Reviews of Zoho Inventory

To succeed in today's competitive marketplace, maintaining accurate customer data is essential.
Comments: I can say that Zoho Inventory has helped reduce inventory management errors and have a clearer view of how sales are performing. As for recommendations, I recommend Zoho Inventory to anyone who needs to manage their inventory efficiently and quickly. It is a useful and easy-to-use tool that saves time and increases productivity. In summary, I am delighted with my experience using Zoho Inventory. It is a valuable tool that has helped me manage my inventory quickly and efficiently.
Pros:
I can highlight that Zoho Inventory allows me to manage inventory efficiently and quickly, saving time and increasing my productivity. I also like that Zoho Inventory offers various reports and statistics that help me make better decisions and better understand how my business is performing. Zoho Inventory can help you achieve this goal by streamlining your sales and inventory management processes and ensuring that your customer data is always up-to-date and accurate.
Cons:
I believe integration with other company programs could be improved, although this has not been a big issue for me so far. Also, although it doesn't affect performance too much, I would like to see more customization of some platform aspects.
A web version of MASS 500, with tons of features.
Comments: Has been exceptional. Customer service is great, and helpful.
Pros:
If you have ever used Mass 500 or similar systems, this will be a breeze to use. I do find that for my use the customization is a bit difficult, but for the most part, its able to do everything I need to run business day to day. Has multi user control, has new history tracking, last purchase price, inventory inquiry, and even has support for business in SQFT, LFT. I am happy that i got to find this before i went other routes. The cost was also much lower than any other system I had tested.
Cons:
Being a web based CRM, the customization is a bit less than I would have liked. Especially how the documents look, or ease of finding profit margin by the invoice, or item level, but i hope someone at ZOHO is looking into this.
Alternatives Considered: Sage CRM, NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise and Pipeliner CRM
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Inventory: Price, and customer service.
Shopify users, beware of Zoho!
Comments:
Impossible to contact the dev team, even by email, which would have saved me two years of lost development time on my end. There is not even an effective communication channel between Customer Support and their own development team. It's one of those "I.T. doesn't talk to inferior beings" outfits. You know the type.
Low integrity: If you make a mistake and misguide a paying customer, accept responsibility and issue a refund. It's the very least they could have done.
Pros:
On paper, Zoho had all the flexibility and scalability we were looking for, but it turns out that it is incompatible with a Shopify store that has more than a few months of data. It won't import the data. This is not a misunderstanding and there is no workaround. Details below.
Cons:
We bought it to be our CRM and Inventory Management System for our Shopify office furniture store. On installation, it would only import the last two months of transactions from Shopify. That's a disaster. For all of our regular customers, they'd have two accounts and we'd have to look in both places to find a past order, not to mention re-creating all of their account data by hand in the new system if they hadn't purchased in the last two months, and we'd have no idea what their lifetime value was. Zoho support was sure I had done something wrong. It took weeks for them to decide that Shopify was the problem. They told me Shopify was blocking the export of the data. So I called Shopify. They told me (in an hour) that they have an automatic block to prevent hacking but all Zoho had to do was to call them and they'd unblock them! Over a period of weeks, I tried to get to the right department to tell the install team or dev team about this, and no one seemed to know what I was talking about. They kept insisting it was a Shopify problem. A support rep got back to me a few months later and said the limitation had actually been built into Zoho and it would be fixed in the next version update. So, foolishly, I kept paying. I kept checking in and finally, two years later, they told they have no plans to fix this problem, and no, I couldn't have a refund even though I was waiting for them to fix what they told me they would fix, and had never used the product.
Good products with room for improvement
Comments: Overall good product, great support via phone, user groups and chat.
Pros:
If you are part of the Zoho, one program, inventory is a no brainer. It is a full function inventory program. The only disadvantage is ou like accounting applications like QuickBooks the billing and invoicing is handled through another Zoho application Zoho Books having said that the integration with CRM Zoho Books’s , and Zoho analytics is excellent value.
Cons:
Separate Zoho apps for functionality like billing, invoicing etc.
Wholesale Distributor Using Zoho Inventory
Pros:
Having an all in one platform is easy for us to navigate. We previously used multiple platforms and nothing synced. We now have perfect inventory management and don't risk losing stock or overselling items.
Cons:
I would like more payment processor options that could be integrated with the invoice feature. Stripe suspended our account because of a surge of transactions and refunded half of the orders. Stripe is also holding 5 figures of funds that it did not refund. We broke none of its TOS. Adding better processors would be very nice. It would also be extremely helpful to have bulk image upload supported in the inventory import feature. We deal with thousands of items in our inventory and cannot manually add pictures for each one.
Stock Control how it should be
Comments: Stock consistency between what is sold in store and what is sold online has been excellent and the general operation is both efficient and easy.
Pros:
We love the integration and module aspects. The modules all fit together allowing full integration. With this comes the ease of stock control and order management both online and offline. No complicated app integrations or stock drift. it just works.
Cons:
Search facility has an issue you can not always locate an item just by keyword and have to enter the full name. With thousands of products this is not always possible.
One of the best Inventory softwares out there.
Comments: Overall, the experience has been great using Zoho inventory. It has really simplified our operations.
Pros:
The integration of inventory with Shopify and other e-commerce platforms, like WooCommerce and Amazon, is very helpful.
Cons:
Cannot edit invoice template formats. You need to choose from the formats they have.
Easy setup and cost effective
Pros:
Zoho helps me keep track of my inventory levels and valuation, is easy to use, and was incredibly easy to setup and deploy.
Cons:
I wish that there were customizable fields available on the item records, and reporting could be more comprehensive and customizable.
Not for me
Comments: Not for me. There are other products that suit me better
Pros:
I’m not really liking this product. Not enough tools for me
Cons:
Not easy to navigate for me. Had a hard time getting where I wanted to go
Amazing order and product management suite
Comments: Very happy with Zoho, one of the best things about it is that it can seamlessly integrate other modules as well such as Zoho Books, and Zoho Analytics, which all help to make Zoho inventory more useful.
Pros:
Zoho allows for a lot of customisation as to what data you can store for orders and products. It has amazing flexibility with custom fields, that allows us to achieve exactly what we want. Also, it has a lot built in automation tools, which are extremely helpful. All of that for a price, that is reasonable and cheap compared to alternatives.
Cons:
Because Zoho is such an extensive suite of tools, it is a little overwhelming to set up in the start. That being said, once its up and running it is really good.
Review
Comments: I would say it's been a great experience overall.
Pros:
Pretty much a simple, great system all around.
Cons:
Honestly there's a learning curve, but nothing too rough.
Alternatives Considered: Zoho Books
Reasons for Choosing Zoho Inventory: Ease of access, better inventory stocking and customer functionality.
Switched From: QuickBooks Online
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Inventory: Had heard about it from a family member from his small business, had to give it a shot.
Delivers Essential Features at a moderate rate
Comments: It’s simple and does what it says on the tin at a moderate price. Could it be cheaper? Yes, but you’ll be hard pressed to find a similar software which actually works and integrates with the usual e/commerce and small business platforms as the Zoho software portfolio does - and this is much the case for Zoho inventory too.
Pros:
That it delivers on the usual features expected of such a system, and does so at moderate to budget pricing which is hard to find un the booming e-commerce industry - but can be something that could make or break small business owners and sole traders.
Cons:
It sometimes feels a bit clunky to use and doesn’t quite reach the budget mark as well as I would have expected from a Zoho product - especially given the features portfolio it offers compared to competitors.
Alternatives Considered: InventoryCloud
Reasons for Switching to Zoho Inventory: Pricing and features, were more aligned with an e-commerce small business like mine, at the time of purchase.
Simple but well good
Pros:
The functions are easy to use and to deal with! Its worth it.
Cons:
The only thing is if we scan some product for an order we cant scan twice
A great tool to keep track of your inventory
Comments: It invaluable if you are handling orders with multiple warehouses.
Pros:
It's an easy to use product in the Zoho universe of applications. We only use Inventory, but there are many to choose from. We use it to keep track of inventory, orders and stock levels .
Cons:
Can't really think of any negative things. It does what it's suppose to do.
Great App
Pros:
Easy to use, very versatile, it has become seamlessly essential to our business
Cons:
Customer service is a bit slow and clunky
Great for Inventory!
Comments: The customer service is fairly decent ... they are hard to connect with sometimes being that they are all based in India and I'm in North America.
Pros:
I like the detailed invoices, the ability to run all sorts of reports and the capability of doing invoicing/inventory etc all in one program.
Cons:
Ok .. here is the biggest con for this product. It doesn't automatically synch with woocommerce. I had to buy an additional 2 synch connectors to use this with my online store. you would think in this day and age that it would automatically synch, but I have to implement Kloud connector to link woo commerce to Zoho and a second one to synch it back ... at a cost of an additional $30 USD per connector per month. Gets to be costly.

Robust inventory management tool
Comments: Provides a wide variety of functions to optimally manage inventory tracking.
Pros:
Facilitates tracking of products at all stages through a verification and logging mechanism for employees. Allows you to generate reports for real-time analysis, enabling you to review, track and manage supplies efficiently. The suite of integrations it offers is simple to perform and very productive. With bar code scanners you can be very accurate in collecting data on products in stock.
Cons:
It was a bit complicated to finalize the integration with some third party platforms.

Simple, easy to use and customize and efficient
Comments: Zoho inventory helped get an excellent overview on and efficiently manage our inventory. It was easy to figure the tool out, including for our hardware engineers. We are saving tons of time and getting alerts when inventory is on the low end. Very pleased!
Pros:
Customisation options are great, no learning curve we started using it right away, all needed functionality at a modest price
Cons:
There were some options related to the accounting system specifics that required digging more to figure out
Zoho Inventory for the win
Comments: We are a growing company that was in need of a sophisticated inventory management system. we found it in zoho
Pros:
I loved how easy it was to connect to our shopify store. to my surprise, it was also able to connect to Ebay. It also connects to Paypal, which makes our money transactions easier to handle, limiting our stress. Using this software, we were able to keep a very accurate inventory while selling across multiple online platforms. It is worth the cost because this helps prevent any inventory shortages and lost orders because of a lack of inventory
Cons:
The original setup was a very lengthy, which there were multiple confusing parts. There could also be a few more reports that come standard, we needed to make multiple custom reports, which also took lots of time and man power.
Customizable to fit our business needs
Pros:
We love the fact that this product is so customizable due to the nature of our business. We do not run a typical wholesale business, rather more like consignment and the ease of tracking each customers inventory as well as our own warehouse inventory with Zoho has made our account managers job much easier.
Cons:
It would be nice for the separate sales orders to merge to give a complete inventory of each customer, but it still works well.
Just the kind of business apps that any small-medium biz would need
Comments: Our startup has small teams, some of who work in different locations. We have been comfortably managing our core ops on Zoho Books & Inventory very well. Our management team also has access to data at all times. The mobile app is an excellent add-on that comes for free. It supports bar code scanning, which is a blessing if you need to handle several SKUs and process large orders. I had initially tried Quick Books paired with a third-party inventory module, but I got tired of it quickly and had to drop it. Zoho wins over competitors hands down !
Pros:
It handles most day to day business processes of any product/service business with ease. The UI is very clean and easy to use. It is very unlikely that you would come across software bugs
Cons:
For its scope and target segment, I have to really try hard to say something negative about Zoho Inventory.

One of the best application for Inventory management
Pros:
It's one of the best applications for Inventory Management in small-scale businesses. It's easy to deploy and easy to use too!
Cons:
The cost is a little bit high compared to its features.

Inventory Management that isn't scary
Comments: Easily manage our store inventory for furniture, millwork and accessories between team members for global programs.
Pros:
Zoho Inventory works well for tracking orders, and monitoring your inventory stock. It is a plus that it offers connections to services such as Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.
Cons:
Not all of the available connectors work to sync both ways, and sometimes that additional cost to connect your store with the inventory system is a hassle.
Zoho Inventory is a simple tool for simple shops
Comments: I have been working with this application for over 1 year now. It changes step by step in a good direction but still there are some obstacles for importing/exporting data, duplicates and simple product management.
Pros:
easy to use, simple configuration, many integrations with accounting software and shops via connectors or built-in with Shopify.
Cons:
it is still under development. There are no bundled or configurable products that exist in eCommerce world. It makes the stock management a little bit tricky. In the business world SKU data is an indicator of the product. In Zoho Inventory it is an item name... and SKU. Sometimes I do not understand the logic behind some rules.
My sales, shipping, and accounting are integrated into one platform
Comments: If I do not have enough inventory to ship a full sales order, I am able to make partial shipments. When new inventory goes in, I can go back to see what I need to ship to complete that partial shipment
Pros:
I can make shipments directly from my sales order. It integrates pitney bowes shipping software, so I can ship USPS first class and Priority without having to leave the ZOHO platform
Cons:
I wish they had plans for smaller companies. We only need two users, but the plan they offer to go from one user to multiple users is 4-5x the amount we pay for 1 user. I just doesn't make economical sense to pay 5x the amount just to add one more user.
