The easiest zero-trust platform there is

4.0 11 months ago

Comments: The process for onboarding was amazing. The account manager, implementation specialist, and cyber hero’s have been wonderful. They listened to me and helped get our tenant set up exactly as we need.

Pros:

For my environment, the platform works great and is being to secure our endpoints. It does require a lot of work to maintain, but if done properly it is extremely useful.

Cons:

It can be extremely technical. Be sure to take the training available in the University.

Amazing Product - Shoutout to [sensitive content hidden]

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: Fantastic, great product. Has increased our Security Posture business wide, has left me feeling so much more confident about the security of our infrastructure & endpoints.

Pros:

First of all the Service provided by Threatlocker (In my case [sensitive content hidden] who is an excellent engineer - who really took the time to understand our needs and really understands the product). The implementation is always my worry with these types of tools, the implementation has been seamless due to the learning process. Combine [sensitive content hidden] on the implementation side with the Cyber Heroes quick response time this is a great end to end product.

Cons:

Alerting on Threats, this is being really picky. But more specific alerting on threats with embedded information would be great.

Alternatives Considered: Arctic Wolf Managed Security Awareness

Reasons for Switching to ThreatLocker: Threatlocker demonstrated stronger depth in terms of the team, i also enjoyed my experience with the sales person [sensitive content hidden]. I never felt like i was being miss sold. Everybody i dealt with has been responsive, the engagement felt personal. The product itself adds a ton of value to my business, but it also most importantly in comparison to other products doesn't try to be everything to everyone. A more focused approach in the software's scope of features allows for a more defined and thought feature set.

ThreatLocker is a great first line of defense

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall, this is a great and trusted first line of defense.

Pros:

As a large corporation, it is imperative to have cybersecurity to keep us safe from cyber threats. ThreatLocker provides us safety as a first line of defense against ransomware and vulnerability attacks. The feature I like most about ThreatLocker is the allowlisting feature. If it is not on the "allow" list, it will block it.

Cons:

It is not a complete threat detection software as it does not include E-mails or webcam threat detection

Awesome software with awesome support

5.0 3 months ago

Pros:

As an MSP, ThreatLocker is a major tool in our security stack. I have used\tested a lot of security services in the past, but ThreatLocker is the best for the money I have found. It gives us a large amount of insight and control over devices which makes it hard to pick a favorite part about ThreatLocker. The product is awesome, but I really want to say my favorite part is the people behind it. You are assigned a Solutions Engineer to help guide you through the process of deployment/configuration. They are an amazing resource that I have never gotten with any other product. Usually, software companies just drop you into the portal, show you a few things, then you never hear from them again. Additionally, the support experience is the best I have ever seen with any software company. They are very knowledgeable, quick (under 5 minutes), and always available via chat. The MDR team also helps us have peace of mind that our devices are safe and secured with an action plan we set, even when we are away.

Cons:

ThreatLocker is a robust solution. It can be very daunting to get started and comes with a time commitment to learn\configure. I could see how some companies could struggle getting through that phase, but it is worth it.

Alternatives Considered: AutoElevate and Huntress

Reasons for Choosing ThreatLocker: We needed more insight into devices as we could see trends of legitimate software being used maliciously. Application whitelisting was the fix for this.

Switched From: Bitdefender GravityZone

Reasons for Switching to ThreatLocker: ThreatLocker just made more sense for the price.

Admins -- ThreatLocker will help you sleep better!

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: Our overall experience has been excellent. We use ThreatLocker on all of our servers and as many user endpoints as we can. It stops users in their tracks from installing random software or extensions that we do not approve of in our organization.

Pros:

[sensitive content hidden] on of the solutions engineers is super knowledgeable. He know his way around ThreatLocker like it was the back of his hand. I like how comprehensive it is and how much tweaking can be done for apps and other settings. ThreatLocker definitely helps me sleep better at night.

Cons:

It is so comprehensive that it is a world unto itself, which means that it takes some learning to be able to make use of the tweaking.

Alternatives Considered: Falcon

Reasons for Switching to ThreatLocker: Pricing, reputation, and the features were the two biggest reasons we chose ThreatLocker.

Threatlocker, easier than everyone said it would be!

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: Overall ThreatLocker has been a fantastic addition to our stack.
Several MSPs warned me about the complexity of implementing TL properly, they were wrong. With the help of the Cyber Heros teams we've deployed it to over 2000 endpoints without any significant issues.

Pros:

The depth of features, especially the elevation and storage control, and the rapid and detailed response from the SOC team.

Cons:

I wish I could purchase it via Pax8 to help with license reconciliation

Alternatives Considered: Huntress

Reasons for Choosing ThreatLocker: We wanted to implement a SOC for our clients, and I wanted to work with a company who was accessible in our industry.

Switched From: SentinelOne

Reasons for Switching to ThreatLocker: The Elevation features in TL we a must from my Managed Services team

Damn Good Product!

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: Threatlocker has been a great addition to our security stack, and we recommend it to anyone reading this review. Rarely do we find a vendor who works with us to get the best out of their product more than Threatlocker. We are huge fans.

Pros:

ThreatLocker's default-deny approach effectively locks down our environment by proactively protecting our endpoints. Every two weeks, our reps meet with us, offering insights and assistance that make them feel like an extension of our team. Due to ThreatLocker's protection, we don't require additional MDR or XDR solutions, making it an efficient and effective way to keep our organization secure.

Cons:

It's true that ThreatLocker requires a bit of a learning curve to become proficient with it, however, it's certainly not an insurmountable hurdle and it's definitely worth taking the time to become familiar with the platform. Our TL reps are always available for any questions or assistance we need, and they always go the extra mile to ensure we understand the platform.

A+ Product and Team!

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: Threatlocker has been a fantastic addition to our defense-in-depth strategy for our clients and we are very happy with the tool. The onboarding process painless with the help of the Threatlocker's learning mode and the Threatlocker team, you'll have a pretty solid baseline application whitelist within a couple weeks. The onboarding/success team are very thorough and attentive, and they meet with you as often as you need them to, and they continue meeting with you regularly to make sure everything is going well. They truly care about your use of their tool and they want to make sure you're using it in the most secure way. Their on-demand support is top notch as well with quick response to live chat and their willingness to hop on video call to assist with whatever is needed. I would recommend Threatlocker to anyone who cares about security of their organization.

Pros:

The onboarding process is painless, with the help of learning mode and the Threatlocker team.

Cons:

Honestly- nothing comes to mind The team at Threatlocker are so willing to teach you and guide you through the process that it made this software a nobrainer.

Zero Trust Security

4.0 3 weeks ago New

Pros:

I love the zero trust model that they use, as well as the ease of deployment and deployment management. The storage management is also fairly robust.

Cons:

There is an extremely steep learning curve for policy management, which maybe tricky for non savvy users. This can also introduce policy errors as a result of improper use.

Excellent Security Solution with Exceptional Technical Support

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: When implemented patiently and correctly, ThreatLocker can be seamlessly integrated into an MSP security stack without increasing support tickets or end-user dissatisfaction. ThreatLocker is a highly effective application allow-listing solution backed by exceptional technical support. ThreatLocker's features and responsive support make it a solution that we will continue to use to safeguard our customers from mayhem caused by supply chain attacks, user ignorance, or compromises of our tools used to manage our customers.

Pros:

ThreatLocker is a comprehensive application allow-listing security solution that offers protection against cyber threats while providing a seamless user experience. My experience with ThreatLocker has been particularly positive, largely due to the outstanding technical support they offer. The software onboarding hero ([sensitive content hidden]) was knowledgeable and completely understood all aspects of the software

Cons:

Adopting new technologies or software such as Threatlocker has a long learning curve. A Significant amount of time and effort is required by all to become proficient and master this cybersecurity tool. The extended learning period can pose challenges such as reduced productivity, frustration, and increased training costs.

Skycomp Solutions trusts ThreatLocker

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: Our team is happy to be with ThreatLocker!

Pros:

ThreatLocker is a very reliable product that our company has been using for a while. It has successfully caught numerous threats and prevented us from falling victim to various cyber attacks.

Cons:

ThreatLocker can be quite sensitive when downloading content from the internet, even from trusted websites. I often need to submit a ticket and wait for team approval. Sometimes it disrupts my workflow because I have to wait for an approval. However, given the statistics, the extra steps are worth it.

Brian Hamilton Review

Comments: Great experience with TL working for two different orgs. The implementation is easy and it is easy how to explain the workers to clients.

Pros:

I like that it is a different approach to security. I like that it can be its own security software.

Cons:

There is one thing I do not like about the new site. The computers section you can only group by 500 where it was 1000 before.

Excellent addition to our tech stack

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: From the begining the product works as advertised, and they delivered exactly as promised during the sales cycle.

Pros:

The product works as advertised and they are a great partner to work with. On-boarding was a truly great experience. We met with the TL team weekly to go through our individual client needs and this helped with seamless deployment to over 3000 endpoints. The cyber hero managers are very prompt to remediate any end user requests.

Cons:

There are not that many negatives and none really worth mentioning. I would like little more analytics specifically around the cyber hero manager's response and resolution rates.

Best customer service of any platform.

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: No issues so far, and when an issue does arise, the support are there instantly to help. No bots, just people.

Pros:

The software is incredible, but what is better is the customer support. From the moment you pop a message in to the live chat, you will be speaking to someone within 30 seconds, and can even hop in a Zoom call if that is better for the issue at hand. Phenomenal.

Cons:

The wording of some of the features could be reworked / explained better. For example removing the protection from a device isn't just a case of highlighting the asset and pressing "delete" or "disable protection". Neither of these features actually remove the protection.

ThreatLocker is an invaluable tool and incredible company

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: From my initial conversations with the team at ThreatLocker, to on-boarding, roll-out and ongoing support, it has been one of the most pleasant vendor experiences I have had in a really longtime.

Pros:

There are new threats coming out daily. ThreatLocker helps add an important layer of security and brings system one step closer to protection from these new threats. ZeroTrust is not a new concept but ThreatLocker made it accessible to all businesses, big or small. I also have to say that the team at ThreatLocker have been amazing to work with and I wish other vendors would be as partner support focused.

Cons:

Honestly there are not a ton of cons. The process to implement ZeroTrust can be a bit more involved than most realize, and ThreatLocker does have some of those challenges too. However the platform is designed in a way and has features to help streamline that process and end user experience. Backed by amazing support.

This is how MSP's sleep at night

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: The product training and onboarding is exceptional. ThreatLocker goes the extra mile to be sure you understand the product and are deploying it successfully. The software works. It will stop anything and everything that either isn't allowed to run or it doesn't recognize.

Pros:

There isn't anything about ThreatLocker I don't like. From the Ring Fencing to Allow Listing to Elevation control, it keeps users from doing things they shouldn't be while allowing what you need to run, run. I sleep at night knowing that some random software can't run on a client environment and cause an incident.

Cons:

Threatlocker is not a set it and forget it product. They can however use their internal CyberHero's to make it easier for you. It's just an extra cost.
