Comments: We use this product daily and outside of the report section this product is very good.

Pros:

Easy to use. Great accounting software.

Cons:

Reports are not what the desk tops had. Really need to work on that.

Former Dispatcher who Implemented the Progam

Comments: love love love this software

Pros:

love love loved this software. The only thing bad I ever had to say about this program is that i hated the way you had to do the logs on this system it reminded me of the golden days with jj keller. However the stand alone version use to have a Safety and COmpliance feature on it for when the DOt first started to crackdown on Safety issues. It was absolutely wonderful. However the Online version did not come with this feature. There is a brokers module that comes with the brogram as well in both versions but you have to be under the fleet programs to get it if still available. The only thing bad I could ever say about it is that use to the Qinks that needed to be worked out when the product was new you could rarely get anyone on the phone. I have used both versions of this program. I now own my own fleet and brokerage and I am seriously considering getting it over the new TMS systems. The only this it doesnt have that they do is lead contacts....... I know they got bought ourt a few years ago and i actually spoke to the new [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and he was very nice. I have 20 years exp with it.

Cons:

This software does not contain everything required to manage your Company! Highway use tax, Which they call "Road Tax" in this program, reporting is not possible using this software! The company only has 1 programmer, and the owner does not offer refunds! DON'T WAST YOUR MONEY OR TIME!

"Trucker's Helper" in deed!

Comments: I started my trucking company in 2010 as a one truck owner operator with my own authority. I evaluated different trucking/accounting programs and decided to try Trucker's Helper and am I ever glad I did. Trucker's Helper is an all in one trucking and accounting program that is all you will need whether you are a company driver, owner operator, fleet or broker. Over the past six years I've went from a one truck owner operator to multiple trucks and brokering loads to contractors. Trucker's Helper allowed me to expand my software capability as needed and covers the accounting and reporting requirements of IFTA, KYU, and IRP.

Pros:

I like the fact that Trucker's Helper is a one stop shop in that it covers every aspect of trucking from dispatch, maintenance, accounting, personnel, IFTA, IRP, KYU, payroll and etc. Also, the customer service provided through the Priority Support option is phenomenal. John, the developer of Trucker's Helper, goes above and beyond to help you resolve any issues you may have using Trucker's Helper from figuring out the proper way to enter a complex accounting issue or solving a functionality issue with Trucker's Helper. For example, I had a technical issue arise late on a Friday night. I was locked out of the program and thought I had lost all of my data. I was in a state of panic. I submitted a Technical Support Request Form online late on a Friday night. Late afternoon on Sunday, I received a phone call, it was John. He spent the next hour or so doing a remote repair to get me back up and running. Now that is customer support!

Cons:

Not a thing.

A must have for small business trucking

Comments: My overall experience with Truckers Helper has been fantastic! Everything you need, when you need it and all in one place.

Pros:

Unlike a large trucking company my wife and I do not have access to the vast knowledge and know how needed from multiple people to maintain proper reporting, paperwork, maintenance and accounting. Truckers Helper fills the void needed to handle accounting, compliance, mileage tracking and settlements. I would need to hire multiple people to replace the abilities of Truckers Helper. Not only is Truckers Helper cheaper than an office of workers, its also easier to manage and more efficient.

Cons:

There is a lot of info needed to get everything up and running. It is time consuming at the start but once you are running full speed it is definitely worth it.

ITS FINE I GUESS

Comments: The program is fine. It does what it is supposed to do but man it is so freaking temperamental and slow. There are so many time I go to run a report and and it sits on the loading screen and sits and sits then finally pops up but instead of the report it shows the main program screen. I am entering the routing it sits there waiting to bring up the stupid zip code. And then waiting for the zip codes to enter in the system. Once you figure out some the tricks the program is fairly easy to use. But I do not feel like the support is terrible. The manual gives no useful information, the video tutorials never seem to cover what I need in any reasonable amount of time. And having to email and wait for a day or more to get a response sucks. For the record I am doing this review to try and avoid another price increase, at the same time if the cost gets much higher I am moving my company to a different program because this one will cease to be worth the headache.

OUT OF BUSINESS

Pros:

Used this software since 1998 and [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] was very helpful. Then it went to online and all data was in a cloud. Now he is closing it down and no one answer the phone and e-mail has been shut down. There seems to be no contact to get any information on how to get all data to be able to maintain accounting records. Not a good way to close down a business and not anyone can get their data.

Cons:

After learning it I liked the software. It integrated with other apps that were offered.

Pros:

Complete, affordable package. They also help with management question, not just how to use the program. Great service.

Cons:

No free phone support like I used to have with the standalone program. You have to pay per incident with the new online service.

Loss of $30

Comments: I liked that it was one of the few that I could take a video tour of prior to purchase. That was the only good part. It said it works for O/O, seemed simple to use, easy to figure out especially with the live chat and online manual. I needed to be able to invoice every 2 weeks, 3-5 runs a day with different rates. It was unable to accomplish this task. Live chat was a let down. Their response both times were to read the manual. NO HELP... two days later I decide it isn't going to work no matter how many times I read the manual! Spoke with live chat. Was told I could cancel but could not get a refund as it was stated multiple times no refund... it also stated worked for O/O but that was false.

Usage

Comments: I have had a lot of good luck using this program. There have been times that it doesn't work the way it's suppose to. The nice thing is that the support team works really hard on getting it back together. The one thing I do miss is when they were able to take control of the program and show you what you are doing wrong. I enjoyed that.

Trucker's Helper Online has made my job a hole lot easier and more enjoyable.

Comments: Trucker's Helper is a great program once you learn the flow. I caught on fairly quickly by watching ALL the training/how-to videos provided. I have to admit, I've made a few mistakes. However, the customer support team has been fantastic with helping me figure out what I did wrong and how to fix it. I like the fact that it's online because I don't have to worry about updating the software or performing back ups. The online feature also allowed me to hire an assistant without the need for additional office space. I chose this program over all the others I researched because it has the accounting component without the need for additional software. I recommend it to everyone I know in the trucking industry.

GREAT PRODUCT

Comments: Were going on 10+ years of using Truckers Helper as our main and only software for keeping up with all our needs. We have over 30 trucks and employees for which the program keeps up with all invoices, payroll, accounts receivables, miles, expenses, balance sheets, profit/Loss, all quarterly info and ect.. There's no phone communication but If ever there's a issue with our program just one quick support ticket is sent and someone is helping fix the problem either by replying by e-mail how to fix or there remotely accessing our computers. We have entered over 100,000 + items into this system and still adding more daily. I recommend this program for it's been great to us.

EXCELLENT!!!!!!!

Comments: We have been using the program for some 15 years, the bookkeeper box version, it was exactly what I was looking for, it allows you to make plus or minus adjustments and to edit reports--when time is of essence its real important. Its an all in one program, does accounting, dispatch, payroll, etc. The company had an IRS audio a couple years ago and the IRS agent and our accountant said it was the best audit they had both ever been involved with, every expense and income account balanced to what was submitted, they said that never happens, one could say I keep good books but you need a program that allows such and TH does, LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Easy program, affordable

Comments: The program is very affordable--changed from another program to this one and have found no problems with the calculations. The program is mostly user friendly. I don't find it to be put together logically for me-I feel like I must go through a lot of gyrations to get to the report that I need. Sometimes things are promised to be completed in the applications that aren't delivered when they are promised.
There is sometimes a problem with response--promises to call and then we have to make the call again because there is no response. When you do call, the people are all friendly and try to be helpful.

Took me awhle to learn but once I got it the program works great.

Comments: I started with the standalone 15 years ago - watched this program grow and now use the online program. The online one is much easier to learn and avoid mistakes. Word of caution though - watch those tutors and remember it's a real time program. If you get a mistake or error message and keep going without stopping to fix it the fix can be painful.

Things have gotten better since upgrades were made

Comments: Had a lot of problems with the software at the beginning, since it has been upgraded things run a little soother. At first customer service was almost non-exsistant and those trying to help did not seem to know the software. Since the upgrades have not needed to contact customer service so can't really say if there was an improvement there.

Trucking Business Software for Trucking Professionals

Comments: Invoicing, IFTA, Dispatch, Loads, Payroll, you name it, it can help!

Pros:

Whether you are a driver, owner operator, or own a small fleet this helps with absolutely everything!

Cons:

Nothing. This is very good software and can be used for any size fleet or individually.

Wonderful product

Comments: I have been using Trucker's Helper for about 8 years now. They are first rate on helping you get started if you have no experience with accounting. Support is very responsive. My only problem is that there is no android app yet but it is in the works.

Used it for three years and had some bugs but pretty good now

Comments: I like it because it accounts for our expenses more like any other business. Our bank likes it too. Small fleet software seems to focus on dispatch more than accounting. Also log book validation is important to us.

VERY easy to use, great online forum to help with issues, they address problems quickly!!

Comments: I run 3 trucking companies one of them being my own. I will not use any other program other than Truckers Helper. Everything you need for the back end of running a trucking company is all in this one program.

It does what it says it will

Comments: It helps to have some knowledge of accounting beforehand to really get into it. Its a good program, when you run into a problem they help you very quickly to fix it .

We are a medium size company. We have used the software since 2006 and find it a good fit for fleet.

Comments: It is easy to understand and work with and also maintains records in an understandable format. We enjoy using it.
