Reviews of Confluence

Alternatives Considered:
Knowledge Base as root
Comments: It has a learning curve at the beginning. Still, later on, and not so long after, you will find yourself putting everything on confluence because it is easy, well-managed, and perfect for a platform where people can find documentation and information in a well-presented format.
Pros:
Confluence is part of an already well-positioned and easy-to-implement ecosystem where multiple tools perform a specific job in a workflow. This makes it easy and friendly to set up and run; using information from other platforms like JIRA and Bitbucket, everything comes together in an excellent and organized way without much effort.
Cons:
It might be overwhelming at first; there are plenty of options and personalization elements you can include, so you might think, "It is too much for me." But by watching a couple of YouTube videos, you will see how you can customize it to suit your needs and start using its powerful features.
Great collaboration tool for orgs to share knowledge and info
Comments: My experience is that it is an easy tool with many functions to make my team feel in the know and equipped.
Pros:
It’s a great tool for my company to share information and knowledge and to troubleshoot (it tickets) and share news about things going on within the company.
Cons:
Not much bad to say really - just always have to log in each time I use which can be tedious.
Would not recommend to use it in the SaaS version
Comments:
It is working most of the time, with several outages in the past months.
We were forced to migrate from the on-prem to the SaaS version. The on-prem version was very good, the SaaS software is a mess in terms of ensuring information security and has way worse usability.
Pros:
Concurrent editing is still possible in the SaaS version.
Cons:
Has advertisements for other products in the menu. You have no sufficient control over the 3rd party features the users can see and use. It's a nightmare to document its use according to GDPR rules.

Pros:
Document and content management with confluence is easy. The tool has different levels of security that helps in document access control. Its reliable and helps in collaboration. Employee are able to contribute and comments are in real time.

The cost of acquiring the license and the long learning curve are the only drawbacks.
Simple tool to manage project Assets
Comments: Overall confluence has been very easy to use and operate, and get used to.
Pros:
I am quite glad this tool exists, It has an easy to navigate and even easier way to create new type of documents. I've been able to add smart links to give an in-window layout of the different file types for this.
Cons:
The admin to Org roles are confusing if you're new to this.
Confluence - Keep your company organized and documented!

Pros:
- Organization of files is super helpful to keep things easily discoverable - Customizations on pages - Integrations with other platforms and services
Cons:
Sometimes permissions. I find often times I forget to change them before sending to a coworker and they’ll need to request access.
Confluence
Pros:
Confluence is great for teamwork because it lets everyone work together on shared pages easily. It keeps all documents in one place, so it’s easy to find and organize information. It also works well with other tools like Jira.
Cons:
Confluence can feel complicated for new users, making it hard to learn at first. Its formatting options are not very user-friendly and can be frustrating to use. Sometimes, it’s also slow or hard to navigate when there’s a lot of content.

Jira and Confluence - Solid Project Management Tools
Comments: Really enjoy this product. Would buy it again!
Pros:
I greatly enjoy the Kanban views, and ability to easily set up reporting across teams/boards. It's fairly easy to customize. Planning Sprints and seeing burn down reports is also very easy with this tool.
Cons:
There really isn't much I dislike. I haven't used it for Resource Management so if you need to be able to do that ...I'm not sure if this is the tool for you.

I love Confluence

Perfect for documentation, with various supporting features around that.

Confluence's Incredibility
Comments: Confluence allows room for ideas to flow. It basically makes work easily for me.
Pros:
Confluence is an incredible platform for amazing collaborations and even for managing and organizing tasks. When am working on projects and I want to finish them fast I use Confluence because I can collaborate with teams and share ideas.
Cons:
I haven't had any problems with Confluence.

Confluence is a very famous product for project management.
Comments: If you're new to it, you need to adapt. You also have a reluctance to tools that you haven't used before. But for effective projects and business management, you now have to use collaborative tools. You can get a better work environment by adapting quickly to the initial inconvenience.
Pros:
Project management, output, work-specific human resources management, sharing and collaboration with all participants are important, and Confluence solves all these things at once. There are many services and solutions for efficient project management, but we always use Confluence.
Cons:
Perhaps because it is mainly used for necessary functions, there are no disadvantages yet.
Wonderful Project Management Tool
Comments: I have been able to collaborate on projects and finish them on time.
Pros:
Confluence is a morden workspace that allows interactive projects collaborations. It is to get information with Confluence.
Cons:
The learning curve is a hard to understand but once you get to understand it everything else gets to be easy.

Simplicity of process and integration of resources in one program.
Comments: All in all, we conclude that Confluence is a really helpful software when it comes to project management within a team. For that reason, I believe that the key advantage of is simplicity and the ability to edit it in collaboration with others simultaneously.
Pros:
The best aspect of Confluence that I have found is that it is really easy to use and very friendly. This software is very convenient for use by anyone, including the first time user of this kind of applications. I also like the potential of making and editing content that is shared and I also believe that communication as well as teamwork are enhanced.
Cons:
But the thing that I did not like most is that I sometimes get the feeling that the tool is rather limited in what it does allow me to change. I want more configuration possibilities, so that it would be possible to fit the software to the needs of my workshop.

Essential tool for Team Knowledge and Collaboration
Comments: I’ve had a lot of experience with Confluence across different companies, and it’s honestly a solid tool for keeping everyone on the same page. We use it for everything—from creating knowledge base pages to updating new processes and sharing team-specific info. It’s where we keep our org charts, team updates, and pretty much any ‘what, why, and how’ documentation. It’s easy to organize things so anyone can jump in, find what they need, and get up to speed quickly. Overall, it’s been super useful for maintaining a central hub of info that keeps everyone connected and informed.
Pros:
Every company I’ve worked at has used Confluence—it’s been super handy for creating knowledge base pages, updating new processes, sharing team-specific info, and organizing org charts. It’s basically the go-to spot for capturing the ‘what, why, and how’ of everything so the team or company is always in the loop
Cons:
Nothing i could think off, its super easy to read and also being a editor i couldn't find any issues which is a big blocker.
Confluence is a robust tool for world-class engineering/product teams to create
Comments: Confluence is a critical tool for significant documentation from an engineering/product standpoint. I don't think it will be the only tool fast agile businesses will use for documentation but it is still best in class for engineering functions.
Pros:
Confluence is the most trusted documentation player in the game. We use Jira for our engineering task management so naturally, the seamless vertical integration between the two tools is excellent. Confluence has an excellent template library and perhaps most importantly, the performance is always reliable. We can't use tools like ClickUp due to bugs and performance issues for long significant PRDs. The collaboration on confluence is excellent and permissions around editing is also important.
Cons:
Confluence is quite clunky (much like Jira). The ability to edit isn't as easy as ClickUp or Notion and that can get frustrating when you're trying to make changes quickly.
Confluence - User Knowledge base
Comments: I do not find myself going back to our knowledge base very often because I am typically part of the initial user training on new products and I take my own notes, But that is the beauty of the product. Even after long gaps in using the software I am able to go back into it and be productive and that is what I want in a knowledge base tool.
Pros:
Its ease of use and low barriers of entry
Cons:
Confluence is just a little different in how it accomplish a task, when compared to SharePoint, which means that a user well versed in SharePoint may struggle a little more than a newbie, just because they need to unlearn a few processes, which often makes those long term SharePoint users a little disenchanted by the product, but once they get over the learning curve, user acceptance on the product is very high.
Confluence makes knowledge sharing easy
Comments: It is a great solution to our knowledge sharing problems. We use it like an intranet to house policies, updates, documents and calendars in one central spot and it has worked really well in helping employees find the information they need without having to ask
Pros:
It is a really quick and easy way to share knowledge share documents and collaborate with your team. It enables us to inform our whole business of processes in a streamlined way
Cons:
The UI can be difficult to figure out. Features arent necessarily where you would expect them and I think more work could be done around organizing folders and pages

Usefulness of confluence in our organization
Comments: Overall confluence is an helpful application as it supports various devices and also provide data security for our data stored in there. It is a useful documentation and knowledge tool and easy to use in general.
Pros:
Enables user to publish, store and share different content in the space. We use this to store our product and implementation related documentation which is helpful for new employees who join the team or revisit old methods. Blogs can be published shared with specific access and share with features such as likes, comments etc.
Cons:
Navigation is somewhat difficult and causes confusion at times as we have many team and many branches, sub-branches, libraries it gets harder to navigate. Access controls are limited in customisations.
Confluence is the best!
Comments: I enjoy using it for our work environment. It seems to do the job well of documentation for ourselves and our peers to refer back to.
Pros:
I like how you can create a space large, or small enough, to fit the needs of your team and workspace for documentation.
Cons:
I feel as though confluence can get cluttered sometimes.
Daily confluence use in a digital testing team
Comments: As manager Confluence helps me and my team to collabrate easily and to create a solid knowledge base
Pros:
Very easy to familiarize with and to use
Cons:
The display of the inserted file that are not well attractive
Strong Collaboration Platform with Some Usability Challenges
Comments: It’s an effective tool for centralizing documentation and facilitating collaboration across teams. I’ve found it particularly useful for creating and maintaining project documents.
Pros:
What I liked most about Confluence was its ability to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
Cons:
What I liked least about Confluence was that it could sometimes feel a bit clunky, especially when dealing with complex formatting.
