Great tool for visualising and providing focus areas

Comments: Overall experience has been great - interaction with teh account manager has been fantastic - they re always eager to help and always eager to get our feedback on tools and features which is nice. We have enjoyed using teh tool and have gained great benefits from it and would love to continue this journey with futures

Pros:

The radar element of the platform is what we use teh most and love how easy it is to use and edit. It allows us to stay on top of future trends that could impact us as an organisation and drive better strategic decision making

Cons:

Each add on feature comes at a large cost or incremental costs that add up - some features as small as colour coding tagging etc shouldn't cost that much and proves difficult to convince inhouse that they are essential and required - cost benefit doesn't add up

Comments: The Futures Platform provides me with the data I need to deliver high impact projects for my clients. It is an expensive product relative to some others, however the value for money exists for me and my clients due to the high quality nature of the data, the robust methodologies used and the online tools available. I find the Futures Platform team from the [sensitive content hidden] to marketing to sales and customer service to be very accessible and friendly with a strong commitment to providing an excellent product and service.

Pros:

As a consultant having access to a high quality source of emerging change and trend data, built by academically trained futurists is very important to my work. The Futures Platform allows me to quickly and accurately build a foresight radar containing relevant data points that myself and my clients can use to discuss, challenge and interrogate futures that support robust scenario creation and business decision making. The emerging change and trend data covers a wide range of areas that can be used across multiple industries and client use cases. The data, reference sources and news links are contemporary and regularly updated. The foresight radar tool provides a clear and engaging visualisation of data that improves accessibility, learning and knowledge sharing.

Cons:

The inbuilt collaboration tools are OK but I still use my own surveys to gather impact and probability rankings and client feedback. The inbuilt collaboration tools work best with long term projects with a large audience. For shorter projects with smaller teams my own tools provide a more personalised client experience.

Pros:

Always up to date contents and thought provoking insightful scenarios. The links to origins of the used materials are open and trustworthy. No fake news. My customers have liked it a lot.

Cons:

Some forms of exported reports could be more styled.

Future Platform Review

Comments: Tremendously helpful. All the tools have enabled us to complete tasks we set out to do. We have also learned a lot about industry and trends not easy to find elsewhere.

Pros:

Wide range of tools available. Radars are a great concept to map data, compare trends and visualize threats. Within the phenomenon there is lots of valuable information and sources of to help broaden understanding of the subject.Collaboration tools are brilliant to encourage collaboration and communicate with other individuals or groups. Helps in gaining an understanding of other opinions and perspectives which makes our work un-biased.

Cons:

Visual and functional design of background space on radar screen. Would be nice to have secondary functionalities that expands the capabilities of the radar and its tools.

Best business partners in Foresight process

Comments: Working with the Futures Platform has always been a enriching and good for the business, this type of relationships are the ones that are shaping the future of the industry.

Pros:

-The quality of their content is quite high, as well as their service... They are always present. -The inputs they are able to supply to the Strategic thinking are a must nowadays.

-Further training and education can help the implementation

A Powerful Platform for Foresight Activities

Comments: We conduct horizon scanning activities through building futures radars in futures platform which help us significantly in our futures studies especially in terms of identifying the future trends, signals of change and wild cards

Pros:

- The software is user friendly - The content is rich and insightful - The collaboration tools are very useful to get other views and perspectives

Cons:

- As a coordinator, the software need to add monitoring features like if any editor add/remove/change anything in the radar, the latest activities are shown to the radar users. - I suggest that futures platform should integrate with "Mural" so the users can hold workshops and work with customizable templates within the platform
