The Best Productivity Tool on the Market!

Comments: Since I first discovered Indy, it was called Tispr, and I loved everything about it. The convenience of having all of these features in one software, the price, the ease of using the software, and all of the resources that Indy offers. Plus, we are able to have our profiles featured on their platform!

Pros:

What I like most about Indy is the ability to create custom proposals and contracts and get an electronic signature. This saves me so much time, money, it's super easy to use, and it makes me look so professional.

Cons:

What I like least about Indy is the tasks manager. I do not use the tasks feature much, but it does not necessarily mean that I don't like it; I just don't use it. I am a little old school, and I enjoy writing my tasks down on paper.

Pros:

I have been using Indy for a short period of time but in that time, I have accomplished a lot in my business. Indy has helped me stay on top of my tasks and get organized when I am feeling overwhelmed by my number of clients. I appreciate that things can be archived but very rarely can you completely delete something. I love the time tracking feature, it has prevented me from using multiple different software. Everything I need for my virtual assistance business is in one place

Cons:

Contracts should be a little more detailed in things we can edit. While many important things are provided in templates, there have been times where I have had to copy and paste my contracts into a word document so that I can add or redact certain things. This can be a bit of a grueling task. I also wish the app had more capabilities.

You actually can edit our contract templates to remove or add text and clauses. The step-by-step wizard helps you fill out the basic contract information. On the last step (either step 3 or 8 depending on which contract you're using), there is a button that will let you fully customize the contract. It is a bit hidden in the process so we'll be sure to find ways to improve that. Affordable for freelancers

Comments: Ease of use for most part, but wasn't seamless with clients.

Pros:

Affordability and ease of use. I really appreciated the templates. I used mostly for proposals.

Cons:

Clients didn't seem to want to communicate via the software and even though I sent them billing options via software, I ended up having to send an invoice via bank software for direct deposit of funds.

Pros:

It was super helpful to navigate with. & easy to use.

Cons:

It ran a bit slow at times. There was times I was trying to use it and it wouldn’t work necessary right.

Comments: Overall the experience has been good, and I look forward to more improved features.

Pros:

Easy to use, responsive customer service. The cost is very reasonable, and the team is regularly making improvements to the platform.

Cons:

The time tracking features are not intuitive or robust. I use an external tool to track time. I would like to be able to export timesheets, the ability to see reports for projects and clients, an automatic calculation of hours on a daily weekly and monthly basis, as well as calculating a total amount for the invoice instead of being individual line items. I would like to be able to modify the built in contract templates beyond just the essential info.

VERY responsive customer service

Comments: I loved their forms and their project proposals. I hit a wall with their integrations and the chat platform. They're US-centric at the moment but they told me they're rolling out international currency support in a few weeks.

Pros:

Very friendly to use, very easy to integrate forms with my Squarespace website with a block of code

Cons:

Integrations. Very few integrations (as yet). You would use a lot of this INSTEAD OF Google Workspace.

Great for my business needs

Comments: Customer service has been great the few times I reached out to them. They've continued to add new features (that I don't really use). It's been easy to use generally.

Pros:

I use the file hosting feature mostly. I joined back when it was called Tispr and find it easy to use, especially for the cost.

Cons:

There's really not anything I dislike. However, the two things I would add to the functions are 1. link tracking (how many times was a public link opened/accessed? 2. ability to create links from multiple uploaded files at once.

Indy takes care of business

Comments: I'll use Indy over Bonsai and the other competitors because there is a free model that suits my needs for now, along with room to grow into paid models when I pick up more work.

Pros:

Many logistical aspects of preparing proposals and contracts are difficult for freelance workers to learn on the go. Indy makes it easy for people like me to take care of these necessary professional aspects without the steep learning curve of learning to draft contracts.

Cons:

There are a number of aspects in the proposal drafting that lack flexibility. When including an estimate, sometimes it is helpful to have a line item with quantity zero (0) to present the client with optional add-ons. Additionally, a "discount" line item appear and cannot be removed; it's a bad optic to show a client "hey, some people get a discount but not YOU. Discount is ZERO DOLLARS."

Pros:

I have absolutely loved streamlining all of my processes into one platform. Being able to do project management, time tracking, tasks, contracts and invoices in one place has been a dream!

Cons:

I would love to see clearer information on what using Indy is like from a client's perspective, and be able to customize that experience for more collaborative work.

My Thoughts About Indy

Comments: Although Indy does have some bugs to work out, I really like the "all in one" nature of this platform. I like being able to use multiple tools for one low monthly cost.

Pros:

I love using it for proposals, contracts, and invoices. I just love how it's an "all in one" resource (e.g., I don't need to use one platform for proposals, another for contracts, etc.).

Cons:

The CRM part (or the People section as it's called) does need some work. It doesn't always let me enter the address correctly. The invoicing also needs some work. They really need to change the rate part (as not everything is per hour).

It comes in pre-selected as hourly but it's actually a dropdown menu. Comments: Invoicing is simple to use

Pros:

ease of use and simplicity of setup. I like that I could add multiple payment options and save client info

Cons:

Proposals cant be saved as templates. I have things in a google doc that I have to copy over each time. Not the worst, but saving templates would be better

Indy, the best option for starting freelancers

Comments: As a platform Indy is very complete but the thing I like the most about the platform is their Client Support. Whenever you have a question or a problem, they help you right away in the most way.

Pros:

The most impactful feature from Indy is the time tracking and invoicing. In my case I started to do freelance as a Virtual Assistant out of nowhere so I needed a platform to help me gain confidence with my client and make me look like a total professional. The contract proposal, time tracking and invoicing features help me quite a lot to be a better professional.

Cons:

The only thing missing with Indy is the mobile app, it really would improve my work. Hopefully they will get it out soon

Love Indy as a freelance creator!

Comments: Overall, 5 stars-- can't really be beat for the price. It's significantly streamlined my workflow!

Pros:

I really love the contract templates- they do a great job of covering my basic bases, as well as ensuring that my work is still available to me to use in a portfolio capacity after delivery. Indy definitely champions freelancers/contractors, and this shows in the contract templates! I also love being able to keep track of all of my clients in one place, it's so much more efficient than the spreadsheet system I was using before!

Cons:

Some of the features could probably be flushed out a bit better-- time tracking feature feels a little clunky/too many steps sometimes, and the one gripe I have with the invoicing feature is the inability to select from an existing template.

Best solution for freelance videographers out there!

Pros:

Indy has the most bang for the buck of anything I have seen, tried and used over the years. I've used and implemented 3 or 4 over the years and Indy for sure has the most functionality, ease to setup and features especially for the price. The contract drafting and how it walks through them to help you build out contracts is excellent. The ease to setup and start using it was super great and efficient. The integrations for payment processing where quick and simple. It has been very refreshing for me to use. Plus saves me money which means more money in my pocket.

Cons:

The one thing I was hoping to find but isn't out there unless you want to spend big bucks is Gmail integration. I'd love for the emails, contracts, invoices to be coming from my business email which is a G Suite account. However that isn't possible.

Pros:

It's really easy to use and has a seamless workflow between time tracking, invoicing and receiving payment from clients.

Cons:

I wish I was able to allow an employee to time track without having access to client rates and invoicing.

Good product, decent pricing, nice test features. Just didn't do what I needed it to do.

Cons:

I model so having the ability to take care of multiple tasks would be beneficial. *For more info you can contact me on [SENSITIVE CONTENT] Contract bids to help make the customer and the service provider on the same page plus including human work ethic decency would be one of my first implentations.

Like it, worth to pay for it

Comments: Really good, I like it, worth to pay for it, but with development for the cons I mentioned it will be the best choice ever

Pros:

1- Full of benefits that motivate achievement. 2- Very easy to use. 3- Integrated in terms of solutions that will not often require the user to search for complements. 4- less expensive.

Cons:

1- There is no option for multiple currencies. 2- There is no well-functioning application, and if any, it is not available for the region I am in (Kuwait)

Comments: I love Indy! I've tried numerous other contract management softwares and Indy checks all my boxes!

Pros:

Daily task management; unlimited projects; invoicing

Cons:

Ability to archive projects that are complete. Filtering through completed projects to locate active is cumbersome. Would also like to see a visual counter of active projects, pending projects and completed projects.

Comments: I'm very happy with how Indy works in my business and for the first time feel no need to look for something else.

Pros:

I really love how I can invoice my clients in their currency, and offer them different payment methods. This sounds so easy but has been a tremendous challenge for me to solve!

Cons:

I found some of the layouts not as beautiful or customizable as other options but the team took up suggestions I had and implemented them so my rectangle logo looks a lot better on the invoices.

Easy and convenient to use on a weekly basis

Pros:

I love that I can easily send contracts to my clients and get them stored in one place. Same with invoicing, so easy to use and it saves me a ton of time. It also makes them look professional and helps to avoid all kinds of attachments.

Cons:

I've been using the app on my phone when I am on the go and I found it very challenging to see where all my contracts are. I don't know why, but there is no button to see a particular contract. I wish there was a button at the bottom next to "INVOICES" button that said "CONTRACTS" so I could easily click it and see all of them in one place. As for the contracts templates, I also wish they could be saved, so that I do not need to copy and paste it every time when I make a new custom contract. Maybe its something I haven't figured out yet, but I have to copy and paste my template from scratch each time.

Very Affordable

Comments: This application makes it super easy for my small business to setup contracts, create invoices, send invoices and receive payments. It's actually helped create more credibility for my very small business - making it look bigger and more professional. But most impressive is how inexpensive Indy is.

Pros:

Cons:

Still can't seem to send a contract to two clients at once. Maybe it's just me, but that's the only thing that didn't seem to work when I tried it.

You can send a contract to 2 clients but it may be a bit hidden. First, you'll assign a primary client. Then on the final send step, click the 'Recipients' tab to add an additional recipients. I love the variety of features that allows me to accomplish all my customer tasks from invoicing to contract management in one platform.

Cons:

Work needs to be done on the UI adding more features for seamless movement amongst tasks from various areas.
