Simple, Clean, and Intuitive Sytem

5.0 last month New

Comments: If there are no firewall issues with your network, set up is a breeze. Creating and uploading your own assets is an easy and an enjoyable experience and there are hundreds of premade templates you can just modify. The system is familiar and intuitive and the price give you your money's worth and more.

Pros:

Optisigns was easy to use with a clean interface and an intuitive system. There were plenty of professional and well designed premade templates and if you are used to creating/modifying designs on Canva, then you have pretty much mastered Optisigns. And if you haven't you will easily figure it out. Data mapping is also a huge plus since we have rates that change regularly.

Cons:

If you have a heightened security network if might block it right away but it doesn't really tell you that it might be a firewall issue. My personal experience was, because it wouldn't connect to our network, the pairing code didn't show up at all. Depending on someone's level of familiarity with such issues, they might just think the device is defective. A warning message somewhere that indicates that issue would be extremely helpful. There is an article about whitelisting but you need to know what to look for and dig for it.

OptiSigns: User-Friendly Solution for Streamlined Internal Communication

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: OptiSigns has been a solid addition to our internal communication toolkit. It’s simple to use, effective for sharing key information, and helps keep everyone informed and engaged.

Pros:

One of the standout features of OptiSigns is its easy-to-use upload and drag-and-drop functionality. Even individuals who aren’t very tech-savvy can quickly learn how to navigate and utilize the platform, making it accessible for everyone in our team. It’s also great for sharing important company-wide information, recognizing birthdays and anniversaries, and tracking production KPIs across the plant.

Cons:

So far, there aren’t any major drawbacks. We've only been using OptiSigns for about a month, and it's been smooth sailing without any significant issues.

Alternatives Considered: Marlin HR

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: We switched from Brightsigns to OptiSigns because the user interface of Brightsign was difficult to navigate, making it challenging for our team to manage content effectively. OptiSigns offers a much more intuitive and user-friendly experience.

Switched From: BrightSide

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: We chose OptiSigns because of its easy-to-use interface, flexible features like drag-and-drop functionality, and its ability to manage multiple screens remotely. It offered a more seamless experience compared to other alternatives, making it ideal for our internal communication needs. We also chose OptiSigns because it provides excellent value for the price, offering all the key features we needed at a more affordable rate compared to other alternatives.

OptiSigns Review

3.0 2 months ago New

Comments: overall I have positive experience with optisigns as it is quite simple to implement by adding Raspberry Pi's to the network and allows controlling the content and user access effectively.

Pros:

I like the different features, add-ons, templates and how I can add and modify content remotely from my desk on any device I have access to.

Cons:

The user interface on the website is not very intuitive and I have a hard time trying to finding how to perform certain actions, especially with user access and adding users.

Optisigns is probably the easiest digital signage solution I've used

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: Purchase and setup went very smoothly. The software was very easy to learn - the hardest part ow deciding the layout I wanted to use. The installation has been rock solid and of the couple of issues that I did have tech support was very responsive.

Pros:

Simple setup and lots of different modules to use. The software is very responsive and push to clients is almost immediate.

Cons:

The management console can sometimes be cluttered

Alternatives Considered: digitalsignage.Net

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: PowerPoint was OK for a couple of displays but we expanded our displays to multiple locations

Switched From: Microsoft PowerPoint

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: Being a D1 Athletics Department communication and recognition is a top priority. Optisigns ease of use and great price allows us to show upcoming schedules, photos from past competitions, player highlights, and the weather all in a engaging way.

OptiSigns Keeps Our Workforce Informed and Engaged

5.0 2 months ago New

Pros:

OptiSigns makes it easy to communicate information to people in a way that is engaging and immediate. I love the ability to use their designs and templates or upload my creations and push them out to a number of locations so that our employees are informed, connected to the business and celebrated. Our employees especially appreciate being recognized for their work service anniversaries and their birthdays.

Cons:

I wish there was an easier way to schedule time sensitive posts to publish and be removed from playlists. I know this feature exists currently I just don't find it user friendly.

Alternatives Considered: ScreenCloud

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: Ease of content creation and management and implementation. Cost of product was in budget and sustainable long term.

Digital Signage is Breeze with OptiSigns!!

5.0 last month New

Pros:

OptiSigns is so wonderfully user-friendly! The product we were using before was a nightmare to initally set up and it would disconnect all the time and I'd have to call customer service every time to get it fixed. OptiSigns just works so much better!! The set up was a breeze and the app is so easy to use! I wish I would have found this product sooner!

Cons:

There is a monthly fee charge in addition to the price of the controller device, but compared to what we were using before which only lasted us about 2 years, it actually came out $5 cheaper to use OptiSigns. So not really a con, just something to be aware of!

Easy to use and effective

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: Effective, easy to use, and cost effective for our needs. Great job!

Pros:

The ease of use and the fact that it works on various hardware options. You are not locked into a specific hardware device. We had another system and the hardware device was very expensive.

Cons:

Not much to dislike about the OptiSigns System.

Simple and Affordable

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: It’s been pretty easy to use. You can manage all of your devices from the web page, or from the app. Setup is quick, and it’s easy to get the devices on your network.

Pros:

It’s affordable, and user friendly. They offered us a discount when we signed up, and have agreed to give it to us as long as we are open.

Cons:

Originally, the android sticks were not great quality, and you couldn’t hard-line in Ethernet. They have since redesigned the android sticks to a more reliable solution, and it has an Ethernet port on it.

Great hospitality upgrade in our restaurant!

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Our goal was to do an upgrade from our regular TV and USB stick setup, which was a pain to manage and therefore very static. We have started a 30-day trial, which is great because of a lack of pressure. Spare time is very limited in the restaurant business. So this gave us plenty of time to evaluate and test out its features. Not requiring a credit card is also nice. Furthermore, the restaurant business is always clamoured for budget. Especially in these Covid-times. Giving us the opportunity to go forward with cheap hardware and software investments (most of the parts were already in place) and delivering a works-just-fine experience is a pleasant surprise. Going forward gave us (all of the personnel) great ideas to pursue with our new found digital signage solution.

Pros:

Most prominent features for us are the smooth integrations with the Socials. Instagram and Facebook (business) feeds were a breeze to setup. As well as our Google and FB reviews. This is just great to see for our customers (feedback) as well as our personnel (pride of work). Note: Some other offerings failed totally at or did not support this at all. Any media type (pictures and video) we have thrown at it so far works just right out of the box. Whether in landscape or portrait mode. And being able to fling together a picture with captions, icons and stickers at a moment’s notice is great! The flow from recording on your phone to showing on screen takes 15 minutes. It just works stable and like a charm on our 'low-end' hardware, like our Mi TV Sticks (Android TV). Haven't seen any crashes yet. And rest assured that the app will recover and update itself in case of any issues. Very good set-and-forget setup.

Cons:

Having just trialed OptiSigns for a couple of weeks now we have not come across any issues of mention yet. Surely it may lack some super detailed or niche feature sets, customization options or device management others may offer, but the pricing per screen completely makes up for that. The management system may be a bit overwhelming for our employees to self-manage. So management of assets may remain with me, the IT admin, such is life. Although this may be overcome with giving them e.g. access to a Google Slides presentation and incorporate that. And of course, the social and other feeds update themselves automatically. If OptiSigns ever would offer an easy fool-proof phone/tablet-to-screen (iOS and Android) content-creation phone app to manage assets this would be a killer solution!

Alternatives Considered: Look Digital Signage, ScreenCloud and TelemetryTV

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: The price-performance comparison is favorable for OptiSigns. It did everything we required and more at a reasonable price per screen. It just works great on low-end hardware. Which is fantastic if your organisation is working on a tight budget. Going from static images to using social feeds and videos is already a huge step forward for us. Having other options available to us in the future (better hardware and further apps to explore) only adds to our excitement to build on this.

Very functional mobile app and easy to adjust content from anywhere

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: The ease of use, ability to schedule content from anywhere, and quality of playback using OptiSigns has been a gamechanger for us. We continue to find new ways to engage our guests now that we have unlocked so many possibilities with a platform that stays up to date with technological changes in the industry.

Pros:

It is so easy to schedule content, edit playlists and switch out media.

Cons:

There are some small interface issues with scheduling custom repeating events that show up here and there. This is not a major issue as it can be solved by refreshing and recreating the event, but it is worth refining. I also would like to see the emergency message center added to the mobile app, and a bit quicker response on the support side. These are all things that I believe will be improved as this platform continues to grow.

Alternatives Considered: ScreenCloud

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: We will continue to use CenterEdge Advantage for many other aspects of our facility management. The Digital Signage platform they offer is not their main priority, nor is it the most important service they provided for us. We needed a more robust solution for signage, and OptiSigns delivered.

Switched From: CenterEdge Advantage

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: OptiSigns offered the features we needed for what we felt was a reasonable price. Many providers charge more for a system that is not as easy for entry-level employees to use and more tedious to update or set up.

Very good service

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: When the platform is working like it should, it´s perfect, great tools and ease of use.

Pros:

It´s a robust platform, it´s very easy to use and deploy, we can have hundreds of players working on multiple Teams.

Cons:

Some times there are problems with the servers and the service in general, like when I´m unable to upload content, unable to use Canva, White label platform doesn´t work like the official one.

Alternatives Considered: Signagecloud and OnSign TV

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: Broadsign it´s not a visual platform, it doesn´t have a friendly interface and it´s not easy to use for the final client, doesn´t have Templates and Apps.

OptiSigns Review

4.0 last year

Comments: Overall, we have had a pleasant experience with OptiSigns. It was a much better solution to our previous Digital Signage company and we are looking to expand the signage to more locations.

Pros:

OptiSigns was extremely easy to implement throughout our 15 branches and fit our budget. Scheduling content for specific locations was a plus for us as well.

Cons:

The On/Off Feature with the managed devices does not always work, we are still trying to iron this issue out.

Alternatives Considered: Yodeck

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: Using a WordPress site as our signage was not sustainable. In order to get updated content out, branches would have to refresh their computer. Having a platform that automatically refreshed content allowed us to be light on our feet in terms of marketing and promotions.

Switched From: WordPress

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: The portal was much more user friendly and OptiSigns had the ability to schedule the devices to turn on and off themselves.

Best Digital Signage Platform on the Market

5.0 last year

Comments: OptiSigns allows me update 3 large TV screens spread across two different floors of our agency. I'm using video, still images, an Instagram connected feed, local weather widget and other media on occasion and through playlists can set things just the way I want. Troubleshooting remotely is a blessing and it's low cost just sweetens the whole deal!

Pros:

The intuitive setup and ease of use when working with media of all sorts really helped get content on our agency's screens quickly and easily. The added plug-ins for social helped too because it reduced the amount of content that we have to update manually – we get just set, adjust and tweak until we get the desired result. Perfect!

Cons:

This isn't really a knock on OptiSigns, but our pain point was working with BrightSign players and their terrible interface to even get to OptiSigns. Once the endless provisioning and reboots were complete, selecting and using a partner software for the players were a breeze.

Alternatives Considered: Yodeck

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: enPlug's pricing made renewing with them prohibitive. We had not renewed during the pandemic since we were out of the office, but starting back up led us to look around at what alternatives would work best for us in terms of price and functionality.

Switched From: Yodeck

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: Pricing and features were the number one reason to start the free trial as a test run to make sure it offered everything we needed. The fact that it checked all the boxes and was simple to use made it a no brainer.

Optisigns and Outstanding, Incredible, and Versatile Product

5.0 12 months ago

Comments: I feel that Optisigns may be the best product on the market to create and maintain TV displays in use at corporate offices, retail and food establishments, educational establishments and more. The product is easy to understand, and use, but the options and features that are available seem endless. So far my experience with Optisigns has been amazing, I have been amazed at what I have been able to create using Optisigns. You can create online menus, online signage loops, emergency notifications which can be controlled remotely to be displayed only in certain areas and on demand, the options and featured through Optisigns are numerous, but are exciting to test and see. I enjoy working with the Optisigns applications, and I marvel at my testing and at what I have so far been able to create. Thank you Optisigns for providing such a versatile product filled with so many options and features.

Pros:

The Optisigns application did not limit me to a layout design, it allowed me to create a screen layout as needed to display the video content as requested by the corporate Director of Media and Communications. I was able to create multiple screen display on a single split screen which was split into many smaller display areas. I also use the scheduling feature to automatically schedule different screen contents based on the time of day. With the use of playlists I was able to further automate the content of the displays. I am always testing the Optisign application features to see what features are available, recently one test was to display a Birthday celebration message for our office manager, it was timed perfectly and on schedule, it consisted of a video and playlist, the office manager was quite happy with what was displayed when she walked into our main reception area. Support for the Optisigns product is amazing, if I encountered any issues, I would contact technical support and almost immediately receive a response from [sensitive content hidden] with a solution. Optisigns is an amazing product, it has so many options and features that it allows an admin to create and control signs and displays for any event, or business. One quick tip, if you are trying to accomplish something that seems impossible with Optisigns, contact Technical Support, more likely the Optisigns application will allow you to accomplish what you wish. I learned to think outside of the box with Optisigns. I highly recommend this product.

Cons:

I so far have not encountered some feature, option, or situation with the Optisigns product application, this is why I keep testing and trying the various options available. There is so much to try and be amazed at. If and when I encounter something I will provide an update.

Alternatives Considered: NoviSign

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: Hypersign features and options were limited, the cost was expensive, and the support was not prompt at providing a response to an issue. What made us decide to switch to a new product was that the Chromebox on which Hypersign was installed, would receive a chrome update for a new release and features within Hypersign which were in use, no longer functioned correctly, because it was not supported within Hypersign which was now running on a newer release of chrome. I was infomed by the technical support team at Hypersign that I should consider upgrading the Chromebox being used. We switched to Optisigns and there no issues, and we have Optisigns running on the same Chromebox, now running the most current release of Chrome. With Hypersign, when a Chromebox update was received I would have to revert (restore) the older release of Chrome OS so that all features within Hypersign would function properly.

Switched From: Hypersign

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: While testing the Novisign application under a trial license, I encountered security issues, I created and deleted screens and then was not allowed to recreate a screen. I contacted support and they were not able to resolve the issue, I was not able to create a new screen. Support was looking for a cause to the issue, but it was taking much too long. I uninstalled the Novisign application and install and tested the Optisigns application as a trial, I was quite surprised at how quickly I was able to get our Signage display up and running, and as I tested the additional options and features, I was more impressed at this product. When I checked the cost of subscription, it was quite inexpensive and easy to sell back to corporate.

OptiScreen: Great features, but watch out for the cost!

5.0 10 months ago

Comments: Overall, we are very satisfied with OptiScreen. It has fully met our expectations in terms of functionality and ease of use. Despite the high cost, we would recommend it, especially for companies that value a professional and modern presentation. We hope that the cost structure will perhaps be adjusted in the future, especially for the European market.

Pros:

We at VOELKER Finance OHG are really enthusiastic about the versatile functions of OptiScreen. The ease of use and flexibility of the system is particularly helpful, allowing us to design our digital displays efficiently and creatively. It fits perfectly with our modern approach and the quality of the display is top notch. The ability to manage everything digitally has also helped us a lot in our day-to-day mobile work.

Cons:

The price is a bit of a damper. For a cool and modern company like us, quality is important, but the cost of OptiScreen is quite high. In addition, the shipping costs for the devices to Europe are quite steep, which is unfortunately a disadvantage for us as a company based in the Ore Mountains.

Opti Sign Review- 1-800-GOT-JUNK?

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: Great for the most part! More time and testing to come to see!

Pros:

I like that it is user friendly for the most part and allows me to create easy playlists for my TV's. I like the ease of setting up the digital dash devices too.

Cons:

Customer support isn't instant. I would like to just get answers right away. I also have had trouble integrating some of the apps.

Alternatives Considered: Yodeck

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: They were terrible and their design layout was confusing with the layer process. Constantly having issues and ZERO support to help. Timezone was different so it would be like 12 hours before hearing back on support.

Switched From: Yodeck

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: Tested it out and liked it. It seemed to work better then the other one that I tired. I also liked the sales person [sensitive content hidden] that I was working with. He's been great!

Great Value for the Money

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: OptiSigns has made our experience for displaying menus and advertising a breeze. They have even added to our abilities by allowing us to play music on our menu screen which we couldn't do before

Pros:

Coming from a different signage software, OptiSigns was easy to use and worked the way you wanted it to. Scheduling menus was a pain in our previous software, but OptiSigns makes this a breeze to use. The additional apps are a huge added value. The competition was charging extra on top of the subscription for some of the features that OptiSigns includes with the subscription.

Cons:

Some of the templates didn't seem very helpful for our restaurant. The menu templates were stuck in 1080p but we are displaying on 4k displays. The videos seem to get stuck when I turn the "shuffle" feature on for the playlists

Alternatives Considered: Yodeck

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: Scheduling for our breakfast and lunch menu was not working and the cost was much higher

Switched From: Raydiant

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: Yodeck utilizes the raspberry pi platform and there is an international shortage of this hardware so I could not try yodeck before subscribing

OptiSigns is Our Choice for 2 Businesses

5.0 last year

Comments: Excellent service and it seems like templates and content are updated on a monthly basis.

Pros:

I've tried * SignPresenter * Yodeck * OptiSigns I have found OptiSigns to be the best solution so far. The Canva templates help out to get the broadcast up and rolling quickly. Although it takes a bit getting used to, the scheduling of TVs and Playlists has allowed us to turn TVs off at night and/or provide music for patients to listen to as they sleep at night (by providing a playlist from YouTube).

Cons:

I use the Amazon FireStick on 12 different TVs with 2 different organizations and still found a solution for including live TV even after talking with technical support at OptiSigns. This would be the only reason we would consider another solutions.

Calling all libraries!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: We were in tough spot before we chose Optisigns. Our previous tech company had all our logins and had configured our TV for us. Now that we have Optisigns' software, we are in the driver's seat! PLUS we can link our Instagram feed and customize our playlists. So much better than just a Google slide on our TV!

Pros:

We all want our patrons to know what is new to the library and what programming is coming up. Digital signage makes that easy. Optisigns makes it easier! Creating playlists by dragging and dropping uploaded images, weather widgets and videos is simple and intuitive. We used a Firestick 4K with our existing TV and we were up and running in minutes!

Cons:

The website does use the same color for all of its information and boxes which causes my eye to wander a bit, trying to grab hold of something I'm looking for. A secondary color to indicate tasks I've already worked on would be great.

Alternatives Considered: Rise Vision and Google Slides

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: Our region changed tech support companies. All our login details and configurations were with our previous company.

Switched From: Rise Vision

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: The website is gorgeous! And it really does a great job of laying out the features in a way that allows you to visualize how your own project will look.

Comments: Love the product thus far

Pros:

I have TouchBistro and their digital menu did not work at all. I have searched and searched tried multiple trials and this was by far user user friendly and easy to use even if you are not tech savvy. I can add my continuous updates to the menu as we have to keep adjusting due to food costs and the shortages. It loads in seconds beautifully. I even mark out what items we sell out of. Don’t waste your time looking around!

Cons:

The symbols are a little lacking and could not change the color on the ones I wanted to use from the template. Also I could not find the font though it was used in the template. I hope as I learn how to upload and edit I think it won’t matter. I also wish I could set the font size with a number not a slider bar it’s to hard to get it exact but I managed to make it close.

Alternatives Considered: Kitcast

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: The digital menu only allows five categories and limited items in those categories. They told me their system was more for a food truck. So then why do you sell me a $20 a month product that doesn’t work for a restaurant when your system is for restaurants.

OptiSigns Rocks - Beats it's Competition

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: I actually could take advantage more of all the other features OptiSigns offers. This is a robust platform. I am determined to take a peek at these soon.

Pros:

Value was the first thing I appreciate about OptiSigns. It usually beats its competitor's pricing but you do not lose the features. And super easy to use as well.

Cons:

At this time, and I have used OptiSigns for almost 2 years, I do not have anything I don't like.

Alternatives Considered: ConnectWise ScreenConnect and ScreenCloud

Reasons for Choosing OptiSigns: I switched mainly because I was looking for another alternative with just as many feature for several screens at a more affordable monthly cost.

Switched From: ScreenCloud

Reasons for Switching to OptiSigns: It seemed like an overall simpler transistion to make the switch. Then also it seems to offer what the rest of screen marketing platforms offer.

Optisigns was super easy to learn (unlike other platforms). I had my first screen set up in minutes using my own digital content. The scheduling platform was super helpful to set up different menus for different times of the day. I love being able to update my signage remotely, as our menu can change on a daily basis. The support has been super helpful each time I've used them - quick and friendly replies both on email and phone. I highly recommend using them.

Cons:

Not much. As I've said, they've been great! My only complaint is with using the ROKU app. Because of ROKU's "sleep mode", I have to use a screensaver option on my ROKU TV using Optisigns. I don't know if anything has changed with this, but I know it's not really an Optisigns issue. Optisigns was able to put out a fix for this pretty fast, which I appreciated. It's a ROKU thing, and I already don't like ROKU. :)
