> **Pros**: The Alma solution is great for starting up your own practice. It has a nice EHR tool and they credential you with many insurance providers.

### "No Urgent Support Available or Guarantee of Payment for OOP Clients" — 2.0/5

> **Pros**: Referrals and the ability to compose notes for you, if the client gives permission.  Sending clients reminders of the appointments and taking care of the billing are also pluses.

I am a paying Alma provider, and I cannot access my account despite resetting my password twice today. My client is presumably waiting for me right now, and because her contact information is inside Alma, I cannot even reach her to explain what is happening or offer another way to meet.

I submitted an urgent technical support request, but the automated response says it may take up to three days to receive a reply and warns that submitting additional requests may further delay the response. There also appears to be no phone number or other way to reach someone for immediate assistance.

This puts me in an awful professional position. From my client’s perspective, it may look as though I simply failed to show up for her appointment when, in reality, I am sitting here trying to reach her and cannot because I am locked out of the platform.

Technical problems happen. What is unacceptable is having no way for a paying provider to obtain immediate assistance when a technical problem is actively interfering with client care.

I sincerely hope someone from Alma sees this and contacts me promptly so I can regain access to my account and reach my client.

They help you get credentialed with insurance companies, publish your profile and match you with potential clients, provide a portal including assessments, treatment plans, case notes, etc., and even process billing for you. Additionally, they connect you to a robust network of therapists through community conversations, case conferencing, and other events to make private practice a community role. They also offer continuing education courses. For everything there is to gain using Alma, their monthly fee is completely reasonable.

> **Cons**: As a clinician, I have no complaints. However, if a client were to search for a counselor through Alma, I would imagine there are so many options they may struggle to find the right fit.
