Keep your Microsoft account safe

Comments: I am just beyond satisfied when it comes to Microsoft authenticator. I totally recommend it to anyone who has a Microsoft account, it will keep your account safe and secure.

Pros:

Before Microsoft authenticator, I relied on just a password, I went to log into my Microsoft account one day and I was hacked, I finally regained access to my account and I immediately downloaded Microsoft authenticator and It has been the best thing ever. It sends notifications straight to my phone if my Microsoft account is attempted to be logged into and if it's not me I just have to hit deny.

Cons:

The interface can be tricky and confusing if you don't know what you're doing.

Comments: It's a good feeling l knowing that I can be at peace without my important restricted files being hacked

Pros:

That it's very secure and I don't have to worry about my passwords being breached and or hacked

Cons:

I haven't found anything that I dislike in the whole time I have used it.

Comments: I use this in my daily work and personal activities and happy to use this even 100 times in a day.

Pros:

One of the best MFA apps. easy to register and use. very handy and a must in the cyberworld

Keeps my Info Safe!

Comments: My overall experience with Microsoft Authenticator has been positive. It gives me the piece of mind that all of my accounts and data will be safe. I no longer have to change my passwords every few weeks to make sure my accounts are secure. Microsoft Authenticator does a great job of making sure my data will never be accessed by unwatched people.

Pros:

Microsoft Authenticator is a great program to will keep all of your accounts safe and secure. With all your information online, attackers will eventually try to steal your information and data. With Microsoft Authenticator, you won't have to worry about that. It's very easy to set up and gives you many different options to verify your identity. I always make sure to set up Microsoft Authenticator with every program or website that offers it. I like that you can verify your identity by a text message, a phone call, through email, and other devices. This is a must-have if you value your data and privacy.

Cons:

I have been using Microsoft Authenticator for a few years now. Once in a while, I will ask to verify my identity by receiving a text message. When I do this, it occasionally gives me an error and won't allow me to do it. When this happens, the other options do work though.

Comments: I love it, as the Co-CEO of our fairly new company, it has helped us so much, and kept our software safe!

Pros:

I like that the authenticator is easy to use and immediately prompts you do accept or decline a login attempt when it is detected. It also is very versitile and can be used for many, many services.

Cons:

The only thing that is... less good, with Microsoft Authenticator is that it is harder to set up, atleast for the other services offered beside authentication.

Good Authenticator for Microsoft Applications

Comments: I like the secure it is for my Microsoft account, but i think it just works for Microsoft applications

Pros:

I use it on my mobile and I like that can be locked by fingerprint to open the app, then you can access to the verification code

I can not use it with other applications or software

The real authenticator tool

Comments: The Microsoft Authenticator app is a joy to use. With speedy responses within the app and the auth code only shows once you go into the account which avoids confusion between different account codes. It integrates well with other Microsoft products and its free!

Pros:

The app is free; Integrates well with other Microsoft products; The option of biometric authentication to enter the app is a bonus; it is very easy to use and reliable.

Cons:

The accounts can be buggy, ive had instances where i needed to re-add an account because i stopped getting the codes; Sometimes the codes expire too quickly; The security code is not hidden

Comments: Overall, it is a good platform for easy and secure two-factor authentication.

Pros:

Microsoft Authenticator has a user-friendly interface and is easy to use. It works both iOS and android and makes two-factor authentication easy. We can easily approve a sign-in with just a tap.

Cons:

Microsoft Authenticator doesn't have the desktop app so everything has to be done through the mobile app, which can be inconvenient if you're working on a computer. Push notifications can sometimes be delayed.

Essential application for secure multifactor login

Comments: Essential application for secure multifactor login. It gives notifications if any unauthorized or suspicious login is found

Pros:

The mobile app for authenticator allows to enable multi factor authentication and without approving the login request on the app it prevents unauthorized login making it very secure

Cons:

If your mobile device containing the authenticator app is lost or reset, setting up the authenticator app is a very complex process which involves removing the device in your Microsoft account and then reregistering it

Microsoft Makes Security Easy!

Comments: Overall the experience has been great. We love the added security, the usability, and password management features. Our staff are comfortable using the platform and find it beneficial.

Pros:

I like how easy to use the platform is. Microsoft enables our staff to manage passwords, securely log in using the authenticator, and gives our company an extra level of comfort knowing we are secure.

Cons:

I like everything about the platform to be honest. I have used other authenticators that over-complicated the process, and impacted our HR team by receiving many inquires and questions.

My go-to tool for multi-factor authentication

Comments: It has been very good. I set up accounts, use them, thats it. No fuss or having to redo things. Moving to a new mobile phone is also easy and straightforward with the instructions they provide.

Pros:

The map that shows where the request is coming from (if enabled and supported) password-less option for Microsoft 365 easy to set up multiple M365 accounts easy to set up non-Microsoft accounts works reliably and quickly, I've never had an issue where it stopped working. Easy to deploy to our staff.

Cons:

They disabled the Apple Watch integration that allowed you to approve a login from your Apple Watch. The backup process requires you have a personal Microsoft Account. I would like to back up to my enterprise account.

Good for 2FA, needs to improve mobile experience

Pros:

It's an easy-to-set-up and use tool for any business that needs 2FA. Without excessive tech knowledge it can be ready to use in minutes; so a great tool for companies who need to have 2FA for further security whose employees are not all tech geeks. Its "remember" feature comes in handy as well, as no matter how easy, it's still a bother to go through 2FA every time you log into a platform, especially when you're in a hurry.

Cons:

It randomly logs you out from time to time, not much of a deal as it's very easy to log back in. But; the real issue is the mobile experience. If you're trying to log into an app on your mobile device, where you also have your Authenticator set up, you have to switch between platforms. And sometimes, the pop-up where you type the code comes right on top of the verification code display screen, which disables you from seeing the code in the first place. So you're basically stuck at that point. Sometimes the code appears a few seconds before the type pop-up, in that case, and if you're quick, no problem with sign-on.

Authentication Integrated Nicely With Your Office 365

Comments: We have been using the Microsoft Authenticator application and feature in Office 365 for years to secure our logins. It was worked reliably and has enabled us to be compliant. It is easy to manage for administrators and users have had no issue setting up.

Pros:

We are able to enforce the users Authentication with Microsoft Authenticator. It works at securing our user sign ins with the mobile app they use to confirm the authentication process. It is easy to manage from the Office 365 Administrator console.

Cons:

The single sign on feature can be difficult for it to work with other applications. The support from Microsoft and the product is more costly than other options.

Security taken seriously

Pros:

I like that the security is taken seriously and it makes it harder for scammers to get into documentation

Cons:

The app is flawless. Everything works as it should

The price is fairly expensive. And sometimes, my accounts can be lost due to strong protection.

Pros:

The app uses time-based one-time passwords to generate temporary codes that expire after a short period. This adds an extra layer of security because even if your password is compromised, an attacker would also need the current code from the Authenticator app to access your account.

Cons:

The app is primarily a mobile app, and its functionality is tied to your mobile device. If you lose access to your mobile device or it becomes unusable, you may face difficulties in accessing your accounts secured with the app.

Microsoft Authenticator in the workplace

Pros:

I often have a message sent to my mobile for verification if I am using a different computer than usual, I then use the number sent to log on. I like the safety feature, I feel that my email is very safe and private.

Cons:

I guess the way it works means I have to use my mobile in order to verify, luckily I always have my mobile with me.

The only difficulty we faced is to reset the authenticator when somenthing is not working, but it's a very rare case.

Comments: Overall my experience with Microsoft Authenticator has been positive. Fortunately I haven't had anyone try to access my accounts that shouldn't be, but having the authenticator has given me piece of mind that it is less likely to happen.

Pros:

Microsoft authenticator has made keeping my accounts safe very easy. I have started using it for work purposes and personal purposes. It reassures me someone else is unable to access my accounts as it creates the short time pass code for the second authentication factor.

Cons:

It is tough to say what I dislike about the authenticator. Sometimes I find the random code expires slightly too quickly however this might be necessary for safety reasons in which case it is something I can deal with.
