a professional and beautiful website
Comments: I have been using Wix for almost 10 years, for several websites, always my experience has been good, the process to create and mantain the website is very smooth.
Pros:
Is easy to use, efficient... you can create easily an quick a new website. Additionally it has a lot of integration with plug-ins and tools.
Cons:
I think its strenght is not in e-commerce, i think they could more capabilities for e-commerce (i.e. shoppify is the king in e-commerce). Also WIX is not the cheapest, but I think Wix have a lot of advantages.

Comments: Overall I am very happy wit Wix and its versatility. Great product for any level user!
Pros:
Ease of use, design options are versatile and they offer many different designs, easy to edit and incorporate other elements such as linking programs like DonorPerfect for inquiry forms or direct donations.
Cons:
Not being able to completely redesign your current website with a theme selection once you have already chosen a theme.

The last hosting site you'll need
Comments: I had another platform for my website but it was old and out of date. It was also really limited to updating pages and almost no other apps could integrate with it it.
Pros:
It's so easy to customize, especially if you don't have a big design background and get overwhelmed with techy stuff
Cons:
The only thing I don't like about wix is the lack of ability to display the checkout options. I've seen pages where the full checkout process is on the same screen as the product which isnt the case with wix. Other than that i love it
Love Wix!!!
Comments: Smooth overall experience, I’m happy for stumbling upon such a great platform.
Pros:
It’s usability is great and I appreciate that since I’m no tech pro!
Cons:
There is some learning curve to understanding the system, but once I got it, I got it.
