Best learning platform for data analytics and data science

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall, we had a great experience using DataCamp as our learning platform for our data team. As a manager, it's very convenient to recommend and assign courses for my team members to work on while also being able to check their progress.

Pros:

First, I like the interactive learning style in DataCamp. It's much more effective to learn while coding and getting instant feedback, while also doing it at your own pace. I also like the quality and wide range of courses in DataCamp.

Cons:

The price is a bit high. Other than that, I don't really have anything else I dislike about DataCamp.

Great Quality content for all the Data folks

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall, I really liked the platform where they provide so many features that has helped me and my team gain knowledge, sharpen the skills and helps us get back to Datacamp when we have to refer something keeping our daily work in progress.

Pros:

Gained a lot of knowledge with various topics on Cloud concepts, Data analytics, Python, R programming, BigData concepts with both bite sized videos of theory at first where the instructors from the industry explain with examples, after each video there is a hands-on session with a simple and nice interface. There is also a workspace area where we can practice and showcase our skills and share it too being part of our portfolio. The assessments they provide us gives us information about what we learn, the areas we are strong in and the progress of our learning. Lastly, there is good support, when stuck we can get hints to proceed with the programming tasks, MCQs. Apart from this there is a Slack community where there are lot of active users and instructors that solve doubts quickly and efficiently.

Cons:

Their VM crashes when learning the Tableau, Power BI and it takes a lot of time for it to load initially. Secondly, I faced an issue with the course progress where I had completed 3 modules/chapters out of 4, but when I tried to proceed to the next chapter (4th), it automatically reseted the progress of the 3rd chapter and showed that I did not complete it. Had taken screenshots and sent had given the feedback in the feedback section for each module.

Comments: Is an excellent tool to still mentally active and develop new skills.

Pros:

You have access to so many courses that help you to start or continue the progress in any particular skill, which in my case was coding.

Cons:

The cost overall is not bad, but I don not want to pay for courses that I'm not interested in.

My Review of DataCamp

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: My overall experience with DataCamp is very good and I enjoy learning through it.

Pros:

I like that DataCamp focuses on computer science which has a huge demand in the market. I also like that each course is offered in two programming languages like python or R language. The interface of DataCamp is straightforward and makes you want always to keep learning.

Cons:

I don't like that DataCamp doesn't have any discussion forum that allows us to exchange information and share our knowledge. Also, DataCamp is overpriced compared to the competitors and doesn't provide any scholarships

Datacamp is filling in the gaps of my data science knowledge

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: It has been really great, within a few weeks, the content of the course had changed how I approached my code at work.

Pros:

I have been working as a data analyst for the last few years but my educational path has been pretty self-driven up to this point. Datacamp is helping me to fill in the gaps with all of the stuff I don't know I don't know.

Cons:

I wish there was a better way to download the materials for later review.

Fantastic Challenges

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

Content is gradually increased, so you don't feel overwhelmed. The challenges they give you during chapters, is brilliant - it checks your knowledge. I've competed 3 courses so far, and am on my 4th - and they all seem to have the same style of delivery.

Cons:

The hints, they are most of the time, awful. Actually its frustrating, learning something new, being given hints which simply put - do not help at all.....

Oh what a great learning platform!

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Everything! This is one of the best platforms to learn Python/R/Data Analysis to ever exist! I can't believe how well their programs are created, how interactive and challenging they are, and how well the whole experience is designed.

Cons:

Sometimes the tasks in courses were a bit uneven when it comes to level of difficulty, but I think that's a very personal opinion of mine.

Engaging and Smart Data Subjects Learning Platform

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

free courses are complete, videos and practices are well prepared. Thanks to the suggested learning paths, one can become a real specialist. The gamified platform is easy and fun to interact with. Price is affordable, you pay less than a monthly Netflix subscription. There are challenges and live events that make you feel like in a real academy.

Cons:

I can't really find anything that hurts my experience. I know that it can't be compared to a traditional University Course, but for the price I paid, the deal one gets is more than fair.

Good Educational Resource

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall, DataCamp is a great enterprise resource for learning new skills, albeit a bit simplistic for practicing.

Pros:

I enjoy the way DataCamp lessons are structured and easy to follow. There are also a wealth of classes pertaining to everything a data scientists/engineer/analyst would ever need for career growth.

Cons:

Many of the datacamp lessons are overly simplistic. DataCamp could also offer more practice problems or assessments for skill building.
