SharpCloud for decision makers in Oil and Gas Industry
Comments: I enjoy working with the software and the people supporting it. I always learn something new and very useful from them in our fit-for-purpose training sessions
Pros:
There are multiple streams of information to analyze for an investment decision in Petroleum Industry. Sharp cloud makes the decision-making process very visual by connecting these information streams and analyzing the relationships between them. It is a must-have tool for any decision maker who battles information overload on one side and fear of overlooking key information on the other.
Cons:
I would like a better-developed map component of this software. This component is lacking functionality for a broader use in oil and gas industry
Visual data analysis and decision making
Comments: It is my communication tool on a variety of business needs: presenting the capabilities of my company, explaining the general project plan to stakeholders, preparing to the hosting of the strategy session with the client and many others.
Pros:
Visualization of the complex connections between different aspects of the managed project
Cons:
Map view functionality is a relatively new addition to the software and needs more development to cover my needs
Strategic Portfolio Management and Roadmapping
Comments: I am a visual person so really enjoy using SharpCloud to create views that really help to simplify decision making. The use of relationships, although can be quite complex has helped to uncover insights that you just could not see, Lastly the ability to be able to interact with other people real time means you can have meaningful collaborative discissions, reviews and meetings. You don't have to rely on static presentations and spreadsheets and defer decisions because you did not have he correct information.
Pros:
SharpCloud is a platform and as such it is very flexible and agile to use. I have been using it for over 10 years and have delivered multiple types of user cases ranging from Workshops, Project Portfolio Management to Technology and Collaboration Roadmaps. The ability to either start creating, paste in your existing data from a spreadsheet or connect to another data source enables (SharpCloud CData Connector has over 200 connectors) you to very quickly visualize your data and stat putting it to work. My main user case is Strategic Portfolio Management and Roadmaps. You can use meta data and views templates to create joined up / integrated roadmaps that can be deployed within seconds so you can scale across your business. The platform is continually evolving based on feedback - SharpCloud are very responsive to providing functionality to meet your needs/requirements. They are very open and share the platform roadmap so you can understand what the future looks like and plan accordingly. The useability is okay and is continually improving. The ability to interact with the data real time with other colleagues in different locations is a key benefit. What is unique about SharpCloud is the ability to create relationships between your Items. You can see the "Golden Threads" across your business portfolio and understand the cause and effects. The ability to apply relationships and filter data enables you apply both Reduction and Systems Thinking at the same time. This is a must if you are a large complex business operation developing/innovation new products and services. The widgets provide additional views, forms, reports for you and are now being integrated more into the platform to make configuration easier to do. The combination of these widgets with the in built views is very powerful.
Cons:
As a platform it does take time to workout the architecture and ensure that your meta data is set up correctly so that you have good quality, consistent data visualizations. Once this is done it is easy to configure.

Cons:
I wish it was a bit easier to learn but there is rich functionality Not much else. Love it and recommend it
Visual Thinking
Comments: Business intelligence for framework NewVentures/Exploration /Production risk evaluation and Risk assessment for Geological and Geophysical studies
Pros:
Easy to visualize complex problems parameters, correlate them with common attributes, and separate them accordingly with their risk/assessment/
Cons:
GIS Tool, need to be updated as a minimum to facilitate geographical location or and also including display Shapefiles
