The fully fledged photo editing software for every photographer outhere

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: i've been using lightroom for almost 7 years now, and never ever has it failed me, they update it on regular basis, it's always easy to handle, it gives me the freedom to edit every single aspect of my photos, i always recommend it for every photographer out there.

Pros:

You can control every single aspect of colors on your photos, create presets or even import ready made ones, you can adjust every single light and shadow on your photos as well as the color wheel of the shadows & highlights, you can also batch import and edit, create your own settings and save them to a catalog, edit on the go from your mobile, it's always synced and backed up to the cloud, so you can access your photos anywhere and anytime.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike except the prices, it's a bit expensive when it comes to single software use if you're only using lightroom, however you can get an offer bundle if you get it with photoshop, or with photoshop and illustrator

A must have for all photographers

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: I use LR daily for my photographer activity and i couldn't do it with an other software. It's a must have.

Pros:

LR allows you to edit your pictures as you want it to. It gives you really fast render. The AI tools are insanely good. The sorting tools allows you to handle your picture sorting as you want to directly in the application.

Cons:

A bit complicated to understand all export options, but once you get use to it and make your templates properly it's a one click export.

The most under-utilized and underrated Adobe product IMO

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: It is a photoshop of sorts that focuses on photo editing.

Pros:

Easy to use, follow the same setup as other creative cloud products

Cons:

There are slight differences between how this works and Photoshop works that took a second to get down pat (I tend to work quick and use shortcuts in these programs)

O CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN..

3.0 8 months ago

Pros:

The most likely part of adobe lightroom its the whole light panels , i mean personally its the backbone for all of it , and also the grain effect it adds essence to the picture like a24 studios does to its movies and images.

Cons:

the least i like about adobe lightroom as it doesn't have presets themes and designs that should the creator should give , i know we can create our own presets but presets themes what i feel should be there for more ideas and variations.

Adobe Lightroom Rocks

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: I absolutely enjoy using Lightroom with a majority of my images being edited with this software.

Pros:

I use Lightroom and Lightroom classic on a daily basis as a professional photographer. There is a small learning curve to Lightroom but once you get the hang of it, you won’t want to use anything else. I love their software.

Cons:

I can honestly say the only thing I don’t like about Lightroom is the learning curve.

Adobe Lightroom, The Best Photo Editor

5.0 last year

Comments: Overall, Lightroom has become the core of my everyday operations, and it's the single software I rely on the most. The initial implementation was a bit rough due to the complexity of Lightroom's Professional Tools but now, it has become integral to my role.

Pros:

Lightroom has everything a Photo Editor can think of. From basic editing like manipulating brightness and contrast, to more advanced features like HSL Split Tone, Masking, Layers, and Tone Curves, Lightroom has it all in one place and is the benchmark product in its industry.

Cons:

Starting up with Lightroom as a beginner is a bit steep and challenging. Lightroom has a vast palette of tools and features that appear overwhelming for a newbie but the learning and experimenting is actually fun.

Creative Alliance Review

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: Overall, lightroom has been our go-to software for final retouching the photos and we also use it for making LUTs for videos. It is a simple and easy to use software and has helped us a lot in out weekly works.

Pros:

Along with easy and simple photo editing, making LUTs is also very simple in lightroom. Convenient to save time for editing photos. Various filters and abundance of functions are an added bonus.

Cons:

One of the cons of Adobe Lightroom would be the pricing for Adobe products as a whole. Only talking about Lightroom, there are certain limitations to fully editing photos, for which Photoshop has to be integrated.

One of the best for Novice editors

5.0 10 months ago

Comments: I work for a small waste management company, and I recently convinced my company to invest in a DSLR. This is used for all my content gathering at work, however, the CyberLink software which came bundled with my camera package was just plain horrible. Upgrading to Lightroom was a lifesaver, the ease of use, and flexibility allow me to quickly edit, add watermarks and output photos.

Pros:

Ease of use and more lightweight than Adobe Photoshop while maintaining most of the key features that beginner editors would require.

Cons:

Subject detection does not always work as well as I would like

Lightroom for that Professional Graphic Edits!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: When it comes to purely graphic editing, using Lightroom is much easier than using Photoshop, for the latter is most appropriate in graphic manipulation.

Pros:

What makes me grow fond of Lightroom is that as I do freelancing photography, it allows me to edit the photos I've taken in batches, thus making the job easier and efficient. The presets also allows me to create a consistent mood and theme all throughout the photos for a certain events so it really appears professional looking.

Cons:

Although it is a really good software, Lightroom, like any other Adobe products, needs a substantial dedication and time for you to learn it. Anyone who has no background in using Adobe products will probably be easily confuse with all the icons and tools therein so I don't think it is that beginner friendly.

Perfect software for photo editing.

4.0 3 years ago

Comments: If you want to do photo editing this is the software to go since using this software is simple and it produces perfect images. Adding to that, it is also effective and efficient.

Pros:

First what I like about this software is its non destructive ability. It creates a copy of the edited image while keeping the original image intact. Compared to other alternatives the usability of this software is simple thus anyone can use it easily. It has an intuitive interface thus once the user open he or she knows what to do. Compared to related adobe packages, this software runs smoothly on a computer with lighter processing requirements. Lastly is on its pricing, if you intend to buy the whole package with photoshop it is fair compared to Lightroom itself.

Cons:

I really don't have much dislikes about this software since it has majority of features and also the quality of images produced are excellent only that it has limited editing options compared to other related alternatives.

Lightroom is Perfect for the Professional Editor or the Hobby Tinkerer and everything in between.

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: I've put many photoshoots through this program to bring the quality of photos up, or prep them for Photoshop editing, and it has been a pleasure to use every time.

Pros:

Auto Adjustments and Ease of Use make this small-install software from Adobe a killer addition to any designers toolbox. Although it is subscription-based, you can get this program, Photoshop, and Premiere Rush for $10 a month! That's an absolute steal and a perfect toolbox for even the most seasoned editor.

Cons:

I have honestly not found a feture of this software that I do not like. it does exactly what i want, when I want, and alot of those times it does what i want for me with very little involvement from me.

My photos have a much better quality after I met Lightromm.

5.0 last year

Comments: The App is indispensable for my work today. I love using it and recommend it to all my friends. It has completely improved the result of my photos, I love this app and won't stop using it!

Pros:

I love the Lightroom App. I use it daily, I can no longer post any photos before I use it. It has completely changed the quality of my photos. It is very easy to use, the tools are easy to find, it allows you to save the settings I used on one photo so I can use them on others, it is just amazing.

Cons:

I already like the App a lot, but just to improve it could have even more presets.

My go to

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

I like that the pro-version has presets they can provide to you and some tutorial videos on how to edit or remove videos. I love being able to access all my phones on my phone from the platform.

Cons:

I don't like how long it takes to sync the photos on my phone, when I need them as soon as possible and they're all on my laptop theres like half or part on my phone and I just wait all day hoping it'll sync up but I need to be active on my laptop or it doesn't load. so annoying.

best editing app

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: The application is the best at the moment, I use it for personal editions, but for photographers it is excellent and has been winning the hearts of many professionals, precisely because of the efficiency and practicality that the application delivers. I always use it because when I want images with the same edition and quality, it gives me this feature of editing and keeping the same edition in all images

Pros:

The practicality of editing the photos and the option of offering the same edition and quality by copying and pasting in all the photos, if they are photos in the same light and angle, it makes editing the photos much easier as it speeds up the work instead of applying the photos at home same editions

Cons:

I have nothing to question about the application, at the moment it delivers what it promises

Adobe Lightroom - The Field Photographer's Must-have Software

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Without Adobe Lightroom, my business would experience longer delivery times to publish content. Lightroom enables extremely fast import of new image files and export of finished art. Lightroom enables lightning-fast search and retrieval of images I need to review and select for published content. And lastly, Lightroom handles all aspects of image file management - of over 140,000 images located on multiple hard drives. Lightroom is a competitive advantage in my business.

Pros:

I have been a Lightroom user since the beginning of Lightroom, and it has become a critical part of my business processes. I really value Adobe's technical support and frequent updates to the product as new cameras and new capabilities are introduced to the market. One feature of Lightroom that literally saves me hours every day is the keyword tagging and search feature. As a writer and book publisher, it is critically important to me that I be able to find specific photos in my archive of over 140,000 images. Using Lightroom, I can enter a few keywords and Lightroom finds images tagged with those values within seconds. This capability alone is the difference between published a finished book layout in time, or missing a deadline.

Cons:

There is not much that I don't like about Lightroom, but I must admit that there is one aspect of the product design that sometimes confuses novice users. That aspect is the data architecture it assigns when importing images, which assures that the original photo file is untouched. Essentially, Lightroom never changes an original image because it records the "path" to the location where each image existed at the time of import. Then, as edits are made to an image, a text file is created to record edits made, such as "increase contrast by +2" or "adjust horizon by -21 degrees." The most common complaint I hear from novice users is "my image disappeared from Lightroom." Invariably, when I help these individuals I learn that the user had changed the folder name, or the location of the file on the computer, which changes the "path" Lightroom uses to find the underlying image - remember, Lightroom does to protect the original file from accidental changes.

the best image editor

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: It is a complex application, mainly due to its many functions, which also makes it a very complete application for editing. In addition to exporting everything with great quality. I highly recommend it, if you have difficulties at first, persist until you understand each feature, it's worth it

Pros:

I wouldn't say that the application is easy to use, especially for those who are not familiar with image editing, myself, when I installed it, two years ago, I found it quite difficult and I looked for many videos on youtube that could help me. But once you get the hang of it, get more familiar with the tools, you won't want to edit anywhere else. I find the application very complete, with several functions, with the option of filters saved by the user, which make it very easy as well. One thing that might seem small, but I really like it and haven't seen it in similar apps, is the option to "zero" the edit I was doing quite easily.

Cons:

it's been a while since, in the "mask" option you could select only the sky, or a "subject". I only managed to do this once! Every other time the app restarts and I lose everything I've edited. So, this function, which is not that new, doesn't work on my device, nor on my husband's device.

The only software I use as a professional photographer

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Adobe Lightroom is my all-in-one solution for my work as a professional photographer. It offers many options (Import-Editing-Export), and it's way easier to use than Adobe Photoshop. Batch processing is a key feature when it comes down to editing a lot of photos at the same time.

Pros:

Adobe Lightroom is easy-to-use, importing hundreds of RAW photos is fast, and the editing process is much more intuitive than Adobe Photoshop (especially batch processing). Sliders are used to edit the photos, which makes it a breeze to experiment and develop a fast workflow. Exporting the photos into smaller Jpegs for web usage works great too.

Cons:

I have the impression that Adobe Lightroom is the reason that slows down my iMac. It takes quite a long time to start the software. Once you add a lot of photos to a catalog, it even gets worse. Therefore make sure you have enough RAM/storage space on your computer.

One stop shop!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, the good far outweighs the negative and Lightroom has become an irreplaceable part of my workflow.

Pros:

Lightroom has really grown over the years to become a nearly one stop shop for photo editing needs. Unless you are making drastic alterations to a photo where Photoshop is required, Lightroom can handle a majority of the workflow and also integrates well with organization and has features that allow for the upload to your website via plugins.

Cons:

Over the years adobe has moved away from single license pricing to a cloud based subscription model and updates occasionally have bugs that take a bit of time to resolve, especially for Mac products.

Photo editing at your fingertips

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: I enjoy photo editing and Adobe Lightroom make it even more enjoyable with it's powerful photo editing and management features. While I would love to see more photoshop tools integrated in the program, I would still recommend this program to anyone interested in taking their photos to the next level.

Pros:

Lightroom is very easy to use, has a great interface and is also very affordable. I like that you can get the app free with almost all the desktop features. This makes it easy for photographers to edit their images on-the-go. When teaching photography to my class, this is the 'go to' app I instruct them to download. I also love that in the mobile app there is a learn and discover section so you can continue to develop your editing skills.

Cons:

Lightroom doesn’t have anywhere near the same amount of features as Photoshop or other more expensive programs. Recently there was an update where they added, some features from photoshop but they still have some more work to do for photographers to not continue their edits in photoshop. It would be nice to see Adobe Lightroom introduce social media integration or video editing features built-in.
