Comments: I am a very long time Visio user and I have always loved it.

Pros:

Visio is a very simple tool to learn and to use.

Cons:

Really, this is a product I have nothing negative to say about.

Visio worked great but I don't know better

Comments: Overall Visio was great to use. It was very intuitive and I would be happy to use it again.

Pros:

I was able to easily jump into using Microsoft Visio. I had never used it before before working at LBC and they are a MS company. So Visio was my option. I liked it and was happy to use it.

Cons:

Visio being a Microsoft program seems a tiny bit behind the rest of the industry in terms of innovations. It's rock solid but not cutting edge.

Powerful Diagramming Tool

Comments: I use it to create my customer's Data Center view. It's incredibly helpful, offering high-definition stencils and great zoom capabilities. Additionally, its user-friendly interface and numerous options and integrations make it easy to use.

Pros:

Visio's key advantages include its user-friendly interface, high-definition stencils, extensive template library, seamless integration with Microsoft Office.

Cons:

Cost could be a drawback, along with performance issues on laptops with lower configurations.

Great, but Patience Required

Comments: Pretty great! I do wish I didn't struggle as much with the lag though.

Pros:

The icons were really great! They were split into clear and easy to understand categories. The ability to remove and add the visibility of the categories, made it a lot easier to stay focused on what I'm trying to do.

Cons:

It was pretty laggy and slow, I think it may be because it's an older application, but much like Sway there were times it was being difficult.

Highly intuitive software to create breakdown structures

Comments: It has been very useful to determine the preliminary workflows for the scheduling process and creating work breakdown structures and organizational breakdown structures.

Pros:

It is highly intuitive to use, as it is shares the same interface style as the other Microsoft Office Suite products. When a change is made to a workflow, it is easily adaptable, as the connections automatically pulls any related step.

Cons:

Sometimes, Visio can create connections where it is not wanted. There should be an option to lock items to prevent Visio from creating unnecessary connections.

Visio Helps Everyone

Pros:

Simple to use diagramming tool for all infrastructure, documentation, and project management needs.

Cons:

The shape theming and overall color customization takes a few minutes to get used to, but is easy to perform once known.

Tools to generate diagrams and graphs in a few steps

Comments: Excellent tools to easily develop graphs, flowcharts, among others.

Pros:

The large collection of shape and image templates that allows you to generate diagrams and flows customized to your needs and taste.

Cons:

The default forms cannot be modified or colors applied that we would like to adapt.

Visio makes flow charts easy

Comments: My overall experience with Visio has been good. I use it mostly for making flow charts, both for professional and personal amusement purposes.

Pros:

What I like the most about Visio is that I can easily make org charts, flow charts, etc.

Cons:

What I like least about Visio is the cost.

Clear and Practical for Critical Path Planning

Comments: Visio works well for visualising processes in buying. It provides clarity and keeps teams organised, but it could be more intuitive for fast-paced environments.

Pros:

Visio is great for mapping the critical path in buying. It clearly lays out each stage, making it easier to identify delays and stay on schedule.

Cons:

Some of the tools feel clunky and take too long to use. This slows things down, which isn’t ideal when working under retail deadlines.

Productive Tool to give shape to data.

Comments: In general, I am satisfied with this solution. For my particular use, it permits us to easily visualize the data through the diagrams in order to make better managerial decisions. Also, it helps systematize processes and operating procedures through the flowcharts.

Pros:

Being a product of the Microsoft suite, it was easy to learn to use Visio. It had a large library of diagrams and flowchart templates to choose from as a starting point. Making customizations was also straightforward. I could drag and drop different shapes and link them easily.

Cons:

Some members of the team used Mac OS as an operating system. It was not as good as the Windows experience. Also, it depends a lot on other Microsoft solutions. It's not the software you use on its own. Lastly, when I upload a large amount of data, it takes quite a while to process.

Frequent Visio User Review

Pros:

I like how easy it is to use Visio out of the box. If you are familiar with LucidCharts or Adobe Illustrator, I view it more like LucidCharts. You have templates and other visual elements are your fingertips to build meaningful diagrams. If you integrate Visio with other Microsoft suite

Cons:

Nothing. The only con I would add is that if you are working collaboratively, it makes sense if other stakeholders are integrated into the Microsoft environment.

I Use it to create network diagrams, great tool to analyze

Comments: I like to use it when i need to analyze the network diagram when I have to make changes or add something else.

Pros:

can manage the stencils, connections and other data to have documented for audits or future information

Cons:

some brands doesn't have their own stencils to download, so i have to create them.

Drawing with Clarity

Comments: Visio delivers when I need it to. Especially in my background as a project manager, the ability to not have a learning curve when creating flowcharts to illustrate relationship concepts is invaluable. Especially when talking about things such as swim lanes for projects or processes, clarity is vital. Visio provides that user-friendly clarity.

Pros:

For years, this has been my default tool for creating flowcharts, diagrams and organization charts. There have even been times I've created a process flow using this tool. In my mind, this is simply the standard. One thing I'd point out is the toolset which is default and has been for ages allows for the tool to be revisited at any time and quickly picked up again. Of course they add features & functionality, but I enjoy the consistent accessibility.

Cons:

Visio has , in my usage of it, very little downside. The reason I say this is because I approach it with a very specific purpose. Many other tools can have a depth of application, or possible application, which can muddy the waters on their overall value. Visio is extremely good at what it does.

I use Visio Everyday

Pros:

i use this software for almost 7 years, i find it super easy to use, such as tools. I can make layout, flow process, flow mamagement, busniness process in Visio with shape whatever i wanted. Overall, Visio help me a lot to finish my job.

Cons:

Struglle to connect arrow between 2 shapes or more

Visio - Takes a little getting used to at first

Comments: Overall, it's still a great app that I will continue to use. I like the layout of the software and the overall function of it. It has helped me multiple times with the ideas that I have had for the company I work for, and I'm sure it will continue to do so.

Pros:

Great tool for visualizing complex ideas. Can draw on mobile version. You can collaborate with teammates and coworkers which I enjoy. Wireframes can help all involved arrive at a team consensus.

Cons:

The cost. It can be a little expensive for what you get out of it. It can be difficult to learn at first as well.

Precise & Professional Flow Diagrams

Comments: I suggest several training classes for beginners because of Visio’s complex user interface and steep learning curve. But the benefits far outweigh the work to learn the product. Once ingrained, I found I cannot live without Visio in my working life. There is no other software that compares. I can create professional-looking business process flowcharts, as simple or complex as my clients request. The level of precision I can integrate into each Visio diagram helps my clients understand where they can make process improvements.

Pros:

Visio gives the end-user a multitude of diagramming options and detailed customizations, making it an invaluable tool for creating detailed business or technical flow diagrams.

Cons:

Visio’s pricing structure is geared toward enterprise users. Individual entrepreneurs and small businesses may find they do not have the budget.

Sturdy, well adopted, versatile for simple or complex projects

Comments: Overall Microsoft Visio is great for whatever your needs may be whether it be simple or more complex and advanced it has the flexibility and capabilities, it has been quite helpful over the years.

Pros:

Microsoft Visio has always been a good easy to use vector and diagramming application with good compatibility. Easy to create mockups or map out your ideas without a lot of overhead.

Cons:

Microsoft Visio has come along way over the years and evolved to be able to do more advanced diagrams and layouts, add rules and a streamlined validation process and with everything integrated into Microsoft's ecosystem it's easy to edit and share with others.

Comments: I use Visio for more advanced diagrams to include them in documentation.

I don't like that Visio is a separate program, and when I'm working on a table in Word, I have to switch between the two applications. It would be great if Visio were more integrated into Word in some way.

It is feature packed with pretty much all use cases you would need especially for software development life cycle

It’s an expensive product to use especially with much cheaper alternatives out there that might not do everything but is good enough for saving a lot

Quick and Professional

Comments: When I need an org chart quickly, I can open it and create a professional looking org chart in minutes.

Pros:

I can prepare an org chart quickly that looks professional and clean.

Cons:

When I copy/paste the org chart into PPT, it sometimes captures more of the background than just the org chart itself and I can't seem to release the background.

An efficient tool for diagrams

Comments: I use Visio often when looking to communicate a technical process with non-technical co-workers or clients. Sometimes it's difficult to fit everything into a PowerPoint slide, so I rely on Visio when needing to create something much more detailed. Visio is also easier to create flows than you can with objects on PowerPoint.

Pros:

Visio is a great tool for creating diagrams and other types of visuals to communicate technical processes in ways that other Microsoft products like Word and PowerPoint can't quite offer.

Cons:

The number of features can be overwhelming, I recommend consulting professionals or online tutorials to get a complete understanding of the possibilities.

Comments: I have been using Visio from 7 to 8 years now. I has been very helpful over the years.
My presentations have improved and had beed informative.
I easier to expain the customers in a better graphical manner.

Pros:

Visio is a very good diagramming tool. Makes life and work easy. Extremely helpful in presentations. It has strong collection of diagramming tools and Flowcharts is also supported in the basic version.

Cons:

A bit expensive and trial version has limitations.

Great workflow management tool

Comments: This is definitely a good software for manufacturers with the process visualization and data management. It also helped us out with our org chart. All in real time

The templates available and the data visualization that you get from them are top notch.

Cons:

It is a tad bit spendy but at the same time well worth it.
