Pros:

the thing I liked most about skype was the fact that everything has always worked the same way as it has. It is a seamless progression of upgrades

Cons:

the thing i like least about skype is its lack of uniqueness compared to other programs like it and its inability to seamlessly link with other programs

Cons:

The user interface perhaps feels ever so slightly dated in comparison to other similar tools.

Skype Herramienta Técnologica 4.0

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: Skype is an application with many good tools and functions, for chat and video call connections, in general the experience has been very good that's why I give it 4 stars, I can't reach 5, it's only because they still need to improve the technology for presentations of business or university projects.

Pros:

Its application and tools are easy to use, its interface is intuitive, simple and well connected.

Cons:

What I liked least about Skipe is that it lacks automation of its functions for project presentations.

Was great, but now stuck in the past

3.0 7 months ago

Comments: It was a great idea back in the days however I have a feeling developers did not made any progress to keep up with a newer apps that have much more to offer. There are many bugs which makes it tough to use the app. It also crashes a lot on Android.

Pros:

Available for Desktop and as an App, easy to deploy, very popular, pretty easy to install.

Cons:

Some features are unnecessary complicated -tough to add a phone number to contacts. Not sure why the usernames of people I am not connected with pop up in the search. It is random and makes me questioning if anyone knowing my username can randomly find me. I purchased a Skype number, there is an error while sending text messages so I can only receive them and never send.No updates, everything is as it was 5 years ago.

Skype review

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Skype is relevant and powerful in 2024. It evolves with its business need and has a good reputation worldwide. Its stability is why I use it.

Pros:

I like the availability to call friends and colleagues in different countries due to its stability of video conferencing and its robust features.

Cons:

Skype’s interaction with other services isn’t as seamless as other alternatives. For businesses that rely on other products in conjunction this could be an issue.

Great for Meetings and Staying In Touch

4.0 last year

Comments: One of our members is currently staying far away. Skype has been a very practical tool for us to stay in contact and share ideas for upcoming projects. It's obviously much faster and engaging than sending texts, but it does have that option there as well, for when we need it.

Pros:

There are other platforms that do the same thing, such as Facebook Messenger and FaceTime. Not everyone will want to do any sort of serious work over Facebook though, and not event has FaceTime available to them. Skype is a good solution that seems to work across many/most platforms.

Cons:

I don't really have any complaints. It's not my favorite tool for video chat. That'd be FaceTime, but for those who aren't on iOS, Skype works well.

Connecting the World One Call at a Time

4.0 last year

Comments: My Overall experience with skype is awesome and appreciating the likes that I can make video calls, voice calls, messaging and even make group video calls either for work or family meet ups

Pros:

I love many things about skype! One of the things I like most about Skype is the ability to connect with friends and family from anywhere in the world. It allows me to face-to-face conversations, even when I cant be physically together. Skype also offers a wide range of futures like screen sharing, file sharing, and group calls, which make it a versatile and convenient communication tool.

Cons:

I can't speak for everyone, but I find the user interface of Skype to be a bit overwhelming at times. especially for new users.

Skype is Excellent!

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: Overall it was a very pleasant experience to use Skype. I was able to connect with family in different parts of the world where other apps have restrictions and no reach ability.

Pros:

Skype was an excellent app to connect with my family and friends. I was able to use this on mutiple devices with ease and I liked how it was accessible in all parts of the world

Cons:

Sometimes the video chat quality would lag a bit but I think it was mainly due to the load on my network connection and not the software itself.

Skype Review

3.0 3 months ago

Comments: It was good in it’s prime time. The calls were reliable and serve its purpose in connecting our teams communication.

Pros:

It was great during it’s time. Before Teams, Skype was the best app to use for communication. We even use it for virtual phone.

Cons:

It was just a communication application. Other microsoft applications couldn’t be integrated, unlike Teams.

Skype was a pioneer in VOIP. Unfortunately it does not hold up today.

3.0 2 months ago

Comments: My overall experience with skype was a very polarizing one. Kind of love-hate. It was cool to be able to message my contacts over the internet, but with that, came problems. Like random drop outs, robotic voices at times, and unfortunately not being able to call phone numbers without a separate purchase.

Pros:

I liked how easy it was to contact and message people on the app. It was mostly seamless...mostly.

Cons:

There were a lot of connection errors and dropouts the last time I used Skype. It used a very flawed protocol for VOIP and it showed a lot when calling others.
