PracticePro is a great product in many ways, a few areas need some attention.

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Our providers can get the most work done and get back to patient care thanks to the documentation system. Our billing process and claims management are easy thanks to the financial side of the product, as well as the robust reports related to claims and billing which allow us to forecast and budget. Much of the insurance and authorization system is very easy to navigate and makes it much easier to manage patient cases. The intake system, scheduler (specifically the waiting list), and some of the ways that data is accessible in the product need work. Some of the reports simply do not work or are not adjustable. What has been disappointing is the lack of support for some of the feature and enhancement requests we have made. While this is understandable considering the size of the development team at PracticePro, it can be frustrating.

Pros:

The billing/claims system is great, as is the documentation system for daily notes, evaluations, and progress reports.

Cons:

The intake system, waiting list, and multi-location arrangement need some attention.

Practice Management Super Star

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: I have been in Practice/Revenue Management for over twenty years. I can honestly say Practice Pro is a top of the line product. The customers suggestions for changes actually become system updates. The scheduling feature offers access at your finger tips via right click or left click! They also have a biller friendly platform that is fully integrated with the EMR allowing me to check notes and correct charges while never leaving my charge entry screen. I have had a great experience using Practice Pro who also provide easily accessible customer support.

Pros:

The scheduling and billing features are the most impactful for my company. I love the ease of use as well as the simplicity of work flow with Practice Pro. I am also very impressed with the integration of FOTO for government compliance reporting. Practice Pro is always right on step with emerging needs.

Cons:

As with any tech bugs and glitches are always a problem. Practice Pro does however have great customer service support that keeps us informed once we have submitted a ticket. I do wish that a general message would go out to all users if a know issue was being fixed. Many times when we submit a support ticket the problem is already know to tech support and being worked.

Practice Pro for speech therapy clinic

3.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, I am very happy with Practice Pro. It manages all necessary operations in one system.

Pros:

I like how quick SOAP note documentation and billing is with Practice Pro.

Cons:

Patients sometimes complain of difficulty completing the intake forms. Also the online statements ate very confusing, causing patients to have to reach out to ask questions.

Practice Pro

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: We have used Practice Pro since 2017 and are overall pretty happy with it.

Pros:

I like that Practice Pro is completely cloud based, that was one of the main things we were looking for in a new program. Customer support is pretty fast to get a hold of and get resolution on problems or concerns, and it is rarely"down" entirely like our other system was fairly frequently.

Cons:

I dislike that for features that are common now, it is always an extra fee. It's nice if you want to keep it bare bones and save money to skip features (like we did when we were smaller) but now that we have grown, it would be nice if it was all included in one fee. I also dislike that for things like auto eligibility checks, I still have to contract with a third party. I would like it to all be included in the EMR.

Good Overall

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall it is great and my favorite system that I've used.

Pros:

Customization is my most liked part of Practice Pro. It saves us a lot of time to already have templates ready.

Cons:

I wish there was a better response from customer service. They took a very specific billing provider feature a few years ago and it makes it very difficult for us PTAs to document correctly because it doesn't display which DPT we're billing under. We've asked for this to be changed for YEARS and it never gets fixed. Its created more denials from insurance and costs us money.

Practice Pro with Pediatric Therapy Clinic

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, Practice Pro has been an excellent way to document daily notes, progress reports, and evaluations. It makes paperwork flow so much faster.

Pros:

My favorite thing about Practice Pro is the ease of completing reports and billing for medical codes. The appointments page is easy to read and understand. When there are bugs, the Practice Pro team is available to fix it within a couple of days.

Cons:

My least favorite thing about Practice Pro is when they change how our report templates function without us asking them to and we have to relearn how to use the system to work for us and how we want our reports to look.

Office Manager perspective

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall it has helped our front desk be more efficient. Charge review and billing processes are great. Scheduling is easier than ever with so many built in tools from the scheduler than can help reduce potential mistakes or missed patients. EMR is great.

Pros:

What I like most is that it is an all in one EMR and Billing. It is a very powerful software and has a lot of great reports. If understood correctly, it will make your practice processes very efficient.

Cons:

There are some reports I wish could be added. For example, there isn't an easy way to run a report on past due patient balances that need to be sent to collections. There are so many reports and functions that it is very difficult to learn how to do everything correctly. The learning curve was greater with it due to how much you can do.

Adaptable program for PT practices

4.0 2 years ago

Pros:

The daily SOAP notes and evaluation notes are the easiest that I’ve ever used. I can record information in a variety of ways that makes it easy for multiple settings and types of patients.

Cons:

There are several redundancies or naming conventions that appear throughout the program and make it confusing and time consuming to navigate to what I’m looking for. For example, patient communications AND returning patient visits are both called “follow ups”, which has been confusing on multiple occasions. There are also multiple different “patient information” buttons that navigate to different screens. It seems like different teams have developed these features and they don’t communicate well.

Easy to use and great customer service.

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

I use the "dashboard" to plan/execute my workday. It takes the thinking out of which tasks you need to accomplish, just check your dashboard for the day and work until everything is marked "complete". The customer service is very responsive. The Practice Pro team responds quickly to custom inquiries.

Cons:

The only thing I don't like is when multiple people are assigned to a single follow-up on the dashboard, if one of the members marks it "complete" it removes the follow up from everyone's dashboard. The solution is just to make sure everyone on your team knows to remove themselves from the "subscribers" or "assigned to" fields of the follow up when they no longer need to see it.

Comments: Poor.

Pros:

The Scheduler feature is adequate. I like that I can easily access my notes that are no signed.

Cons:

Having to click on many, many tabs is always cumbersome and makes even short notes feel like they take forever. The server is down frequently and has on several occasions deleted notes.

4 years of Practice Pro use for Outpatient PT

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Like all EMR programs, they have their positives and negatives, but I felt Practice Pro's positives outweighed any negatives, and wish our company had stayed with it.

Pros:

Visual ease of keeping track of various insurors, pt types/case types. Ease of transferring from one section to another as was needed.

Cons:

None. At this time, I feel that any negatives were outweighed by positives.

Comments: Their customer service is very responsive and helpful - the best of its kind.

Pros:

We enjoy good integration of Pratice Pro's various components.

Cons:

The snippet feature should be active across the entire package - would appreciate it if they worked in the goals section.

Love PPro!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall, my experience with PPro has been great. There's so many ways to go about the same tasks. I love the reporting features and KPI data that helps me with my reporting and analysis.

Pros:

I love how user-friendly this software is. Being a web-based software allows you to access if from any device that's needed. Being able to manage marketing, referrals, scheduling, documentation and billing from one software is very convenient.

Cons:

I feel that Referral Management could see some improvements and closer synced with the scheduler. In the insurance verification section, it would be nice if the patients were in order by not only the date of initial eval, but also the time they come in. If the patient's appointment was moved or rescheduled, having that info be shown in the insurance verification and update in real time would be convenient. Likewise, if a new eval did not show or cancelled the eval, it would be very convenient for the "Scheduled" referral in referred patients for its status to change back to "New Referral" or "Scheduled - No Show/Cx" so we can manage it accordingly. This way we could keep the filters for "New Referral" and "Scheduled - No Show/Cx" and we could easily manage and access these referrals.

Efficient, Clean and Complete

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: I think our company can communicate with greater ease, and effectiveness because of PPro!

Pros:

The electronic documents within the client's file, soap notes and previous reports are all in one place! Finally! No paper trail and need for documentation hygiene! PPro does it all for us! :)

Cons:

Occasional updates and glitches are always challenging, due to the reliability of the program typically, when it is "off" it feels more detrimental.

FANTASTIC SOFTWARE FOR A REFERRAL COORDINATOR

4.0 3 years ago

Pros:

I LIKED THE REFERRAL MANAGEMENT THE MOST ABOUT THIS SOFTWARE. IT WAS UNIQUE AND SIMPLE TO USE. IT ALLOWED FOR EASE OF ACCESS/COMMUNICATION WHEN I WAS OUT OF OFFICE

Cons:

WHAT I LIKED LEAST WAS THAT THE REACTIVATOR WAS A SEPARATE SYSTEM FROM THE MAIN EMR. IT WAS COMPLICATED TO GO BETWEEN THE TWO AND REQUIRED ADDITIONAL STEPS THAT TOOK UP VALUABLE TIME. I ALSO FOUND THAT IT WAS DIFFICULT TO IMPLEMENT VIRTUAL INTAKE FORMS/AUTOMATIC REMINDERS

EMR Review

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall the system works well and is easy to use and learn how to use.

Pros:

I like the ease of the system. I am able to get my notes done faster than other documentations systems.

Cons:

Finding documents/scanned photos while in the middle of documenting is challenging. There are lots of clicking that makes speed of typing slower.
