Cons:

It's a quick and efficient software.

Pros:

It has a lot of checks and balances that doesn't allow the user to make mistakes. It also shows the designer custom options they may not be aware of to give their client the best design solution possible. Once you learn the drop-down abbreviations and become proficient you can quickly create a quote for your client. New employees never exposed to the system are able to pick it up quite rapidly as it is extremely user-friendly. Our administrator has the ability to quickly fix any errors we might have made. The reports it generates allow us to give real-time information to our clients. The ability to review clients past purchases when adding items to their home is very helpful and selecting new furniture that will compliment what they have purchased in the past!

Cons:

There are times that the software is down. This can wreak havoc on our business. This may not be hey STORIS issue but rather an in-house Ethan Allen issue. We also recently moved locations. This required a new store code. The system was unable to blend the client base from the old store code to the new one requiring searching a customer's information in two different places. Not a significant hindrance.

Comments: Storis is great to work with - and I will recommend to anyone.

Pros:

I love how each item is tracked and the amount of reports.

Cons:

Hard to find specific things If you don’t know the right word. Save- too many times in an order Refunds/exchange payments complicated Order view removes what is delivered instead of maybe graying out or marked as delivered.

If you want a Time Machine Reminder of the terrible software of the 90's

Comments: Awful!

Pros:

There are none, except this is the best the furniture world has for software and they worship it. The software is so outdated it's like stepping back 30 years. .Terrible, clunky, slow and just pathetically behind. They say it's because furniture is difficult but I've run logistics and financing before in other organizations it's just that Furniture as a whole is a racket and they exploit customers and STORIS exploits the companies.

Cons:

Everything! It is slow, it looks and feels outdated. The company is so overly sensitive if you review them bad they withing days contact higher leadership in a conference call and demand retribution against employees of the organization who spoke out and they are overall. Not kidding had a review posted once and they wanted it taken down and me fired, the Vice president found me on LinkedIn shortly after my review went up. They're that petty cause they know they are slinging terrible and pathetic product. Furniture companies being cheap think they're getting top of the line (similar to what they tell their customers) when in reality they're getting a nice looking package with nothing inside for it to function properly. This product is a LEMON through and through STAY AWAY! Find a start up and invest as a company they will make something 10x better in months!

Comments: AAA Positive in all aspects. STORIS has increased our bottom line, inventory accuracy ratio, etc.

Pros:

I am the Controller and Operational Manager for a retail furniture and mattress company with multiple locations. I touch every aspect of our business, from accounting, inventory control, receivables, payables, point of sales, marketing, etc. STORIS is the best ERP software we have used in our 47 years in business. From inventory control, point of sale, receivables, payables, etc. STORIS is an excellent software. We have used STORIS since FY2020 and it has been a positive game changer for our company. The support and training availabilities at STORIS are excellent also.

Cons:

There are really no cons worth mentioning. There will never be a software that functions exactly like everyone wants it to function. Overall STORIS excels in every area.

Comments: I have been using STORIS for over 5 years. The one thing that has helped me the most is the personal assistance I receive every month from my client relations advocate. If she doesn't know the answer...she will get it and quickly. STORIS is a great store management system. It is definitely worth the time and investment.

Pros:

All-in-one processing for your store. From inventory management, delivery scheduling, to P.O.S. accounting and processing, everything you need. Daily. weekly or monthly reports. Order building and completion, STORIS has is all.

Cons:

Due to the vast array of system components, there is quite a bit to learn and get used to. but there is a great help section, tutorials, customer and tech support. There are also courses you can take that walk you through the different systems.

Comments: Overall I've been very happy with STORIS. Their service has always been great and the software is extremely robust and specially developed to meet the needs of the retailer.

Pros:

I've been a STORIS user now since 2008 and it provides a solid and robust foundation for all of our business needs. The platform provides a fully integrated top to bottom experience for our purchasing, sales, inventory, shipping and receiving and accounting needs. It keeps our operations super organized all the way through and provides our staff with the data they need to make decisions and keep customers serviced.

Cons:

The software platform called SCiX used to interact with the platform is a bit clunky and has a lot of inconsistencies and quirks. Once you are used to it these things are easy to overcome. It isn't glitchy, it works well when you know what to do, but the processes are often unintuitive and sometimes you have to jump through several screens to do simple actions.

Comments: We have been using Storis for over 3 years and the results are extremely good. All departments have been improved by Storis. We have had no problems with sales, daily receipt reports or inventory tracking. Our RF scanners work very well.

Pros:

Storis is very organized, the retail sales, cash reporting and inventory tracking work very well. We never have to backtrack to find lost transactions or invoices. The salespeople always can see very easily what happens to returns

Cons:

The reporting module, EIS works well for reporting sales but to download results it uses an older version of Excel. I would like more variety of inventory reporting.

Comments: Overall the experience has been great! STORIS has always addressed our operational & analytical needs, helps us to achieve efficiency in our warehouse which in turn helps to streamline processes, improve customer communications and increase profitability.

Pros:

STORIS has an all-inclusive CRM that provides a great point of sale process, inventory control, logistical scheduling, seamless delivery management. I like the fact that the STORIS team has always been able to meet or go beyond our needs with support and custom programming.

Cons:

Can be somewhat expensive, but a great return on the investment.

Comments: Capel has looked at some alternative POS systems, but we keep coming back to Storis for many reasons. The multiple fulfillment options, pre-approval sales, direct ship PO generated within the sales order. The list goes on and then on top of that we receive excellent customer service from [sensitive content hidden] and the Storis staff.

Pros:

The customer service is excellent. We are assigned a client representative, ours is [sensitive content hidden], and he calls and checks in with us often. He is always available to assist us with any issues. I appreciate him and knowing Capel has someone who helps bridge between us and Storis. The tech help is also very kind and usually quick to respond to cases.

Cons:

Sales orders are paid in full at the time of entry and can have different fulfillment methods. This can cause a single sales order to complete at different times, not necessarily all items at once. This can cause an adjustment in the sales tax applied, often making it appear as if the customer owes more money. The ticket cannot complete with the amount due, and certainly we cannot contact our customers asking for more money.

Comments: STORIS is a long-term partnership and seen as a vital part of our IT infrastructure and we have run our business on it for 20 years. You can grow your applications as your business demands grow.

Pros:

It is highly scalable. We enjoy the ability to create customizable solutions, and to run fully integrated processes. We use STORIS as an ERP, CXM, financial reporting tool and website interface. The ecosystem is supported by a comprehensive support library and active team to help at all levels. The ability to adopt new applications as our business evolves is a key advantage; STORIS can integrate with a lot of 3rd party solutions.

Cons:

There are some complexities in accessing all front end and setting up routines where experience and training can go a long way, which is supported by the extensive training library and responsive support team.

Comments: It has been great. Much better than products we had previously used. We are very pleased with it.

Pros:

It helps streamline our business operations. Storis' commitment to customer service with follow up phone calls and assistance is greatly appreciated. It seems that Storis is constantly growing and updating their products to adapt to business challenges.

Cons:

Any system you just have to learn the prompts, but the use of the tab key for enter took some time to adjust. We deal with with selling yardage of fabric. It would me nice to work in fractions whereas Storis limits us to whole numbers.

Great Service After the Sale

Comments: I have embraced using Storis - I'm in it virtually all the time. [sensitive content hidden] calls me on a regular schedule to find out how things are going and if I have any questions/concerns. The best part of that is she takes my questions seriously and finds answers or how-to's for anything that I've brought up.

Pros:

Converting to Storis was like coming into the modern age. We finally were able to keep track of inventory, make sales, write services, etc without using handwritten charts. Maybe it wasn't that bad, but it seemed like a huge improvement.

Cons:

About the only thing I don't like is that it seems to take a lot of clicks to achieve my goal. This is because Storis gives options and wants to make sure I'm not taking the wrong route and making a mistake.
