Marketeo engage – improve your customer engagement

4.0 last year

Comments: What I like most is its marketing automation feature, which streamlines our email campaigns and allows for in depth customer analysis. This means we can provide personalized content to each user, ensuring effective communication.

Pros:

I've been using Marketo Engage and it's been helpful for our email campaigns. This platform offers a variety of tools to properly target our audience, create emails with visually attractive landing pages and analyze the results of the campaign, this gives us a better visualization of performance. The best part is that it is quite intuitive, making it accessible to both new and advanced users.

Cons:

The cost can be high, which could be a concern for smaller businesses. Additionally, the wide range of features can be a bit daunting for newcomers as it takes some time to learn and get used to.

Basic Use Cases are Great. Integrations with other systems, - less so

3.0 last year

Comments: Basic use case has been great. Integrating with other systems - less so.

Pros:

Basic email marketing and marketing automation tasks can be accomplished with minimal assistance from the technical team.

Cons:

Pricing is by record in the DB, so you have to either pay for records that you are not doing anything with, or build a mechanism to move them in and out.Integrations with other systems are troublesome and rarely work as expected. For example, Microsoft Dynamics has a connector, but it only works if the record doesn't already exist in Marketo. Defining an audience in Dynamics for use in Marketo then has to be a hand-coded affair. Very annoying.

Bring it together again - market what you need to sell

4.0 5 months ago

Comments: I've used this program to provide visual analytics regarding our marketing in sales agendas in organization.

Pros:

Allowed us to create a really good visual of both are marketing and sales analytics and how they could align together in terms of numbers and expectations. It really brought some valuable insights to our team when we were using it.

Cons:

If you don't have all your resources and all your data in an easy and accessible location to bring into the program it will be difficult to set up in the beginning.

Can't go wrong with the best MAP - but you need to spend time getting it how you like it

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: I've been using Marketo for over 2 years and have managed multiple instances, including implementing a new one. It's been great to learn and use. I came from HubSpot and although I loved HubSpot, it was limited in it's capabilities because things are locked down to look "pretty" and work more out-of-the-box. What I say is Marketo is for the "big kids"/enterprise/B2B market and HubSpot is more for the SMB market. Marketo also does well integrating with Salesforce, whereas HubSpot's API integration is very locked down and limited.

Pros:

What can't Marketo do? Not much! It's the be-all-do-all tool. Tons of features and customization, integrations and functionality.

Cons:

If you are looking for a "pretty" software, don't look here. The interface is dated and harder to navigate if you don't know what you are doing. I always tell people that "Marketo is UGLY, but it's POWERFUL." What it trades for looks, it makes up for in functionality and customizations.

Marketo Engage Review

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, my experience with Marketo Engage was good. The platform provided a comprehensive suite of marketing automation tools that helped me streamline and optimize my marketing efforts. The ability to create personalized and targeted campaigns, coupled with in-depth analytics, allowed me to drive meaningful engagement with my audience. While there was a learning curve and the pricing could be a potential hurdle for some businesses, my overall experience with Marketo Engage was successful. It proved to be a valuable asset in enhancing my marketing strategies and achieving measurable results.

Pros:

One of the things I liked most about Marketo Engage was its comprehensive set of marketing automation features. It offered robust tools for creating and managing marketing campaigns, including email marketing, lead nurturing, and customer segmentation. The ability to automate workflows and personalize content based on customer behavior was highly beneficial. The platform also provided detailed analytics and reporting, allowing me to measure the effectiveness of my campaigns and make data-driven decisions. Overall, Marketo Engage empowered me to deliver targeted and engaging marketing experiences to my audience.

Cons:

While Marketo Engage had many strengths, one aspect I liked least was the learning curve associated with the platform. As a powerful marketing automation tool, it required some time and effort to fully understand and utilize its capabilities. The initial setup and configuration process could be complex, especially for users with limited technical expertise. Additionally, the pricing structure of Marketo Engage could be quite high, which might be a drawback for small businesses with limited marketing budgets.

Alternatives Considered:

An excellent Marketing Automation tool and very easy to use

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Marketo is expensive but if you want enterprise automation platform and you are heavily focused on automation its the platform to go. You should have one very good marketo expert but once the implementation is done properly it runs very smoothly.

Pros:

Marketo is easy to use once implemented well. The set-up, filters, data management etc is very intuitive and caters well to automate customer journey mapping, email marketing, lifecycle management, lead scoring etc. It is easily integratable with most CRM, other analytics tools, social media platforms etc. which makes it easy to build a unified martech stack.

Cons:

Marketo's analytics section has very limited customization. Unlike SFDC which is heavy on customization, the same is not possible on Marketo. If yo want to build dashboards etc. you need another tool which is also not very easy with all platforms. Additionally, while the helpdesk is responsive, customer service in general is not as great! They also don't come up with upgrades that often or atleast dont communicate it to customers. Its more self-help system here. Last but not the least, their trainings and certifications are super expensive.

Excellent for all businesses.

Pros:

Marketo Engage is a robust and easy-to-use digital marketing platform. It has a slew of automated and customizable features, as well as advanced lead generation and customer support. The system is simple to use and provides excellent feedback on marketing results.

Cons:

The complexity of the user interface and the lack of customization options bothered me. Some features appeared to be hidden or difficult to find as well. Furthermore, I discovered that the amount of data and metrics available was limited when compared to other marketing automation tools.

My personal reviews for Marketo Engage

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

I appreciated Marketo Engage's user-friendliness and clear interface. I was able to swiftly build and manage campaigns for my organization because it was easy to use and learn. The reporting tools also enabled me to monitor and evaluate my campaigns, which contributed to their success.

Cons:

The user interface was among the aspects of Marketo Engage that I disliked the most. It had a clumsy, disorganized feeling. It was also challenging to find what I was looking for quickly due to the navigation's slight complication. In addition, it was difficult to modify reports and dashboards, and the analytics and reporting features were not as extensive as I had planned.

The most complete and powerful marketing automation software!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: I use marketo as a consultant and I help and train my clients to get the best out of it. The tool is hard to use as the user interface is difficult to comprehend and take on on your own, but once you've got the proper training, the possibilities that the tool offer are endless! The greatest perk is probably the ability to integrate marketo with almost any other software, which really opens the possibilities and the variety of campaigns we can do as marketers, as well as tracking all our marketing performances.

Pros:

What I like most is the ability to create any marketing scenario with the freedom that marketo gives us in terms of automation. Also the ability to connect and integrate almost any tool with marketo, as well as the native Marketo-Salesforce CRM synchronisation.

Cons:

The user interface is quite difficult to take on on our own, and professional training is needed/recommended.

Comments: I'm now able to track leads all the way through the funnel and see what content is working and what isn't. I've also seen a lot more engagement with my content since implementing Marketo Engage.

Pros:

The feature that has had the most impact on my business is the ability to send automated emails personalized for each customer. The product is very easy to use, and I was able to integrate it with my existing business processes very easily.

Cons:

The Marketo Engage product is amazing and has a lot of features that can be difficult to use. However, with the help of their amazing customer service, I were able to overcome any obstacle and make Marketo Engage work for my business.

Marketo Engage for Online Education Marketing

3.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, it provides our marketing team with options to move their leads through the enrollment funnel, but, I wouldn’t recommend to a team with limited coding experience. Customer support can be hit or Miss with copy and past article responses that may not answer your question, but working directly with your CSM when a case is submitted provides for faster resolution.

Pros:

The ability to control specific Al details and changes within campaigns that guides lead pipeline and advertising behavior.

Cons:

Powerful analytics tools - leaves much to be desired. Also, must landing page template building capabilities for a marketer may require someone with at least a moderate understanding of HTML.

My experience with Marketo

4.0 7 years ago

Pros:

Marketo is a great marketing tool that allows automating repetitive marketing activities. I am using Marketo since 4 years. We use it to improve our lead generation process and we integrated Marketo with Salesforce. We are using Marketo Forms embedded on our website to get the personal information, track the activities done by leads and notify the sales reps. We are able to track campaigns (members are synced to Salesforce campaigns) and lead sources to measure effectiveness of marketing activities. We created a series of program templates that can be replicated to manage events, webinars, newsletters or email blastings. Cloning the templates all our marketers can start a new program easily customizing just the details, without errors and saving time. I want to mention a powerful feature that I use daily - smart lists - they allows to target a specific audience and continuously been fed with new members that match the criteria.

Cons:

- Integration with MS Dynamics: we started with MS dynamics CRM and the integration is not seamless as the integration with Salesforce. We had unresolved issues for 3 years until we decided to move our CRM to Salesforce. - Consulting Services: we started our project with direct Marketo consulting services but our project manager was not responsive and we had the impression that each PM had too many customers to manage and do not have the time to dedicate the right effort to each project. For this reason, we moved our project to an external consultant firm and the results are much better. - Support: the response time of the standard support is not quick and usually it takes some days to resolve it. - Landing pages: it is missing a validation workflow on the thank you pages (to be sure that those who will access the thank you page have successfully filled-out the form included in the landing page) - Reporting: the reports are very basics
