### "They shut off my lines with 7 days' notice" — 1.0/5

> **Pros**: When it worked, it worked. Blue bubbles got noticeably better reply rates than regular SMS, and setup wasn't hard. That's exactly why getting cut off hurts as much as it does.

> **Cons**: They're shutting off my lines with one week's notice. On September 24 I got an email saying my lines will be decommissioned on October 1 because Linq is "moving away from supporting sales enablement on iMessage." I asked if there was any flexibility and was told the date is firm and set by leadership. No grace period, no transition window, nothing. You don't build your business on a vendor that can pull the plug in 7 days because they decided to chase a different market.

> I built part of my outreach process around Linq. They knew what I was using it for when they sold it to me and were happy to take my money for it. Then, with one week's notice, they told me they're changing direction and my lines are gone on October 1. I pushed back and got a firm no.

To be fair, they offered to help port my numbers out, give a prorated refund for unused time, and point me to other providers. That's the bare minimum. It doesn't cover the time and money it takes to rebuild on a new platform in a week while keeping my business running.

If you're using Linq for anything sales- or outreach-related, start planning your exit now. If you're thinking about signing up, understand that they can decide your use case no longer fits and give you days, not months, to leave.

> **Pros**: I love being able to carry just one card and be able to share all my contact information with just the tap of the card to a phone.

> **Cons**: It doesn’t always work with a person phone or has to be the exact right spot on their phone.

> Overall I love it. I was able to share and receive countless contacts at an industry event. I would have had to hand out so many business cards that may have been a waste of money if they just threw them away.
