Best Customer Support Ever!
Comments: Our overall experience with PayHOA has been great. They are very supportive, and are always open to hearing our suggestions. Utilizing PayHOA has saved our small HOA over $3K this year alone.
Pros:
Our small HOA decided to become self-managed in late 2021. After lots of research, we decided to go with PayHOA, and I am so glad we did! While our initial data entry was a little difficult due to my lack of an accounting background, the customer support team was awesome. They spent so much time answering my questions and helping correct my mistakes. They were always cheerful, helpful, and caring. I could not have made it through without their ongoing, constant help. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] were two of the support team I dealt with most, but the entire team was outstanding. For this reason alone I would especially recommend PayHOA for a volunteer group such as ours with little to no accounting background.
Cons:
There were no clear-cut instructions on what should be entered first, which caused me some double work. However, for someone with a background in accounting, this would probably be apparent and not be a problem.

Self Managed HOA
Comments: Not all residents participate in the meetings but are nonetheless expecting to be made known the happenings of the HOA. Since we are self-managed, the software has been able to increase the ability for the board to communicate more effectively with the members. Also the members having their own account and portal to pay online is a huge time saver in accounting. It also gets them more involved.
Pros:
The best part of the software is the simple UI with the abundance of features need to self manage a small single family HOA with less than 100 units, all in one place. It has and will continue to greatly improve communication and ease accounting tasks. The technical support when I have run into some bugs has been as I expect, outstanding. THe ability to download CSV files is awesome.
Cons:
The software has had some bugs with the PDF mailer and identical transactions being deleted. It also needs some accounting reports which are downloadable in formatted version and not just .CSV files; something immediately presentable to a person. The UI in Violations is not quite clear that there is a process; create, submit, and then resolution.

ISD Management Services Review
Comments: Love it! It has everything I was looking for and needed.
Pros:
Ease of use. I have basically been able to teach myself how to use the system. But when I had a question, I could count on getting an answer usually within minutes. It also seems that most homeowners are happy with the system. The program is exactly what I had hoped it was. Awesome!
Cons:
I can't think of anything right now. I have yet to look deep in to the reporting available.
Wish they helped their customers more
Comments: Sure, they are responsive and even quickly but the answer is always NO. I have asked for so many things and they are just say well, we're sorry but we can't. We were initially sold on this software based on the ability to link to our bank. We had significant trouble linking and they were like sorry that wasn't a guarantee. Kind of a bait and hook in my opinion. Next, I ordered over $600 worth of envelopes from the USPS, so I just assumed it would fit their invoices since that would be the standard. Again, the HOA board is an unpaid position so anyone on the board wants to work as quickly and efficiently as possible. When I reached out to ask them to update our invoicing template, they flat out said no. I need the addresses tabbed over by one. This is absolutely do able in any situation. It would be a back end adjustment within their template department, but they just couldn't help with that. It's such a shame that they are not pro customer. But their solution is for them to print and mail themselves for a fee. I'm not interested in that and I know it will create confusion with our homeowners as well. I just wish that as a paying customer, I was listened to and heard. Adjustments can always be made, PayHOA is just very unwilling.
Pros:
Automated payment and easy for homeowners to use to pay dues.
Cons:
Customizing templates answering any questions that I have with a "no" response

Hi Danielle, I'm really sorry to hear about your experience. We always aim to exceed customer expectations, and I'm sorry if we missed the mark. I would like to provide some context to the two issues you dealt with. Our bank integration is through a company called Plaid. They are able to pull transaction data from about 12,000 financial institutions. I apologize if this was overstated when you looked at the product. There are rare cases where a local bank is not supported. Unfortunately, there is not a way for us to add a bank to their network. We do request they add banks to their network if a customer's bank is not supported. I'm also very sorry to hear that the envelopes you purchased would not work with our invoice template. Our invoices are mailed in a dual windowpane envelope. That is the only envelope option our direct mailer allows for. It displays the return address and mailing address through the envelope windows and requires a very specific PDF format to fit.
PayHOA Review
Comments: Overall, I have been very pleased with the decision to use PayHOA. No system is perfect, but assistance is only an email away with a quick response.
Pros:
I have been using PayHOA for over two years now. I selected PayHOA because it appeared simple to use, economical and, mostly, provided an opportunity to bypass crooked management companies. There is some work required to input the homeowner address and contact information initially, but all that information should be readily available. Creating invoices and the collection process works seamless. The same for issuing violations and completing communications with homeowners. The audit trail is also great to have when communications are delivered and read. I have also used the function for voting on an important bylaw change. It was very easy and effective. With a bylaw change, I also sent registered mail to all homeowners at a very reasonable rate and was so easy to use. As homes are sold, it is also very easy to archive old records and introduce new homeowners to the system.
Cons:
There is limited phone assistance for homeowners directly to PayHOA but I do not think there is much need for the assistance. The system is fairly self-maintained, and it is another way to minimize costs.
Outstanding experience
Comments:
We have an outstanding experience with the PayHOA platform. It gives the Board more confidence to navigate our Association independently.
It helps us to see a bigger picture of our finances. It's easy to evaluate our income categories and expenses. When we signed up for the PayHOA, we also decided to use Alliance Association Bank as our banking agent (it was one of the options proposed by PayHOA). We are so pleased with this cooperation: we are currently working on getting a loan from them for our roof and elevator projects.
Pros:
It's really easy to navigate there. The platform creates various financial reports for the HOA records, let the owners reach out to the Board (and vice versa) very fast and has a lot of different features. Our favorite is keeping all of our Association records (bills, invoices, reports) at one place. We also appreciate a continuous support from the PayHOA representatives. They are always ready to help and guide us.
Cons:
As a Board, we don't see many cons. It just takes time to put all of the Association owners' information to the platform in the beginning but it feels like you should do it with any platform you're going to use.
PayHOA review
Comments: Overall PayHOA seems the perfect platform for condominium association management. It is simple, easy to use, easy to correct mistakes and communicate with tech support as well as clients.
Pros:
PayHOA has a super easy accounting system to work with. It is simple and easy to learn and has things very useful to property management, especially considering condos only really have a couple of Assets and Liabilities. The system also has very easy ways to resolve problems. The chat function is incredibly useful to resolve technology errors or other important accounting functions. Particularly [sensitive content hidden] is an excellent point of contact, she is very responsive, knowledgable, and very good with following up.
Cons:
My least favorite thing would have to be relinking plaid to chase and how long the transactions take to pull through. While they are inconvenient, I do believe they are for security reasons and overall for best practice.
What I Like About PayHOA
Comments: I decided to use PayHOA 5 years ago because other software was too expensive, required an upfront annual payment/subscription, and limited free support. I like getting instant auto help feed back and if you need more help, you can email a support team member. I usually get help the next morning and the problem is solved.
Pros:
The support and help menus. Owners can log into their accounting history and have a place where HOA documents are stored.
Cons:
Because the software is web-based, sometimes the balance sheet doesn't update immediately. You may need to wait 1-2 minutes. This is not really a con, because it could be related to the internet connect/interruption.

Towers Ten
Comments: Starting in mid-2024 we've loaded homeowner data for our 114-unit condo and are using homeowner invoicing/payment tracking; Maintenance forms; Document storage and several other functions - will start using the financial reporting components in 2025. Support has been excellent, and software is intuitive - multiple software functions at a fair price.
Pros:
Support by the PayHOA staff has been superb - the response time to my numerous questions has been excellent, and answers by the staff are easy to understand and implement. In addition, PayHOA software offers robust functionality at what our condo Board felt was a very reasonable price-point compared to other software firms.
Cons:
Steep learning curve, although that's likely an issue with any similar software product.
Fabulous Crew at PayHOA
Comments:
The experience has been wonderful
I would recommend this service to anyone who is looking for an easy to use software program to kep track of your HOA finances.
Pros:
The customer service is fabulous. They respond immediately with the answers to your questions or they fix the problem and tell you how they fixed it. If you still don't understand they screen shot you the diagram so you can see exactly what they did.
Cons:
Sometimes i get frustrated when i cannot figure something out on my own. Thats why i really like the customer service.

HOA Management Simplified
Comments: My initial experience with PayHOA was a little challenging but I quickly caught on to how everything functions. Some Board members wanted to engage another more established company but the cost and support from the large corporate firms can't compare with the support from PayHOA. This was the best choice for my 300 unit HOA community. I'm so pleased that I paid for the full year with a discount.
Pros:
PayHOA was free to setup and use for the initial 30 days. The software team was readily available with 24 hours notice to link up and explain any functions. I had a few enhancement requests that were implemented within a few hours. The PayHOA team always responds to my email requests within 24 hours and they are available to work with me on my schedule. I couldn't be more pleased with their service.
Cons:
There is not a lot of draw back issues with PayHOA. I've been using the software for a few months and everything is going great. I did have some issues looking for the ability to print individual invoices as they don't appear on the owners unit menu. My software consultant was able to quickly show me where to find the PDF print function.
Alternatives Considered:
We definitely made the right choice!
Comments: The initial search for a system like this showed that they are very responsive to questions and they have continued that with any support requests. The ease of setting up owners/renters and tracking payments is a breeze. Highly recommend!
Pros:
Being able to track the units as well as the owners and renters and offer online payment options was the reason we went on the hunt for a system like PayHOA. Being a small self-managed building we wanted something easy with options for further accounting needs as well as great support as needed and we found all that w/ PayHOA. It's easy to see where everything is and anytime we have a question we receive a quick response. Super helpful and really simple to implement.
Cons:
While there are many features we don't use, the only con is really the ability to have more robust accounting, allowing us to setup vendors to invoice and have them pay us without the need to create a fake unit for them. Google/Apple Pay are also tenant requests that aren't available at this time.
Alternatives Considered:
The best software for our HOA
Comments: I have not had any problems. I wish the staff was available with a phone call like before but I realize that Covid has changed many things in our lives.
Pros:
I like the fact that I can check it daily to see which homeowners have paid. The new feature to deposit paper checks is very exciting because I hate to go to the bank. The staff [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] always answers my questions by email and when needed I set up a Zoom meeting.
Cons:
I wish we could get some type of online fundraising but this is not critical. I would also like a way to add monthly interest to the invoice without having to create another invoice. Also, if an HOA billboard where we could have a community newsletter displayed for the homeowners would be nice.

Great product and easy to use
Comments: Very easy to use and maintain. Makes running the HOA management business so much easier to perform.
Pros:
The one-stop shopping type of product. Do not have to use other tools
Cons:
Dealing with accounts in collections. When an account is in collections, there is no easy way, there is a way but not ideal, to prevent that account from paying via the porta which can cause issues with teh collection agency
Alternatives Considered:
Ease of use and lots of data
Comments: PayHOA allows our HOA to be mostly hands off in the payment process and allows us to not spend hours tracking and depositing payments.
Pros:
Showcases a lot of data. Easy to use. Allows important information to be accessed quickly.
Cons:
I feel like the reporting function could be a little easier with more options.
Why oue HOA Board of Directors is Impressed with PayHOA
Comments: We have realized a large monthly savings by switching to PayHOA. Besides the monetary savings, it has saved us from so many headaches! It seems to work all on its' own once you set up parameters.
Pros:
There are two things that come to mind first and foremost about this application. First, it has an long list of capabilities (probably most of which we are not using YET) which will make our Accounting and Neighborhood Management system a quick & easy process saving time, money & effort. Secondly, as we worked to set up this program, it was very user-friendly and when we had questions and needed human help, it was super easy to get someone on the line and your CS team members are smart, know the program well and seemed eager to help!
Cons:
Well, so far there is nothing to like least about PayHOA!! We are still learning the vast capabilities of this app so don't use all that's available to us but so far, this is wonderful!
PayHOA is a great product, but could use some more tweaking
Comments: Overall the payHOA system works very well and is easy to navigate. I have made use of it for over two years now and homeowners seem to like it as well. My community is small and we have not made full use of some of the features, but I am glad they are there to use when the time comes that we do use the features
Pros:
It is easy to navigate around the website, and its intuitive so I can give someone admin access to the site and within a few hours they have a pretty good feel for the site. This makes any training needed for more specific things easier to do and get through.
Cons:
The Invoice system still needs some work. Would like a way to filter out late fee separately from normal Invoices. It would help to also have a quick way to see the houses that are late on paying dues on the main dashboard. I also feel the site permissions need to be flushed out a bit more. I would like to assign mass permissions to most but would prefer to filter out specific people. It would be nice to see a way to drop specific home owners into groups and then be able to assign or remove permissions on those groups
A good start for a management solution
Comments: I inherited PayHOA from a previous board who did not make sound business decisions. If this system were not in place when I joined the board of directors, I would not adopt it. This solution does not meet the needs of our HOA. However, there would be more pain on my part to transition to something else, so we will continue to use it.
Pros:
I like the electronic Invoice feature and the ability for members to pay via card, via debit of account or by offline check. I also like the unified message center that maintains a history of emails to members and tracks if an email has been viewed
Cons:
I did not like the difficult task of applying interest on unpaid balances. It was difficult to show the open balance carried forward while adding a late fee on open balance. Printing an account history was a work around, but even this document needed modification as not to imply that the interest charge was the only outstanding balance.

Hi Randy, I'm very sorry to hear that the platform is not meeting your expectations. I'm happy to jump on a call to better understand the issues you're having and create a solution for you. I'll reach out directly to schedule a meeting. Best, Mike Bollinger
Good for basic property management, not good for accounting
Comments: We have a small HOA that is self-managed, needed a platform to manage online payments, online communications, and other tasks. PayHOA fulfills basic functions like online payments, online communications, and online notifications. But the accountings features are not very good, I had to build my own xcel tracking to verify our income vs. expenses for taxes and audits--couldn't rely on the platform to give us accurate reports.
Pros:
The online payment feature is great. Online communications features are also great.
Cons:
The accounting software built into the platform is horrible. We have to do yearly taxes and audits for our HOA. When I tried to pull the yearly financial reports from PayHOA, I often found multiple errors in the transactions. Experimented with multiple ways to pull the financial info from the system, but none of it was very accurate. Had to build my own xcel tracking to confirm our income vs. expenses.

Hi Khue, Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I appreciate the kind words about our payment and communication tools. I had one of our accounting experts review your transaction ledger and G/L. All of the numbers are correct, but they noticed an issue with the way transfers were being coded by your bookkeeper in the system. I'm sending you a private message now. Best, Mike
Legacy Financial (LegFi) Customer Review
Comments:
I am the treasurer of me fraternity at Michigan State University and we just wrapped up our first semester using your service. We decided to employ your product for a couple key reasons. We wanted the collection support, the ability to pay charges online, and the tax help the you provide through file990.org.
Bad News first:
You failed to have the proper tax form on your website. I called numerous times between mid March and when our taxes were due in mid May. Time and time again I was assured that the form would be provided prior to tax day, but unfortunately it never was. Luckily, one of the brothers is an had just completed an internship at Grant Thornton, otherwise I would have been helpless. To be blunt, we feel like we wasted money on a service that couldn't deliver. Furthermore, your software doesn't provide enough tools, especially the budget builder. We budget on a semester -by-semester basis and I just don't have enough freedom to build a functional budget based on our needs with the current version.
Now the good news:
For the most part, your customer service was exceptional. Every call was informative and the operators did a fine job assisting me to the best of their abilities.
General tips:
- Get file990.org running more smoothly. This is one of the primary reasons why fraternities employ your service and it needs to be functional if we are to continue to do so.
- Finalize this update that your customer service told me about. He shared his screen to give me a peek at the beta and I was impressed. The earlier you get this out before fall semester begins the better.
In conclusion, our first semester with Legfi wasn't exactly smooth sailing but there is certainly potential for improvement. Hope this review is helpful.

Thank you for the feedback. We are always working hard to improve the customer experience and I'll take these notes directly to our tech team.
PayHOA Rocks!!!!!!!
Comments: My overall experience with PayHOA is that I am very Happy I chose this company to use because it is so easy and when and if I have questions they are there to help.
Pros:
Very easy to use and at a very good price. The customer support is very quick to respond if you have any questions.
Cons:
I have not found a con with PayHOA because it is so user friendly.
Excellent job PayHOA
Comments: Customer service has been excellent when we've contacted them. So much so, that we have recently moved our website to payHOA. Thank you!
Pros:
Our HOA switched to PayHOA a year and a half ago and it has been tremendously helpful in communicating with our members as well as financial accounting which we previously did by hand.
Cons:
The accounting balances need to mirror our banking situation.
Great product value, easy to use, but may still be a bit glitchy.
Comments: Overall great. I wish there was a phone number to call for customer service. They never answer. Only way to contact is through email. Response yikes are typically quick it sometimes issues can take 5+ biz days to resolve.
Pros:
User friendly for smaller organizations.
Cons:
Sometimes feels like a beta version of software was released before the final product was perfected.
PayHOA helped us in many ways
Comments: Our members needed a way to pay online, and changing to PAYHOA was so simple and very helpful to all our members.
Pros:
PayHOA was easy to integrate to, and very user friendly for our members.
Cons:
PAYHOA covers most all of our needs for accounting for our POA
Pleased with this product
Comments: It's been a great experience, reducing labor time and making communication with residents more efficient.
Pros:
Account tracking for each resident, overall transactions and budget reports have been most helpful for me as the treasurer. I used to spend hours to days trying to maintain this type of info. Now it is so much easier to maintain in minutes on a regular basis!
Cons:
If some of the budget reports had the option to make more concise it would be helpful.
