Cons:

Sometimes we experience sync issues, but nothing serious. Overall a very good user experience.

Comments: Overall I have been very pleased and have shifted the majority of my design work into the tool

Pros:

I find the tools very intuitive and for a web design or app design it just works

Cons:

You have to have all of your graphic assets ready. For example if you are doing more than just basic photo editing, you still need a tool like photoshop.

Figma, one of the most incredible tools for creating functional and realistic prototypes.

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: Figma is highly intuitive, and we don't need to be professionals in the design field to create functional prototypes, all we need is time to learn the most important aspects of prototyping and it is guaranteed that each project will be better and with a professional result.
We can execute our designs and make them look like a functional application, and after approval, we can give it to our development team for implementation.

Pros:

Figma is one of the most popular and powerful tools when we need to develop functional prototypes to demonstrate an idea, especially when we are going to show, for example, the design of a web application or mobile APP. Figma developments are highly interactive and can be presented in any format, whether for a mobile device, a tablet or a laptop, and we can even customize the resolution for almost any resolution.

Cons:

Figma has its own file format described with the .fig extension, so there are not many import options from other formats such as .xd, which can be a bit tedious if we come from other applications and want to bring all our projects to Figma. However, once this challenge is overcome, we can create designs either with the standalone application or by using figma from a browser, with similar functionality.

I am building better prototypes with Figma.

5.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: Figma made real time collaboration, a strong aspect of my day to day design/ prototyping experience.
Figma has made feedback collection during design sessions a lot easier.

Pros:

Figma is browser based and this enables me to have quicker access to it from any computer device, than I would if I need to first install it on a desktop. I like the collection of widgets and plugins I have access to , as a user of Figma. These plugins enable me automate critical areas of my design workflow and collaborate better with teammates for effective design execution.

Cons:

Honestly, I am completely satisfied with the value that Figma provides me. As far as I am concerned, it is by far my favorite user interface and prototyping tool.

Figma: Design Tool Success

4.0 last month New

Comments: My experience with Figma has been a clear success overall. It is a great tool for beginners and seasoned vets with an ever-growing arsenal of resources at your fingertips.

Pros:

I love the seemingly endless features that Figma offers. Working in real-time with team members in Live Collaboration is beyond priceless, especially when you are on the go as Figma allows you to open it on any device. Nothing compares to the resources offered. It is almost a perfect platform in that regard.

Cons:

Like any design tool, it takes time to fully comprehend the features Figma offers. This is remedied with clear how-to videos and articles. The ease of use is on par with other design tools and nothing extra-new.

Figma: A Powerful Tool for Collaborative Design

4.0 last month New

Comments: Overall, my experience with Figma has been very positive. It has become an essential tool in my design process, especially due to its collaborative features. It allows me to easily share designs with stakeholders, get feedback in real-time, and make changes on the fly. While there are a few minor drawbacks, the pros far outweigh them, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an efficient and collaborative design tool.

Pros:

What I liked most about Figma is its ability to facilitate seamless collaboration in real-time. The fact that multiple team members can work on a design simultaneously is a game-changer, especially for remote teams.

Cons:

What I liked least about Figma is its performance when dealing with very large files or complex designs. While the tool is generally fast, I’ve noticed a lag when working on files with lots of components or complex animations.

Not good for companies

4.0 11 months ago

Comments: My developers loved it, but I hated it.
I share the concerns raised about Figma's user management and billing system. My experience has been frustrating, marked by unexpected charges due to the automatic upgrade of viewer accounts to full memberships without explicit consent. This lack of transparent control and oversight in billing has not only led to financial strains but also raised serious questions about Figma's suitability for businesses requiring stringent compliance and security protocols. Unfortunately, Figma’s current system appears to lack the necessary safeguards for business owners to manage their accounts effectively and economically

Pros:

I have to admit I am impressed with the tools themselves, easy to follow

Cons:

As a business owner utilizing Figma for our design and prototyping needs, I feel compelled to voice significant concerns regarding its billing and user management systems. Figma offers a suite of powerful tools for design mockups, but it falls short in areas crucial to business operations—particularly in terms of compliance and security. In my own experience with Figma, I've encountered serious issues where the system automatically upgraded viewer accounts to full memberships without my consent or awareness. This led to unexpected and substantial charges, a problem that became apparent only upon a detailed audit of our accounts. The lack of clear notifications and approval mechanisms for such critical changes is a significant oversight. In a busy business environment where oversight of multiple systems is a common challenge, such lapses in user management can easily go unnoticed. More critically, this flaw in Figma’s system isn't merely a financial risk; it's a breach of basic compliance protocols that businesses strictly adhere to. The ease with which employees can unintentionally escalate costs by sharing projects outside the organization poses a direct threat to operational security and budget management. This oversight indicates a gap in Figma's understanding of the nuanced needs of business operations, especially in terms of administrative control and security protocols. Therefore, I urge fellow business leaders and decision-makers to exercise caution with Figma. It’s vital to vigilantly monitor your account settings and billing to mitigate these risks. The current state of Figma’s system underscores a crucial demand for tools that prioritize not just functionality but also align with stringent business practices and security measures. In light of these shortcomings, I am considering the development of an alternative platform that foregrounds these business essentials. This potential solution would offer robust control over user permissions and financial implications, addressing a critical market need for business-centric design tools. Until Figma addresses these shortcomings, businesses must recognize and navigate these risks actively. This is a call to Figma and other software providers: align your services with the stringent requirements of the business community. Only through such alignment can digital tools genuinely serve and support the diverse needs of the professional world.

Using Figma as a Student

4.0 last year

Comments: My overall experience of Figma is good. While I use other tools to supplement the areas Figma is missing, I would not consider replacing it. I use Figma boards for creating site maps and user flows and I use the regular side of Figma for creating design systems, and the digital project itself.

Pros:

I love that a majority of Figma is easy to use and most tools are where I would expect them to be. Figma is very versatile and I use it daily.

Cons:

Search features and the ability to keep an organized workspace would be nice to have

Figma helps validate things before burning money developing

5.0 8 months ago

Pros:

I love the ability to mock-up prototypes and be able to display and get these live in front of people and share externally to watch how users click and see quickly and test the value of these actual ideas without having to spend to actually develop it.

Cons:

Nothing I really dislike, it has a LOT of functionality that sometimes can be overwhelming but overall that's probably more of a positive than a negative.

Good tool for design

4.0 7 months ago

Comments: Overall good and pretty easy to work with

Pros:

It's very complete, allow for quick prototyping of design and brainstorming with various members. It as good tool to help devs apply that design and understand the fundamentals of it.

Cons:

Sometimes slow to load, the developer page offer very basic css to copy paste but that only work with very few framework. It could expand on the code side of thing like generating palette and/or theme for some popular framework and use those in the code snippet.

Useful tool to collaborate with others on designs

4.0 last year

Pros:

Good way for the design team to collaborate with others on designs and have everything in one place. Once people on the team get the hang of it, they can use it to make edits, leave comments, code based on the designs and more. You can also save previous versions of a design on the same file to have an archive for later reference.

Cons:

You have to switch to the desktop version to edit some text because certain fonts are not available on the web version. It'd be helpful if there are horizontal tabs or some other UX to have the option to quickly navigate to and show just one design within a file, instead of having to scroll up and down and left to right to find it and seeing all the designs beside each other. It'd be useful to have smart features like being able to add a guideline on a design that stops elements from being able to be moved beyond that point. Much easier to follow than strictly visual guidelines.

Figma is a beginner friendly prototyping app!

5.0 last year

Comments: I enjoyed customizing my prototype it made me feel as if the app I had in mind is already functional and ready to use any time even if it was just an idea that turned into a reality virtually. I like how prototyping can make it possible for you to see how the app you designed would work when it is already done.

Pros:

I really like how easy it is to navigate when you literally have no idea how to do a prototype. As someone who used Figma for the very first time, I like how most of the features are not confusing at all and are just straight to the point. I really like how you can simply customize right away with all the given samples and elements.

Cons:

There are features that are way too advanced that did confuse me a little bit and I got so intimidated that I decided to skip that part no matter how it would make my prototype way better than it already was. Maybe, it would be nice to have a short clip of a tutorial or a preview as to what will happen when choosing certain options.

A must for UX designers these days

5.0 last year

Pros:

Figma was fairly easy for me to learn, and I expect it would be for anyone who has spent any time playing around in Photoshop or other image editors. There are tons of tutorials, resources, and plugins to help you figure out the more sophisticated features. The ability to share with your team for feedback in the tool itself is helpful. It's useful for a lot more besides just prototyping websites and apps -- I've used it as an image editor for simple tasks, designing logos, creating promotional PDFs for our business, and more.

Cons:

Oddly, I and my team find the file browser to be rather confusing to navigate.
