> **Pros**: Das Frontend hat eine gute Usability für den Anwender und die Einrichtung im Backend war dank eines gut gemachten Handbuchs auch sehr gut selbst zu bewältigen. Der Support per Mail verlief auch immer sehr zeitnah.

Im Teilnehmer-Management hätten wir uns die Funktion gewünscht, dass nach Anmeldung die Teilnehmenden selbst Änderungen in ihrer Buchung vornehmen können. Das muss jedoch alles händisch von den Organisator\*innen erledigt werden.

Mit Converia hat man ein Tool, das bereits durchdacht vorkonfiguriert ist, mit ein paar Anpassungen eine individuelle Konferenz-Oberfläche darstellt und damit z.B. Prozesse des Paper-Reviews sehr hilfreich unterstützt.

> **Cons**: Wenn man die preiswerteste "self-service" Variante nimmt, muss man natürlich erst einmal das Converia-System autodidaktisch verstehen lernen. Hierzu gibt es wirklich viele Tutorials und Hilfeseiten und man wird vom Support auch nicht alleine gelassen, wenn man irgendwo ins Stocken gerät. Aufgrund der Komplexität des "Gesamtsystems" kann es aber immer wieder kleine "Frustmomente" geben.

> **Pros**: Converia bietet sehr umfangreiche Möglichkeiten, mehrsprachige Events aufzusetzen, Ticketkategorien zu strukturieren (mit Side-Events und Workshops), Userdaten zu erfassen, Verkaufsphasen sowie Teil- und Komplettstornos einschließlich Gebühren abzuwickeln. Es gibt auch monatliche Zwischenabrechnungen.

> **Cons**: Der Einstieg in das Backend ist anfangs etwas unübersichtlich. Gerade die Gutscheinverwaltung bietet viele Möglichkeiten, versteckt sich aber an verschiedenen Stellen, was sich ohne Manual nicht erschließt.
Bei der deutschen Version wünsche ich mir alternativ eine weniger akademisch trockene Ansprache, also Du statt Sie. An vielen Stellen lässt sich das anpassen (E-Mails usw.), in einigen UI-Bereichen allerdings nicht.

> Wir haben Converia nur für das Ticketing eines Festivals genutzt und sind sehr gut gefahren. Wer Xing Events vermisst, sollte sich Converia auf jeden Fall anschauen.
