Some of the design features are slightly limited, based on experience working with other websites. This is also what makes it user-friendly and simple to maintain.

Three years in with Toucantech and it just gets better and better
Comments: For this review, I'd like instead to illustrate the answer to this question with how a specific problem was dealt with.Being new to using the fundraising module Toucantech was kind enough to "road test" what we had constructed to ensure it would work. This brought peace of mind.Then shortly afterwards, I felt confident to implement a further measure. This went horribly wrong. I was not sure if it was a problem with the software or something I had done.The team at Toucantech immediately responded to my urgent request for help. Following a 2-hour Zoom call, we worked out what I had done wrong, and Toucantech put it right so that it presented on the website as it was supposed to. (They were gracious enough to say that what I had done wrong could easily be done by other new users of their software, and so were going to improve the instructions for that part of the site.)At no time did I feel embarrassed for getting it wrong, and I was so grateful for their patience in putting things right as part and parcel of their normal, fantastic customer service.
Pros:
I like that you get to know the staff at Toucantech; and that they get to know you as well. This means we all better understand how to deal with problems.
Cons:
Although "glitches" appear in the software from time to time, even this "down arrow issue" is usually dealt with speedily and efficiently. I assume rival software also can have these problems, so I prefer to work on the basis that Toucantech resolves them more quickly than its rivals.

Review from an overseas user
Comments: Overall, ToucanTech is a brilliant product and their team is efficient and friendly.
Pros:
The product is easy to use and I like the logic of the search function. The support team is great and it's very helpful to have the tutorial pages.
Cons:
Data hosting. This is an issue for overseas users as different countries have different data privacy standards.
Needs fulltime use, otherwise very frustrating to use occasionally
Comments: I use it very seldom , but find it frustrating to obtain the results I require. Help information is on a separate Web page and the search on that is not comprehensive.
Pros:
It's comprehensive and obviously has many features that are not relevant to some users
Cons:
I didn't find it very intuitive and would have found more hints useful when errors occurred, although I know ToucanTech are always looking to improve the system

Comments: The transition from our previous CRM has been seamless, with clear guidance and timely communication from the data and support teams. A really positive experience
Pros:
A logical system that enhances productivity, Toucantech offers an easy-to-use interface supported by an excellent customer service team. Highly recommended.

It would be great to have more 'bite-sized' training videos to reference

Comments: ToucanTech are very supportive and continue to support us. Nothing is too much trouble.
Pros:
The look of the system and how easy it is to use and manage. The Events feature is great, it has really helped me plan, organise, track attendance and promote our events. I also like the Advanced Filtering function where you can drill down specific user groups to send mass emails and analyse the data i.e whose reading your emails. The Fundraising section is excellent and direct payments updates the record automatically saving time and resource.
Cons:
I do not have any dislikes, we are very pleased with the system. The only one thing I recommend is that you need to keep your data as up to date a possible. You data is only as good as the information you put in.

Best fundraising CRM on the market by some distance
Comments: Many companies claim to be customer -centric but in reality very few actually are - Toucan Tech are one of an elite group of companies that focus on delivering great products through customer led innovation.
Pros:
All features are designed to be user friendly and iterative yet don't compromise in terms of sophistication which is the hallmark of great CRM software. Sending mass emails and creating events are particularly impressive features and surpass anything else on the market.
Cons:
Integration between third party payment providers and customer records was a little problematic but the data team resolved a complex issue through a combination of perseverance and in depth knowledge.

Using Toucan Tech to run an Alumni Website and Database
Comments: We are very pleased with Toucan Tech, it works for us and is much less complicated than our previous database. The website is easy to maintain and perfect for what we need to communicate with our members.
Pros:
I find it easy to use, adding events and news stories is intuitive and can be done with very little training. Accessing the data is also very easy and can be done quickly on a PC or on your phone.
Cons:
I think the only thing we would like to add is an Instagram feed to our Home page.

A user-friendly and comprehensive solution backed by exceptional customer service
Pros:
ToucanTech meets all the needs of our school fundraising, alumni and community engagement programs. It is incredibly intuitive and - because it is purpose-designed for an organisation like ours - pretty much everything just works as it should right from the outset. The support team are extremely responsive and are also proactive in offering help and suggestions. We have barely needed any assistance from our IT team. Useful new functionality is constantly being added, and I'd like to see our school expand use further, for example to manage the whole school website and/or to manage admissions as that module gets finalised.
Cons:
Nothing of any note. A couple of minor and inconsequential bugs were quickly sorted.

Comments: Overall experience as been nothing but positive. ToucanTech is a joy to work with, both in terms of its people and the product itself.
Pros:
The friendliness and efficiency of all the ToucanTech team, from the initial sales enquiry and contract negotiation through to the onboarding, data migration, training and support. The whole team have been extremely supportive and patient when at times we were not in a position to make immediate decisions.
Cons:
We have found nothing that we dislike in our use of the product to date.

Comments: There are huge positives and the software has already made a big difference in our abilities to run a website, collect data and soon to run online donations which is very important. I find the customer Services team respond very quickly and we have very much enjoyed our sessions with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] I do find that the Instruction Manuals/help guides on line could be more detailed with some topics missed completely and others only having a brief summary of the process you are trying to complete/attempt for the first time. There are many times, that had the help guides been slightly more detailed then I would have happily used these and worked though the steps and not needed to contact customer services. I think this would be hugely helpful.
Pros:
I like the look and format of the software. The fundraising fund pages are extremely helpful in giving up to date stats and I like that you can build your own web pages and manage them instantly. This is extremely valuable, liberating and time effective.
Cons:
Some parts of the software formatting are not always straightforward and take some time to work out how to use. I find the reporting element a little tricky but I know this is being worked on. It would be great if there were a few more "standard panels" in the design hub for building non-menu web pages that would offer more options in terms of layout.
All in one system
Comments: TT has been so easy to learn how to use and I love the all in one system. Onboarding was smooth and efficient. The online networking community has been even more helpful than usual during the global pandemic, with the mentoring and careers sections being especially popular. I would highly recommend this product.
Pros:
My two favourite things about TT are: 1. it's intuitive: you can work out what you need to do, ease of use, common sense approach 2. the online community accessible to our network is part of the package, not an add-on
Cons:
I think the app should be included with the annual fee, not as an optional add-on.

Comments: ToucanTech have been really helpful since we used the package. They went over and above to ensure the journey from start to finish was slick and easy. Their Helpdesk is invaluable - quick responses to every question.
Pros:
The best thing about this software is the front page it gives and the ease of use for both administrators and members. It's super easy!
Cons:
Sometimes there is not enough information about processes or how to change things, but a quick message to the Helpdesk normally resolves everything.
Great customer service and site
Comments: I find eveyone at ToucanTech to be very helpful and always come back to you within the day.
Pros:
I find the ToucanTech system to be very easy to use compared to previous databases. It was a fairly easy transition of moving our data across – the data team are very knowledgeable and helpful. I enjoy using the system!
Cons:
The system can run slowly at times. I have had different features not work at times but the team always look into it and resolve the issue.
ToucanTech has been a gamechanger for us
Comments: Our move to ToucanTech was easy, and the more you use it, the more you realise its overall capabilities.
Pros:
It is an all-in-one system that we can use to engage further with our past students and donors. We transferred over 10,000 records, and each time we send an email out, our data gets cleaned up by people directly updating their details. The daily automated emails you can set up are great and the data stored is easy to access and report on. Their support team and the customer manager you are assigned are outstanding. They reply to your emails and are always available for a training session where required.
Cons:
I don't really have any cons; the only two things I think that could be improved in time are; when setting up an email ready for sending, you cannot send yourself or others in your team a test email directly from the template and the other would be to be able to add more than one picture in a news article without setting up a gallery. However, these are minor when you look at all the advantages you gain from the overall ToucanTech system.

Best Platform for Alumni Database Management
Comments: The Support Team is phenomenal, and it's amazing to have access to a network of other international schools that use the same platform.
Pros:
Our alums love learning about the university/industry/geographic Hubs they can join to connect them with other alumni. They are always keen to learn how they can use the platform to network. The Resources section, with digitized yearbooks, is also very popular, as are the Photo Galleries. It was very easy to migrate our data at the beginning.
Cons:
There are many features that I forget to use, but ToucanTech sends out newsletters with examples from other schools that are always so useful.
A real asset to our work
Comments: Excellent across many years. In a previous capacity, I was an early adopter and have found the company superb to deal with right from sales and implementation through to support. Most recently I was happy to advise my school client that this would be the best solution.
Pros:
Accessibility. You do not have to be a database or IT professional to use it. With the good training provided, most people will be able to do pretty everything they want or need to do.Support. Excellent, quick and helpful support for those jobs which you cannot do yourself.
Cons:
Minor layout features which could perhaps change. Nothing important. It is good that if we have something we would really like changing it is immediately put into the system for review and if thought to be a good idea for all TT users then the change happens.
Intuitive system with good support
Comments:
Alumnae communications - very easy to send targeted emails by user group, location, industry, etc.
Alumnae support - eg, identifying people who can offer work experience to students.
Events management - advertising and booking in attendees for events.
Pros:
We were offered a tailored training day before setting it up - we could specify the main features we would use so the training was adapted to our needs, eg, how to produce reports we needed to replicate. It is pretty intuitive, but online / telephone support is good when needed. The team are very friendly and helpful, and will 'take over' the PC to talk you through solutions if necessary. The weekly support emails are helpful and let you keep on top of new developments. Graphics are good, we have had good feedback about the 'look and feel' of communications from our alumnae community.
Cons:
Integration was quite a significant task due to volume of data but it was well managed on both sides. The advanced filters and mass emails are possibly the least intuitive parts to use but this was resolved with good support and increased user familiarity.
Alumni association database
Comments: We previously used another website provider which we found very clunky and expensive. TT is much better!
Pros:
Ability to create and email excellent digital newsletters to membership
Cons:
Data issues. We import via Wonde from our school database, but there is a need to amend the data and add in missing fields.

Best customer service across industries
Comments: Very happy with our relationship and the service provided. As with any software, you need to dedicate some resources to learn the tips and tricks to make the most out of it.
Pros:
Customer service, issue resolution, responsiveness, new product releases, ease of use, competitive pricing, willingness to find custom solutions, training, and lots of resources, a community of users.
Cons:
Can have slow load speeds at times and other bugs (but those are quickly fixed with support)

Comments: Excellent. We have considerably improved our Alumni Engagement Program with this software and look forward to continue our relationship with TT.

All the functionality we are after is currently available and ToucanTech are always happy to listen to our feedback and consider ideas for future developments. It is so intuitive for both the administrators and users.

A few technical things need to be sorted from time to time but importantly, always sorted!
The best alumni and fundraising software providers on the market!
Comments: We are an early customer of Toucan Tech and started working with them about 6 years ago when we decided to implement our first alumni software. It has been a huge pleasure along the way particularly because the team remains the same - their customer service is first rate all round.
Pros:
The whole team is very approachable and helpful, the tech team takes onboard all our comments and implements most of them and the software is very intuitive and user friendly. The software is also very complete with both an alumni and fundraising platforms.
Cons:

Intuitive CRM that has transformed our ability to connect with alumni and drive fundraising efforts
Comments: Thanks to Toucan Tech, we've finally been able to collate all membership records in one place (never been done before) which has underpinned an alumni relations campaign. This has also enabled us to run a 'get back in touch' campaign and really re-engage with our members, a critical step as we prepare to secure our future by fundraising.
Pros:
Easy design features to result in a professional looking website with no specialist knowledge. The ability to tag records to build up a comprehensive relationship history for each alumni member is great (and saves a great deal of time). We are just starting to the the fundraising module but so far it's been a great experience.
Cons:
Importing our database was a huge task but now that is done it's much easier. Understanding how filters work was a little tricky at first but after training and support it's now much simpler and v intuitive.
Toucan Tech new User / Administrator
Comments: The possibilities the Toucan system offers for everything from Event Management (an Eventbrite set-up), News Postings and Communications are only limited by the User/Adminstrator - i.e. me! I have enjoyed seeing ideas become realised on-screen.
Pros:
Being completely new to working with databases and similarly-based communication systems the most important aspect for me has been the great help from the Support Teams. They are always very willing to help; extremely patient; thoroughly professional and yet friendly and approachable at all times.
Cons:
Again given my inexperience in this area - and I find it similarly with Mail Chimp as well - I can't set up pages and the like in a way that seems obvious to me. Hence, I find the Support Team vital as I slowly learn what can be done and how to achieve it. Normally, I would have delegated such things to a competent professional. The Toucan Support Team has, with great understanding, taken on this delegated role whenever possible.
