Empowering Team Collaboration with Ease

5.0 last month New

Comments: Monday.com has transformed how our team collaborates, offering a streamlined and efficient platform that caters to our project management needs. It’s a robust tool that supports our workflows, though it could be improved by enhancing visibility into project contexts directly from the task views.

Pros:

The most impressive aspect of monday.com is its user-friendly interface that significantly enhances our team's ability to collaborate effortlessly on various projects. Its seamless integration and intuitive design make it indispensable for managing our daily tasks and long-term projects alike.

Cons:

One limitation I've encountered with monday.com is the inability to view the full context of a task within the 'My Work' view. It shows the tasks assigned to me, but it doesn't provide visibility into how these tasks fit into the larger project scope, unlike the more comprehensive 'Campaign' view.

A project tracking tool designed to keep the entire team in communication.

4.0 last month New

Comments: Monday can be used by the organization's staff with very little training. The different functionalities that Monday has allow for intuitive interaction.
It works very well both in the desktop environment as well as in its mobile APP. And updates to tasks can be immediately viewed by the rest of the coworkers.
We can parameterize the control and execution of activities in a project dynamically with flows that change the status of those activities, that is, we can create workflows without the need for programming, which makes it much more versatile than the rest of the tools that only focus on the completion of tasks in a project.

Pros:

Monday is an extremely versatile tool and its default templates allow us to parameterize a project so that tracking is easy, considering the type of activities we handle, facilitating the tracking of technology, construction, manufacturing, marketing projects, among many others. Another very important feature for me is the ability to quickly access the boards I have recently worked on, as well as my notifications inbox and the workspaces where I update my tasks, all on a single screen, including the ability to invite my coworkers and start collaborating on tasks that need to be executed by other people.

Cons:

Monday is not as flexible when we need to keep track of projects with a large number of coworkers without considering licensing that can affect our budget. We must keep in mind that sometimes we need to incorporate personnel into our project to perform a few tasks and if we want that person to interact with the Monday software tool, we have no choice but to use a license so that they participate in the updates. Monday allows us to import data from different data sources but I personally think that there are other tools on the market that facilitate this type of functionality that we will always require a little better. However, it does its job very well and after becoming familiar with the process, everything flows quickly.

Monday for creative teams

3.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: The team liked it but I personally wasn't a big fan.

Pros:

I like that it had virtually every set of features our team needed.

Cons:

I couldn't get into the user experience for some reason. Things weren't laid out in an obvious way for me and some of us struggled to adapt it.

Alternatives Considered: Avaza

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: Asana lacked, at the time, more detailed project breakdowns and Gantt charts that we needed.

Switched From: Asana

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Monday was much more polished and feature rich so it won the vote from the team.

Couldn't Do My Job Without Monday!

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Monday has streamlined our processes and given us a better understanding of each other's workloads, which is essential since our entire department is remote. We can quickly ask questions on specific tasks/projects, attach essential documentation, and collaborate at the touch of a button. For me, it's made life so much easier. I use it to create content calendars, social posts, and manage the various projects between our web development manager and myself. It was a game changer!

Pros:

Monday allows me to organize my various projects and tasks so I can easily see what's due soon or coming up in the pipeline. I can also see team member's workloads to determine availability for new projects/tasks. We can track time on various projects which allows us to give better timelines when setting up new projects/tasks.

Cons:

I don't think there is anything I dislike about using Monday.

Alternatives Considered: Jira and Basecamp

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: We preferred the layout of Monday and it was much easier to customize projects to our specific needs.

Switched From: Asana

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Monday was better suited to our department's needs and a better value.

Monday Increases Efficiency and Productivity

5.0 last month New

Comments: I was very nervous when the team moved to Monday instead of using Google Docs or Google Sheets for tracking. However, the training videos on Monday were very informative and helpful. While I was very nervous in the beginning, the benefits far outweigh the growing pains of the transition.

Pros:

We have utilized Monday for the past nine months and have seen a significant increase in productivity. I work at a mid-sized local non-profit, and our Development and Marketing team has been able to increase efficiency and see tasks as other team members are completing them.

Cons:

It would be wonderful to be able to download the Monday log in a PDF format to save on our internal servers as we complete a full event. The information is no longer needed on Monday but is beneficial to keep in our records.

Alternatives Considered: Smartsheet

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: We selected Monday because it fits our budget and offers new ways to streamline projects. We were pleased with the onboarding process and knew our team could handle implementation with the resources Monday provided.

Best productivity tool for PM work

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: A great tool for project management. I have found it helps drive better efficiency and accountability. Also it helped us solidify responsibilities. Highly recommend.

Pros:

We can keep track of pending time lines, charts and how far are we ahead (or behind) on tasks. It helps me to think in terms of business workflow and automation. Seamlessly can export our monday.com data in Microsoft Power BI to make informed and effective data-driven business decisions.

Cons:

Need to add more customer service support to assist when needed.

Monday - easier and faster to use than other project management systems

4.0 last week New

Comments: We set it up relatively fast and then started using it right away. It was mostly straightforward making modifications to Monday to match our workflow. We did encounter many limitations on the less expensive plan but could have upgraded to get more functionality. Overall it was easier than other platforms to set up and start using right away. We were then able to modify the system as we discovered new functionality.

Pros:

Monday is VERY easy to customize to fit our processes and then easy to maintain. The table view is much easier to use than other similar systems. Being able to switch between table and Kanban was extremely valuable.

Cons:

It's not as easy to customize notifications/types without a large upgrade to the plan. The less expensive plans definitely lack many features. There is also not a "todo" list function (where I can privately manage tasks not viewable by others).

Alternatives Considered: Jira and Asana

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Monday is much easier to set up and use. Price point for the basic plan is economical.

Great CRM system for Small Business

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Great, I have recommended this product to my clients as it seems a better option and less expensive than other CRM systems.

Pros:

Can be adapted to most small businesses, easy to set up and very quick.

Cons:

I had never used it so had to read about all of the functionality and how to bespoke it for my niche.

Alternatives Considered: HubSpot CRM

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: Cost and functionality, we also changed the type of business we were doing.

Switched From: Zoho CRM

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Functionality, ease of set up and overall costs.

Superb For Team Organization and Visibility

Comments: I enjoyed using Monday.com. I was creating schedules in other programs but Monday.com is very user-friendly, which helped getting my team members on board with using it.

Pros:

Monday.com allowed me to setup detailed schedule for projects and routine tasks. The visibility allows your entire team to know what everything is working on and when they should expect tasks to be delivered.

Cons:

The price was a bit high and took convincing for approval.

Easy and addicting!

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Monday.com makes productivity addicting! Our small team likes seeing our progress and watching as tasks/"pulses" turn green and complete. It's very flexible and customizable. If you can figure out google sheets, you can figure out Monday. Their support team is also pretty good at answering emails quickly and they are very friendly.

Pros:

- Monday.com is truly flexible and as easy to customize as a google sheet, but with way more power through smart columns, formulas, automations and integrations - The color coded status column(s) make it easy to see how things are going at a glance and it's addicting to work as a team towards "all greens"! It's like the professional version of "closing the ring" on apple watch or reaching step goals on fitbit. - The mobile app is almost as powerful as the web version, though I do wish they would bring "info boxes" on pulses to mobile since right now you can't see or edit those :(

Cons:

- Monday.com is a bit expensive if you're a small team. I wish they had per user licenses for small teams instead of bundles. - The My Week feature is nice to show you all of the tasks from all projects that you have due coming up, but I wish Monday.com let you create a "timeline of timelines" similar to Asana portfolios that let you see how all of your projects are progressing and how much (planned) time is left on them before final deadline etc.

Alternatives Considered: Basecamp and Wrike

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: Better integrations, easier to use, more flexibility

Switched From: Asana

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Basecamp doesn't have things like gantt/timelines built in and, though it's super nice and easy to use esp with clients, it's a bit expensive for a small team and way less flexible than Monday. Write is just way overpriced and has add-on charges for every little feature. We like that Monday.com doesn't charge extra for each individual feature like Wrike does.

Best Project Mgmt Software I've Ever Used

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: I've been using Monday.com for a few years (at the time of this review) for a number of personal projects, more importantly in my career to manage tickets and many different kinds of projects for my IT Department and for software and hardware implementations.

Pros:

Monday.com is absolutely amazing! It's extremely intuitive and simple to get up and get using! The different ways that you can setup your Project Boards make it extremely flexible and powerful. I've used other Project Management Software programs, and there isn't anything out there that compares. There are a lot of options for add-on's as well, and more are added monthly. Their how-to videos and great online documentation/help make it simple to get the most from Monday.com. Being able to set the combination of statuses and priorities help you stay focused and the collaboration functionality of the software is also intuitive and powerful. This makes completing projects both fun and productive!

Cons:

The software is expensive...particularly compared to competing projects, but don't let this scare you away. Once you get through the free trial period, it will be apparent that it's worth the extra money to use something that's so simple yet powerful and flexible.

Alternatives Considered: Basecamp and Asana

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: Monday.com is much more intuitive, much more visual, flexible, and has a far deeper feature set and better overall integration options.

Switched From: Basecamp

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Monday.com is simply more visual in the way it manages projects, more flexible in it's setup, and has far more features that the competing products.

Right Performance and user friendly CRM Tool

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Monday.com is an helpful CRM tool, I find it very useful because of its user friendliness, pipeline management, marketing campaign management.
They do allow a 14 days trail with no credit card required to test the useful functionalities of monday.com
Since it is web based it is easy to use I said lightweight app page.

Pros:

Monday.com helps team members to analyze task quickly that they need to work on, workflows are based on the collaborative needs across department such as IT management and administrator team to ensures the stage gates are rightly set for an efficient collaboration. The inbuilt Project management tool can adopt the kaban or gantt chart style for those who love project updates on those charts, Especially useful for users who are used to the traditional type of Project management functionality, and the updates bar in real time. The interface is very neat and colorful, there are multiple widgets and apps that we can add in to the page. The best feature that I like is the ease of use to set up a project dashboard and to add the workflow for the communication and notification with tasks that are needed for the project.

Cons:

Monday.com have to bring back their phone support which got stopped due to the pandemic. Non registered users cannot see any data or reports even in view only mode, so managing users info has no value with out getting them registered on monday.com. Have limited software integrations such as slack and even few certain exchange emails.

Monday - project management aims to simplify

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: As for interacting with the project and its tasks - it's very easy. Set status, assignee, dates, add items , etc. Notifications are great tool to stay on top of things , and my tasks screen is a life saver - you can see all your tasks without scrolling through long items in a project.

Pros:

The UI is built with simplicity in mind. That means that almost every action is made to be easy and without to jump around many screens. Also, templating projects on Monday is one of the best features that we use to spin up new projects. Notifications are a great tool and you can have desktop notifications instead of mails to reduce clutter in your inbox.

Cons:

Somehow the simple UI is not very intuitive for me. The rows display of items seems a bit off as opposed to the boards display. That also makes the screen seem full of tasks that usually irrelevant for some users.

Alternatives Considered: Jira and Hubstaff Tasks

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: Azure DevOps is a great tool, though too complicated for our non technical members in the project.

Switched From: Azure DevOps Services

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Our teams loved the user interface. Also we got recommended from some of our customers who use it.

Perfect organization with monday.com

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: I think that my team's experience with monday.com has been very positive, and it has helped me tremendously in having more organization around all my projects. It helps me break down my time into different aspects and helps me put more effort into urgent and important tasks that need to be completed during the day. monday.com has also been of great aid in providing helpful tools to make our projects as automated as possible and helping us get rid of many tasks that we used to do manually but now this tool helps us complete them in a timely manner without any issues, and as a result of that, I can focus on my projects in more depth and plan all my work for the week rapidly, as well as improving our workflow as a team and helping me sort different tasks and asign them to different members.

Pros:

Monday.com is my preferred project management tool. It is a very versatile software and it provides great features that help me manage all my projects in a seamless way. I like that it is very customizable and allows me to view my projects in many different ways. Monday.com has a smart way to track progress and it is present uring every stage of a project, helping me brainstorm in the beginning stage and helping me finish all my projects successfully. I also like the fact that it has the ability to create and organize tasks, creating to-do lists and reports that help me understand and keep track of my own progress and my team's progress simulatenously, and making it easier to know what to schedule in our calendars and helping us organize our workflows better. Monday.com also has many beautiful templates that adjust to every single project and it has a wide variety of boards that let me choose how to view my project and how to view my tasks.

Cons:

Monday.com is not the most user-friendly software and it shows in the beginning stages of setting everything up in the software. I personally had a hard time using it in the beginning as I felt that the platform looked too cluttered and it felt very hard to organize things to make it look like my own space. Thankfully, this software is very customizable and I was able to adjust it to my needs eventually and make it feel more like my style and my business' style, and it has improved my workflow greatly. One more thing that I don't like about monday.com is the fact that the pricing plans don't have much variety and it's quite a high price for small businesses.

Alternatives Considered: Asana

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Asana seemed like a great option but ultimately we ended up choosing monday.com because of the amount of tools we thought fit better for our organization.

Projet Managment is a breeze!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, excellent! I mean, I have used several PMS like Trello, Slack, Jira, Wrike and the likes - Monday.com is the fireworks and the linchpin in the industry. If you have critical projects to manage (which I'm talking about project managers) this one is indespinsable.

Pros:

Workflow Configuration. Here, you can configure your workflow to your hearts content - supported by hundreds of there available widgets. Automation. A killer feature of Monday.com I haven't used or found with some other PMS. It does a good job of nudging everyone of everyday tasks. Customizability. Fairly user friendly. Customized modules, visuals, workflows etc. You name it. Customer Support. Best customer support with high product knowledge.

Cons:

Price. This can be expensive for solo users. But, then again they have free provisions for single users with threshold in it obviously. Technical. This can be technically taxing at first. Can be complicated for first time user, which is understandable for a Project Management Software with wider and deeper span. Glitches. Some of the function tends to glitch sometimes. Such with you colorize text to emphasize it. Tends to go against the user.

Alternatives Considered: Jira, Trello and Wrike

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Monday.com got it all. This has been developed with end-user in mind. We've tried Jira - which is also the reason why we find Monday.com because Jira works almost opposite of Monday.com. Monday.com is a breeze to use.

Great platform! 13/10 would recommend!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: We utilize this on a daily basis and it serves its purpose perfectly. Our team leaders and project managers rely upon monday.com software to ensure we complete work for our clients in a timely and organized manner.

Pros:

This software was very easy to set up for the team and manage on a daily level. It serves its purpose for us and we rarely ever have issues at all levels.

Cons:

Some of the automation requires other paid integrations, it would be cool to one day have that automation built in for a higher cost of the service.

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: We didn't need something like Salesforce for our daily project management.

A must have for non-profits

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: My experience is excellent, the ability to assign tasks, track and monitor peoples work and see where bottle necks or delays are occurring is one of the best features I have found so far.

Pros:

This software is indispensable in this new world of remote and hybrid working. Monday.com has fully replaced our grant management system we have before and the functionalities make it much more user friendly, able to coordinate tasks and proposals so much more effectively. We have also set it up so it tracks the progress and deadlines of our grant-reporting requirements as well which was an area of particular weakness for my organisation before we switched over to this new platform.

Cons:

It took quite a number of weeks for our non-profit status to be approved so I could get the wider team added to the platform- however the fact that it is completely free means I can not moan too much!

Alternatives Considered: Hive

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: I needed a platform which had more functionalities and could be easily updated in real time by multiple team members who are working from home and even working from differentHive countries.

Switched From: Microsoft Excel

Reasons for Switching to monday.com: Monday.com free non-profit option and easy/ simple interface allowed the team to switch over with minimum training.

Monday.com is the best task management software and CRM I have used.

4.0 last year

Comments: Monday.com has helped streamline and systemise the business. It is great that it has a mobile app a computer desktop app and is accessed online. When deciding to switch over from another product I asked customer service a question and within the same day I had a zoom call organised and was able to have a full meeting with a fantastic rep who explained all the features and ensured that all aspects would suit our business.

Pros:

Monday.com was very easy to migrate to from another CRM/task management system we were using before. The interface is very modern and easy to use. It makes working a real pleasure when everything is aesthetically pleasing. The time tracking, file management and customisable boards and tables are the best features for our business and keep everyone on task and track.

Cons:

There aren't many cons of Monday.com. I would say that the most difficult part is creating the automatic workflows. The only other con is that it is not the cheapest software out there, however , I do believe it is worth the money.

4 years and looking forwards to many more!

5.0 last year

Comments: It's a dream to use, even with my neurospicy brain. I am very chaotic and highly organized, depending on the day, time of day, or the socks I am wearing, and Monday can support me at my best and my worst.

Pros:

I was always using Google Sheets to track projects, but they would go on and on and on, and include mutliple tabs and pull data from here and there and... it was a bit exhausting. Monday imports these sheets, and turns them into clearly defined, but almost endlessly customizable boards.

Cons:

The templates are a bit too needlessly complicated for me. But it's actually useful if you want to use it for different things than I do. I discard my boards after a while, when they are too full, and I don't like to archive or administrate everything.

Monday is the backbone of our project management efforts

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: I'm very happy and impressed with the value Monday has produced for me and my company. We mainly use it to manage our projects but since we first bought it, we've been expanding its use to different areas like managing forms and documents. It's definitely one of the tools that have produced the most value for us and our operations

Pros:

The best thing about Monday is by far the sheer extent of the product. Thanks to that, we've been able to use a single tool to manage our projects, tasks, forms, workflows, docs, and more. Some of the modules are far from perfect, but we've definitely benefitted from being able to manage all those things without using 6-7 different softwares

Cons:

We run into bugs here and there, which doesn't affect our work that much but it would still be nice to be able to use the product more smoothly

Alternatives Considered: Miro, Trello and Asana

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: MS Projects was clunky and lacked a lot of the features that Monday does. We made the switch because we weren't happy with MS and Monday looked much more advanced

Tracked Goals, Projects, Timelines and more

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: I loved it. I'd use it again in a heart beat

Pros:

It's intuitive, easy to use and pretty simple to set up. I like that I can track in a variety of ways, but it's also not complicated to figure out how to set up a project. I tracked daily tasks, one-time projects, event planning, and much more.

Cons:

They do not offer HIPAA compliance for us, so we had to be careful what we included on the project if there was a reference to something confidential. Staff were also able to see everyone else's board, so security settings were not robust as other products we used.

Alternatives Considered: Asana

Reasons for Choosing monday.com: it's a better product, even though it cost a us a monthly fee. At some nonprofits, it can be free, which is awesome.

A great project management tool with great capabilities and features

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: We always wanted to get a project management tool that we can use for our projects and tasks management, monday.com has been great for us because that has helped us manage all our tasks and deliver on time.

Pros:

I personally love the activity management and assigning tasks feature, it is simply great. Other than that time tracking feature is great which helps managers to see how much time is being spent on each task. Visualising the board in gannt chart mode is great for presentations to showcase the workload for any user.

Cons:

I would say, that within each of the boards the activity log does not have many things like asana or Trello does. It is slightly more expensive than Trello which offers a free version and asana which has great UX and is highly customisable

Creativity, order and more workflow

5.0 last year

Comments: Monday helps to increase performance and order in tasks or when presenting a project, this platform has immediate chats, which is an advantage in case you have any questions, you can just go directly to the chat and not resort to any other means to communicate, I can also manage a board from scratch by customizing it or a default board.

Pros:

I like Monday.com because this task manager allows me to work collaboratively with my team, Monday.com gives you all the tools so you can organize your projects, making known the tasks that have to be done weekly, Monday.com helps work teams carry out tasks in an orderly manner, while I am creating task management and the design of the board, I can also interact with team members by letting them know what their responsibilities and commitment dates are. Something to highlight is the visual part, it is attractive, and you will never get bored since it has vibrant colors that will never bore you.

Cons:

something I don't like about Monday is the customer service is a bit tedious for them to answer you since you have to send emails to schedule an appointment and that takes a lot of time, contacting customer service should be more practical, since it can cause you to stop tracking a project for a problem that would not take much time to solve, another aspect that I don't like is that for new users it can take a while to adapt, since it has its predefined menu, but it is not as customizable as it seems
