About Notion
Notion is a workspace for notes, tasks, and strategic planning, with tools for collaboration and project management.
Furthermore, there are plenty of tutorials provided by Notion and they have an excellent support team. They really hear what the users ask and they frequently implement the requested features.
Without recurring tasks and less task-oriented features it was a tough call to make. I wanted it to work so badly.

Awesome product for companies
Comments: Amazing, I really enjoy using it and they add a lot of new content
Pros:
Is easy to use and has a loot of documentation and tutorials. Is easy to search things and has a lot of things to write custom stuff. Mobile app.
Cons:
Maybe, as a QA Engineer, I didnt have a lot of tools to add test scenarios, which makes sense, but will be nice to add everything in one place
Notion standout features and integrations.
Comments: Notion has good chat feature within the system with multiple integrations this making it easy in task management.
Pros:
Notion offers many customizable templates for quick set up. With Notion you can assign tasks to individual team members and set due dates for everyone to know what they need to do and when. Has collaboration tools which makes us to work effectively and communicate perfectly while working on projects.
Cons:
May not be best for scalability, but it has been so helpful.
Alternatives Considered:
Great product, but gets messy fast.
Comments: When set up well, Notion is great. But it does require a lot of maintenance and upkeep to stop it from becoming really messy.
Pros:
The design of the software is excellent and the user interface is very pleasant. This makes it easy to use on a regular basis, which is essentially for a piece of software like this.
Cons:
Notion can get too complicated too quickly, and they also pulled over $800 worth of credits on my account with no explanation or notice. That's what made me stop using the product in the end.
Great for Startups, not sure about Mature Businesses
Comments: The way we used it at the startup I was working remotely at was kind of like a complete workplace with all the documents and various functions and projects loaded on there. I think this works well for a small team, but I don't think its super scalable without some serious forethought and planning, and likely some kind of "Notion Consultant" to help organise things.
Pros:
Notion has a lovely layout with the left sidebar containing all the different pages, projects, tasks, etc. A little silly, but I love that we can add banners and emojis to the title and make the "virtual workplace" our own. Its great to be able to integrate other apps into Notion. We added our Gdrive, Slack, and Figma into the space and it functioned well. There are also ways to share specific pages with guests, and its possible to have private pages, separate from the team.
Cons:
As lovely as the layout is, our Notion became cluttered and messy fast because we didn't quite know where to add what (e.g. tasks, projects, pages, etc.). It takes quite a bit of knowledge and forethought to organise a team around it. I also don't like that there are very limited fonts and typography. So anything that we export to PDF doesn't look part of our brand and we have to re-do it on another software. Also, when we embed documents in our pages, we don't quite have the same visibility (i.e. we have to click on a specific page to see what documents are linked to it). Maybe that's the way its intended to be, but I found it a little annoying and often just used Gdrive instead.
Great tool for productivity
Pros:
I liked the interface of the notion. It is easy to use and navigate, as it is intuitive. I like that I can adapt to it in such a short time. Also I like that they provide templates for new users who might be struggling to design their own interface at first.
Cons:
The biggest thing that I disliked about Notion is that most of the functions work only when I am online. It is hard to use and hard to access in situations when I am offline.
The best collaboration and project management tool
Comments: Notion has been crucial for us on a team level as well as a company level, we use it for collaboration, project management, and internal documentation I would recommend this tool to everyone
Pros:
Notion is a very complete tool, the use cases are unlimited and the product itself is great, in four years we haven't had any issues or bugs
Cons:
The learning curve can be quite steep and confusing, but that's expected for such a complex product
Great tools in a single application
Comments: It allows me to work more flexibly with a platform that adapts to the daily needs of my work and I can design my own work style
Pros:
The platform is very interactive and allows you to design a more organized and personalized workflow with the multiple tools it has. With the help of AI, you can generate better ideas for carrying out projects. I also like that I can share any type of information with my team and be able to work together more easily
Cons:
I like everything, there is nothing that causes me problems
All-in-one tool, light-weight, always works. Must to have for statups.
Pros:
It's all in one, it's a kind of Wikipedia in my current organization. Highly responsive, light-weight, bug-free, great search functionality, and it's a all-in-one tool. Must to have for the startups or big businesses.
Cons:
Need more feature related to the task management, focus mode, task tracking features or dashboard must be there in order to make it a super app.
Journaling & Budgeting With Notion
Comments: My overall experience with Notion has been positive as it has allowed me to document and journal several different aspects such as my budget, trading notes and personal psychology.
Pros:
What I like most about Notion is the journaling templates available for use and how quickly one can start using the software.
Cons:
What I like least about Notion is that the emojis make the notes look a bit childish and not so professional.
Notion - knowledge sharing for the masses
Comments: I absolutely love notion, whether if for personal use or at work, notion always give me the best experience when it comes to knowledge sharing.
Pros:
It's UI, ease of use, abundance of features.
Cons:
can be overwhelming at first for non tech-savvy people.
Alternatives Considered:
A more doesn't mean always a better
Comments:
Like many others: I am a migrant-from-evernote-to-notion user.
So I really feel a difference. Evernote become with time a boring routine. You ended up konwing all what the software capacities without a horizon you can looking for. Evernote blog is a good resource but it is not enough for me.
The comparison with Evernote is critical for me. So I can tell you that Notion provide you all what Evernote offer plus a not-so-boring journey during using the product.
Pros:
Without doubt its ubiquity (they claim you can organise anything within it) is incredible.
Cons:
User experience is not that good. It is not comfort for the eyes. Too many options. Too many features. Need time to learn and use and you ended up reexplain that too many time to your team OR you must buy Khe course about that product. And it's something you should really consider into your calculation of what that software cost.
Alternatives Considered:
One of the best productivity apps for anyone who wants to keep themself productive.
Comments: Absolutely amazing. My life is so much easier and I get now more time to spend with my family thanks to Notion.
Pros:
NOTION is a true lifesaver productivity app for anyone who really cares to deliver the best of him/her by the end of the day. Once you open the app you will have option to customize the pages you see on the left side, create new ones, include links, add people who you work with, tag them, add pictures, prioritize your tasks, set deadlines and set a reminder for every deadline you set of. It basically has everything I would ask for, almost perfect and it saves me a lot of time by keeping me organize throughout the day.
Cons:
The only thing I like the least about this software is the font, it has very limited fonts to choose from. I wish they had more.

All in one Editor
Comments: Using it as my go-to tool for note-taking, project tracking, and sharing a common knowledge base across people. Use it for personal use cases for tracking my startup growth.
Pros:
Excellent note-taking tool. Good for document storage and sharing. It also has a feature profile management, for personal and company usage. Files can be shared and made available publically. Good pre-defined setup for project tracking and management. My personal favorite is the Page icon and the cover icon of the page. Amazing community and pre-defined templates available for all general use cases.
Cons:
It just can't be used directly, and comes with a decent learning curve. More integrations with tools needed, also support for more coding languages.
versatile and powerful tool to help you organize your docs, and manage your tasks
Comments: I find it to be a very versatile and powerful tool that has greatly improved my ability to organize and manage my work. The clean interface, availability on multiple platforms, and the variety of integrations with other tools and services make it a pleasure to use.In many ways, I consider it to be the new Google Drive, but with more flexibility and customization options. I would definitely recommend Notion to anyone looking for a better way to organize and manage their work.
Pros:
It is highly customizable and can be used for a wide range of purposes, including project management, note taking, and task tracking. I also like it because it's easy to use and has a clean and intuitive interface. Additionally, it is available on the web, mobile and desktop.
Cons:
I found it hard to use Notion on iPads and with Apple Pencils. While it's very intuitive on laptop, it's doesn't feel the same on an iPad when using a pencil.
Alternatives Considered:
Daily Use - Extremely Great For Documentation/Knowledge Base
Comments: It is a great product. We use it daily and it's our go-to tool for everyday use of reference or information storage.
Pros:
Being able to centrally store, categorize, navigate, search and share knowledge base. It is extremely important to store documentation for both internal use and the client in my current working model.
Cons:
The app is getting heavier and slower. What I like least about the product is that it is slows down considerably as more and more data or information are stored within. This is the main reason why I only store/share files with embedded links to my other cloud storage. This because even with just text, the user experience due to slowness is sometimes quite frustrating.
Notion is the one stop shop that will transform the way you work.
Comments: The Wiki features, pages, databases, and embed features allow for deep levels of clear organization of everything any team member needs to know about our company, products, and project plans. Task and project management is made easy with Notion templates. We were able to replace a project management software. Task and project management being in the same app as our knowledge base/wikis has made our remote work 10x easier and our team significantly more productive. Databases, templates, team settings, and reminders make project planning super easy. Databases can store tons of information, and with filters, sorting, and various views including calendar views, everything can literally be in one place. A dream come true. Everything we need to know about a project, a course we're selling, marketing campaigns, etc. is in one place. For a remote start up company with a short window for onboarding new team members, this is essential. Integrations with other commonly used apps such as Google Docs, Typeform, and Slack make this app the perfect home base. And, the search function is wonderful! We use Google Docs still for long form documents and docs that need to printed or shared as a PDF because the text formatting features in Notion are not for this. BUT, the integration with Google Docs makes this easy and actually - FUN. The ability to manage multiple projects at once is a super easy in Notion. Use databases that you can highly customize this for your business needs, or use templates from thousands of other Notion nerds (or Notion creators themselves) to get started. We are working on about 45 different "projects" right now, that all have different needs. Using Notion's project management features, we can see all of the info that we need to at once, to manage our departments working cross-functionally and various team member's assignments productivity. We use our project list as the agendas for our weekly meetings and the individual task views as our guide for our one-on-ones with team members and supervisors, and it keeps us highly productive and efficient! We can take detailed notes right inside of a task, or leave comments for each other to keep a nicely organized "paper trail." Slack integrations help us stay notified of the most important things at the right times. Lastly, the professional and neat use of emojis has my inner 90s kid that loves stickers, extremely happy.
Pros:
What is there not to like? It's a brilliant app that is highly customizable, ensuring that you can meet the needs of your business, team and clients included. I do everything in Notion from planning my day, to planning projects, managing team tasks, taking meeting notes, keeping track of budgets, using it as a CRM for clients, using it as a wiki space for everything that goes on in our company, keeping meeting notes, creating public landing pages for sharing important details with clients or prospective employees (without having to design an webpage), and even integrating it with other commonly used apps such as slack, Google docs, Typeform, LucidChart, and literally - hundreds more. The new AI features are so incredible - it's like having chat GPT built in, but it uses info in the content in your spaces and pages already instead of you having to "teach" it. Incredible! I love this app so much!
Cons:
Using Notion to max capacity takes a bit of time and effort. Self-taught learners will have no problem diving right in, typing "/" and exploring all that Notion can do. Databases take a bit of time to learn as well, but the functionality is worth every bit. Luckily, there are some wonderful expert trainers on youtube and published by Notion itself that will help you and your team learn quickly. Also, I am looking forward to seeing more updates for the ipad version of the app so that I can use my apple pencil to take notes more easily. Also, the databases don't exactly replace Excel/Google Sheets, but the integrations with those apps are sufficient. The ONLY other con is not really a con, but a limited functionality that is intentional - there are not many features included for text editing. We still use Google docs frequently for "documents", especially those that need to be turned into a PDF or otherwise require more text editing features (word document style). This is on purpose, though. I think this helps keep the interface and experience very clean and uniform. BUT, Notion creators have wonderful ways of being creative with the limited functionality here!

My company's one stop resource
Comments: Notion was very easy to set up and my team found the content and functionality very easy to adopt. It's the one place my team an find everything they need related to our business.
Pros:
Notion is my company's internal source for everything, such as co-worker profiles, most used documents, task management, company handbook, work events, and payroll information.
Cons:
As a non-tech, non-design person, I found it challenging to choose the right templates and set up the most user-friendly design for my team. There are pages I have built that do not get used because of how I have designed them.
Alternatives Considered:
Notion is one of the most powerful end-to-end all-in-one productivity tool
Comments: Truly Amazing
Pros:
I love how versatile Notion is - I use it literally like a second brain in order to manage everything in life - especially chores and tasks. Templates make this so much more powerful. I love how we can convert pages into their own websites and share them. Especially with third-party tools that work on top of Notion, it makes this a productivity beast! Absolutely love Notion
Cons:
Mobile App needs a lot of work. Currently, it is slow and the UI is not very intuitive. Also other features like additional tab, centering sentences would make this even better.
"Notion makes the transition from unpolished notes to polished documents quick and efficient!"
Comments: Overall and crucially, Notion makes it simple for team members who identify as "non-technical" to participate from various departments. It hasn't caused a stir way other "unintuitive" gadgets with a steep learning curve have. The backup option is comforting; it's not something you consider before you sign up, but you'll need it later if your data is even tangentially important to you.Support has typically been quite beneficial to me and my numerous questions throughout the years. Sometimes they'll confuse things by requesting extra information on a simple, obvious issue, but I know they're only doing it to find out more. Right, it's better to err on the side of overcommunication:
Pros:
I was introduced to Notion by a coworker, and ever since I edited that tiny seedling of a first page, I've used it frequently, grown, and even produced the literary equivalent of several novels in it. It has combined aspects I've used in other programmes and improved on them greatly. In the past, I used to become annoyed at how badly my formatting was messed up by Google Docs, Zendesk, and other services. I could essentially clear up the debris by copying and pasting it into Notion. Additionally, a page supports live editing, thus there is no separate "publish" phase! (If necessary, you can always perform a "staging/test" on a different page.) Additionally, it's very simple to target shares or make pages public.Project management for task tracking (through card columns), thorough user documentation (and the process of translating it from internal external consumption), and concept presentation are some of the business uses of Notion that I have. At home, my wife and I also used it to draught and revise our wedding vows, document items in need of repair, and other things. In other words, there were moments when I was interacting with another tool before going — "Why, Notion is capable of that already! Use Notion only!" Keeping track of my musical productions with Notion is one of my favourite uses. I serialize them with annotations so I can see what's almost finished, what has to be delivered, and what I might just be messing about with.
Cons:
I wish we could add more bespoke styling. I'm not talking insane custom colours, but solid background colours and text with precise RGB values would make a huge impact with matching branding. Though having everything integrated seems really basic, I am aware that there are third-party applications that seek to cover these demands and things like custom domain names.Additionally, as of my most recent check, there was no way to view the original IFRAMES code, which seems incredibly cumbersome because it requires me to store that code elsewhere (perhaps in a separate Notion page) or risk it being obscured. Anyone using widgets with special embed parameters, such as those from Bandcamp and SoundCloud, should be aware of this. But overall, Notion has been fantastic!
My testimony and avaluation of Notion
Comments: Overall, my experience using Notion for task and project management has been positive. The platform offers a wide range of features such as task scheduling, editing and updating, progress tracking, project planning, and integration with other apps and services, that allows me to stay organized and manage my work effectively. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple to use even for someone who is new to the software. The ability to create custom properties and use tags enables me to categorize and sort my tasks in a way that makes sense for me. Additionally, the ability to embed other types of content like images, videos, and documents in my pages, allows me to keep all my project related information in one place. However, I have found that the integration with other apps and services could be improved, and the mobile app experience could be more user-friendly. Overall, Notion has been a great tool for me to increase my productivity and stay organized.
Pros:
I have been using Notion for task and project management for several months now, and I have found that one feature that I particularly appreciate is the flexibility of the platform. Notion allows me to customize and tailor the way I organize my tasks and projects to my specific needs. The ability to create custom properties and use tags enables me to categorize and sort my tasks in a way that makes sense for me. Additionally, the ability to embed other types of content like images, videos, and documents in my pages, allows me to keep all my project related information in one place. I also appreciate the simplicity of the platform, it allows me to focus on my work and not getting lost in a maze of settings and options. Overall, the flexibility and simplicity of Notion is a feature that I particularly appreciate, it helps me to stay organized and productive.
Cons:
I have found that one feature that I particularly dislike is the limited integration with other apps and services. While it's possible to integrate with other apps like Google Drive and Trello, it still doesn't provide the same level of seamless integration as other project management tools. Additionally, the lack of real-time collaboration tools such as in-app chat or video conferencing makes it difficult to work efficiently with my team. Furthermore, I found the mobile app experience to be a bit clunky and not as user-friendly as the web version. Overall, while Notion offers some integration and collaboration features, it could be improved to provide a more seamless experience across different apps and platforms.
Notion. Worth it?
Comments: I decided to start using notion when I saw a review on YouTube, my main usage at that moment was organization. At first, I found it difficult to create my new tables, and it took me a while to learn how to use the formulas and different features. Once I learned, I created big tables with dependant columns and rows and automatic values, which have been helping me to keep a record of my grades at school and university, to track my tasks and organize my homework and work.
Pros:
When you become a pro in Notion every aspect is a pro. Notion works in different devices (computer, android, ios), it allows collaborative work, you can create view-only or editing links, it works great not only for personal organization, but also for work tasks. At work is good for project management, scheduling tasks, taking progress and tasks of each employee, etc. It also has good options to filter access to each file. This allows to share the same document with different access levels in a big organization.Although I didn't find it too easy at first for complex tasks, there are various tutorials and documentation on the internet, and Notion and users provide free templates for different use cases, which makes everything easy.
Cons:
The main drawback I found is that is not as intuitive as many people think. The user interface is friendly and nice, but when you want to create complex tables with many columns and automatic actions, it gets complex without knowing how to use it. Is as spread-shits, as long as you want to do simple actions with the basic formulas, will be ok. However, when you want to implement complex structures and use advance functions It may get complicated if you don't know how to use it.Anyway, it is not too difficult to lean, and once you know how to use it, you can create wonderful documents and tables that will simplify many jobs and will help you keep organized.
An all-in-one tool to get organized and be more productive.
Comments: Notion is an all-in-one tool that can be used to organize and manage any type of information, from notes and to-do lists to projects and databases. The ability to customize the tool to my needs is a huge plus, as is the ability to collaborate in real time with other users.
Pros:
What I like most about Notion is its ability to adapt to my needs and the way I work. The user interface is very intuitive and customizable, allowing me to organize my information the way I prefer. Another thing I like about Notion is its ability to be used as a database. This is especially useful for me, since I can create databases for projects, tasks, contacts, and whatever else I need. The ability to search, filter, and sort information efficiently and effectively is a huge plus for me, as I can quickly find what I need.
Cons:
I would say the learning curve can be a bit steep at first. There are many functions and features in Notion, and it can take a while to figure out how to use them all effectively. Also, while the free version of Notion offers many useful features, there are some limitations in terms of storage and number of users that may be a problem for some individuals and businesses.
Alternatives Considered:
All-in-one
Comments: Fantastic experience overall and has made many of our business processes much leaner.
Pros:
Notion can be used in almost any way you want. It's a note-taking, project-planning, task completing superstar and should probably be part of your software stack. We run most of our company through Notion and have no intention of moving to anything else for the foreseeable future.
Cons:
It takes a short while to get up to speed with what Notion can do and that can be tricky for new starters.
Alternatives Considered:
Having used so many other tools this one has changed my business goals
Pros:
Notion keeps me on track. I generate a lot of content and documentation for my client projects and keeping up with the dozens of pieces that I need to produce and share each week would never succeed without Notion.
Cons:
Two things: Notion is hard to get started with. I had to go back early on and redo many of my initial ideas of working with Notion. Templates are a good way to get started. Secondly, you must be connected to the internet for Notion to work. I travel a lot and work in places where internet availability is not always guaranteed.
A Game-Changer in Digital Experience - My Notion Experience
Pros:
I couldn't resist sharing my thoughts on Notion, and let me tell you, it's been nothing short of a game-changer for me. From the moment I dived into Notion, I was greeted by this sleek and intuitive interface that felt like a breath of fresh air. The flexibility it offers is simply mind-blowing - my notes, tasks, and projects finally found their perfect digital home. One thing I absolutely love is how Notion adapts to my unique way of organizing things. It's like having a personal assistant that understands my quirks and preferences. Whether it's creating a comprehensive to-do list or drafting out my latest brainstorm, Notion effortlessly molds itself to my writing style. And the collaboration features? Pure genius. Working on group projects has never been smoother. Real-time updates and the ability to seamlessly share ideas - it's a collaborative dream come true. But here's the kicker: databases. They've turned data organization into an art form. I can't tell you how satisfying it is to watch my information neatly structured and easily accessible. What's even cooler is the variety. Need a sleek to-do list? There's a template for that. Planning a trip? There's a template for that too. Notion has undeniably become my go-to digital workspace. It's not just an app; it's become an integral part of my daily routine.
Cons:
Now, don't get me wrong; Notion is this expansive canvas where I can pour out my thoughts and organize my chaos beautifully. But, and there's always a but, when it comes to formatting, I find myself yearning for a bit more freedom.
