"Doesn't seem like it was built for a modern user experience."

Comments: All of our goals and online learning opportunities are housed in Cornerstone so this is a benefit to our company.

Pros: I like what Cornerstone offers a portal for all our learning opportunities, transcripts, goals, helpful tutorials'all of which help us develop professionally within the company.

Cons: I am not a fan of the user experience. It is sluggish, not intuitive when trying to work on goals, and a lot of actions or desired "buttons" are too many clicks away in an unknown location.

"Very Satisfied with the Product"

Comments: This is my first time using a Talent Management System, and I must say that I have been very impressed with Cornerstone. Our company went live with the LMS in December 2014 and ATS in June 2015. The system is easy to use and always improving. Cornerstone provides so many training resources and materials for both the administrator and end-user. In addition, we've been assigned a fantastic CSM who has been so helpful and dedicated along the way. I've really enjoyed my experience with CSOD and can honestly say that using them has been a great improvement for our Talent Management department and our company. I look forward to new changes and enhancements in 2016!

"Easy to use-- has some kinks"

Comments: Pros:
Easy to initially deploy (configuration) and maintain
Limit access to catalog/ target learning to specific audiences (only as good as your source HR data)
Ability to deploy in multiple languages
Ability to display data in timezone of users (great for a global organization attending webinar sessions)
Ability to handle large user base (100K+ users)
Cons:
Modules not consistently built-- however, CSOD has been some modifications in past releases to make functionality more consistent (i.e. materials management)
In a regulatory environment, challenges have occurred with equivalency functionality (date things are marked equivalent)
Data load process is immature (inability to load advanced historical data such as certification history and curricula)

"LMS for your classroom"

Comments: This is a great product that allows you to create a successful classroom community within your school. There are many features that allow you to generate online discussion among your students and allow them to connect with the course content in engaging ways.

Pros: The software was fairly easy to use. Most of my students found it tremendously helpful with the abundance of help videos and content that was available online

Cons: The software can be very expensive depending on your schools budget.

"Overall, Cornerstone on Demand has been a frustrating process for us."

Comments: n/a

Pros: There are a lot of options to manipulate or customize the layout and content.
Ability to host several file formats is nice.

Cons: There have been behavioral issues since we launched the tool. We continue to have issues with courses not loading or not recording as complete. Reoccurring training seems to work sporadically, allowing some to retake and others not.

"LMS Review"

Comments: This LMS was implemented in our company a couple of years ago. As part of the team in the selection process, it seemed to be a very easy to use, intuitive system and we were anxious to move onto the platform. Upon launching the LMS we found some items were more easily implemented than others and although we had multiple use cases in the selection process, this was a bit of a surprise. Additionally, it did not seem all that intuitive to our end users. That may have been a result of over customizing, but I would have liked to see Cornerstone advise us against the customization if it decreased user experience. However, it seems as this is a focus of CSOD and some of the newer features like the curriculum player is a great update and helps our end users understand their progress. We did have one situation that I was a part of that we escalated to customer service and while we did get resolution, it seemed to take a fairly long time and we had to involve a lot of people.

"Initiative end user learning experience"

Comments: I was able to take mandatory training as well as career development training. All of which was tracked and reportable to my manager. Easy to use and could take the training at home and not required to be in the office.

Pros: Easy to review course catalog, read course descriptions and enroll in a course. As an end-user you can quickly see if your enrollment has been approved. I appreciated that certain courses required approval and had workflow built in behind them.

Cons: At time would get lost and frustrated on where I was in the course catalog and couldn't find the course I was looking for. After a few times of using this software I was able to navigate it much easier.

"Cornerstone to learn"

Comments: CornerStone is a pretty user friendly repository for internal and external training courses and provides a centralized repository for these training videos. If you have missed an live training, you can get it once it is saved and added to cornerstone.

Pros: The software is easy to navigate and use. I can easily and quickly see what I have been assigned for training and when it is due. I can also easily search for other courses and classes to sign up for and to take. I can easily see what I have started and not yet completed.

Cons: The signing after you have completed the course or class isn't as easy as it could potentially be. You have to go back and Open and scroll and then click to sign. It would be nice if there were less clicks to get to this signing function. I often forget to sign off after I have completed a training.

"Cornerstone is a wonderful product"

Comments: We are currently using the LMS side of it, and it has been amazing. Our employees love it and have voiced many times the simplicity of it, versus our older system.

Pros: I like all the multi-functions this system has, you can do anything from employee evaluations to posting classes for your employees to register for.

Cons: I wish the directions were a little easier to handle.. All the information that you need is there, you just have to find it. And, that may take a minute :)

"Gets the job done.."

Comments: Over all its a great product, gets the job done! It’s just a matter of not being as “pleasuring” to look at and navigate in as some other sites, kind of blah and drab appearance wise but functions every where perfectly! Would still recommend this highly, would just advise may not have the best “appearance” until you get into your selected course.

Pros: Definitely a good product, tracks all completed and saved items/coursework. Has plenty of was to search for programs and locate what you are looking for. Easy to use and navigate through.

Cons: The “visual” is not as pleasing as I would expected, seems a little “dry” in its layout.

"Great Talent Management System"

Comments: Cornerstone is the best and most comprehensive solution that I have seen for talent management. I have used the LMS, Performance, Succession, Connect and Extended Enterprise modules. CSOD continues to make enhancements to their product, especially with Learning, Connect and Performance, but where they are lacking is in enhancements to their mobile app and to their Succession module. While I do find great value in reaching out to their Global Product Support team, it will sometimes take days and even weeks before you get a response from them on a case. The communication to the customer is lacking there.
Additionally, I find that some of the modules, such as Performance and Succession, can be really complex and require a lot of testing and trial and error to get things right. It does help that you are given two test environments (Stage and Pilot) to test things in. The quarterly releases have also gotten better over time, with many resources that can be used throughout User Acceptance Testing and the rest of the release cycle.
Change is not always handled seamlessly for the customer, as we have experienced major delays when our Account Manager was on leave and also our Client Success Manager was out on leave. The people who filled in for them seemed overwhelmed and as a result there was a lack of communication.
Overall, Cornerstone is a great encompassing talent management system and I have not encountered another company that comes close to having all that they offer under one roof.

"I love the ease of the program"

Comments: I don't have any issues with this program. It took a while to get switched from a sales representative user to a facilitator administrator within the system but I believe that was an issue internally. I like how easy it is to use this program. As a facilitator, I had to assign training, review, rate, pull reports and many other tasks within this program and everything was so easy and simple to use.

"Cornerstone Learning Module"

Comments: When I think about pros and cons of the Cornerstone LMS what I find as the biggest benefit is the innovation that they have and that they are the leader in the Learning space. For CSOD their primary focus is on the Learning module. They do offer a full Talent suite but their Learning offering is their bread and butter. Other vendors may have a Learning Module but originally are in a different space like Recruiting or Talent or Core HR and are spending their R&D efforts their instead of on Learning. So a Pro is definitely that the Learning Module get's a lot of focus and attention. Based on my personal experience here is a more detailed list of Pros and Cons:
Pros:
- The portal is natively mobile responsive so it scales to different devices
- The video streaming service is very nicely done and helps clients that are bandwidth challenged
- The application is one code base making it more consistent within itself then other LMSs that are patchworked from acquisitions or customizations
-There is a social component called Connect that is tied to learning, this feature is still evolving but is promising and is beyond where their competitors are
Cons:
-CSOD is still a young company with immature processes in regards to testing and release management
-CSOD adds new features based on what is needed to seal the deal with prospective clients (if you want the feature, ask for it as part of your contract) and based off of a voting system
-CSOD support is lacking, if you go with them I would strongly encourage diligent case management and follow up by a detail oriented individual
-CSOD off shores a lot of their tech and engineering work

"High Quality, Dependable LMS...Without Costing a Fortune"

Comments: Have been a customer with Cornerstone for 6 years, and definitely a big supporter of the project. I have used many other LMS platforms in the past, and Cornerstone is unique in that it provides much of the customization ability directly to the customer...meaning little to no extra customization fees. On top of that, very little outage or technical issues overall. Excellent product which I'd highly recommend.

Pros: Administrative capabilities and overall ease of use for end users.

Cons: Learning curve for admins

"Great LMS and support!"

Comments: Cornerstone OnDemand is used in our company as a global learning management system. It is now implemented globally across all markets and regions. We want to use Cornerstone OnDemand a as one stop shop for our employees for any type of learnings. So all learning content we have, was or will be migrated to Cornerstone OnDemand.
We are only using the learning cloud. The functionality which exists now is covering most of our scenarios. It also covers specific factory and pharma requirements. We still have a lot of requirements for future enhancements. We believe Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) can do better in reporting and needs to redesign some older modules (like Exams and Evaluations). But in general we are satisfied with CSOD's functionalities.

Pros: Great customer support and client approach. Very professional product management team
Cornerstone OnDemand's functionality covers most of the requirements from different industries for both white and blue collar [workers].
Good possibility to configure solution.
Delivering new enhancements with every release (quarterly).

Cons: As Cornerstone OnDemand becomes bigger, it is difficult to deliver enhancements with the same speed.
Cornerstone OnDemand needs to increase number of developers to keep same level of enhancements, quality and speed.

"Great LMS for Larger Businesses with Extensive Training Needs"

Pros: The ability to create groups and assign training to those groups systematically.

Cons: This may just be the way our company has set it up, but for me, reporting is not always intuitive. When you assign training as part of a bundle such as "New hire", "Annual recertification", ect. the individual class inside the bundle doesn't pull in report by that course name. You must select every bundle in which the course is assigned to get an accurate report of completions.

Comments: I would enjoy more training on every functionality that we may not know that we are using.

Pros: We hold all learning transcripts on the LMS. We build courses and assign all learning to every employee. We love the reporting function and constant updates.

Cons: It is hard to get the right information when you need it immediately. If you join a call for questions, most of the times it is full and you have to wait until the next day. The person who sells it to you doesn't support you after.

"LMS with a lot of Capabilities"

Comments: We want to drive users to go into the LMS so that they can utilize all of the learning thats offered. With Cornerstone releasing Learner Home it was a great way to get users into the system because it reminds them of Netflix which is fun.

Pros: I like that Cornerstone is constantly releasing new tools and features to enhance the LMS. They really listen to their customers and take in all advice to make necessary upgrades.
The software is easy to navigate and use. Making ILT sessions and events is straightforward. I also like how you can add badges to a learning object so that way learners feel good when they accomplish something. Also, the reporting capabilities are great and there are a number of reports you can generate to analyze how the system is being utilized.

Cons: The Quiz functionality of the system is not good and not easy to use.
Its not modern and every test you make has to be out of 100. Also, you can drag and drop questions in whatever order you want them to be. The tool is limited and needs to be upgraded for easier use.

"Complex tool"

Pros: The new reporting feature is very promising, intuitive and easy to use. There are many options and combinations that can be used, to allow you to use your data better.
The Learning Assignment tool is another very intuitive feature, quick and easy to use and you are able to assign training to a very high number of users.

Cons: The complexity of the software. There are a lot of permissions. To complete a task, you have to follow flows with a high number of steps, and it's very easy sometimes to miss one. Once you missed that one step, the whole flow is broken and you cannot go back. This creates a lot of issues downstream, and affects reporting and training completion.

"Customizable and User-Centric"

Comments: The use of Cornerstone has been instrumental in changing the training culture of our social services agency, which relies on flexible training delivery to staff who's time is limited and most often needed elsewhere.

Pros: Cornerstone has created and outlet for users across varied companies to collaborate and advocate for new and/or improved features. I have seen requested features come to fruition in their regularly scheduled feature updates that are rolled out several times a year.

Cons: In regards to training and support, Cornerstone definitely prioritizes some functionality over others. When working in the Certification Management area, I have rarely communicated with anyone who I would call an expert. I have often gotten the odd look and the blow off when I expressed my need for assistance in this area.

"Cornerstone, prioritizing the customer"

Comments: If you are looking for a system with an active community willing to help other companies this is the perfect product for you. Cornerstone holds a user group meeting every quarter in major cities which gives an opportunity to network with other companies and help each other how with challenges you are currently fixing. During these meetings we receive live training and a walk through of what other features will be developed in the future.

Pros: A major pro is the customer service that cornerstone provides. They have rapidly developed how they consume cases in order to provide timely responses. They also provide in-depth documentation, webcasts, beta groups and live trainings around every release cycle of new features. Cornerstone really allows the clients to drive the future of their system.

Cons: I wish their was more opportunities for customization. For example you are able to create custom pages but you are restricted to Cornerstone's layout and HTML/CSS scripting.

"Solid HRIS system with a strong LMS"

Comments: Overall, Cornerstone is a solid and robust system. We run into very few issues with it. It has helped us reach our global workforce and manage learning within our organization.

Pros: Cornerstone offers one of the better LMSs that I've managed in my career. They continue to update the system with new features and evolve it with emerging technology like machine learning and mobile compatibility. It supports all of the content we use and user management is relatively painless. Each area of the system integrates with the others. This allows for a very cohesive performance management suite.

Cons: The weak spot of Cornerstone is their customer service. It has been a pain point for several years. They say they are working on improving it and sometimes they do, but it still has a long ways to go. I also wish the system had more robust mobile compatibility. This is something they have been working on, but they are behind some competitors. They also need further support for multimedia, specifically video.

"Great Product!"

Comments: Great experience and great value for the product.

Pros: I love the integrated Cornerstone suite of products for ease of use with system management. We started with the implementation of Performance Management and it was so easy for our managers and employees to adopt, and we have recently moved over to Cornerstone LMS, which has been great.

Cons: Not much! It was a great value for a wonderful product. The implementation was a lot of work to coordinate internally for our company wide team, but it was worth it.
