Perfect team collaboration tool

5.0 last year

Pros:

This product has rapidly sped up our decision-making and response time to external users. It takes minimal effort to share emails, ask for input from the team and make collaborative decisions. It's like a secret back channel where we can get things done away from the mess of other platforms, apps, tools, etc.

Cons:

Very little to dislike here. Missive team continually works on the product, adds features, and are responsive to feedback.

Making Business & Teams Smarter

4.0 7 months ago

Comments: Overall, they're great and seems to be growing and adapting.

Pros:

It reduces the noise between teams and the time taken spent resolving topics as no-one is having to forward emails, CC this person, BCC that person, etc. Work just gets done.

Cons:

The price in addition to Office365 or G Mail plan is a little high which would be totally fine actually if it was possible to have different users on different plan levels.

Missive Review

3.0 5 years ago

Comments: A great resource when working with many different types of email platforms and communication platforms.

Pros:

My favourite part of missive was that we were able to integrate other programs and platforms into our Missive. Giving us more abilities than if we were just using one program.

Cons:

Because of the fact that we were integrate other platforms into our Missive use we would sometimes run into troubles if one platform upgraded and the functionality stopped between the two.

unified communication

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: It helps a lot to have more divided conversations, thus having clear, precise and live conversations to give continuity to the work quickly with better and personalized ideas

Pros:

I can maintain a more organized communication with my work team by giving specific assignments that can be given to the conversations directly and a shared inbox between several users to validate information every time it is needed without having to ask again or download the same information several times

Cons:

I have not had any problems, it has always been used correctly and works well, giving good management to my work conversations

Missive can be as powerful as you like it to be

4.0 8 months ago

Comments: Good experience overall with support, onboarding, billing, and the product.

Pros:

I've searched for similar software for what I need.. team communication and email management. I like the interface to communicate with my team, assign tasks. I appreciate that it works with Microsoft 365 products. A lot of similar services only works with Google. Although I wish they do not only work on chained/treaded email, it does has some advantage and I can understand why they need it that way. I use it daily to communicate efficiently with my team on emails received and assign tasks.. or for internal communication. There are lots more features we are not using yet. But it can be as powerful as you need. I think pricing is fair for what it offers. and the product doesn't have down time. Support is consistently good. There are lots of training offered.

Cons:

Has to have chained/treaded emails. a learning curve to set up the rules and settings.

Most Comprehensive Email App

5.0 10 months ago

Comments: I have to share that I was very close to canceling my Missive subscription to find some savings due to a recent pay cut I was asked to take. After trying out other software, I could not leave Missive. Nothing beats it in terms of customization and feature set that makes my email life productive.

Pros:

The amount of options and customizations. The integrations, clean layout.

Cons:

The cost. It's quite expensive being a single user not having my company pay for it.

Finally: E-Mail and Communication done right

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: Did a lot of research before and must say: Very happy I switched with my whole team. Office life got a lot easier and more fun even. Also really great and blazing fast e-mail support in case of questions. I am very amazed how this company pulls this off with a very fast growing but still quite small team to develop, maintain and manage a product of this complexity.

Pros:

Mailboxmanagement and team collaboration on e-mail is best in class. Stable, fast and incredibly efficient. Also great in-depth customizability through nuanced settings and customizable shortcuts, responses, etc... The In-Conversation Teamchat saves a lot of Slack messages with copy+paste email content and gets rid of a lot of misunderstandings due to inefficient communication.

Cons:

Only thing I do miss from outlook is the faster inbox search through local index files that worked almost in real-time. In Missive, it might take a few seconds until it crawled the mailbox content for keywords. But it works reliable.

Game Changer

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: Overall, Missive has significantly improved how our team handles communication. It's especially great for teams that rely heavily on email and want to bring more collaboration and structure to their inbox. While there are some minor areas for improvement, the app has been a powerful tool for increasing our productivity and keeping everyone on the same page. I’d definitely recommend it to any team looking for a shared inbox solution!

Pros:

The collaboration features are by far the best part of Missive. Being able to assign conversations to team members, save drafts, and comment directly on emails without cluttering the main thread is incredibly useful. It turns email into a real-time, collaborative workspace, which makes team communication smooth and efficient.

Cons:

The mobile app could use some improvement in terms of user experience. While it’s functional, navigating between different threads and inboxes can sometimes feel a bit clunky, and the layout is not as intuitive as the desktop version. Additionally, setting up certain advanced features like custom rules takes some time and technical knowledge.

Missive Fan

5.0 9 months ago

Pros:

Missive is the most cooperative, customer-oriented and modern email client I have ever worked with as an organization. As responsible for all automation and processes within the organization, I have become a fan of Missive over the past +/- 1.5 years and have already recommended it to several companies in my area. Good UI/UX, always in development and they really want to think about solutions in processes within your organization.

Cons:

The only thing I'm missing is a Zoho connection

Missive for the win!

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Love, love, love Missive. The lads are excellent with their onboarding and support. I have no idea how such a little team does so much at such a high level - it is truly inspirational.

Pros:

We reviewed this alongside Front. It was attractive to me as it is a small team that is bootstrapped, and I like to support that. But most critically when doing the technical review of Missive v Front (and others) we found that they had the deepest integration with Gmail and an excellent API that allowed us to build a custom integration with our internal tooling. We were driven to find a common collaborative inbox tool for the team as Intercom wasn't working as well as we needed (we still use it for outbound messages), plus we get lots of messages from other channels and for other reasons beyond support - like sales. It also works well with PipeDrive - seeing that PD was using it themselves was reassuring, although it would be *excellent* if they shared some of the internal integration learnings with the PD integration off the shelf (it does the job, but only just)

Cons:

There is still some confusion about how to best handle closing and archiving with team emails - so it is closed from an individuals box but not the shared box and similar when trying to hand over an email and removing the email from your inbox - we still have a fear we will archive it for everyone. This is the most confusing part of the platform. We tend not to use Tasks as we have Pipedrive, Trello, TidyHQ all generating tasks which makes it confusing - I do wish we could push all tasks centrally to one of the above tools.

Missive is one of if not the best App I have ever used - and I test and set up Apps every day!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: A total pleasure. If only every SaaS product/company was as awesome as Missive!

Pros:

The fact that Missive allows you to see and reply to comms received on pretty much any channel you can think of is a total game changer! And you can create message templates with custom variables that you can use in any of your messages on any channel! I was pretty blown away that for a really affordable price I could set up live chat on not one but two websites - and get it set up in 5 minutes!

Cons:

The only thing I think Missive could add to take it to the next level would be easy to set up email sequences with variables that stop sending automatically when the recipient replies (a la Mixmax). Apparently you can kind of do this via rules but it won't stop sending automatically if the recipient replies I believe.

Stable, powerful and great support

5.0 5 years ago

Pros:

1. Unlike many email clients, missive is modern, stable, and extensible with good built in integrations (asana, pipedrive) and it's extensible. We were able to create our own sidebar plugin for a custom CRM, to view crm data of the person you're emailing with in the sidebar, in just a few days. 2. Missive's support is fantastic. Their team quickly answers and fixes any bugs fast if you find them. 3. The mobile version is as fully-featured as the desktop and stays completely in sync. 4. Missive is very actively releasing new features making the product better all the time. An example of this is the new Missive Chat which lets you embed live chat into your website and then see/answer messages from visitors within Missive.

Cons:

The UI can be a little bit complex especially the sidebar, though you can customize it. The settings area has loads of customization options but might benefit from a search function within settings to find the right option you're looking for, since there are a bunch of tabs in the settings window.

Tried a bunch but settled for Missive

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Very satisfied

Pros:

Ease of use and price point not too bad for small business. Great support whenever needed and team continuously improving the software and app. App does everything the web app also does. Chat function is also good considering it's included in the price and I like the integration with Todoist. We have use over 5 support apps and shared mailbox solutions (Front, Zoho etc) but we are settled and comfortable with Missive. In the end it was a toss-up between them and Groove but we have not regretted our choice.

Cons:

The contacts section. My ideal would be a solid support app and CRM in one. Missive does have a decent integration with Pipedrive but we don't use it. In fact, what I'd like it to be able to do mail merges to clients.

It's so nice to have this kind of support from Missive. Big shoutout to [sensitive content hidden] and the team!

Cons:

As of now, it is good as is, and they are constantly improving, so there is no downside as such.

Our business RUNS on Missive!

5.0 last year

Pros:

Missive has really helped us so much in our day-to-day operations. Our team is always in communication thanks to the chat, and there is no overlapping emails since we all see drafts in real time. We have multiple teams within the same app, and it's just a must for any business that values efficiency!

Cons:

There's a little bit of a learning curve as there are A LOT of features, so it can be a little overwhelming at first or when training new employees.

Fantastic Collaboration Tool based on Email

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

We love Missives Team Inbox Feature and the way it enables our company to work together remotely. We can't imagine working without Missive anymore, it has been a huge booster for our workflows and productivity overall. The team of Missive itself is highly responsive and super helpful and always working hard on the product, delivering new updates with the latest developments super quickly.

Cons:

If I have to mention one thing, it's that tasks within Missive aren't solved ideally yet. While you can create tasks and assign users in conversations, there is no function to filter for tasks or view a total task list. As we do not use Missive for actual workflows (we have a CRM for that), this isn't a huge deal for us, though.

Our team adores missive

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: We found traditional email programs had far too many gaps. We were losing conversations and context. We were also having to double and triple-handle conversations with an awkward combination of email and chat. Missive puts chat and email together into one intuitive space. Clients have a better experience, our staff find their customer workload easier to handle, and I have much better oversight over our company communication.

Pros:

Without exaggeration I spent two years testing out various email/help-desk solutions for our team before eventually settling on missive. It ticks so many boxes for us: imap synch, effortlessly colloborative, customisable rules, easy escalation pathways. It is also the first tech tool that I've introduced to our team that most staff actually love. In less than 24 hours we went from missing Thunderbird to happily moving everything across. Missive just works, and I love it.

Cons:

I would love to see some more integrations. Missive has some nifty features built around iframes - but better integration with some of the common integration tools would make this even easier.

Missive Has Increased Productivity

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Missive has been phenomenal, and has changed the way our team collaborates. We are over the moon about the service that Missive provides for us, and are always excited to see the different updates and news letters that they provide. We recommend Missive to many friends in colleagues in all different industries.

Pros:

The collaborative nature of Missive creates easy and smooth connections between teammates, and productive workflows that we use daily to quickly connect with our clients. There are plenty of ways to assign/delegate/organize correspondences, and we could not provide the level of quality customer service we are able to without Missive being a part of our day-to-day. Missive's customer service team is top notch, and they are quick to get back and/or resolve any issues that I run into on a day to day basis, as well as help answer my questions. It's also a very visually appealing software, with simple icons and logos that clearly communicate their purpose.

Cons:

There are a ton of the features, a few of which seem to be somewhat similar or redundant, however, I think that is more than likely because I am not fully educated on all of the bells and whistles. So the cons that I find to be most prevalent are more so surrounding an overall lack of up front education on the software itself. I would appreciate the ability to hop on a call or get a quick run down on how things work. It's highly likely that I'm not aware of the fact that I could set something like this up, but to my memory I don't believe I've seen if it's possible to set up a Zoom or general talk through of Missive's program with a Missive team member to chat through the software, and see if they have suggestions on streamlining anything that we do on a day to day basis.

Great Mail Management / Shared Inbox Software

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: We are a very small team and were desperately seeking some inexpensive software that helped us manage our customer email inquiries. All the other tools I've tried were overkill (ticketing, etc.) for our needs.
Whis this software you can not only handle your customer emails but you private emails can be managed as well and at the very same place. No switching software anymore for different email needs...

Pros:

This software has a very nice design, works without any flaws, is very responsive/fast, and has a very affordable price. Cheaper than ANY comparable tool I found so far! Customer support ist extremely quick and helpful and all in all it was relatively easy to setup our processes. This is one of the rare examples for a software that I actually like to pay for because I think they deserve my money! (I even took the time to write this Review...)

Cons:

Haven't really found some negative points yet, but I am a new customer. You cannot understand every aspect of the software without reading about it in the help system. But you can try out everything and then delete your experiments after that, which is very positive.

The ability to comment and collaborate with your team in individual email is simply fantastic!

5.0 7 years ago

Comments: Missive helps me to have better communication with my team. The ability to comment directly on individual emails allows me to gain productivity.

Pros:

Simple and easy to use. Collaborating with team members is incredibly easy. Regular updates. Incredible support.

Cons:

The user interface could be better and cleaner. Minor bugs can occur, but are corrected almost immediately by the Missive team.
