About CANVAS
Canvas by Instructure is a cloud-based learning management system for every stage and style of education.
I can find answers to just about any question I have very quickly with the online community or I can call and get direct help. If I can think of it, Canvas has a way to do it.
As a student this can be confusing and frustrating as I'm constantly searching for the information I need until I learn the instructor's organizational style.

It requires a good amount of setup and understanding to customize it.

Canva the best choice for Online learning

At times the software would go down and not be accessible but that did not happen often.
The Benefits of Canvas
Pros:
Canvas is much easier to use than Blackboard. It has a really good mobile app.
Cons:
I don’t have many critiques of canvas. One thing that would be nice with the software would be to set up reminders for assignments and to snooze or mute notifications about due dates.
Canvas Review
Comments: Canvas has been very useful in my daily operation. It help me to design complex files and document with ease via its free templates

Canvas maybe very difficult to navigate for new student and that why it require alittle bit of training
Amazing for Students and Professionals!
Comments: Its been great! It's an amazing software for students and professionals. It makes things incredibly easy and does so much of the organization work for you. Its so easy to keep on track with things when your working with Canvas
Pros:
How centralized everything is. I use it as a student. I love the some space where I can see all my one classes in one place, with all important information posted in the forefront making it so easy to navigate. I really enjoy how functional the sidebar is as well, allowing me to see all my massages, documents, etc... in one single place that is easy to view everything all at once.
Cons:
I had no major issues with Canvas. There was the occasional experience where things would buffer longer than a average, but that only occurred during live events when there were many people logging into the same server
Canva makes teaching easier
Comments: I used canvas as a professor for over a year. I set up 3 different courses and used every week. I love canvas. It is easy to use. My students could get their assignment completed easily. I like how it links to outside resources easily and pairs with other technology.
Pros:
It is easy to use whether you are a professor or student. As a Professor I love that I can switch the between my view and the view that my students see.
Cons:
I don't like how you have to set up new classes in canvas. It would be nice if you could set up due dates all at once instead of having to go through assignments one by one. Also I don't like that you have to adjust the ending date of the semester. If you put the real last day of the semester. Everything closes out funny.
Canvas Review
Comments: It was overall a good experience as a student. I cannot speak on the professor/teaching side. I believe my peers all agreed when the switch was made at my college. The system was much cleaner than Moodle.
Pros:
Canvas made college very easy. It helps separate different courses I was taking, reach out to professors/classmates, see grades along with assignments. My college had switched over to Canvas from Moodle and the layout on Canvas was much better.
Cons:
I did not like the only test taking format. It was very east to skip over a question in the moment and plan to go back to the question. Due to the quiz being only, you would have to go pack "pages" to find the question skipped over. This would sometimes result in questions not being answered at the end of the quiz/test. I think they should add a side bar that highlights skipped over questions. This is only a problem if you plan to skip around during a quiz/test like I would.
CANVAS-A Great Coursework Management Program
Comments: CANVAS is a great coursework program that provides me with organized platform to create and access my coursework. I’m very pleased with its’ simplicity yet effectiveness in cataloging courses and their attributes.
Pros:
The thing I liked the most is how it integrates my schools design. It matches its colors and is aesthetically pleasing. This makes me more motivated to finish assignments and sign on.
Cons:
What I liked least about canvas is how it can be a bit confusing when being messaged through CANVAS and your email at the same time.
Efficient and User-Friendly: A Review of CANVAS’s Features and Support
Comments: Overall, I appreciate the functions of CANVAS, its ease of access and use, the exam-setting features, and the support from both the CANVAS community and technical support.
Pros:
CANVAS is an easy-to-use tool for uploading materials and setting up assignments with assessment rubrics. I also use CANVAS to administer exams to students, incorporating a third-party proctoring function.
Cons:
One definite improvement CANVAS needs is the ability to apply multiple rubrics to a single assignment. Currently, CANVAS only allows one rubric per assignment, which is not practical for higher education.
Helpful, keeps me on track with studies
Comments: I have used Canvas since 2019 when I enrolled in a BSW program at FGCU. Am now using Canvas in my MSW at UWYO.
Pros:
I like the dashboard set up with all upcoming tasks right as I login. I also like the grading set up.
Cons:
I wish forming groups was more intuitive.
An A+ software program
Comments: I have always had a great time using Canvas. I used it for years when I was in college. I found that Canvas allowed me to submit assignments for class without any hassle. I have never had any problems with using Canvas.
Pros:
I like how easy and accessible the software program is. I think it makes navigating a school course very simple. Canvas also allows student to easily view their grades and manage correspondence with their teachers.
Cons:
One thing I did not like about Canvas is that you can not access it without internet. This limits the places that you can utilize the program. I also found that Canvas does not allow all types of files to be uploaded.
Canvas is a great learning platform!
Comments: Overall, Canvas offers a comprehensive and interactive LMS experience, balancing a rich set of features with user-friendly functionality, although it may require some time to navigate the full suite of tools.
Pros:
Canvas is a user-friendly LMS with easy navigation, mobile access, and robust integration with other tools. It offers effective communication channels, personalized course design, and reliable support, making it a versatile choice for educational needs.
Cons:
Canvas can sometimes have technical glitches, a learning curve for complex features, and limited offline functionality. It’s a robust platform but may require some adaptation.
inspiration and creativity
Comments: I have been using the software for about a year and a half and I find it excellent, its disadvantages do not overshadow all its features that in one way or another make the work efficient and methodical. However, it is important to be aware of the limitations and potential disadvantages of the platform before making a decision.
Pros:
Canvas is a highly flexible platform that adapts to a wide range of educational needs, I like its easy to use interface, it also has a wide range of tools to create and manage a variety of assessment tasks.
Cons:
Templates can be a bit restrictive and may not always fit your specific needs. In addition, customizing templates can be a bit difficult for users who are not familiar with the Canvas editor. It can be a bit costly for some institutions.
CANVAS A Reliable Learning Platform
Comments: In general, I have quite a positive feeling towards Canvas. It offers a one-stop website where I can get all my coursework, including the assignments, lectures, and grades. Through conducting lectures, discussion boards, and, the messaging system, I also like the flexibility of interacting with the instructors and other students. Occasionally there can be problems with navigation, as well as a situation when one or another course is better structured than the other, overall, Canvas fosters a productive learning process. Features such as notification customization and tracking of deadlines have been particularly useful being the ones which have been exploited most by the author. In general, I can state that, with the help of Canvas, I do not have any problems with controlling my academic load.
Pros:
My favorite Canvas feature is the structure it provides to a student by organizing all the course material in one place. It is user-friendly since it allows easy workflow of assignments, quizzes, and course materials without causing much clutter. I also love how it interconnects with other apps such as Google Drive and Zoom, and makes coordinated work easier. Notifications and reminders also help me remain current with dates/times and anything from my instructors.
Cons:
It may take some more time to search for specific resources or assignments sometimes because of the inconsistency in the naming conventions observed from the instructors' side. Also, the problem with the speed of the platform may become acute at certain times of the day as the pages take time to load. The grade book can also be quite complex to understand when grading is done in various formats within different courses
Review on Canvas
Comments: My overall experience with Canvas has been mostly positive. It is a user-friendly platform that has made managing my coursework much more convenient. The overview page, where all my learning materials are accessible in one place, is particularly helpful.
Pros:
Canvas is an incredibly user-friendly application for students. Throughout my undergraduate studies, my experience with it has been quite enjoyable. The overview page is excellent, providing all my learning materials in one place, which is very convenient. Additionally, having all my quizzes and the assignment portal in one application has made managing my schoolwork much easier.
Cons:
While Canvas is very helpful, it can be a bit confusing for new users. I have noticed some inconsistencies between the mobile application and the web version. Additionally, the quiz feature has been quite laggy for me. There are also times when Canvas is down for maintenance, which can be inconvenient.
Helpful as a one-stop course platform
Comments: It is a generally positive experience as a one-stop system for your online class, especially for communicating with your students. It may take a bit of time to adjust to the more tedious steps at first, but it is helpful for keeping all class materials (including attendance and your grade book) in one system.
Pros:
It's a pretty simple system for creating an online class, uploading files, etc. The grading platform is useful and convenient as well -- you can input grades and comments directly without downloading student work. The notification system really helped send reminders to students when deadlines are approaching.
Cons:
The uploading process, while simple, has some tedious steps that requires some getting-used-to. It is also very easy to forget to make changes to linked pages when you edit one of the pages (i.e. take down an old file and upload a new one). I with there was a way to automatically update all linked pages when something is changed on one of the pages.
Good Software
Comments: I used this software my entire college experience, including my Master's program.
Pros:
It was fairly easy to navigate. It also kept everything in order so it was easy to find.
Cons:
There was a lot of information included. So, sometimes it was hard to find what you are looking for.
Easy to navigate, Easy to communicate, Better than others!
Pros:
Organization is key for doctorate school. CANVAS has your back and keeps things very neat. Modules can be separated and organized into different subsets. You can add external links to the tabs bar for easy access and so much more
Cons:
I truly have nothing bad to say about CANVAS. I have used many other organizational apps and CANVAS has been the easiest to use and the most organized with the least amount of issues.
Canvas is a must!
Comments: Canvas LMS is a powerful, flexible tool that can serve various educational and training environments exceptionally well. It’s especially strong in terms of ease of use, collaboration tools, and in-depth analytics, making it a go-to choice for many institutions and organizations. Although pricing and setup complexities may present challenges for smaller or resource-limited organizations, Canvas’s robust feature set and adaptability make it an excellent investment for those prioritizing effective, tech-enhanced learning experiences.
Pros:
Canvas provides a clean, organized layout that’s easy for both students and instructors to navigate. Setting up a course, adding content, and managing assignments are straightforward, and the platform is mobile-friendly with a strong app presence.
Cons:
The platform offers a lot of customization options, but configuring these to suit specific course needs may require a learning period, especially for first-time users or those without technical support.
Student review of Canvas for my university studies.
Comments: CANVAS has helped me stay on top of all things student-related. Whether it's course related or finance related, I can access anything quickly and has taken out a lot of unnecessary
Pros:
Being able to access all modules and everything related to my student history in one easy-to-use place.
Cons:
Often there were too many irrelevant notifications. I feel this is down to the way the university manage the app as opposed to how the app itself is designed.
Canvas: A Top-Notch Learning Platform - 5/5
Comments: Canvas isExceptional. User-friendly, robust, and seamless. Canvas exceeded expectations.
Pros:
Canvas allowed me to tailor courses and content to suit my needs.
Cons:
One of the cons of CANVAS is its limited customization options for advanced design work. While it's user-friendly for basic designs, professionals may find it lacks the flexibility and precision of more robust design tools like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. Additionally, some features are locked behind the premium version, which can be restrictive for free users.
