Paymo is a good controlling platform

5.0 9 months ago

Pros:

We need to track the progress for several, multiple projects for both, time budget and estimated tasks.

Cons:

In the past the invoicing and estimation templates are not the best. I need my CSS knowledge to fit them within a german document template. There must be an updated templating, but i just didn't found the time to test it out.

Paymo Response

Hi Carsten, Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it. Please note that the new 10 invoice templates don't require CSS or HTML knowledge to edit them. We have an article on how it works in our Knowledge base. If you have questions you can also always contact our support team.

Unveiling the Power of Paymo's Project Management Suite

5.0 8 months ago

Pros:

Paymo offers a comprehensive suite of project management tools that have truly streamlined our workflow. What I like most about Paymo is its user-friendly interface, which makes it incredibly easy for our team to collaborate effectively. The time tracking feature is particularly helpful, allowing us to accurately monitor project progress and allocate resources efficiently. Overall, Paymo has significantly increased our productivity and organization, making it an indispensable tool for our business.

Cons:

While Paymo offers a range of valuable features, there are a few areas where it could improve. While the existing templates are useful, having more flexibility to tailor them to our specific needs would be beneficial. Additionally, the mobile app interface could be more intuitive, as navigating certain features feels slightly clunky compared to the desktop version. Finally, while the customer support is generally responsive, there have been instances where resolution times could be quicker. Despite these minor drawbacks, Paymo remains a valuable tool for our team's project management needs.

Nothing special, but it works

3.0 9 months ago

Pros:

We use Paymo for time management, or at least tracking the hours spent on projects. For this purpose it works. The interface is easy to use and it time entry is a breeze.

Cons:

Paymo is not the best solution out there, but not the worst either. I would not say there is a particular bad thing about Paymo, rather that it comes down to personal preference. I, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this, find timesheet entry a pain, regardless of what time tracking software is being used. Is there a better way of doing this? Yes, but I have not developed it, yet.

Get Paid More with Paymo!

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: Overall a worthy software to help managers get organized and effectively run a successful project.

Pros:

From beginning to end of project management, you have a software that allows you to build your dream as you see fit. Scheduling, Invoicing, time cards, all in one place.

Cons:

Some apps that are more specialized may have additional features your business may need. Investigate first to identify nonnegotiables here, or potentially be disappointed.

Excellent task- and time tracking software for small agencies

5.0 8 months ago

Pros:

Task management and time tracking is baked into ONE system so you pay once, not for two different systems. Easy to use like Asana, but packed with more functionality, like Clickup – but much better than either.

Cons:

Paymo can’t (yet) set a price per word for invoicing articles, and due to legal requirements in the UK, I have to export invoices to Quickbooks and send them from there rather than directly from Paymo.

Great but could improve

4.0 8 months ago

Comments: It saves me time, especially with invoicing, I use it daily for my work.
It feels a bit unfriendly at time when I get to the website. Many tabs, some missing options unless I upgrade to the most costly version. But overall indispensable. I have recommended it to other companies already. Also, the sync with google calendar doesn't work for me. Maybe I didn't configure it properly but I tried several times. The time don't appear in any other calendar than on the Paymo website.

Pros:

It's simply the cheapest option for time tracking, project management + automatic invoicing. Unfortunately some essential features need upgrading each time. It is sad that we don't get more with Small Office than Kaban. Still, it is the cheapest for making clean invoices.

Cons:

It lacks some project management options such as adding description text or brief to projects. Ideally it should be visible on one screen -> Project summary then the list of tasks.

Paymo review

4.0 9 months ago

Pros:

Easy to track time and see calendar view on timesheets to visualise your day. Easy to create a project and great to see different viewing options such as table or gantt depending on how you need to visualise a project.

Cons:

Scheduling/resource management could be better. We can't register the time that an employee may work every week as some are part-time. (as far as I know) And we can't build out a person's day in a calendar style similar to timesheets to dictate when they should be working on something.

Paymo Response

Hi Rachel, Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it. Please note that by using the Day view in Team scheduling you can set specific time intervals the user should be working on the tasks.

Paymo Invoices

5.0 9 months ago

Pros:

I've been using Paymo for years, and I don't plan to switch. It's easy to use, reasonably priced, and it is continuously updated and improved.

Cons:

I don't use the project management features because I don't need them. So for me, that aspect is overkill. But I am sure other people need those features.

Great platform for freelancers & agencies

4.0 9 months ago

Comments: Overall very satisified. I wish Paymo would offer more customization and more robust templates, or a clever AI assistant which analyzes my usage and makes suggestions to save me more time.

Pros:

I like that Paymo can be used with different setups and requirements. As a freelancer, I can set up my clients, my projects and keep track of all of them. It's a critical app for me.

Cons:

The mobile app needs more refinement. As i invite guests over to my project dashboard, I am currently unable to notify them whenever I post a comment. This has been unsresolved for a while so I barely use the app.

Loving paymo

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: It has helped our org so much. Great customer service. Intuitive. Affordable. I am excited to learn even more features and use it to its full potential.

Pros:

Great customer service. Lots of customizability.

Cons:

I only wish I could integrate google cal into the app and not just the browser. For less tech-savvy users, it has been slightly challenging to navigate, but that's expected. I'm more tech fluent, and I find it very intuitive.

Basic time tracker. Ok quality.

4.0 9 months ago

Pros:

Basic use is very easy. I like that service has mobile app mac app that I use daily.

Cons:

The mac app should support more than just time tracking. You should at least be able to see the card information. Sometimes if multiple people are put on the same card it is annoying if the card is in process if you are not yourself active on that card. Also all the cards that you are tagged in, do not show up to your own task list.

Excellent for SMB Project Management and Time Tracking

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: I have used Paymo for years and I've recommended it to many people. I am happy with the product.

Pros:

I like that I can manage multiple projects over many clients and keep organised with an easy to view dashboard. I like that everything is integrated from quoting to task creation and time tracking and then invoicing.

Cons:

The invoice creation integrates well with Xero but the invoice numbers don't match which makes it difficult to track. Also, once an invoice has been paid in Xero, it doesn't feed back to Paymo to mark it as paid.

Paymo Response

Hi Lauren. Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it. The Xero issue sounds like a bug which we will look into fixing, it should mark the invoice as paid automatically. Also although it doesn't have the same invoice name/number, it does have a reference number which is the name/number used in Paymo.

Review of an architectural firm

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: Happy overall. The app could improve if small daily tasks could be included.

Pros:

The clear time tracking combined with the project overview gives us as a good overview of the company.

Cons:

The daily tasks of empoyees are not in use. This could be improved. Other apps seem better at daily tasks and small daily overviews. We use paymo more for the 'bigger picture'.

Paymo Response

Hi Benoit, Thank you for your review, we appreciate. Regarding the daily tasks, please make sure to take advantage of the My day view which integrates with your calendar and shows the tasks that are due on that date. Also the My tasks view is a good way to group the tasks assigned specifically to you.

Paymo is my best friend

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: Paymo allows me to stay on track, plan my time and tasks accordingly to their importance and priority. My firm has been using it for several years and it's great tool.

Pros:

It helps me to plan my day and schedule my tasks. it allows my to track time spent on different projects by my and my team and therefore to assign work to different team members more effectively.

Cons:

That I cannot plan the tasks in real time (the calendar like feature) or that after assigning time to a certain task the day is not planned by Paymo.

Very good for our needs

5.0 9 months ago

Pros:

Paymo stands out as a comprehensive solution for time tracking and project management, particularly catering to freelancers and small to medium-sized businesses seeking a harmonious blend of functionality and user-friendly design. Its intuitive interface ensures that users can effortlessly navigate through various features, including time tracking, project management, and invoicing, making it an all-in-one tool for managing projects from inception to billing. Paymo's strength lies in its detailed reporting capabilities and the integration of a Kanban board, which allows for seamless task management and progress tracking.

Cons:

Paymo might fall slightly short in terms of the breadth of integrations and advanced features offered by larger, more established project management tools. Additionally, for very large teams or organizations with highly specialized needs, Paymo's one-size-fits-all approach might not provide the same level of customization or scalability as some of the other leading platforms in the market. Nonetheless, for its target audience, Paymo presents a compelling blend of features, ease of use, and value for money.

Life-changer for my daily use

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: Very satisfied, I use it continuously to track my time (I have a dozen customers) and today I couldn't do without it.

Pros:

Thanks to Paymo, I can easily keep track of all my projects and their sub-tasks. I can juggle my different tasks with great ease. I use Paymo via the calendar view, and their widget for tracking software use on my PC. The tool is very well thought out, there are regular and very relevant developments, and their support is very responsive.

Cons:

Task management is almost perfect, although a more complete editor is missing, which would allow you, for example, to copy and paste images instead of fetching them from the PC.

Paymo Response

Hi Pierre, Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it! Please note that you can copy-paste a file straight to a task now when opened in full task view.

How to time tracking correctly your work

5.0 8 months ago

Comments: Very good and profitable, an excellent control tool

Pros:

I appreciate the ease of creating projects and the possibility of modifying them; management through multiple administrators is a great solution.

Cons:

The difficulty in moving a project from "new business" to "standard"; the formulation of reports should also be more immediate with the export of a simplified Excel file to be delivered to end customers where the differentiation is already present in: date*/activity*/operator/hours* spent and general total

Paymo is The Ultimate Time Tracking and Project Management Option

5.0 8 months ago

Pros:

I love how easy it is to use paymo. It helps us see how much time we are spending in multiple areas. You can create specific tasks, projects that hold the tasks, and clients that hold the projects. Paymo is great for all things time tracking and seeing how much time or budget is spent on tasks.

Cons:

I don't think there is anything I dislike. I have not run into a flaw. I don't like how it names task lists automatically "default task list" though.
