Jane in the most clinician friendly patient charting app

Comments: Jane has streamlined our patient note-taking tasks, as well as making our patient appointment booking system more integrated.From the very beginning, when I made first contact with Jane staff I felt that the whole team at Jane cared passionately about what they do.It is not often that you come across a company who don't just say they care about their Clients, but live & breathe their proclaimed ethos. I get the very strong impression that caring about people is who they are.From our experience, at Cornwall Podiatry, we feel the Jane Team care about us. And that care enables us to pass forward that caring attitude in our own professional interactions with our patients.Thank you.

Pros:

We love the customisability of the Jane system. It is by far the most intuitive & feature-rich digital Clinical note taking up we've used. And we've trialed about ten different ones before deciding to move to Jane.It is also the easiest to use when running a busy clinic session. The templates can be custom designed for your own style of note taking, & can be customised on the fly with other templates as you need them.Each clinician can write their own treatment plans as Jane phrases which can be called up quickly with a forward slash & a 3-4 letter code. These phrases mean whole paragraphs of treatment which are regularly used can be inserted into the notes very quickly then edited for the specific patient as necessary.When duplicating a patient daily treatment chart the diagrams/body Charts etc are all duplicated ready to be edited to match that days treatment. Again making recording the patient treatment notes much more quickly than writing it all from scratch each time.Our administrative Staff loved the fact that patient Intake forms & contact data populated all the necessary fields instead of being manually transferred previously.Also the admin staff love the way Jane sends out reminders on Texts & Emails a few days prior to the patient's appointments.

Cons:

One feature which is missing is a seach facility within reports. Plus I'd really love more colours to work with on the body Charts & sketching.

The most used app in my practice.

Comments: Jane is a great service and provides exceptional customer service.

Pros:

Jane helps me with many aspects of my business. It takes care of intake forms, invoices, receiving payments, and chart storage which gives me more time in my practice.

Cons:

I wish I could message (email for example) my clients back and forth through the chart somehow.

I'd think twice before using Jane

Comments: Very poor staff support so far. First zoom call was close to useless and he just wanted to get off call and second one Jane staff did not show up for! Very displeased

Pros:

Not able to set up software yet so nothing so far.

Cons:

Jane staff member did not show up to scheduled zoom call with no word or explanation. Multiple calls to try to set up new software with only minimal actual contact. They just don't answer calls or return voicemails

Janeapp has painful bugs, but works fairly well once you learn the hard way about them, and how to work around them.

Comments: Generally good as long as I use Chrome, and know about the pages not refreshing bug and how to work around it.

Pros:

That it generally works well and looks good, as long as you don't mind being forced to use Chrome when you don't want to, and work around the other minor-ish bug of having to refresh the page, or quit and reload the browser to have the Documents and/or the appointments pages updated.

Cons:

Being forced to use Chrome. How many professional apps out there actually force one to use a specific browser? Also, as above, at times having to either refresh the page or even quit and then restart the browser to have the Documents and Appointments pages updated. I was suggested to put these in "Feature requests" - but it belongs in bug fixes "requests" as it has caused me grief.

I highly highly highly recommend

Comments: I'm usually pretty critical of companies that I work with and expect a lot out of them. Jane is one of the few companies that I would say that I would highly recommend. I started off with another company in that was a nightmare and then switched to Jane and it was like night and day.

Pros:

We got the company set up with him a month and the transition was generally seamless. I describe it like what happened with Y2K or everybody was really freaked out at first and then everything went just fine. Their customer support is amazing and all of the people that I have worked with have been very knowledgeable and if they don't understand they look into it and get back to you within a timely manner.

Cons:

I don't have anything negative to say about the system or the people. There are various functions, bills, and whistles that I wish they had but they seem to be pretty good about listening to feedback and improving their system.

How does Jane support our Business?

Comments: Moved from a previous Patient Management and the difference is night and day. The Support Team in particular are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble and I love that they sometimes send videos of what actions you need to take when dealing with an issue

Pros:

First of all it is really easy to use and so impressed with the range of services it offers. Secondly the cost is superb and all our staff can access the system whenever they need to do, Fantastic product

Cons:

The only thing I can suggest is that there is so many different options to do things with Jane that i don't think Ill ever get the time to go though them all

Jane is the best software i've ever used!

Comments: I don't have a bad thing to say about Jane. I've used 3 other software's prior to Jane and they pale in comparison. I set up my own practise 2 years ago and I honestly feel Jane made the whole process so much easier. Thank you Jane - easy 5 stars from me.

Pros:

The online booking, statements and billing documents, it integrates with stripe and phsyiapp, easy to customize forms etc. You can duplicate notes create phrases which makes writing notes quick and easy. Customer service is fantastic. Above and beyond any other similar service. And when you need to leave they send you PDF of all client notes which makes it a breeze to comply with data safe keeping.

Cons:

I wish they offered it in the country I am moving to.

Charting limitation.

Comments: Positive. Usually did not have to wait very long on the phone. Support is usually very pro active and gets back to you within 24 hours.

Pros:

Great customer service, willingness to assist and brainstorm a solution.

Cons:

We are a medical cosmetic clinic. Charting of injectables treatments are crucial. This is lacking on Jane's template library. Your template choice should keep up with the industry's innovation of treatment so that we can easily choose the template for laser treatments, radio frequency, microneedling, chemical peel, etc.

Great Experience with Jane so far!

Comments: I have loved it and I intend to continue to use it!

Pros:

I love that I can get help if needed through email or over the phone and that I am always talking with a live person, not a recording. I love that I can literally take care of my billing, my scheduling, my payments, and my notes/charting all in one place!

Cons:

I don't have any complaints yet, I just wish that I better understood the insurance side of things but I honestly think once I start sending claims through it will became really easy for me, I just need practice.

Great for any organization

Comments: Absolutely great. I think it is one of the best programmed app.

Pros:

Aside from having so many features which was a bit challenging to figure out, jane has everything a practice needs.

Cons:

The fees are on the higher end compare to other apps.

Comments: Still fresh and getting things set up but the customer service/support team has been so wonderful at answering questions and helping me with areas I am unfamiliar with. The features of Jane that I have learned about so far are exciting in the way that it will make many aspects of my job so much easier. Definitely wish we took this step sooner.

Awesome customer service/support, the software is easy to learn, software will make my job way easier

Great customer service

Comments: Nothing is perfect, but the overall experience is great due to customer service.

Pros:

The customer service. They are all so knowledgeable, courteous and prompt. Especially [sensitive content hidden]!

Cons:

1) When I click on "Great" to the question "How would you rate my reply?" nothing happens, that button doesn't work. 2) I just lost a staff member (and all her clients attached to her) because she was not able to create her own treatments and classes without full access. This would be great for staff to have full control for treatments and classes for their clients. If I change her status from practitioner limited it compromises the confidentiality of other client files that do not belong to them.

Jane…easy but needs a bit of fine tunong

Comments: Overall, this is a good program to use and is easy for new staff to learn.

Pros:

Easy to use and learn. Have been using it and enjoy the functionality.

Cons:

Ability for clients to book appointments on-line is great. But, sometimes, they will book an appointment with multiple providers and then attend only 1 of the appointments. There needs to be a pop-up or something that won’t allow someone to book the same appointment with 2 or 3 providers as this is not fair to take up multiple time slots when other clients are trying to book in as well. I realize this is an issue with only a small percent of clients, but it is an issue that has happened a few times. Would be great if there was some way to alert the client they can only book 1 appointment at a time…or ag least caution them that they are booking the same appointment with multiple providers and this is not recommended.

Jane For Efficiency and Accuracy

Comments: Jane allows me to quickly and efficiently search the available time slots based on my personal requirements. Saves me time from having to speak to a live person.

Pros:

-Jane is user-friendly -Jane provides an efficient platform to enter all necessary information

Cons:

I have noticed that sometimes with Jane I don't get a confirmation email stating my appointment has been secured

Comments: With each Jane staff I interacted so far I experienced super customer service! Much appreciated. My title for the review was sent to me by [sensitive content hidden]- made my day with her fun comment and pic.

Pros:

Jane team is amazing! Whenever I need an answer or support they are here for me and they give their best to find solutions.

Cons:

Don't know yet. So far I have zero complaints.

Amazing EHR System

Pros:

I love how easy Jane is to use. The office has used this program for a few years, and when I came onboard 2 years ago, was surprised at how user friendly Jane is.

Cons:

No "actual" APP is available yet, and no communication via text with patients available yet.

Incredibly User Friendly

Comments: I truly enjoy using Jane, but I would not pay for it just for myself.

Pros:

Jane is incredibly user-friendly in that it is simple and quick to get started with booking, billing, and taking notes. The layout is appealing and makes practitioner and client use a walk in the park. No need for additional add-ons, you can keep client cards on file without having to pair your software to Square. Jane's transaction fees are comparable to Square.

Cons:

Sadly, when choosing to start my own solo-business, I came to find out how expensive the service is. Although worth mentioning that the software includes everything you would need - unlimited email and SMS reminders, file storage, credit card processing - $79/mo ends up being a steep spend for someone working for themself. For someone willing to push through a learning curve, using Noterro is a much more economical choice for the individual practitioner. ($25/mo base on which you may get a discount as a member of the RMTAO. With the SMS add-on, I am still paying under $35/mo for a service that covers all my needs.)

You’re right in saying that Jane comes equipped with almost everything you could ever need to open, run, and grow your practice - but that may be too much for some just starting out or working on their own, and we get that. While we may not have something that fits the bill for you right now, I hope we can cross paths again down the road.
