Learn more about LastPass

Pros:

It was free and very simple to use. I decided to subscribe to the paid version, and I had some of the best customer service, but some of the premium features fell below my expectations (more below).

Cons:

If lastpass has an outage, you can't login to any platform and that can ruin your day. You can't put a setting on lastpass that says keep me logged in for the next 4 hours.

A very good password manager!

5.0 11 months ago

Pros:

LastPass is one of the first software I install on any new device. I very much like it's ability to sync passwords across devices, including AutoFill even on iPhone and iPad. At the moment I couldn't do without it!

Cons:

There is nothing not to like, really. I am a massive fan.

Lastpass failings after breach

1.0 11 months ago

Comments: Lastpass suffered a breach, and they were not transparent about what had happened, providing very little information for months. They also neglected to increase the iterations of the Password-Based Key Derivation Function on older accounts, making them far more susceptible to having those passwords eventually brute forced. Although they have remedied this post-breach, we are not comfortable using them moving forward.
If you're new to lastpass, you're likely secure at this point, but they dropped the ball with long time users.

Pros:

We used this product for years and found it extremely easy to use, but had to leave after their lack of transparency surrounding a breach. It is a good password manager and easy to use, but we are no longer comfortable using this service.

Cons:

Lack of transparency after they experienced a breach.

Does what it says on the tin: Password management with some useful features

5.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall, makes me a lot more productive. I need a password manager, so it does the job but the added bonus of the autofilling on forms is great. I'm not sure what other features I'd like, perhaps easier backups both local and to a backup location of my choice E.g. my cloud storage would be good.

Pros:

The cloud integration/browser integration is the safest I've used. Really intuitive enabling you to autofill usernames/passwords saving a lot of time other alternatives where you have to search for the one you want

Cons:

Sometimes it's slow or laggy, especially if I have a load of tabs open, or am too fast/slow at clicking I can close it before it works. I do have the paid version but I don't feel like you get much more than the password management in terms of features.

Cons:

Facilitate your password list

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: The whole company uses LastPass as ist allows you to collect and secure your passwords all at once. We use the app for 2-factor-authentication as well. LastPass also recogninzes new passwords and automatically asks you whether you want to add them to your password list. It also realizes new data and refreshes it. The programm also sets up hard passwords by itself.

Pros:

LastPass is the easiest way to collect all your passwords and keep them safe. You basically cannot forget your passwords anymore because LastPass already knows your password, so you only have to remember LastPass' password to have all your access data at hand.

Cons:

To have the maximum security, you have to use a mulitfactor authenticator which is exhausting but I geuss its needed.

My experiencie with LastPass

5.0 2 months ago

Comments: It has been an extraordinary experience and it is the solution that has met most of our needs

Pros:

Automatically fills in login information on websites and apps, saving you time and hassle. Store secure notes for things like credit card information, Wi-Fi passwords, and software licenses. Securely share passwords and notes with others. LastPass has a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to manage your passwords and other data and integrates with popular web browsers for seamless password management.

Cons:

Sometimes errors occur with autofill or syncing between devices. LastPass only offers to store data in the cloud, and some of us would like the option to keep our passwords stored locally.

LastPass is a great tool to keep your logins secure.

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: My overall experience with LastPass is good. They have a 2 step multi authenticator to get into lastpass. After that your login's should autofill to the correct websites if you have them saved. The only thing is if you let LastPass generate a password for you it is unique but odds are you won't know it unless you have access to LastPass which is okay for certain things like work related websites.

Pros:

What I like about LastPass is that you are able to keep any passwords (& usernames and any additional information) all in one place. LastPass also help generate unique passwords. You can also share passwords securely.

Cons:

The thing I like least is sometimes if someone shares a login with you but doesn't send it so that the password will update if they update it. Sometimes it won't autofill on the website either and you have to go into lastpass and launch it.

Effective and useful

5.0 6 months ago

Pros:

Passwords sync well between devices and between users. As a large team that shares accounts, the syncing feature working great is needed. The autofill feature works really work and never lets you down.

Cons:

It would be nice to have a quicker and more intuitive way to generate passwords quickly from the input fields. At the moment, I have to go to the LastPass browser extension and to the Generate Password tab.

Forget All of Yours Passwords, Except One

5.0 last year

Comments: LastPass has been great to use, both personally and professionally, working as an entrepreneur and within an organization. Any faults are easy to overlook when you can store and manage hundreds of unique, randomly generated passwords across multiple devices.

Pros:

Securely generating strong and unique passwords reduces the risk of data breaches and keeps accounts safe. It also reduces the mental load in trying to create and remember complex passwords and makes sharing passwords very easy.

Cons:

The browser extension search is often slow and sometimes unresponsive to search queries. Sharing passwords also sometimes requires a sign out and sign in in order to access the shared site.

7/10 System

4.0 last year

Pros:

As a pure password management system, it works pretty well at the essentials of what it should do: autofill passwords that I have previously saved. It is nice that it always requests to save new passwords as well.

Cons:

I have experienced difficulties in sharing passwords through LastPass - they didn't work for me and then it tried to screw everything up by saving the password that didn't work for that login.

Excellent product for high grade security

5.0 9 months ago

Pros:

Great feature that I can save passwords, addresses, and even card details, all in one secure place.

Cons:

It had one small bug, instead of updating the login details from a certain website, it saved the details as a new login account.

Great password manager

4.0 last year

Comments: Using LastPass feels great! The interface is extremely intuitive and it just works.

Pros:

Using LastPass feels extremely easy. While the user interface is very simple, you can do pretty much everything you would expect from a password manager, and you really feel like you are home when using it, as everything is extremely intuitive.I've tested other password managers in the past, and I can say that by far LastPass is the most reliable one when it comes to being able to get it to work in your browser for autofills, which is great as this is probably the most common use case.

Cons:

The interface could look and feel a bit more modern.Recently there was a data breach, which they managed very well, but still, it feels like this is not the type of thing you'd like to see happening with your password manager.

Secure and Convenient Password Management with LastPass

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: LastPass has been my trusted password management tool for over 2 years. Its seamless and secure approach has simplified my digital life, ensuring my passwords are protected while granting convenient access whenever and wherever I need it. LastPass is a reliable solution that I have recommended to various people, some of whom have been hacked in the past and were seeking to streamline and secure their password management.

Pros:

For more than 2 years, I've relied on LastPass as my ultimate password tool, and it has proven to be an invaluable asset in securely managing my passwords. LastPass offers a seamless solution that keeps all my login credentials in one secure vault, sparing me the headache of juggling multiple passwords. One standout feature is LastPass's ability to generate strong, unique passwords for each site. This eliminates the temptation to reuse weak passwords and fortifies the security of my online accounts.

Cons:

Currently, I utilize the free version of LastPass, which meets my requirements. However, it comes with the limitation of being available on only one device, either mobile or laptop. Initially, having LastPass saved on my laptop allowed for effortless automatic saving and inputting of new sites and passwords. Yet, when I found myself on the go with just my mobile device, accessing certain apps and tools became cumbersome. Consequently, I added LastPass to my mobile, which proved more convenient, albeit requiring manual addition of new sites and password generation. While this isn't a major inconvenience for me and doesn't warrant an upgrade to a paid plan, it can be a hassle if I intend to continue using the free version.

Great app, user friendly.

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, Lastpass is a good app, easy to use and secure.

Pros:

I love to have all my password easy and securely saved in one place. You can use it using fingerprint for easy access.

Cons:

I don't like that sometimes it logs off from the app without notice and you don't have other option other than put your master password instead of using your fingerprint.
