Convenient and easy to use

Comments: I use it as often as I possibly can. It simplifies the process. It speeds up the process. It costs me less to do it this way because I don't have to pay someone to drive somewhere to pull a permit in person.

Pros:

I like the convenience of being able to apply and pay for a permit from my desk . I wish that more cities would use this service. It's very simple to use.

Cons:

The limits that many of the cities put on the ability to use the service. I wish that the e-permit page was all encompassing and not for a few specific jobs. Each city determines how extensive their e-permits page is going to be so it ends up being very limited. For example we are plumbers and what we've found is often times the only e-permit available for a city is for doing a water heater. If I needed to pull a permit for anything else I'd still need to do it the old fashioned way.

As System Admin I have come to terms with the system, excellent for our requirements

Comments: Gave a platform to consolidate and monitor contractor entry and work within our PwC buildings, leading to greater transparency of potential clashes not only with works taking place in the same areas but also with regard to client & PwC events taking place within buildings. Having an easily audited system is crucial to PwC HSE team and this is also provided - where teams would previously have to attend site and dig through physical copies of permits all are able to be accessed online.

Pros:

The ease of interface and the common sense approach to where data is stored in the data admin area. Also the RAMS & Permit applications are very straightforward and easy to impart knowledge on new users, both from the contractor side and in training other system admins.

Cons:

The interaction between Hot Works permits and Isolations has required considerable thought, as there doesn't seem to be a straightforward way for approvers to add these permits in, and contractors get confused between the requirements of both. Other than that everything seems to be quite well managed.

Impressed with the versatility of the system although customer support could be improved.

Comments: Easier permit management

Pros:

Once trained its easy to use. All permits in one place and easily accessible. Report function extremely useful.

Cons:

Once set up the system appears to be pretty inflexible. Alterations and minor amendments are often at an additional cost. Not all functions work as smoothly as they should.

E-permit reduced the time required to authorise works in every aspect

Pros:

It is simple to use and by having all information in one place, it allows for easy review of the necessary paperwork to ensure compliance with all procedures. The ability to allow all contractors to apply for their own permits dramtically reduced the admin required by my team providing an increase in productivity

Cons:

Having to access the system via a PC sometime proved difficult. Having a phone app would be very useful

The Best Way to Control Contractors that I've Ever Seen

Pros:

Logical, easy to use and covers all aspects of Contractor Control. Places the onus on the Contractor to supply the necessary detail, but also on the controllers to review and approve in a timely manner. The software can flex to suit any application or Client requirements.

Cons:

Not much not to like, just wish more customers had this system and it was in wider use across the industry.
