Use of the Term “Template” – I found the terminology around “templates” a bit confusing at first. For example, a recurring work order (commonly referred to as a “PM”) is listed as a “PM Template.” Initially, I hesitated to create one because I thought I was being asked to build a reusable framework rather than the actual PM itself. In my mind, a “PM Template” would refer to a standardized format, frequency, or instruction set used to create PMs—what this system calls “Instruction Set Templates.” > > Our organization had been using one of those big name CMMS platforms — you know the one: clunky, painfully expensive, impossible to customize without a certified “system wizard,” and riddled with error messages. The layout looked like it hadn’t been updated since Windows 98, and don’t even get me started on the lack of support. We needed something better and started our search. At first glance, it honestly looked too good to be true — user-friendly, a free mobile app, completely configurable and scalable, with calendars, asset tracking, and 24/5 support… all for about one-fifth the price we were paying? There had to be a catch. Spoiler alert: there wasn’t. We set up a few demos with the Limble team so our users could get hands-on and ask questions. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and it was clear this was the right fit for us. Migration from our old platform was the toughest part — not because of Limble, but because our previous system’s data exports were a mess.
