Thanks PINS Team!
Pros:
1) Reports tool has made my life easier. I love the fact that at a quick glance, I can send out reminders to everyone with a click of a button. 2) List Projects provides a quick glance all that are approved/not approved by project. 3) Integration team has been very helpful. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] did a fantastic job helping us with all our millions of questions. I really appreciated the fact that she would always offer to jump on a zoom call to help us. She even went as far as creating a personal tutorial video to answer or questions. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] you rock!!
Cons:
1) When approving insurance, we have to click "approved" for every liability entered. It will be great if there was an option to "select all" and approve all with the click of one button. 2) The vendor's "Insured Project Contact" auto fills with the first user that was entered in Procore for each vendor. It would be great if after we used a vendor more than once, PINS created a way to auto fill the "Insured Project Contact" from what is entered in PINS rather than Procore. 3) There is no "search" bar in the "List Projects" tab. It would be great if there was a search bar available in order to find my project faster.
Great Opportunity for Extreme Growth
Comments: Been with Pins for over 6 years, and do love the flexibility shown to make this system work in a broader format than just insurance tracking only. The upgrades are slow to come about but at least the basics are easy enough to manage the day to day work to be done.
Pros:
The basic tracking is what is needed, and the price point is excellent for our volume of insureds being tracked. The customer service if also fantastic.
Cons:
Because we are still on the second version of Pins, we are still missing much needed improvements for efficiency and ease of use for admins, staff, and the insurance companies accessing the portal from their side. It is very cumbersome to navigate seamlessly. Contract tracking has potential to be great, but still missing what would make it fantastic. But, we will see what version 3.0 holds. Hopeful for sure.
PINS is helpful
Comments: Again, I am not sure if it is the agents or the software, but it seems as though many agents can't figure it out. We are constantly having to chase agents down for missing items and they can't figure out how to separate the documents into the right areas.
Pros:
Document management and reminders work very well. Still learning all of the things we can do with the program, but overall, it works well.
Cons:
I am not sure if it is the agents or the software, but it seems as though many agents can't figure it out. We are constantly having to chase agents down for missing items and they can't figure out how to separate the documents into the right areas.
Quality time saving product- MUST TRY!
Pros:
I love that the team is so dedicated to the product! I don't know many software teams that open up town halls to users (like y'all did last year) to learn what the market is really after.
Cons:
I wish that there was a way to export the data to an excel sheet in a clear and quick way.
City of San Leandro PINS user
Pros:
PINS is easy to use and love the functionality and flexibility of the system. PINS provides insurance templates which provide time saving strategies, reinforces risk transfer, cross project collaboration but also because not all projects are the same, allows us to modify the templates to fit special projects.
Cons:
PINS is not a full service model, currently, PINS does not offer the ability to procure insurance on our behalf, this would be the only downfall. I would love to see PINS offer this feature in the near future.
PINS COI Management
Comments: The company was very helpful and responsive, both during the set-up process and any follow up questions I have had.
Pros:
It is easy to navigate and expedites the renewal request process
Cons:
Would like better mechanism to follow up on actions taken. For example, would like a "diary" that would prompt me to follow up with an agent if I don't receive the COI as requested or if I am following up with them to correct the COI they had previously submitted.
Easy to Use System!
Comments: I have loved using PINS. it is easy to use, helps me stay more organized. when i first started using it, the team took care of uploading all the COIs i had into the system. i received good training on how to use the system and am able to train fellow coworkers how to use it as well.
Pros:
I love having all of my documents and information in one place. I track COIs for vendors and being able to see each COI, what is expired, and having the ability to message these vendors from within PINs makes my life significantly easier.
Cons:
I have run into a few glitches here and there that have added time to my day (system wouldnt save an update to a policy so the only way i could change the one specific policy was to change all of the policies for the vendor). this is a minor thing and doesnt happen on a regular basis. i dont have any issues or gripes about PINS overall.
Very User Friendly
Pros:
It's extremely easy to use and they have great customer service.
Cons:
The new pop up asking if you need help. It continues to pop up numerous times as I use it throughout the day, very annoying.
Excellent Customer Service!
Pros:
Tracking insurance documents and seeing at a glance what's required, what's approved and what documents are still needed (or pending).
Cons:
I would like to be able to see who uploaded what and when it was uploaded and more easily customize titles for uploaded documents, so we can find exactly what we're looking for quickly, without having to open everything.
Great produce
Comments: Very good.
Pros:
Easy way to track current insurance and minimize paper.
Cons:
Not sure, but emails from PINS requesting insurance may go to spam.
Review of PINS
Comments: It is user friendly, however needs to be more updated to maneuver more easily and Edit when needed to.
Pros:
The tracking features and reminders, the emails that are already set up you just click a button to send.
Cons:
Need to Edit more in PINS emails etc., want our downloads to just pop up be able to cut/paste more in PINS.
PINS Survey
Comments: With all the certificates of insurance we tracking, it save me so much time with less frustration.
Pros:
Bulk reminders - Saved emails
Cons:
Creating certificates difficult at times.
Pins Review
Comments: We utilize PINS to manage COI compliance of our vendors. The ability to send out mass emails for our expired certificates has been a real time saver!
Pros:
The ease of use, to the point navigation, and ability to automate email blasts for expired certificates are some of my favorite features!
Cons:
I would like to see more overall automation for other tasks and functions increase!
Data Organization
Comments: It works for what we need it to do.
Pros:
We can track our expiring certificates better and it has made our recordkeeping more uniform between departments.
Cons:
The features need to be updated. It works, but the methods to get information are more difficult than our team had planned. Having to clear the cache memory as frequently as we do to get the software to work correctly needs to be addresses. Viewing stored pdfs of certificates could be easier.
Emily review
Comments: Pretty good. Use to it now since working with it for years.
Pros:
Easy to search vendors if not archived.
Cons:
Wish when you upload the certificate it automatically adds the info so you don't have to type anything. Also wish easier way to search if vendor was archived.
Pins
Comments: Most of our vendors do not upload their COI's they email them to us and then we have to upload them.
Pros:
If a supplier will actually upload their info into PINS.
Cons:
You have to enter a lot of information. You're basically re-typing your COI.
COI Tracking Simplified
Comments: On the system that we are currently using, it is very convenient to have in one place those policies expiring in 30, 60, or 90 days. It is easy to create a certificate and add requirements. We have not used the email feature and have done manual entry so far. It took us a while to onboard but are very excited to utilize the new system.
Pros:
Expiration Date Visibility Easy to Enter Certificates and Requirements
Cons:
A little too basic and not customizable, at this time. No alerts and reminders available.
have one issue
Pros:
Easy to navigate.
Cons:
theres no way of typing expiration dates manually for COI's and tracking those. Kind of redundant. I am STILL having to keep my excel sheet that tracks my COI's, which is what I was trying to replace in the first place
