About Trainual
The all-in-one knowledge and training app that makes it easy to onboard, train and grow your team (and the business).
The product is easy to lay out training material and integrate images, videos, etc. It was very easy to invite and monitor activity.
What about definition matching or something else more interactive than multiple choice. And I wish you could turn off the feature where it shows the User what they got wrong.

Great tool for Team Training
Comments: The data may be quickly sorted and searched. Having everything set up ahead of time will make it much simpler to locate the specific concepts you need to grasp afterwards. It's also helpful to be able to monitor your own and your staff's training development.
Pros:
Onboarding Time is saved and efficiency is increased as our staff receives continuous training and development thanks to our efforts. Simple interface! The addition of Loom is fantastic. Loom also offers excellent onboarding training materials.
Cons:
One potential drawback is that training doesn't make extensive use of gaming techniques, which appear to be crucial in retaining today's workforce.

Amazing Platform
Pros:
Easy to use, love the templates that are pre-created.
Cons:
Need to be pretty tech savvy to be able to roll out the platform.

Thank you for your feedback, Bailey! We're excited to hear that you find Trainual easy to use and that you love our pre-created templates. We understand your concern about needing to be tech-savvy to roll out the platform, and we’re actively working on making the onboarding process even more accessible for all users. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and we appreciate your support. If you have any further suggestions or thoughts, we’d love to hear them!
Needs Knowledge Base Work
Comments: It is a love-hate relationship. We love being able to track everyone's progress but hate that it is so difficult to reference material later on.
Pros:
The ability to track employees' progress and completion of each Trainual.
Cons:
Trying to find and reference past Trainuals. Once a Trainual is complete is it very difficult to find and reference back to it unless you remember to favorite it before you complete the Trainual initially. If they could figure this out then their product would be much better.

Appreciate this, Jonathan! Good news, with the new Home page you can now Favorite content and see it on your Favorites widget at login. You can also use the new Groups feature and easily add Subjects to your role specific Group. Then, when selecting the Group as a filter option on the content page, you'll have quick access to everything you need. Woot woot! Not sure if this was the only reason for the 4/10, but if there is anything else we can do to improve your experience in Trainual, we'd love to chat with you. Keep the honest feedback coming!

A Must for a smaller organization
Comments: Being able to store all of our material within one place is what is great about Trainual. Using SharePoint is good but it has to be done in file formats and that I dont want. Its very easy for files to be lost or you forget the name. This one allows a couple of admins and the rest view users only. If I wanted to I can track where my people are in the training process with the assessment trackers.
Pros:
I love the fact that I have full control over everything within Trainual. Being able to add, remove, edit anything within Trainual is something all companies should want. We shouldnt have to ask for permission to add stuff to our training guides. I can start a guide and leave it until I am ready to publish. I can go back and forth without anyone seeing it or my work getting lost until I am submit it for publishing. It has banners, allows inserts of docs, videos, YouTube, and other apps. I can even record what I am doing on my computer with the Chrome extension. That is an awesome future. The cost is also good and you can store tons of information within it. The templates are also a huge help.
Cons:
Personally after 1 year, I dont have a lot of negative stuff to say about Trainual. Anytime ive needed help, its been pretty easy. Maybe a suggestion/recommendation future would be cool. Something that can give you some tips or advice on how to make your current training guide better. More of a want then a con though.
This is a great program!
Comments: Trainual has been a valuable recourse to the company im at. This allows us to track and efficiently train new and existing employees.
Pros:
Trainual is a very useful tool that allows us to easily train new and existing employees.
Cons:
Even though this platform works great for training people it gets updates quite frequently. Most updates are helpful but with the most recent update

Ease of Use and Editing found in Trainual
Comments: Very good experience! I love the word correct and ease of search for a topic. The best yet is the ability to change the context of a document without having to rewrite the entire thing. It's like Trainual is a living, breathing document!
Pros:
The ability to edit in real time and without having to rewrite the whole context of the document.
Cons:
Having to ask permission to edit and view documents that are relevant to my job.

Hey Barb! I love this "It's like Trainual is a living, breathing document!" This is precisely what we're after. Not only for documents to be living and breathing but for Trainual to answer questions as if it were a co-worker. So thanks for seeing what we're doing and championing our mission. P.S. Highly suggest pitching your need for Admin permissions if you are regularly editing content and hitting these permission barriers. Thanks again for an awesome review. Appreciate you!

Great platform for nonprofits and businesses alike.
Comments: So far Trainual has been exactly what we needed for our org. The training and onboarding was probably one of the selling pieces for us. We were in the trial phase and [sensitive content hidden] got on multiple calls with us to help us think through the best way to utilize the platform.
Pros:
We like the fact that we can keep all of our training, handbooks, and processes in one place for the whole team to train on and then references later. We can also update in real-time.
Cons:
There are some pieces that aren’t customizable that I would love to change. We have teams that have more robust training that need their steps broken down a bit more and it can get cumbersome with the current layout.

Clinical Trial Lifesaver
Pros:
What I like most about Trainual is that we are able to utilize it across a vast platform within our clinical trial. With decentralized trials, we rely on the ease of technology. This platform has given us a strong tool to keep up with study-specific and site-specific training in one place. This tool is easy to pull reports from if needed for FDA visits.
Cons:
I have not come across a feature that I do not care for as of now. I will update if I do.
Alternatives Considered:
You need Trainual
Comments: I would recommend Trainual to anyone who has a process that impacts others. Whether in a non-profit, business, or community setting.
Pros:
Trainual has been incredible for documenting all things you think you will just remember. And better yet keep it organized for those who come after us within a company
Cons:
The one thing I will say - for a small company, starting can be tricky. Trainual has been designed for companies of all sizes and there were some kinks to work out for a company as small as ours.

Fantastic Standardization and Documentation Tool
Comments: Trainual is a fantastic tool that allows us to standardize our procedures and not rely on generational teaching among our staff. I do see how it could be expensive for a new small business to start using the tool because the new prices are very expensive, but as stated, we've been grandfathered in.
Pros:
Trainual allows us to easily write down our processes and establish norms across my team and business. It's constantly improving and adding features that are actually useful in documenting or making that documentation more accessible for the team. Even off platform, they innovated buttons that you can tap with your phone to bring up a preset process. We've used the platform for a while, and they've always grandfathered us into the appropriate pricing/feature tier with our previous pricing, so it hasn't been too expensive for us. Writing documentation is easy with their tools (AI, PDF imports, GIFs, etc.), and the interface is easy to navigate on desktop. Reporting is super useful to keep track of who's read/been trained on what.
Cons:
Our biggest struggle is outside of Trainual but it's getting our team to adopt and use Trainual instead of asking others what to do for processes. Trainual is just too on the peripheral for our business currently. Part of what causes that is the confusing interface on mobile. The mobile app and site make finding processes a little difficult with the general library of knowledge existing in a separate place that what get's shown on the dashboard, essentially creating two separate spaces where the processes exist and the dashboard version sometimes is more difficult to navigate.

Thank you for your detailed feedback, Derek! We're pumped to hear that Trainual has helped you standardize processes and establish norms across your team. It’s fantastic that you appreciate our constant improvements and useful features, especially the innovative buttons for accessing preset processes. We also understand the challenges you face with team adoption and navigating the mobile app. Your insights about the interface and the separation of the process library from the dashboard are invaluable, and we’re continuously working to enhance the user experience. It's encouraging to know that Trainual has been a great tool for reducing reliance on generational teaching among staff. We recognize that pricing can be a concern for new small businesses, and that’s something we’re actively addressing as well. If you have any further suggestions or ideas for improvement, we’d love to hear them. Thank you once again for your detailed review!
A great tool to get started!
Pros:
I have thoroughly enjoyed how easy it is to use Trainual, especially as a first step towards implementing a formal knowledge base. It was easy to set up a system within Trainual and make it your own!
Cons:
The only thing that makes Trainual a bit difficult is getting used to certain features and then they are changed or removed. Typically, this is to enhance those features and make them easier to use, but sometimes it comes without warning. Other than that, it is a great product!

Great SOP platform
Pros:
Easy to use and deploy. It is flexible yet simple to use.
Cons:
It was hard to picture the whole outlay will be like. I would like to have a system chart that I can set up initially before I set out putting up SOP.

Great format lots of room for customization
Pros:
I like that you can customize so many different aspects of the training to really suit your needs.
Cons:
I dislike that you can’t add quizzes and tests in the middle of sections. The ability to, at a later date , add a quiz when you have realized that it is needed would be a great feature.

Hey, Josh! Thanks for sharing. I'm a bit confused by your feedback and definitely want to help here! You can add Tests in between Topics in current state. You can also come back and add tests at any time after the content goes live. You can even use our new AI test question generator to do it for you. Sounds like you might benefit from a chat with our team on this feature. We'd love to show you how to do these things! Feel free to reach out. Thanks again for the positive review.
Love this for my business
Pros:
This has helped with putting all our policies and porcedures in one place.
Cons:
I cant really think of any cons, except we had a lot of work to do to get all the information loaded in Trainual.

Woot woot! Glad to hear you love using Trainual. Thanks so much for sharing your review.
Excellent platform for creating training content.
Comments: The onboarding experience was very insightful. However, other members of our organization seem to struggle with understanding how to best utilize the system. The organization relies on me auditing the content they have created to ensure it is complete, accurate, and follows the proper structure. We will have to do a lot of internal training before we are using the system at its full capacity.
Pros:
My favorite feature of Trainual is the ability to create Loom videos and embed them into the training content. This is far more effective than simply writing out a policy of SOP.
Cons:
The structure of Collection > Subject > Topic > Step can be confusing for team members who weren't part of the Trainual onboarding process. This structure also doesn't work well for certain policies and SOPs.
Best Onboarding product available
Comments: Outstanding. Best product for ensuring consistency and retention in your onboarding process.
Pros:
It is extremely thorough. Allows users to control how and when they get their training.
Cons:

Comments: Overall, Trainual has served as a good training app and is easy to navigate through.
Pros:
I like that it is easily accessible and keeps track of your progress in comparison with other employees as well as the company as a whole.
Cons:
What I liked lease about Trainual is that when I went to e-sign some documents from a cell phone that it would not accept the signature and I had to go back and complete from a laptop.

Trainual Review
Pros:
I like that I can take all processes out of my head and write them down, step by step for the team to follow. This has freed my time up greatly. Now the team can refer to trainual. Also, the company structure feature is ace. I can allocate people to roles, then trainual subjects to that role
Cons:
I think it is quite good as is. For what we use it for, there is nothing lacking

Great Training Platform For Teams
Pros:
We use Trainual for everything from employee onboarding to process documentation. It is easy to implement, easy to use (as a teacher) and easy to use (as a learner).
Cons:
The loom integration is fantastic, but it seems like a lot to have to pay for Loom on top of the Trainual cost. It should be included.

Pros:
Trainual is amazing. It's great for onboarding new employees and ensure training compliance virtually.
Cons:
Nothing, all positive things about trainual. Thanks!
Intuitive Platform for Process Creation
Pros:
My favorite thing about Trainual is how easy they make the content creation process. The platform is super intuitive, so even without much background information/training on the platform, a new user can log in and generate a process or policy with ease (and make them look good too!) They are incorporating more AI integration as well so I expect the process could get even easier. If you do need help, the Trainual help & training center is really thorough and covers the platform itself, how to make awesome processes/policies and anything else you might need. The team is responsive by chat as well anytime I ever had a question or wanted to request a feature.
Cons:
Just a couple features that I think could be helpful: A clear way to prioritize assigned content on the general user's "Desk"/homepage, as well as different options for the "look" of the homepage in general. If a user is assigned a lot of content, each subject assigned takes up a lot of space on the screen.

Thanks for sharing your awesome feedback, Kelly! It's great to hear how easy the content creation process has been for you and how intuitive the platform is for new users. The addition of AI integration is just getting started - many more exciting updates coming in this space! Regarding your suggestions, a clear way to prioritize assigned content on the user's "Desk" and different options for the homepage's appearance are definitely on our radar. More to come soon! Thanks for this thoughtful review. Always here to support you!

Comments: Trainual has helped our team with being able to find answers to processes quickly. Everything is at your fingertips and just a search away!
Pros:
I have to say I love Trainual. It is easy to use, was easy to learn being a new user. The help feature, How-to's, and pro tips is a great resource for knowledge. The Trainual support team is very responsive and helpful.
Cons:
The card view! Card view vs outline view - Feel that all users should have the option for the outline view to help organize trainings and search for trainings easily.
