## Reviews

### "AWS Management Console Review" — 4.0/5

> **Qazim** | *26 January 2025* | Financial Services Software | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The User Interface: The dashboard is allows me to navigate through services quickly.
>
> **Cons**: It can be challenging to locate specific features or services without prior experience, especially with the frequent updates.
>
> Overall, my experience with the AWS Management Console has been great. I love its powerful and centralized interface, which makes it easy to manage multiple services like EC2 and S3 in one place. The built-in monitoring tools and resource organization features are particularly useful, and switching between regions is seamless. It’s a robust platform that simplifies cloud resource management effectively.

### "So easy to use" — 5.0/5

> **Abdul Rehman** | *10 April 2026* | Information Technology & Services | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The AWS Management Console was updated a while back with new UI and it has been so much easier to use since. There are updates daily on the UI almost I can tell that a LOT of effort went into this. The simple and clean design makes it so easy to provision and manage most AWS resources.
>
> **Cons**: I dislike how naming can sometimes be a little weird. For example, if you set up an AWS EC2 instance on the console, it will name the VPC using weird names which aren't bad but it can be confusing because the VPC then has an internal name and a display name.
>
> I love the AWS Management Console. There are still some bugs the team need to work on. For example, when signed in, sometimes, the first URL request never loads so you have to refresh the page twice. Some CloudFront distribution graphs also break or reset if you're trying to do anything complex. I still love AWS.

### "Are You Ready To Manage?" — 4.0/5

> **Drew** | *30 July 2026* | Consumer Goods | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: When our team managed cloud resources manually, the AWS Management Console was our primary gateway for daily operations. It bundled an impressive set of features into one browser interface, giving us direct control over everything from storage buckets to computing instances. We especially appreciated how easy it was to grant temporary remote access through CloudShell and SSM without configuring separate bastions. Finding core tools for patch management and server visibility was straightforward once we customized the console home screen widgets. For quick administrative tasks or occasional troubleshooting, having all services accessible in one location provided great flexibility.
>
> **Cons**: There was definitely a steep learning curve for new team members because of the sheer number of services packed into the platform. Ease of use suffered whenever AWS redesigned sub service layouts, which forced us to relearn navigation paths every now and then. Built in ticket management and operational incident tracking through OpsCenter felt somewhat limited for our workflow, so we quickly linked those tasks to external ticketing tools instead. Additionally, reaching technical customer support required higher tier support plans, which meant basic account inquiries often took longer to resolve than we liked.
>
> Looking back, the AWS Management Console was a key part of our daily routine before our infrastructure grew to the point where full automation took over. It gave us a solid starting point for configuring environments, managing remote access, and getting immediate visual feedback on server health. While we eventually moved away from manual console clicks in favor of automated deployment scripts, the web console was a reliable workhorse during the years we used it.

### "A steep learning curve, yet powerful for navigating the AWS Service Library" — 3.0/5

> **Connor** | *2 April 2026* | Media Production | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: It provides direct access to a plethora of enterprise services and solutions in a centralised console that would have traditionally required enormous investment of time, resources and expertise to be able to investigate and/or utilise.
The management console has what seems to be an extremely deep learning curve, but if you are somewhat familiar with the way the services are delivered (i.e interactions and distinctions between IAM users; roles; groups; manager vs in-line policies etc) then it can begin to grow into a powerful tool.
Once familiarised enough there are plenty of options and third party solutions that can be integrated and architected to automate and standardise on processes for service delivery which I think is where AWS really begins to excel.
>
> **Cons**: It is a gargantuan task to undertake with little or no experience, unless coming from another cloud provider potentially such as Azure or GCP.
To that end you could spend a hundred hours on the platform and still find new services and errors that are completely new to you; when paired with frequent updates and changes to services, architecture and command formatting this can make managing in small or medium businesses a very daunting task. The use of third party tools such as Intruder (automatically scans your env for security concerns) feels like a baseline requirement for security and risk management.
>
> From the perspective of a smaller business and a solo AWS administrator without prior experience, engaging with AWS infrastructure has been a steep learning curve but never fails in fascinating me with the never ending array of services and complex architectures that can be achieved.
Coming from a Windows On-prem background the security management is not intuitive initially, but the interfaces are clean and easy to look at, meaning that the inevtiable hours you'll spend staring at the console troubleshooting permissions or errors feels that little bit less tedious.

### "Power platform I rely on every day" — 4.0/5

> **Hrithik** | *13 June 2026* | Financial Services Software | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I spend most of my time in AWS because once everything is running there, it becomes the central place for checking on systems, logs, deployments, and infrastructure. I like that I can quickly jump into CloudWatch to investigate an issue, check the status of an EC2 instance, or verify a config change without having to switch between a bunch of different tools. The breadth of services is probably AWS's biggest strength - if there's something I need, there's usually already a service for it.
>
> **Cons**: AWS can feel complex sometimes. Even after using it for years, I still find myself clicking through multiple screens trying to remember where a particular setting lives. IAM permissions are powerful but can be frustrating when you're debugging why something doesn't have access.
>
> I've had a good experience with AWS Management Console overall. It's one of those tools that gets easier the more you use it. I use it regularly for monitoring systems, checking deployments, remotely accessing EC2 instances, and investigating issues. It's become a tool I rely on almost every day.
