Synup works for me so I can focus on my business

5.0 last year

Comments: The experience so far has been nothing short of amazing. We have been seeing a small influx of new customers we believe to be a direct result of the SEO arm of Synup at work. Our social media presence has grown as well, and although we aren't big on those platforms, we are growing with their help. As our industry is shifting to a newer generation, we are glad to hopefully have a leg up on the competition by having Synup on our side in the social media landscape. It's also been great to have someone keeping an eye on our business reviews, because it was honestly not something we had even thought to bother with. Getting so much digital assistance from one company is incredible.

Pros:

Synup is great for so many things, from ensuring my business is found in all relevant search engines, to staying on top of social media presence and business reviews. It's simple to integrate all of our platforms into one place to keep track of posting and stay on top of trends. Staying caught up with of all of the things Synup does would literally be a full-time job, maybe more. But with this tool, we are able to pour more into our business and worry less. It's easy to use, fits within our budget, and helps our business stay in the public eye.

Cons:

The biggest downside is that customer support is not always the fastest or easiest to get ahold of, but they are super helpful when you are able get to them. I'm hopeful this issue will be resolved as they grow and are able to hire a larger tech/customer support team.

Synup is worth taking a hard look at. You can try for Free

5.0 last year

Comments: Our main focus is Managing Social Media Platforms. Synup allows us to measure and manage our digital presence across multiple channels.
Synup’s unified listings management interface helps us to improve our ranking & leads.
We are in the testing stages but overall, very pleased with the platform so far.

Pros:

Synup Social outperforms other social media management tools, every time. You'll love its intuitive interface, simplified workflow, and AI-assisted content that save you time & money. Also, like the reputation management tool allows us to monitor, generate & respond to customer reviews, and measuring customer sentiment on one platform.

Cons:

The only thing I see lacking on the platform. Again, we are in the testing phase so this maybe a feature we do not know about yet. Would like to see more customization in the platform to specific requirements.

Alternatives Considered:

Synup is probably the worst software I've ever used.

Comments: Our overall experience with Synup has been exceptionally poor. We chose Synup to save time automating the NAP updates and review outreach process. Tl;dr - DO NOT buy this product. The reality turned out to be very different. First, the NAP process ran and the majority of the websites they check are either irrelevant or have such a low domain authority that it's barely worth the link and effort to update. Some are literally broken (!!!). So we decided ok that part of this product doesn't add value but maybe the outreach function with filter would be good. What they don't tell you is adding a filter to remove bad reviews, their core value prop, is a violation of Google's terms and conditions. But if you run a campaign with no filter, you risk your clients getting 1, 2 or 3 star reviews. It's worth the risk. However, not so fast - I wasn't able to upload the csv file into their system despite using the template they provided. There's theoretically a way to upload a csv of your contacts without calling support but I have not yet discovered it. I have had to ask their support team (who are good, to be fair) to help. In short, if you want to pay more and add extra headaches to your life, Synup is great! If you want a better solution, keep looking.

Pros:

Marginal time savings through automating the multi-site NAP checking process Support people are pleasant enough and seem to genuinely care (I speak with them weekly)

Cons:

Confusing UI - very difficult to navigate Majority of websites they check have lower traffic or DA making it almost a waste of time to update DOES NOT AUTOMATE THE UPDATE PROCESS!! This was what we thought Synup did. File upload does not work (never once got this to work without asking their support) Way too expensive for the supposed value it provides Low conversion rate for outreach campaign Support team contradicts themselves by advising against a filtered campaign then do one themselves

One Stop Shop for Social Media Management

5.0 last year

Pros:

I absolutely love that Synup allows me the ability to manage multiple social media accounts in one central location. I am able to schedule future posts without having to login to each individual account and create the post. I also have really enjoyed the capability to respond to customer messages directly in the platform. This keeps my notifications in a central location and allows me to reply very quick. I believe that this platform has cut back on my man hours spent fumbling through social media accounts significantly. I also have been pleased with the visually friendly reporting options included in the software. I can now generate reports and keep track of user engagements to determine if my post and content is effective.

Cons:

I initially had some confusion with how to link my Yelp account into the platform. It was taking me quite some time to figure out the permissions. This resulted as a user-error on my part, but I would not have come to an easy solution without the amazing support from Synup. I reached out with my issues and included screenshots. They promptly replied with step-by-step instructions on how to integrate Yelp into the platform.

Simplicity at Its Best

5.0 last year

Comments: Been using Synup for about a year now. It has been easy to use, with a nice design. The site shows Synup's tools well and gives accurate info. I didn't need support, because the website was clear. Referrals & Positive reviews on the site influenced my view.

Pros:

The website was easy to use and find information. The nice design makes it better. The info was right, and I didn't need support, showing the site works well. Positive reviews made me trust it. Overall, I highly recommend Synup.

Cons:

For businesses relying on a diverse tech stack, Synup's challenges in integration are a notable drawback

Excellent Tool

5.0 last year

Pros:

Synup is amazing! It definitely increased our local brand awareness leading to more customers and higher sales. It is super easy to use and fit in my budget. We used it for social media management, review management, and listings management. I strongly recommend it! Can't imagine not having it now that we do as use it every day!

Cons:

Nothing! Fabulous tool! If I had to name a negative, it would just be that we didn't start using Synup sooner! If I had to name one negative, I would say that their website is a bit overwhelming Many pages features just a tremendous amount of information to absorb. Overall though I am extremely impressed. Their team did an amazing job creating this tool!

Local Listing

5.0 6 years ago

Pros:

Easy to use, good Agency Platform. Not as robust as some of the others, but price is great!

Cons:

A lot of the major local listing sites has to be created manually - or you can pay to have Synup create for you.

Watch Out For The Scam

1.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: The overall experience was a zero the people were good the process was horrible and billing was horrible.

Pros:

I liked some of the people. But the software is clunky and not a fit at all for what I’m doing.

Cons:

They forced sold an unsustainable contract on me. They revised it a couple of times but we never got out of the testing phase. After not ever launching it they are trying to collect $10,000+! The software is clunky and did not serve our needs in any way. It’s ridiculous and of course I’m fighting it all the way. These scam companies must be stopped.

Simple tool for quick directory management

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: We use this product to help with one component of our local SEO service package. Customer service is also excellent at quickly replying to and acting on technical issues, and in many cases implementing substantial updates to see to those needs. They also are providing a large amount of white-label resources for customer education.

Pros:

The ability to instantly claim, update, and maintain a solid list of online directories and have a quick result is what makes us a regular reseller of this product.

Cons:

I would appreciate more versatility and details in the reports and analysis that the software is currently able to generate.

Inexpensive product with lots of value but clunky interface

4.0 4 years ago

Pros:

I still have clients who use the product. It is inexpensive and provides a lot of value for what it costs. If you need to update business listings, solicit reviews, get insights from their reports. The product does work well and does what it says. The customer service is also really good. When they add new services it is included in the price.

Cons:

the interface is clunky and a lot of clients struggled to use it.

Synup works and is cost effective

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Synup easily allows me to monitor all reviews and never get surprised by a bad review. It automates all notification. It also improves SEO and tracks 50 keywords across Google Maps, Google, Bing and Yahoo. It is great to make instant updates across all my listings via API and then see the results of increases in phone calls and store visits

Pros:

Great user interface, easy to manage listings via API, automate all review management, and give reporting to my clients and locations

Cons:

review widget needs improvement and customer service was just ok until i got assigned a new account manager in NYC

BUYER BEWARE - SCAM

1.0 5 years ago

Comments: I tried to cancel this service over 5 times. They refused to cancel my service. After having to be forceful, they said I could not cancel unless I paid a $300 cancellation. Not only does this platform not work, their customer service is horrible.

Pros:

I like nothing about this platform. It does not work

Cons:

Everything is wrong with this company and software. Never did anything for my business or any of the businesses I added
