About Wonderlic Select
Wonderlic Select is a pre-employment assessment that provides role-specific insights from 3 areas proven to predict job performance.
The cognitive portion is my favorite. This is something we cannot teach a candidate.
There really is no drawback to using Wonscore.

Wonderlic bolts in nicely to your existing hiring process
Comments: Wonscore provides us a great way to get detailed info on our candidates before we even meet them. I highly recommend it.
Pros:
The insights provided by the Wonscore reports can guide your interview questions to dig into possible "red flag" areas.
Cons:
There's not a lot to dislike - I suppose maybe it would be nice to be able to somehow integrate into other hiring tools like GoHire.

Wonscore
Pros:
The test results are very easy to read and interpret. I love how the system puts the information together in one score, it helps evaluate candidates much better. the Software is super easy to use and I love that we can get good scores both through e-mail invitations and onsite.
Cons:
I wish there was a way to better educate myself on what each section of the motivation score and the personality profile means.
Results not very predictive
Comments:
Overall this is a decent cognitive/IQ test to supplement our process. It's very disappointing in that it doesn't do a good job of accurately assessing personality or motivation.
Perhaps more valuable would be assessments that showed whether candidates were good team players (ie, overlap with the Ideal Team Player ideology), and assessments that accurately tested detail orientation, etc.
Pros:
The IQ/cognitive test has helped us weed out sub-par applicants
Cons:
Two things: 1. The Motivation and Personality sections have not proven to be accurate, or decent predictors of job performance. I've ended up hiring several people who scored poorly in those areas (because all other inputs from their application showed positively) and they ended up excelling. I've had some score very well on, say, Conscientiousness, and they turn out to fail all detail-orientation tests during interviews. 2. Not enough job profiles. We often have to pick a couple that sort-of vaguely close to what we're hiring for and apply candidates to several.

Good tool for screening candidates. It has improved our hire quality and retention rates.
Comments: Better, faster, easier hiring.
Pros:
Score information is very helpful to our recruiting and hiring process. The user interface is easy to use.
Cons:
There should be a feature that allows a company to have current employees take the Wonderlic so we can gain better insight on the current employees performance v.v. their Wonscore. I was told this feature does not exist.

Wonscore Review
Comments: My experience with Wonscore was incredible. I was able to find a GREAT employee for my business without having to spend hours researching them. Using Wonscore, I was able to match an employee that coincided with my personality.
Pros:
Super user-friendly! It was so simple to setup and I was able to get results in a very timely manner.
Cons:
Honestly, nothing! I'd recommend this to anyone hiring for their business.

A Joke
Comments: intelligence test portion is fine
Pros:
it is easy to use, relatively affordable, easy access to customer support, the Wonderlic intelligence test is fine but a little challenging for English speaking Mexican-Americans because of the heavy emphasis on language skills
Cons:
The personality test and motivation indicators are horrible. I gave the test to my four best employees out of fifty. The utterly failed the personality and motivation tests, even though they are highly motivated team players, with high ethics. I assume the test wants you to B.S. such things as... I am never late to work, I never tell a lie, etc...

So easy & accurate not sure why companpies don't use it.
Pros:
They make it easy to set up your job description so you get good results. The dashboard makes it easy to rate multiple candidates.
Cons:
If you don't have a lot of data to compare I think it's difficult to rate evaluate. We overcame this to start by having current employees complete the test.

Wonscore is great
Comments: Wonderlic is very helpful with finding the profiles that fit your business
Pros:
I love the information you can get with this report.
Cons:
Nothing so far it. It works as advertised and the new relaease is very user friendly.

Finding the right co-workers
Comments: Its a tool. Been using for a couple years; went from believer to on the fence.
Pros:
Ability to delegate and get candidates to take tests and overall summaries are fairly good
Cons:
Results are inconsistent and not sure about weighting this on hiring decisions

Wonderlic for Sales Executive
Comments: Wonderlic is being used as an assessment for executive level positions.
Pros:
Wonderlic provides insights into an individual's characteristics that are likely to positively or negatively impact success in an executive level role. Without this tool, it would be impossible to glean that information through behavioral and situational interviews alone.
Cons:
The functionality to save the report isn't efficient.
The experience with Wonscore has been great and enjoyable.
Comments: We have a lot of faith in the platform, in terms of trusting that if someone scores well on the assessment, that they're likely going to do well in the role. We also really like the personality portion of the assessment, although we don't always interpret it verbatim because we look a lot for alignment with our core values and such as well.
Pros:
I like that it is fairly easy to use. You no longer have to submit a request for new tests (for new positions). You can simply add your own new test and either send the candidate an invite or the link to the exam. It seems to be pretty easy for the candidate to use with no instruction needed from my end. You also get notified of when someone beings and ends testing within Wonscore. I also like that it provides the motivation and personality tests along with the cognitive ability portion.
Cons:
At first, I needed some guidance from customer support in terms of how exactly to use the software. I would say as a non-technical person, that it isn't the most straight-forward platform I've used, but once I got some assistance from support one time and played around in the platform myself, I now understand the gist. Also, I wish there was a little more explanation as to how certain scores on the bell-curve work, but even with that statement, I know I could find more information about it if I were to dive in deeper into their website.
Effective but Overly Complex
Comments: While there are some interface issues/concerns, overall we have found the platform valuable and worth the money invested. It's a unique way to have added input on hiring decisions.
Pros:
This is a cost effective solution for testing across a large group of applicants. It can also help with individual candidates. We have found the aptitude scores to be highly accurate, and have found other scores to be beneficial when evaluating talent. and overall job fit.
Cons:
I have never found the interface intuitive. This newer version is an improvement over the last in terms of interface. However, we still have onsite administrators that don't use it often and they find it difficult to pickup.
We currently have Wonderlic assessments and find WonScore's enhancements helpful but miss the detail
Pros:
The 'roll up' scoring - WonScore Average and how we have it integrated with our ATS - iCIMS. Also ease in reading/understanding the scoring.
Cons:
Doesn't include the detailed reports per candidate it once did and our Hiring Managers found that useful in their conversations/interviews with candidates.
Two thumbs up!
Pros:
The ease of use while qualifying candidates makes this a no-brainer step for any organizations' hiring process. The amount of time spent here is minimal - especially measured against the ROI. We feel this is an integral part of our process and makes us stronger as a company.
Cons:
Really nothing comes to mind, the software is very refined.
Recruiter from Waystar Review
Pros:
To me, Wonderlic is a great "equalizer" of candidates. Being able to gauge a candidate's initial potential based off proven data helps keep any kind of subconscious bias from sneaking in during the recruiting/hiring process.
Cons:
While I do understand that it is a tool - not the defining word on a candidate's abilities - We have not been able to define clear patterns on things you would expect, like: Higher Wonderlic Score = Better on-the-job performer.
Very useful for quick screens of ability and personality. Works best for "typical" job descriptions.
Comments:
- Increased ease in filtering candidates
- Accurate personality information
- For native English speakers, clear sense of candidate intellect
Pros:
Speed of results, usefulness of data that comes back. Provides objective data that I have found lines up well with who the candidates actually are when we interview them.
Cons:
I would like the ability to choose the battery of tests for some of my more "atypical" job descriptions.
Good way to delve into the personality and motivations of potential hires
Pros:
We use Wonderlic to screen applicants and help weed out those who are the best options for us. I like the detail report.
Cons:
When moving a candidate between positions it doesn't explain WHY the score changes.
I have found the Wonscore tests to be helpful in screening applicants.
Comments: I have been able to pre-screen applicants and reduce the amount of interviews I need to conduct. I am also able to better understand employees and what their motivations or needs are.
Pros:
I find the tests to be fairly accurate and provide a basic feel for applicants in their cognitive ability, motivations and personality. It is very easy to send the test to applicants and it is fairly easy to navigate the administration panel.
Cons:
I would like to be able to "resend" the test to applicants who do not take it fast enough or can't find it in their "junk" box. I have to delete the applicant and then re-enter them. It is also unclear how to initiate the in person test, but I was walked through by customer service.
Wonscore is GREAT.
Pros:
I love how easily you can send the test out and that there are so many job description options to test through.
Cons:
I have nothing negative to say about wonscore.
The benefits of Wonscore....pros and cons
Comments: Overall, the results that we received, were definitely beneficial. It saved us on two occasions from making a "wrong" hire. So, yes, I am satisfied with the service we received, and the price we paid was worth the monthly investment. I feel that the initial 3 month investment was fair and affordable. Had the contract been longer or the price higher, I probably wouldn't have used Wonscore. After the 3 month contract, the month to month availability is current with what I see with other types of vendors. For a small business like ours, the terms and price worked out perfectly.
Pros:
I thought that the pre-screen employment test was accurate. I had one of my employees take the test so I could get a good read on what other applicants were seeing, so I could do a comparison. I was amazed how accurate the test scores were. I compared one of employee's scores with their actual ability, and it was almost 100 % right on. This result gave me additional confidence in the Wonscore testing process. I also like the tracking and progress regarding an applicant's testing.
Cons:
I am somewhat confused with some of the emails that I receive from Wonscore. One of the emails I received said that I could log into my Wonscore account and based upon the applicant's score, there would be specific interview questions that I could use as a guide. But, after I logged into the account, there was no reference to any questions to use as a guide for the interview. I tried to navigate through the website, but to no avail. This email message came up several times. Maybe, the interview questions were based on MY review of the test scores, not Wonscore's?? Confusing.
Great job candidate selection tool!
Comments: Wonderlic provided our company with a great web based testing tool that has great features for the price. It quickly allowed us to raise the standard in selecting new hires and more importantly helped us filter out the candidates that did not match our selection criteria and skill sets. Their staff was very supportive with our questions and responsive to our suggestions.
Pros:
Easy to use.
Cons:
No dislikes.

Thank you for the kind words! We're grateful to have Appian Manufacturing (http://www.appianmfg.com/ ) as a client, and we're equally happy to hear that Wonscore is helping you improve the quality of your new hires!
Skyworks Inc.
Comments: We needed an accepted and vetted system that can support our hiring decisions - whether we hire or do not.
Pros:
It give us peace of mind when we make final hiring decisions. I feel that in most cases it is reflective and supports what we see during the interviews themselves.
Cons:
I do wish we could delete or remove people from the system - I know you can Archive but complete removal would be better. E.g. - I had two people enter the same person twice...system let us and then I couldn't delete the extra entry...
Wonscore
Pros:
I like the different type of wonscores that people can use
Cons:
So far I haven't found anything negative about the software.
WonScore
Comments: Software is very easy to use and administer.
Pros:
Very easy to use and functions are laid out nicely on the web pages.
Cons:
Would like to be able to get help files and files to provide more detail on results
good for bigger companies
Comments: good and well made software but not for small businesses - would revisit when we get bigger
Pros:
the ability to standardize applicants and see strengths and weaknesses outside of just a typical interview
Cons:
difficult to understand at first, some screening packages didn't match up well with our actual positions, and an additional time-consuming step in our hiring process
