YouScan is a tool that simplifies the brand audit by providing crucial information about its strengths and weaknesses, consumer profiles and comments, top sources, influencers, etc. And we are a digital marketing agency that helps our clients grow sales and engage their audiences. With YouScan data and our professional expertise, we are able to give to our clients even more value.We appreciate the quantity of information YouScan collects as well as the versatility of its use, filtering, presentation, and reporting. Any viewpoint required can be obtained, and we can then present it to our client.We also enjoy asking Insights Copilot our questions because its intelligent and precise conclusions help us identify insights with minimal effords.

Cons:

The tool meets our needs exactly. Although we don't have any major concerns, YouScan is constantly being improved, so we always share our suggestions with our manager and support staff.

Highly recommend Yuscan to anyone who wants to stay ahead of the curve in managing brand reputation

Pros:

I work at medical laboratory environment, we were need of a solution to streamline and expedite our customer feedback tracking process. Manually sifting through feedback was not just time-consuming, but it often led to the discovery of already escalated discussions or situations that could have been readily averted had we been able to react more promptly. Yuscan became our ally in this, illuminating even the hidden corners of forums where feedback was left. It has also allowed us to spot untagged posts on social media where our company's name was simply mentioned.Also we use Yuscan alert system, any mention of key words or phrases triggers an immediate alert, which keeps me constantly informed and primed for action. With this tool, our awareness is heightened, enabling us to respond swiftly to potential crises or opportunities.Yuscan is not only invaluable for tracking customer feedback but it also offers allowing us to monitor our competitors. This has opened a window into understanding their communication topics and the channels they utilize, giving us deeper insights into our market landscape.I also liked their customer service. Their prompt, detailed, and amicable responses to my queries have shown me their profound understanding of their service, their passion for what they do, and their sincere value for their customers.

Cons:

It takes time and desire to learn how to work with the system. We spent a lot of time to choose the right keywords for our queries. But the customer support service is very helpful in this.

Great mentions collection, still to improve with analitics

Comments: Overall after we've built social listening ecosystem, where YouScan role is just data collection -- it is fine, excluding the pain of manual downloading of several thousand hundred mentions when one download is limited to 10 thousand

Pros:

Switching to YouScan from one of the international players helped us to gather much more posts in Russian. Also the software is better suited for local social networks.

Cons:

However, it is not designed for multi-branded and multi-category business, where you would like to track SOV of over 100 brands in 3 categories. The software doesn't provide such ability from the box, so it is used for data collection and analytics are done externally. Data transfer via API is available only at the most expensive plans. Stories are not captured.

Excellent costumer support

Comments: Customer support is excellent, they are very quick to answer and always available to help with a solution. They are also open to suggestions on how to improve their software.I highly recommend it.

Pros:

t's very user-friendly and visually appealing. Their sources are very varied and their AI tag is not perfect but very accurate. There are a lot of filters that make query writing and refining much easier. One small detail that makes a difference it tells you exactly what is wrong with your query so you can easily correct it. Other software I've used only tells you there's something wrong without highlighting where.

Cons:

Setting a date range can be tricky, collecting historical data with high mentions can take a full day. The visual insights are great but you can't download an excel file or pdf with the URL's collected, it needs to be done manually.

Great product from great team

Comments: I managed to change the company I work for, but not the monitoring service. We have been working for more than 5 years. I am satisfied with the product quality, the pace of development, and the customer service.

Pros:

The quality of data collection, the quality of support, a variety of analytics, and the ability to use the service by different teams.

Cons:

Working with Facebook. But this is not a problem specific to any monitoring service.

Pros:

When working with our clients, we try to learn as much as we can about their business and the profiles of people who might benefit from their products or services so that we can develop the most effective strategy for their business and target the right audience. The data that YouScan gives us, including audience analysis, key customer pain points, and overall brand reputation, really helps us with this.The data is easy to work with because the system provides a variety of tools for cleaning and customizing large data sets, creating dashboards, and downloading reports. We also like to ask the recently added AI assistant, Insight Copilot, various questions, and its answers are always right on target.

Cons:

The data we receive is very helpful, but it also has some limitations in terms of audience due to privacy laws and social media platform restrictions. We have to accept that

Pros:

What really makes YouScan stand out is how it's priced. Their "Starter" package shows they get what small businesses and startups need – great social listening tools at affordable prices. It's packed with all the essential features but at a cost that's manageable for growing companies.

Cons:

YouScan's array of features, while impressive, requires extensive learning for newcomers. The good thing, though, is that they have an online Academy and a Knowledge Base. CS team is also supportive when we have any questions.

Comments: As a global research and communications company, we deliver our clients with rigorous research on media trends and narratives. YouScan enables us to collect and analyse data from various platforms and develop insights on digital media coverage and social media conversations on some of the most relevant political and socio-economic issues of the day.

Pros:

The system allows filtering data by pre-existing categories, as well as creating customised tags and automation rules that can be applied separately or in combination with each other. Using YouScan’s Analytics section, we can visualise media trends within the system’s interface and then export these data into our graphs. Additionally, the system works with historical data, which makes it fit for retrospective and long-term media and narrative analysis.

Cons:

It took us over a week to set up all the categories for analysis and add the outlets of interest. But the support team was helpful along the way and facilitated the setup.

Comments: We are happy with YouScan and will definitely recommend it to our peers. We managed to efficiently perform brand tracking and make some improvements to our offerings based on customer feedback that we collected with YouScan.

Pros:

The tool provides powerful analytical capabilities that we use on a regular basis. For example, trends allow us to track if there are any emerging discussions that can potentially harm our brand. We can also easily work with data thanks to filters, as they categorize mentions by complaints, recommendations, comparisons, etc. The platform also has analytical dashboards that we can customize how we need and share with our c-level management.

Cons:

There was a problem with the speed of history data collection, but recently the team significantly improved it.

Comments: YouScan has impressive coverage of social media sources, ensuring we get all important mentions. The tool keeps improving overall. The team is very customer-centric, quick to respond, and helpful whenever we need to clarify something.

Pros:

YouSacn lets us pay close attention to our audience's opinions and popular discussion topics. It's handy for spotting trends that come and go with the seasons and how these trends affect what users say online. The Audience Analysis feature helps us catch any shifts in the audience's interests. Thus, we can adjust our communications based on fresh, real-time data.

Cons:

We haven't run into any significant issues. It would be great to see even more flexible customer dashboards.

Comments: We analyze mentions of some important political messages or government institutions. Daily monitoring helps us understand which messages have the potential to be spread, who are the main authors and what influence do they have. All these (and not only these) things help different political institutions work more promptly in their daily communication, respond in a timely manner to the fakes and build more adequate communication strategy, be more flexible and modern. All data become the ground for decisions.

Pros:

We really admired by the work with this software and all the team who creates and develops this product. We use YouScan for specific socio-political purposes that is why the most important things are the possibility identify trends, possibility to work with the big data. These our requests are satisfied with the product more over very client oriented position of the support team allows to solve all questions as prompt as it possible.

Cons:

I can`t say that we really suffer from absence some things that we need but it will be great to have the opportunity to work with even more complex reports. When we can download data with the author identification and full information about him. Now we can do that but in two different files - author report and general analytics. One more important thing - correct identification of the connotation. We really need it very much but now it is incorrect.

Convenient filters that allow you to work with different data segments within the same topic. Pros:

1. Stable, reliable social media listening and analytics tool with extensive coverage, including YouTube, TikTok, and Telegram.2. YouScan provides unparalleled visual insights.3. Good value for money.4. They constantly working to improve the tool and actually listen to feedback from customers. The product team pays a lot of attention to details. Every new feature has been carefully thought through.

Cons:

1. No Twitter firehose. Searching for historic data older than 30 days might cost extra. However, once the query is set up you get 100% of the conversation.2. YouScan's architecture takes a little adjustment, but once you get it it's easy from there.3. Support is based in Europe, so American clients have a few blackout hours a day. Other than that support is very knowledgeable and fast.

Really happy with this monitoring tool's capabilities

Comments: We use YouScan to monitor our brand mentions and our main competitors. The product is easy to use and has a lot of useful features, so I enjoy working with it. But even more, I enjoy working with the YouScan team - everyone from sales to support does their best to help me solve my tasks and provide me with top-notch service.

Pros:

YouScan covers a wide range of online media, including social networks, blogs and channels, so we get mentions in all languages and from every country where our business has a presence. The data is all shown in a way that makes it easy to follow and use. Also we can customize dashboards and create reports.Recently, we started using a new feature - Insights Copilot Assistant - and it amazes us every time as we get very smart answers to most of our questions instantly.

Cons:

I've had no problems using this product at this point, so I'm happy with this choice

A modern tool with bright opportunities

Pros:

YouScan is one of the major players on the Social Media Listening field. The project was created in 2009. It has good range of data collection and analysis tools and provides users with simple and friendly interface. One of the key features of the service allows users to gather desired amounts of historical data by quite decent pricing options. During the years, YouScan has developed the number of machine learning tools & capabilities to help clients get faster and better results. The service aggregates all types of Social data from vast range of sources (including VK, Facebook and Instagram), blogs, forums, Telegram, traditional Online media. YouScan team provides top-notch customer care services. As a research entity, we always had specific approach to the tool, having constant support of the team with all our needs and requests.

Cons:

API services are a subject to further development & improvement. In some cases, which include big amounts of data, current API restrictions may cause unexpected and non-desired obstacles during data collection and processing.

Comments: We appreciate this collaboration because YouScan meets all of our monitoring needs and the YouScan team offers superb assistance at all levels and plenty of educational content (including articles, webinars, and certification).

Pros:

With YouScan, we can easily identify and track influencers, identify customer needs and market trends, keep an eye on metrics, and even occasionally find new leads, although that is not the primary use of the tool. We appreciate the tool's comprehensive monitoring capabilities, the organization of the data, and the ease with which we can create dashboards and reports. The AI assistant that analyzes the data set and responds to our queries is another excellent feature.

Cons:

We're pretty happy with this choice, so I have nothing to add here.

An irreplaceable tool for PR managers

Comments: YouScan is a very user-friendly platform. We didn't need to spend that much time learning how to use it. You can open the interface and start working. And even if questions arise, you can find an answer in YouScan's knowledge base or talk to their friendly support.

Pros:

YouScan has everything that PR managers need to be effective. With this platform, it’s easy to track brand health, be the first to know about heated brand-related discussions, and protect the company from reputation crises. In addition, YouScan provides capabilities to find influencers and evaluate collaborations with them.

Cons:

With YouScan, you can’t monitor Instagram stories. Unfortunately, there are no tools on the market that can provide access to this data.

Essential for market research and reporting

Pros:

Since we provide various types of market reports to our clients, including competitive analysis, industry analysis, and trend analysis, we use YouScan to quickly gather and analyze available online data. We like how easily and quickly we can create new topics and gather the information we need, either about the specific market, company, or topic. Because YouScan includes numerous analysis and reporting options, it organizes the data for us, so then we can draw conclusions and make decisions based on the data.

Comments: We need to collect and process 100K+ of mentions per day about our company and services. YouScan API integration help us a lot with this. The user-friendly interface and system capabilities allow us to find mentions and receive notifications about all new posts on the relevant topic.

Pros:

Unlimited number of users with different access levels, the ability to create rule markup, convenient analytics interface and auto-categories. Stable operation of the system and support, which quickly helps with setting up new themes, deserves a high rating!

Cons:

I would like to have flexible settings for alarm notifications.

Pros:

In general, we use all aspects of the software regularly, but we particularly like audience insights, which help us better understand our client's audience and adjust the communication strategy accordingly. We also appreciate the geography (it doesn't matter where our customers come from, because YouScan has worldwide data and supports different languages), and the reporting (which is simple to share with the client to back our recommendations and decisions).

Cons:

We would love to have more of automated metrics on the Audience Insights functionality to measure authors and influencers

Comments: I use YouScan for 7 years. I like the system. It helps me in my day to day work a lot.

Pros:

Easy to use, good customer support, good system.

Cons:

Glitch from time to time. Telephone support is not 24/7. Pricey. New image search is very expensive — I can't offer this new feature to the clients. Not all mentions are in the system. Not all managers are very competent.

Comments: The system has many valuable features so that managers from different teams can use it for their own purposes. The most impressive technology provided by YouScan is visual analytics as it allows us to track mentions that we could not find before, for example, a photo of our product (with logo on it) without any text caption.

Pros:

We've chosen YouScan for its robust image recognition capabilities. Along with other smart features, the tool lets us perform different types of tasks effectively.

Cons:

At first, we were overwhelmed by the vast choice of features and could not prioritize them. But we've got huge help from the client success managers starting from detecting the best strategy for us, ending up forming the searching queries.

Versatile monitoring tool

Comments: The system allows us to be aware of our current position on the market, collect relevant customer feedback, and better understand the possible directions for our business.

Pros:

We've chosen YouScan as it can cover multiple objectives within several departments at a time. For example, the marketing team I'm a part of focuses on detecting trends, finding insights for our strategy, and, of course, monitoring the campaigns' results.

Cons:

Even though the system is user-friendly, sometimes we just don't have enough resources to conduct complex research. In such cases, we order custom research provided by YouScan's dedicated team. Yes, it requires additional payment, but the results are worth it.
