Great Quality, Affordable Asset Tracking Tool from a Great Company

Comments: So far, the experience has been great. The Itemit team has been really supportive during onboarding and we're really appreciative for that help - we're looking forward to seeing how the tool functions into 2022 as it replaces our existing spreadsheets.

Pros:

Nice, accessible user interface that's appealing and intuitive to use. It's extremely convenient to add items to the account and update them with new information.

Cons:

There's no way to upload items in bulk with CSV yourself, though they offer an import service during onboarding.

Itemit

Comments: We have taken PA Testing in house and are able to store the information and upload photographic evidence under the product. Ease of locating information for audit purposes.

Pros:

Ease of use, being able to upload service reports, set reminders and record all information. Customer Services are helpful. Ease of finding information for audit purposes.

Cons:

It can be slow at times, report function especially. Live Chat function is not as quick as it was previously. Aluminum tags do not fit on all items and only come in one size option. Report option could be easier to find information. Cannot set templates for Reminders, Information etc as multiple users means lots of duplicate text fields.

Pros:

Phone App and Scanning, easy software to use.Web based enables attachments like photos and documents.

Cons:

Reporting is slow, and not easy to use. Ability to customise the reports.

itemit is an essential tool for equipment management

Comments: Being able to itemize, manage, and track 900+ items of equipment.

Pros:

Its intuitive use, being able to see the location of where an item was last checked in/out, and the ability to upload user guides to the items.

Cons:

System glitches, e.g. items checked in via the app don't update on the web version and vise versa.

Excellent customer service, great product for reasonable price

Comments: Product is easy to use and customisable to many use cases.

The customer service from Itemit is always excellent, personable and timely.

Cons:

Initial set up to customise in the most logical way takes time but is worth it.

Easy to use product with minimal set up assistance, at a good price.

Comments: It's been a really smooth process to implement and the process has bedded in easily.

Pros:

How simple it is to set up the structure - we only required a basic asset management tool and this fitted the bill perfectly. Many other products we reviewed were overly complex and expensive in comparison.

Cons:

Occasionally we have issues with incorrect bar code readings and have to re-scan items.

Easy to use, and helps track equipment

Comments: Good for chasing people with equipment, or to see who has what in a large company.

Pros:

Being able to see who has checked out items, so we can do inventory checks

Sometimes the app crashes or doesn't show the information properly

Pros:

The ease of use is wonderful - scanning items that randomly appear in our office is a very common use!

Cons:

N/a I thin any issues we had originally have been fixed with updates over the last few years!

Great system

Pros:

Itemit is a simple system that can be built out to include a lot of valuable data for all assets across a business. They're also very responsive when I've made a feature suggestion/reported a bug previously; they're always trying to improve it.

Cons:

At first there were a couple of features that I thought we wouldn't use, however after using the system for a good while now, there's different ways to use some of the features, that are in addition to the way it's meant to be used.

Value for money and easy to deploy.

Comments: Overall it has been easy to rollout and given us much greater accuracy when it comes to tracking our assets.

Pros:

Very easy to use and our mobile staff find the app simple.

Cons:

Can be glitchy when the mobile signal is poor.

Replacing our Spreadsheets

Comments: Positive - not really had chance to use it much as we're still in crossover period, but envisage us relying on it for our calibrated equipment pretty heavily

Pros:

Support in making this product work for our needs was really good

Cons:

Upload en-masse of existing certification for specific inventory could have been a lot smoother rather than having to upload everything individually

A much needed solution to manage our assets.

Comments: This tool seemed to fit our needs and more. Early days but totally confident we have what we need to manage our growing asset list.

Pros:

Being able to tag items with Custom QR Tags which are readable using a mobile phone.The abilty to import your existing asset spreadsheet and add as much information as you need.

Cons:

Having the option to change the way all your assets are displayed when opened. Sorry if there is an option.Currently set to alphabetical order.

Innovative & thoughtful solution

Pros:

Itemit was designed with users & business requirements at the core.

Cons:

Nothing really works for what we need. Perhaps some health & safety checking automation (especially helpful for remote workers). An audit trail for end users of the items (without having them as logged-in paid users) would be nice.

A great simple solution that fits our needs

Comments: ItemIt has solved a long standing issue of knowing where our equipment is and de-conflicting equipment needed between multiple projects and users. In a newly remote working environment it has also allowed us to easily and effectively keep track of sometimes expensive equipment that is being used at remote locations and peoples homes.

Pros:

ItemIt matched our use case of managing and tracking equipment in an R&D lab setting where changing project requirements and an innovation led environment meant we needed a system that could keep up and be flexible enough to meet these demands. The ability to link QR codes to both locations and items coupled with the mobile app means asset tracking in our lab has become simple and beneficial to our 40+ engineers and all equipment is now tracked effectively by individuals.

Cons:

We would like to see improvements to reporting so we can more easily do periodic audits, we would also like to be able to assign more fine grained permissions to users so that we can empower our engineers to take an even greater ownership of the lab and assets.

Simple asset management and issue tracker

Comments: We realized early on that as we moved all our field team to exclusively working away from the office we needed a better way to organise our equipment with the ability for the team to report issues remotely.

Pros:

Our main use for the software is inventory management, we have a large volume of equipment booked out to our field team that needs to be tracked.

Cons:

Can be a little concluded to learn all the features on offer but once you are up and running it is highly adaptable

Not perfect but best asset management I have seen so far

Comments: Overall works so much better than the two systems I have tested so far, we can now track all our organization assets such as smartphones, laptops, camping equipment, etc Easier to manage asset movements from one employee to another and track asset history.

Pros:

Can be used both on the web and mobile App, makes it easy to use in any platform; very reasonable pricing; custom fields can be added per item, makes it easier to add item specifications and sometimes accessories; Supports asset tagging with barcodes and QR codes, makes it easy to quickly scan-to-identify an item; the best, quick customer support every time we had a problem; Asset check-in and check-out functionality; asset issue reporting and issue tracking;

Cons:

You can't persist custom fields for future added items, you have to recreate every time you add; Asset list UI can be improved to include asset thumbnails; The mobile app offline experience does not consistently work; Developers should consider adding a refresh feature while online to refresh data and pull new assets.

Ideal inventory registration and tracking solution

Comments: Itemit has become invaluable to us, as we often have to leave large amounts of expensive equipment on the sites of our work, in the presence of clients and/or other contractors but otherwise unattended, sometimes for several weeks at a time. Occasionally, items would become unaccounted for either by being misplaced or overlooked, being moved by other contractors, etc. Our use of itemit means this is both less likely to happen, and easier to resolve on the occasions it does.

Pros:

The app provides a simple-to-use, time-efficient solution for geographical tracking of our inventory hired out to site. It also allows to set maintenance reminders and monitor equipment servicing. The ability to filter and export data for external analysis is extremely useful as well.

Cons:

An additional feature for tracking time at current location for each piece of inventory would be a useful addition, but all the existing features work well and the app is easy to use overall.

Great Solution For Tracking Products

Comments: The support team have been excellent from the early stages when we were assessing a number of providers, through a trial period to help the evaluation process right through to training and feedback from the teams using the software. That's the aspect that impresses me most is the after sales support

Pros:

The simplicity and ease of use. Also the metal barcode tags are really good too as many of the items we need to track are long and frequently have an oil based coating on them and the stick on labels aren't really ideal for

Cons:

We don't use the full functionality of the software but what we use is ideal for us

A fantastic time saving piece of software

Comments: IT emit has made a very tedious task a breeze to do. You can quickly add and tag new assets to your register using the app, and add new information in a flash. Gone are the days of huge excel files, everything is in one app, search and update in seconds. Fantastic!

Pros:

Instantly add photo's to your assets. Track your assets using QR codes and see their location on a map. Extract data in CSV format. Ability to add own tags in app.

Cons:

Would be nice if the app supported the new iPhone X resolutions and also to be designed for iPads!

Comments: Overall so far I am enjoying using ITEMIT and the support given by the team is superb, quick and very helpful

I like the fact that it is cloud based and not tied to a a machine or hardware, I like the concept of being able to tag our products and then to be able to read them easily

As we have gone along the user process there are a number of areas where I have found the system a bit clunky and not giving me enough functionality to record bespoke aspects for me.aspects
