## Overview

### Who Uses Jitsu?

Teams whose event volume comes from systems running continuously rather than people clicking: embedded software vendors, machine and device telemetry, and consumer apps at scale.

## About the vendor

- **Company**: Jitsu Labs

## Commercial Context

- **Starting Price**: US$0.00
- **Pricing model**: Usage Based (Free version available) (Free Trial)
- **Pricing Details**: Jitsu bills on active events, not on tracked users or seats. An active event is one successfully delivered to at least one destination. Events you capture but filter out with a Jitsu Function, or send to no destination at all, are never billed, so captured volume is unlimited and free on every tier. This matters most when event volume is driven by a system running continuously rather than by people clicking, because per-user pricing charges for a headcount that has no relationship to the load.

The free tier includes 200,000 active events per month. Business is $99 per month for 2 million active events, then $40 for each additional million. Connector syncs are metered separately: five monthly active syncs are included on Business, then $20 for each additional monthly active sync. Enterprise volumes and sync intervals down to one minute are quoted on request.

Seats are not charged. Destinations are not charged. Managed ClickHouse is included from the free tier upward.

Jitsu is also available under the MIT licence for self-hosting on any cloud provider or on your own servers, free permanently and with no usage limits. The MIT licence places no restriction on offering Jitsu to third parties as a hosted or managed service.
- **Target Audience**: 11–50, 51–200, 201–500, 501–1,000, 1,001–5,000, 5,001–10,000, 10,000+
- **Deployment & Platforms**: Cloud, SaaS, Web-based, Linux (On-Premise)
- **Supported Languages**: English
- **Available Countries**: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela

## Reviews

### "The pipeline lives in our repo instead of a vendor's UI" — 4.0/5

> **Mark** | *31 August 2026* | Events Services | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Two things. Transformation functions are JavaScript we keep in version control and deploy like anything else, so filtering logic gets reviewed in a pull request instead of being clicked into a settings page nobody remembers touching. The second is that we drop bot and crawler traffic in the pipeline, so it never reaches our warehouse and never enters our reporting. Previously that traffic landed first and we cleaned it up in dbt afterwards, which meant every dashboard carried a filter somebody could forget to apply.
>
> **Cons**: Crossing the free tier is a hard stop rather than an overage. When we went past the included volume, delivery stopped instead of degrading or simply billing us for the excess, so a traffic spike became an incident rather than an invoice. We are on a paid plan now and it does not affect us, but anyone running close to a tier boundary should know that is the behaviour.

### "Jitsu the pioneer of data transformation" — 5.0/5

> **Anushka** | *1 September 2026* | Health, Wellness & Fitness | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Jitsu bills on active events and captured events are unlimited, which reads like a pricing detail and turned out to change how we build.
>
> **Cons**: The destination catalogue is thinner than the large vendors offer. We wanted one specific destination and it was not there, so we wired it up through a webhook ourselves.

### "Loving the transformation function and Competitive pricing model\!" — 5.0/5

> **Prakhar** | *3 September 2026* | Insurance Software | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: We strip email addresses and IP addresses using transformation functions before any data reaches our warehouse. With our previous vendor, filtering happened after ingestion, meaning the raw values still landed in their system regardless of what we wanted, and getting rid of them meant opening a support ticket instead of changing code. Now those fields never get written in the first place, which fundamentally shifts what our security review actually has to check. If we need to strip a new field, it's a one-line change and a single deploy.
>
> **Cons**: Jitsu has no tracking plan and no validation layer, so nothing stops a renamed or malformed property from flowing straight through to the destination. We wrote a transformation function that rejects events failing our own field checks and it works fine, but that should be a toggle in the product.
>
> Really great\! The transformation function is really helpful and the pricing is very competitive. Overall the product is smooth and support is good too, although we rarely needed it. A very good candidate in the space\!
