Way better than Canva for certain things" — 5.0/5 > **Roger** | *3 January 2026* | Marketing & Advertising | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10 > > **Pros**: I like how powerful Illustrator is for vector design and illustration. It gives a lot of control and precision for creating logos, icons, and graphics. > > **Cons**: The learning curve is high and it can be overwhelming at the beginning. Also, it requires a good computer to run smoothly. > > Overall, my experience has been very good. It is an industry standard tool for professional design, but it takes time and practice to master. ----- ### "Powerful Product" — 4.0/5 > **Emily** | *6 June 2025* | Health, Wellness & Fitness | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10 > > **Pros**: I like that it is the standard in the industry for use of digital art and desing work. I use it primarily for logo and content design and features like the Image Trace tool stand out as something I use almost every day. > > **Cons**: There is a huge learning curve. Even as someone who has used it for 5 plus years, there are still things I have not figured out and am still learning how to do. > > Great product, very powerful for editing design work, typography, and so on. It is a steep price in my opinion but the most powerful design software I've ever used. ----- ### "A Powerful Tool for Professional Designs" — 5.0/5 > **Jordan** | *5 September 2026* | Design | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: Adobe Illustrator is one of the software tools I enjoy using most when I need to create precise graphic designs. In my creation and design work, I use it for logos, illustrations, icons, and various graphic elements. What I particularly like is the precision provided by vector graphics. > > **Cons**: It takes time to understand the tools and different functions. The subscription price can also be a significant investment for an independent creator. > > Illustrator provides an impressive level of control. I can work precisely on shapes, colors, typography, and small details. This is especially useful for professional projects that require a polished finish. ----- ### "The main vector illustration program out there." — 3.0/5 > **Clifford** | *21 February 2025* | Graphic Design Software | Recommendation rating: 5.0/10 > > **Pros**: Creates scalable vector artwork, which can then be imported into a number of other software application applications. > > **Cons**: Overcomplicated; earlier incarnations of illustrator were simpler to use. Too many functions available that I will personally never use as an illustrator. Not happy with having to pay annual subscription fee. > > I’ve been using Adobe illustrator for decades; since the 1990s. If I recall they bought out Aldus Freehand which was a far simpler and in my mind far better vector illustration program; I really miss Aldus Freehand - then again I am very old school. ----- ### "Best for Illustrative Design" — 5.0/5 > **Octavia** | *5 July 2026* | Graphic Design Software | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10 > > **Pros**: Adobe Illustrator is an industry-standard platform that allows for graphics creation. It has many features and recieves frequent updates, allowing for you to keep up to date with modern design. Great for creating illustrative graphics as well as drawings, due to the pen features, brush features and vectorization (allowing for a "sleek" or professional look). Very easy to use after watching simple tutorials or using the in app help. > > **Cons**: The app can occasionally experience glitches that cause it to become difficult to use and require you to reconfigure your workspace, though these are usually resolved easily by checking your in-app settings or restarting the program. ----- Page: 1 / 348\ Next: [Next page](https://www.capterra.co.il/software/1010286/adobe-illustrator?page=2) ## Links - [View on Capterra](https://www.capterra.co.il/software/1010286/adobe-illustrator) ## This page is available in the following languages | Locale | URL | | de | | | de-AT | | | de-CH | | | en | | | en-AE | | | en-AU | | | en-CA | | | en-GB | | | en-IE | | | en-IL | | | en-IN | | | en-NZ | | | en-SG | | | en-ZA | | | fr | | | fr-BE | | | fr-CA | | | fr-LU | | | ja | | | nl | | | nl-BE | | ----- ## Structured Data
